Lassiters Car Park
Paul is about to drive off to lunch with Estelle when Terese throws herself in front of the car and demands they stop. Terese yells at her mother to get out, and then at Paul for trying to concoct another scheme. There's a lot of back and forth, but Terese eventually wins out and drags Estelle home.
The Waterhole
Harlow notices that Glen's in a lot of pain but he pretends he's managing. She finds out he's looking for Terese and offers to drive him home, but Glen says it's only a flare up and the walking helps. Harlow floats the idea again of getting the morphine script filled, except Glen doesn't want to risk it now he's out of the safely monitored confines of the hospital.
HARLOW: Terese can help. She can manage your meds and give them to you whenever you need them.
GLEN: She's got far too much on her plate right now.
HARLOW: Glen does she know how much pain you're in?
GLEN: I don't want to be another problem for her to handle.
HARLOW: You know she wouldn't think like that.
GLEN: I don't want her worrying about me. Promise you won't tell her.
HARLOW: (reluctantly) Okay.
GLEN: I'd appreciate it if you don't say anything to Paul as well.
HARLOW: No of course not, it's none of his business.
Glen thanks her and gingerly makes his way out, leaving Harlow concerned.
Number 22
Terese thinks Estelle is lying when she says she was only trying to gather intel on Paul for her daughter. Terese exasperatedly says her mum has no idea who she's dealing with, but Estelle replies that she knows men.
TERESE: He's not interested in you! He's just trying to get in my head.
ESTELLE: I'd say he's succeeding. Look how worked up you are. I had him right where I wanted him. You should have let me work my angle.
TERESE: Your angle?! Oh come on, mum, you're not James Bond.
ESTELLE: Go ahead and laugh, I was trying to help you and this is the thanks I get. (She storms upstairs just as Glen arrives home)
GLEN: (bewildered) What'd I miss?
The Waterhole
Freya and Levi are trying to decide what to do for their date but Freya doesn't want Levi to splurge too much cash on her when she can't repay him right now. They eventually decide to have a simple picnic in the park. Levi will bring the food, and Freya will supply the drinks and the blanket.
Number 22 Backyard
The next morning Glen is having a coffee while Terese waters the garden. They talk about Estelle and Glen asks if Terese believed all of her mum's excuses about spying on Paul. Terese knows it sounds crazy, but Estelle really does believe she'll be able to "femme fatale Paul" into confessing almost anything.
GLEN: He'd never fall for it.
TERESE: We know that but she doesn't. And let's face it, she loves being wined and dined. She's never met a bank account that she didn't like, especially when it was attached to an available man. And even then sometimes they didn't need to be available. Anyway, I've told her to call off the spy mission.
Terese says she's going to water the front yard then make them more coffees. Glen offers to do the watering, but Terese points out he was up all night because his back was giving him grief. Glen tries to play down how much pain he's in.

Estelle visits Paul, telling him she needed to get out of the house for a while. She compliments him on the place and then takes note of his business compendium sitting on the coffee table. Estelle also says she's there to apologise for what happened with Terese yesterday.
PAUL: It's not your fault.
ESTELLE: Terese has always been insecure when it comes to men. I guess you could say there's always been a rivalry between us, which is quite silly really because I'm her mother. I'm not her rival.
PAUL: But you're also a very beautiful woman in your own right.
ESTELLE: That's kind of you to say.
PAUL: Just stating the obvious. You didn't get into trouble with Terese when you got home I hope?
ESTELLE: This is a very sensitive time for her. She's very emotional.
PAUL: I've noticed.
ESTELLE: But I managed to reassure her.
Paul then gets a phone call from John Wong, so he excuses himself to answer in another room. While he's away, Estelle snoops through Paul's compendium and finds paperwork with a 'Sapiko & Bazz Holding' letterhead. She takes photos of it on her phone.
Lassiters Park
Freya and Levi are having a nice time on their picnic flirting with each other and kissing. They decide they probably should get going, but also can't stop smooching.
Lassiters Complex
Harlow bumps into Glen and says she came up with an idea that could help him out. She offers to be the one to manage his pain meds so he doesn't take too many. Glen appreciates the support but doesn't want Harlow to be responsible for him either. Harlow's disappointed but understands, and lets Glen know the offer still stands. When she leaves, Glen sees Estelle and Paul emerge from the hotel. Estelle tells Paul that she can't wait for their next catch up - what Terese doesn't know won't hurt her. Paul gives Estelle's hand a kiss before heading back inside. Glen is immediately onto Estelle.
GLEN: If you think you're playing Paul that just means he's playing you on a level you can't understand. You're out of your depth.
ESTELLE: I know you want to protect Terese but so do I.
Lassiters Park
Freya and Levi are trying to cobble a plan together of where they can be alone but #24 and #28 are too busy with people organising wedding things. Freya then decides that the surrounding trees are good enough, and undresses a little bit to entice Levi, who is reluctant at first but then follows Freya into the wild. Meanwhile, two kids have noticed Freya and Levi stripping off and start laughing.
Harold's Café
Terese is irked when she finds out that Estelle met up with Paul again, but Estelle says she got some solid intel this time from his "tatty looking leather pouch". Terese can't believe Estelle got anywhere near the compendium, but Estelle shows her the photo she took on her phone of the document. The photo is blurry so Estelle says it's an invoice from a company called Sapiko & Bazz for $20,000. Terese hasn't heard of them before and tells her mum she needs to quit while she's ahead with the spying.
ESTELLE: But what about the Sapiko & Bazz business?
TERESE: Why is this so important to you?
ESTELLE: Because I don't want to see you settling for anything less than what you're worth.
TERESE: (calming down a notch) I appreciate it, I really do. But you don't have to worry about me.
ESTELLE: I know I've let you down too many times, and I've missed out on too many important moments. But I really want it to be different this time.
Terese feels that her mum is being genuine so tells her there's something she'd really like her to see.
Lassiters Hotel Foyer
Terese has taken Estelle to the plaque dedicated to Josh and Doug. She says she didn't bring her mum here to feel bad, she just comes here sometimes when she wants to be closer to Josh. Estelle reminisces about the times she used to take Josh to swim lessons when he was young.
TERESE: He loved you taking him to those classes.
ESTELLE: One time I had to bribe him out with ice cream. Then it became our thing - ice cream after every class.
TERESE: (with a sad smile) He kept that up you know. Even when he was training he'd sneak in an ice cream.
ESTELLE: (upset) I'm sorry, Terese, I stayed away. I thought it was the right thing at the time. I didn't want our arguing to make things even worse. And I'll always, always wish I'd been there for his funeral.
TERESE: Yeah, well, we can't change the past. We can make things different this time. I'm prepared to if you are?
ESTELLE: Yes, I'd like that. A lot.
A tentative truce line has been drawn between them.
Lassiters Park
Freya and Levi have finished frolicking in the bushes but soon realise their clothes have been stolen. Levi thinks it was the kids who were playing soccer before and is mortified at the thought of being caught out in the nuddie. Freya says she'll call Chloe and get her to bring them some clothes, but Levi stops her, saying if Chloe finds out then the whole street will know. They decide the only solution is for one of them to wrap the picnic blanket around themselves and scurry back to Ramsay Street for provisions. Freya insists on doing the scurrying because she's not about to sit butt naked amongst the trees.

Paul sees Glen emerge from the elevator and blithely says it was only a matter of time before he charged in on his big white horse. Paul then adds that it's none of Glen's business what he does, but Glen counters that as long as he's in Terese's life "her happiness is my business".
PAUL: All right, let's get this over and done with. Spit it out.
GLEN: You've taken away the job she loved, you're turning this divorce into a battlefield and now you're going after her mother. How many more people are gonna get hurt?
PAUL: I suppose I should be flattered that you think I'm that powerful. You know, I can't really claim credit for all of Terese's problems, much as I'd like to.
GLEN: Your issue is with me. I'm the one you want to hurt, so come after me. Give me everything you've got and leave Terese alone.
PAUL: Why would I waste my time on a failed addict who has never made good on anything in his life? You're nothing to me, Glen.
Lassiters Hotel Foyer
Terese is showing Estelle photos on her phone of Imogen on her wedding day, saying that she looks a lot like her grandmother. And also a photo of Piper on her last day of year twelve, admitting it was a tough year for her. Terese then passes Estelle her phone so she can keep looking at photos while she goes to the toilet. Just as Terese leaves, Paul exits the elevator and spots Estelle. He asks if she wants to reschedule their lunch, but Estelle is quite brusque with him and says they shouldn't see each other anymore because it's not fair on Terese.
PAUL: Hang on a second, what happened to 'what she doesn't know won't hurt her'?
ESTELLE: She's my daughter, I want to support her.
Paul says he understands but looks quite annoyed when he turns away from her.
Number 28
Levi and Freya are now fully dressed. Levi hopes Mrs Punt didn't see Freya run up the street wearing the picnic blanket before, but Freya promises the coast was clear. They soon realise the house is empty and Levi starts to laugh when he finds a note from the Kennedys that says they'll be out getting wedding stuff done all day. Their naked rendezvous was all for nothing. On the bright side, now they have more alone time that they've been craving. They start to kiss and Levi carries Freya to his room.
Number 22
Wincing in pain, Glen arrives home with a bag from the pharmacy. He's reached his limit for discomfort, and the ice pack isn't cutting it, so he decides to take three of the morphine pills at once.
