Number 22
"How could you do this to me," an angry Terese says to Glen... but she's actually referring to the card game they're playing rather than anything else! Getting genuinely serious this time, she thanks him for keeping her company even though she still feels guilty at not going to Roxy's hen's do. Glen reassures her she did the right thing then asks how she is feeling about going to the wedding and while Terese is okay about the alcohol bit, it's more the whole wedding thing that is worrying her - making her "dwell on past relationships" and of course the fact Paul will be there too. Glen wishes he could do more to help but is told he is doing more than he realises, and in return, he reassures Terese that she is getting through just now "because of your own strength."
The waterhole
When Chloe expressions concern that the happy couple don't look too happy, Sheila fills her in on their woes... and that Roxy has cancelled the wedding! "What did you do?!" she angrily asks Mick and while he admits responsibility for some of their woes, ultimately he can't control the weather!
Meanwhile Roxy reassures Kyle she does want to marry him... just without the stress they currently have. As an alternative she suggests they elope because it means "no planning" and "no stress" either and if done right, it could still be "romantic and fun!" Kyle isn't too keen on that but is told to think about it and they'll discuss it later at home.
After Roxy heads off, Kyle heads over to the others to tell them about Roxy's idea of eloping. Chloe is the brave one to comment and asks if he's onboard and the reply back is "no way!"
KYLE: We are having a wedding tomorrow!
Despite the other wedding woes, Kyle is determined that he can "do this" even if from the facial expressions of Chloe and Mick in particular, who think otherwise!
Number 22
Glen and Terese come into the kitchen from the sunroom and she gets an eyeful of his torso as he changes his top ahead of meeting Melanie. Thankfully Susan's arrival spares any awkwardness prolonging although she has picked up on it and quizzes Terese about it after Glen heads off. Terese describes her 'eyeful' as them having "a moment" but is quick to add too that it was "nothing" before curtailing the chat leaving Susan somewhat bemused.
The Waterhole
Chloe has come up with venue for the wedding - using the Lassiters ballroom albeit using cobbled together furniture. Mick suggests a run to the shops to buy the necessary supplies to hid the fact the furniture is all different and between the pair, they reassure Kyle that it will look "like a million bucks" once they've finished.
Aaron comes over to ask how he can help (having heard about their woes) and is asked to sort out the flowers, which he readily agrees to. Very reluctantly, Aaron agrees to letting Mick help but only because he knows what flowers Roxy likes... and the proviso that them working together doesn't make them friends!
Harold's café
Paul interrupts Glen's lunch with Melanie to tell him that his car is being delivered today, although Glen is adamant that he still doesn't want the vehicle. Glen then tries to wind his brother up about where and whom he is living with and Paul knows the real reason why he's moved in, because Glen is interested in Terese. He denies this fact and wants Paul to "give it a rest" which he is unwilling to do while he perceives Glen to be taking advantage of a vulnerable Terese.
PAUL: Even I'm keeping my distance, so what does that say about you eh?!
GLEN: ...
PAUL: She gets hurt; your life is not going to be worth living. Do you understand?
Number 26 (garden)
Terese and Sheila are trying to chat with Roxy about eloping when Kyle arrives with an update [about the wedding] but everyone's attention is drawn to someone else's sudden arrival - Kyle's mum who did a 'Jack in the box' impression by appearing from a HUGE box in the middle of the lawn.
SHARON: Happy day before the wedding day!
Roxy thinks that Sharon is a stripper (organised by Mick) and its Kyle who explains the surprise visitor. Thankfully Sharon takes what Roxy said as "a compliment" and Kyle has a quiet word without her (about causing trouble) as neither Sheila nor Terese are exactly jumping for joy at her presence.
Harold's café
Glen is annoyed at Paul having a go at him and concedes to Melanie that perhaps he does have feelings for Terese. "Glen this is not good," Melanie warns although he's quick to add in that he wouldn't take advantage of Terese. Melanie wonders if the feelings are reciprocated but he doesn't think so although does tell her about the moment but thinks it just made them uncomfortable.
MELANIE: You cannot let anything happen.
GLEN: I won't.
He reassures Melanie that he can handle being with Terese although from the look she gives back, Melanie seriously doubts that!
Number 26 (garden)
Gemma arrives back to Erinsborough for the wedding and has brought Great Grandma Edna's diamonds with her as so Roxy can use as her "something old and something blue." Roxy really loves what her mum has brought with her... and then drops the bombshell that there isn't going to be a wedding tomorrow! Gemma interprets this as them splitting, which Roxy is quick to correct and explain that they're thinking of eloping because the wedding is a mess.
As well as Gemma, all the other ladies (Terese, Sharon and Sheila) work together at giving Roxy a reassuring pep talk to change her mind about eloping. Thankfully the words pay off as Roxy yells out:
ROXY: Let's make this wedding happen!
Ramsay Street
Chloe gets the thumbs up from Roxy to go ahead and design the venue with the plan she's come up with after showing them to her. Roxy apologises to Chloe and Kyle about freaking out, explaining that her "wedding mama's" had a word with her.
Paul interrupts the trio when he arrives in the car bought originally for Glen and hands it over as a wedding pressie to the happy couple! Both are taken aback at the gesture, but they ultimately accept the offer and rush to the car to check it out.
Chloe thinks there is an ulterior motive (Terese finding out) but while dismissing her suggestion, does add that it wouldn't do any harm if Terese did find out about what he has done.
Number 22
When he returns to #22, Glen is roped into helping Terese, Gemma and Susan make centrepieces for the wedding. Terese tries to get him to work with her on the flowers, but Glen virtually ignores her and instead suggests they transport all the components to the kitchen to work there instead and its Gemma he ropes into helping lug the stuff through.
(Later)
It is Sharon who is the one to tell Terese about Paul's generosity when she (and Sheila) arrive to pitch in with the assembly line. Although initially appearing shocked at hearing the news, Terese then admits she isn't uncomfortable... but what is making her uncomfortable is seeing how well Glen and Gemma are getting on with each other. Trying to 'retaliate' Terese drops it into the conversation about Glen moving into #22 and how he has changed which causes the conversation and the happy atmosphere to suddenly cease!
Ramsay Street
Its Karl, Aaron and Mick's turn to give the new wheels a once over and they seem impressed with it. Karl also hears some good news - the happy couple have asked him to play some acoustic guitar, which of course he is over the moon with. Even Mick is happy at hearing the couple do plan on paying him for his services.
Aaron refuses Mick's offer of walking him home, so Karl assumes that them being on speaking terms means that he is now "off the hook." Mick looks a bit bemused at Karl getting the wrong end of the stick, eventually putting the Doc out of his misery by explain what he was after - free plastic surgery! "You're no use to me," Mick then declares after hearing that Karl isn't a plastic surgeon and nor Erinsborough hospital do elective cosmetic procedures!
Number 22
Sharon is curious to know from Terese what the story is between Glen and Gemma given the pair are getting on together like a house on fire. Trying not to let her envy be seen too much, Terese explains that they dated for a bit when they were younger and that there is "history there" too. Sharon thinks that history will be getting repeated very soon and Terese is very quick to jump in to rule her theory out, insinuating that the pair are just "good friends."
Sheila tries to get everyone to focus on getting the centrepieces made, but Terese ignores that, and instead with as much subtly as a brick, asks Gemma if she is seeing anyone in Darwin? Gemma reaffirms that she is single and then suggests to Glen that he comes with her to help decorate the suite everyone has chipped in with for the happy couple. "Why not?" Glen replies back - thankfully not seeing the daggers coming from Terese's eyes as the pair head out of the house.
Harold's café
Susan is having a cuppa with Chloe and Terese having sought refuge in the café to allow Karl to practise his acoustic piece for the wedding! Terese though is more worried about what Glen and Gemma are up to - the pair having ignored her text to see if they were having supper at #22. Susan questions why she plans to rush off to check on them and Chloe jokes if Terese is worried the pair will reignite what they had. Thinking quickly Terese explains that she is just trying to head off any ensuing drama that might result if something goes badly.
Terese's attention changes to Paul and his gift to the happy couple when he enters the café. Paul reassures Terese that his offer was genuine and not to win favour with her and adds that he isn't too amused she is seeking to find the worst in him.
PAUL: Is that really necessary?!
Number 22
"I think we officially have a wedding tomorrow," Roxy declares to Kyle after checking the 'to do' list has been actioned. "I can't believe we pulled it off," he admits back and she apologies for "freaking out."
ROXY: And just think, by tomorrow you will be Mr Roxy Willis.
KYLE: Mmm, can't wait Mrs Kyle Canning.
ROXY: We've gone through so much together. Now we get to sit, relax and enjoy life.
KYLE: For the rest of our lives.
Lassiters hotel
The impatient Terese has gone to see what Glen and Gemma are up to and as she approaches the hotel room, hears giggling coming from the room. She is already putting 2 and 2 together when Gemma appears behind her in the corridor. "
TERESE: I thought you were in there with Glen.
Gemma replies that they finished decorating the room ages ago and just as Terese is about to enter the room, the door suddenly opens to reveal Sharon in a dressing gown and in the background, we can see Glen doing his trousers up! Cue three very surprised faces looking at one another while Sharon (albeit a bit late) wants to put up the 'privacy' sign on the door to get ready for round 2 with Glen!
