Harold's café
The tension is still fraught between Chloe and Harlow when Jesse arrives in the café. His timely arrival does result though in the ladies playing nice again and then allows Chloe to remove herself from the table.
When they are alone, Jesse wants to talk to Harlow about what they will wear to the film festival premier. To get her in the mood for deciding, she feels the need for a movie marathon and the pair depart.
Number 32
Clive is round to at last get a cuddle from Isla and she marks the occasion by throwing up on him! So it is Jane to the rescue, taking the wee toot off to be tidied up, and the boys to providing a towel for Clive.
While Jane is out of the room (but she actually overhears them listening out in the corridor!), the conversation gets round to how Jane is coping after the news about Nicolette. Clive thinks she is doing well, considering, and is sure Jane was genuine in saying that she wasn't going to pursue the hunt for Nicolette. Paul is more than happy to hear Clive say that!
PAUL: The sooner we can all forget about Nicolette, the better!
Number 24
Chloe comes home in a foul mood and cites it as "work drama" when Jane asks. Clive's stress relief advice is for her to go spend some time with Isla!
The mood sullens somewhat when Jane gets a calendar reminder that she was supposed to have afternoon tea with Nicolette and the baby - their first post-birth outing. Jane puts her brave face on and goes to cancel the booking.
Number 28
Hendrix is telling the K's about his submission for the film festival, which involves filming at the school. Susan gives her blessing to him filming there (subject to a few conditions) although Hendrix' biggest hurdle is stopping Karl from wanting to help him out!
Number 24
Having cancelled the reservation, Jane finds an excuse to get out of house alone to have some time to herself.
While Clive thinks Jane is coping very well, Chloe can see through her façade and talks to him about it.
CHLOE: But it's not like she can press delete and forget she loves her daughter.
"So what do we do?" Clive asks and Chloe thinks they stop pressurising Jane "to be okay", and instead giving her "the space and time she needs to feel whatever she is feeling." To aid that, Clive has an idea.
Number 22
Jesse is curious to know from Harlow what was going on between her and Chloe when he arrived in Harold's, but given Terese is in the kitchen too, she suggest they head out into the garden.
As those two head out the back door, Paul enters the front door and Terese immediately wants to talk to him about Harlow's job. She isn't pleased he wants to cut another position (to pay Harlow's wages) "for the sake of a position you've invented" and while she gets that Harlow is good, she wonders if the lass is actually better than any of the other employees "that you don't even have a personal connection to!" To bide time, she wants them to go through the portfolio of every senior role at Lassiters "and then we can decide what our next move is."
Number 32
Chloe is round for dinner at #32, eagerly waiting David bringing Isla out for cuddles. While they wait, Chloe tells her brother about Paul creating "this bogus executive" position for Harlow which [later] resulted in them having a run-in. "This really has me questioning her," Chloe admits especially as she'd previously considered Harlow to "be a friend." Aaron thinks its simply "a misunderstanding" thus suggests she has a "calm" talk with Harlow to resolve things.
Number 22
Taking Aaron's advice, Chloe calls round to have a chat with Harlow. She begins by explaining her reaction [to Harlow getting the job] was down to feeling insecure. That puzzles Harlow, so Chloe explains that with Lassiters being "a family business" and she "isn't family" it thus feels like Chloe is being "inched out." Harlow concedes why Chloe feels worried and accepts the apology that is being offered... but doesn't return one back for what was said in Harold's, given nothing said "was untrue."
CHLOE: It doesn't matter if its true. Do you really think that's an appropriate way to speak to someone you work with?
HARLOW: What, so now I'm unprofessional?!
Realising she isn't going to win; Chloe decides to leave the house instead.
Harlow spots Terese (and Paul) coming downstairs and immediately asks if they've confirmed the details about her job yet. Looking almost hesitant, Terese responds that the job "isn't final" as "there is still a lot to consider."
Number 28
Karl is just about to have a glass of wine when the lights suddenly go off. He thinks Susan is responsible, however it was Hendrix, who has just scared the living daylights out of Karl by using him as a guineapig for his film submission. Hendrix's penance for doing that, is Karl demanding to be 'Executive Producer' on his submission (to get round the rules...subject to Rose giving the thumbs up).
Number 22
After talking to Brent on the phone, Harlow seeks Jesse's advice on whether she threw "the Chloe thing out of proportion" or not? Jesse's reply is "not really" given it is a "cut throat" industry and you don't want people to "walk all over you." "It did feel good to stand up for myself," Harlow admits, which Jesse thinks she should take as a compliment!
Terese and Paul enter the living room and he heads to the kitchen (Harlow follows him to get the popcorn) allowing her to chat movies with Jesse. When she finds out what it is they are going to watch (The Royal Tenenbaums), she asks if she can watch with them as the film was Josh and Imogen's favourite when they were younger.
When getting the popcorn, Paul apologises to Harlow about the mixed messages about her new job. She gets the logistics going on but equally doesn't want to get her heart set on the role if its then going to disappear. Paul reassures her that she doesn't need to worry...
PAUL: Don't tell anyone I told you so, but [touching his nose] it's all but in the bag.
The Waterhole
Jane is not at all amused at Clive after taking a call from Susan when they are out having dinner - behind Jane's back, Clive had contacted Susan to suggest giving Jane another week off to allow her to "grieve without putting on an act" for a bit longer. After reassuring Susan that she is ready to return, she reminds Clive that he is her "partner" and "not my doctor and certainly not my keeper!" Sarcastically she also thanks him too for humiliating her in front of her employer!
Number 22 (next day)
Terese wakes Jesse up after he fell asleep during the movie marathon. While she goes to make him a coffee, Chloe arrives wanting clarification on who is following up the film stuff with Amy. Given things haven't yet been resolved between the bosses, Terese tells Chloe to carry on as if its "a normal work day" and thus it is her "domain" to work on. Terese does promise to give her "some clear answers," once she gets a chance too.
TERESE: I just want you to remember that I really appreciate your help with the company... and my sanity!
Erinsborough High School
Susan is on hand to welcome Jane back accepts the apology given for Clive sticking his nose in. She is just about to do the 'I'm here for you' speech when a bunch of kids run by being chased by Hendrix. "That's definitely going in the final cut," a happy Hendrix remarks which of course confuses Jane until Susan fills her in. He is sorry to hear that she (and Clive) are no longer entering the film festival as he was sure they were a shoo-in to win their category.
Harold's café
Chloe catches her brother (and David) looking at photos of Isla while the wee toot sleeps in her pram. She leaves them to go have a word with the newly arrived Clive - he tells her about having words [with Jane] last night and now he is concerned for Jane. Chloe promises to have a word, to show it wasn't all Clive, and that she will keep an eye on her too.
Erinsborough High School
Jane is wondering the corridor at work and is getting emotional as she hears (in her head) things that Nicolette said to her. She then notices that she has been filmed after spotting [high up] one of the camera's Hendrix has set up for his film festival entry.
Just at that, Hendrix (and Karl) walk down the same corridor and she confronts him about his clandestine camera and whether everyone had given permission to be filmed. It dawns on the lad he hasn't got anything in place, so Karl suggests he puts a sign up saying recording is happening, but as far as Jane is concerned, it is too late!
JANE: Shame on you for filming people without their knowledge and shame on Susan for letting you go ahead with it!
KARL: That's a bit strong Jane!
Today wasn't the day to speak back to Jane and she asks if he has business being on school property (no) so she orders Karl off the premises! She isn't finished either and orders Hendrix to film his stuff elsewhere!
Lassiters hotel reception
When Jesse arrives for his shift, Terese thanks him for letting her crash their movie marathon - she enjoyed the trip down memory lane.
When she passes the reception desk, Chloe tells Terese she is about to go chat with Amy now (the meeting got pushed back) but a flurry of noise stops everyone - its an email to all employees informing them about Harlow's new role. "I thought you said nothing had been decided," a severely peeved off Chloe comments! "It hadn't," Terese says to reassure her (she looks equally peeved off!).
Paul and Harlow saunter into reception, barely keeping the smug smiles off their faces. Jesse breaks the atmosphere by congratulating Harlow on her position. Terese reminds her husband the EA position needed further discussion... but Paul twists it so apparently it was subject to "further examination", which he did and deduced that "the role is warranted." Paul offers to show her the justification for the position and the pair disappear elsewhere.
HARLOW: (to Chloe) Wouldn't the professional thing be to congratulate me?
CHLOE: ...
Erinsborough High School
Jane is looking at David's Instagram page and a photo of the happy family along with matching message saying 'Our little family is complete' and finds herself becoming emotional again.
It is Hendrix's misfortune to run into her again while doing his filming! "What part of me telling you to stop was unclear?!" she says to him and Hendrix's plea that he has almost finished wasn't the reply to give back! "I'm not doing anything wrong," he says, trying to plead his case to be allowed to carry on filming and backs it up by adding that he has all the necessary permissions [now] too.
HENDRIX: You're the only one that has a problem with this.
JANE: Hendrix!
HENDRIX: No! I shouldn't have to mangle with my film because your stress leave didn't work.
Jane is not impressed and raises her hand as if to go and hit Hendrix! She looks as surprised at her actions as he does!
Coming up on Neighbours

- Hendrix reviewing his film footage from the school.
- Jane admitting to Susan that she's done something terrible.
