Number 30
Cara has arranged a huge surprise for Remi - getting her friend Felicity to come round and do her hair as a way to make her chill given all she is currently going through.
Mount Dandenong
Vic, Nicolette and Byron arrive for their trip and their visit reminds them of previous trips to the area. With a quick check they've got all the necessary supplies, and that Vic really is up for it, the trio head off.
Erinsborough High
Despite originally saying no, Jane decides to skive work to join the rest of the family on their hike and Curtis is more than happy to cover for her.
Eirini Rising (outside)
With the necessary safety gear being worn, Karl is the one cleaning up the mess left from the stink bomb going off. He wishes that both Susan and Terese had safety gear on too but Susan thinks that is an over- reaction… she's fairly confident its just another "teenage prank" and "seen a thousand stink bombs" over her lengthy teaching career and is sure there is nothing sinister. Both Susan and Terese are in agreement that the stink bomb going off at Eirini Rising isn't acceptable and Terese heads off to speak to Jane about it.
Number 30
It's a now completely different hairstyle from Remi - she now has a didi hairstyle courtesy of Felicity. Cara and JJ are happy to see Felicity and Remi's new hair do when they return from the hospital, Dex is being given some "self- care time" even if he is bored! JJ is banned from being bored - he's got to find himself a new job until he can return to school.
Erinsborough High
Even though she knows Jane is taking the day off, Terese (and Susan) come to complain about the kids coming through the connecting door to let off the stink bomb. Curtis promises to do some investigating over who did the deed but can't help regarding the door, they will need to speak to Jane about that.
Mount Dandenong
Jane arrives and heads in the direction of where the forest walks begin to try and join the others. She yells out their names but nobody replies so she carries on.
Number 22
Toadie is packing up is bag for the trip to Colac although refuses to explain why he's taking certain things with him to Terese!
The pair are surprised to see JJ arrive given Nell is at school, but he is there to see Terese - to ask her for a job at Eirini Rising. She promises to have a think about it and he departs happy. Toadie isn't happy at her contemplating giving JJ a job, describing him as "walking trouble."
TERESE: I happen to be all about giving people second chances.
It eventually twigs with Toadie that statement includes him too, which he is thankful for but thinks she doesn't need any more extra drama at work and doesn't think hiring JJ will help her stress levels.
Erinsborough High
Curtis begins his investigation by talking to Nell - he (and Jane) caught her earlier on by the connecting door [she was looking for some poster paper]. Nell isn't too pleased at being questioned and makes her innocence known before suggesting where Curtis can head to, to find the answers he is after.
Mount Dandenong
Nicolette, Byron and Vic are very much enjoying their hike and when they reach the summit are rewarded with fantastic views.
Eirini Rising
To help make her mind up, Terese runs by giving JJ a job with both Susan and Karl. It appears that she is leaning towards giving the lad a chance especially as she trusts him more than the kids at the school given the stink bomb incident!
Susan does her best to calm Terese down over the lack of progress in the investigation to find out who was responsible and doesn't think they will see a repeat incident and they have to allow due process at the school too without any interference!
Number 30
Even though Toadie doesn't know there aren't any adults at #30, Nell arrives for a catch up with JJ. She hears that he has been sacked from the vineyard but that he has spoken to Terese about a job, something she seems happy to hear… I wonder why!
Eirini Rising
Curtis drops by with an update to his investigation - it was kids from the school who were responsible as he found the evidence in the science labs (culprits as yet unidentified) and that they got in via Jane's master door key.
Nobody knows how the kids got hold of Jane's key and Terese is beginning to wonder if Jane is "taking this enterprise seriously enough." Susan is quick to defend Jane as she is "invested as the rest of us" and is "just going though a really awful time" and "made a mistake" and that it is "no reason to question the entire arrangement." Terese apologises for getting it wrong and thanks Susan for talking her down too even though the K's do get that she's having a hard time lately.
SUSAN: We are all on the same team, all right? Don't you ever doubt that!
TERESE: And that's exactly why I love having you work by my side.
Mount Dandenong
The kids aren't happy that Vic has pushed himself too much and is now feeling it as they make their way downhill. Vic is frustrated at his body not being up to the task to be able to enjoy an outing with his kids. Both remind him that he is sick and suggest going to a tea room to help him recover.
They then suddenly spot Jane's car parked behind their one but there isn't a phone signal to give her a call, and with Vic under instructions to stay put, the kids head off to try and track their mum down.
Number 22
Toadie is all packed up and admits he is going to be sad to leave everyone behind, even if he is concerned about the health of his parents to make him have to go away. Terese admits she will miss him and the happy moment is interrupted when the kids arrive, including Hugo handing Toadie a bell for his grandparents to use!
Nell pulls Terese aside to see if she's made her mind up about giving JJ a job. Terese hasn't yet so Nell puts a word in on his behalf to try and convince her! Should JJ get the job, there is a possibility that she might get distracted which won't do her nor him any favours.
NELL: I'll be an angel, I promise! At home and at school.
Number 30
It seems that Nell's words made the difference, JJ finishes talking to Terese to tell his parents about his job as a residence assistant. They are happy at the news, although are concerned that this could lead to him breaking Toadie's rules about seeing Nell however the lad reassures them that he won't, plus there will be too many people around for them not to be alone!
Mount Dandenong
The kids aren't happy at Vic joining in with the search for Jane when the trio run into each other. He seems to be the only one with genuine concern that Jane "shouldn't be out there alone." With those words said, the kids head off again to try other routes and order him to again stay put!
Ramsay Street
Toadie finishes loading the car and warns the kids to behave with Terese while he is away.
HUGO: We're only naughty for you dad… never for Terese!
With a final family hug, he gets into the car and heads off.
Mount Dandenong
Vic has yet again ignored the orders to stay put and has gone looking for Jane too, however it has come at a price as he really is struggling. Then, just as finishes climbing up a hill, he spots Jane's hat lying on the ground… but its come at a price as Vic collapses onto the ground.
