Lassiters Park
Amy's body language suggests that she's gone off the idea of her and Ned and he suddenly realises this.
AMY: I just don't know if us is a good idea right now.
NED: You were all for it a few days ago.
AMY: Well, a woman can change her mind.
NED: Can a man ask why?
AMY: I just think our moment's passed, that's all.
NED: Right...
AMY: I'm sorry. I told Toadie I'd help him with something...I'm sorry, Ned.
As she leaves, Ned looks confused about what's just happened.
Number 32
David and Nicolette gush over some baby clothes and a teddy bear Mark and Paige had sent them, as Aaron walks in and jokes that they need to save some stuff for the actual baby shower. The baby kicks, and David asks if he can have a feel.
NICOLETTE: Yeah, course.
AARON: Oh wow, this is starting to feel really real.
DAVID: It doesn't get much realer than this.
David thanks Nicolette once again for everything and she says she'd do it all again in a heartbeat. As she gets up, the boys give her one more gift she can open; it's a pamper session at the day spa. She looks touched.
DAVID: Go spoil yourself, we'll finish setting up everything here.
NICOLETTE: I won't say no to that.
They all hug and she leaves.
AARON: I think we need to get ourselves party ready.
DAVID: Yay!
Number 24
Nicolette arrives home to a gift from her dad, Vic. Jane looks none too pleased, but Nic is thrilled when she opens it; it's a new expensive, green jacket.
JANE: I think it might be time for me to go and help the boys set up for the party.
NICOLETTE: Or you could come with me to the day spa. They gave me a voucher...you may not have given me the sexiest jacket ever made, but you're here. And that means so much more.
JANE: And there is nowhere else that I would rather be.
Nic rubs her baby bump on Jane.
JANE: Are you really leaving everything up to the boys?
NICOLETTE: Yeah...Leo and Chloe are leaving work early to help them so you and I are off the hook.
The Winery
Leo thanks Chloe for her help today as they've made plenty of progress. Chloe says it's no trouble as it's her job.
LEO: Anyway, we should head off, we've still got to pick up booze and ice for the baby shower.
Chloe receives a text from Nic with a picture of her wearing her new jacket. She doesn't look all too happy.
LEO: Are you ok?
CHLOE: Fine...I'm just not as gung-ho about today as the parents to be.
LEO: Well, maybe there's some more things you can check off your list?
CHLOE: We should probably take a look at the pictures from the florist.
LEO: Cool, we'll check out the sample arrangements out back.
CHLOE: Lead the way...
Harold's Café
Hendrix and Mackenzie are talking about Yashvi moving to Sydney. Mackenzie says she'll miss her, but Hendrix points out that they can go and visit, especially now Pierce has given him some flight vouchers.
HENDRIX: Right, we have a baby shower to get to...
MACKENZIE: You're going to that? You know that Leo's going to be there...
HENDRIX: It's not his baby we're showering.
MACKENZIE: And Nicolette isn't a massive fan of you either.
HENDRIX: The baby we're showering is Aaron and David's, and I'm good with them.
Mackenzie asks him to promise he won't bring up anything to do with Leo and Chloe at the baby shower, before he mentions that he said he'd help set everything up. She wonders why he'd offer to do that, hoping it's not so he can spy on Chloe and Leo. He promises that's got nothing to do with it.
MACKENZIE: Ok...
Number 32
Terese is helping the boys set everything up as Hendrix and Mackenzie arrive. Aaron and David say that it's good he brought extra help as Leo and Chloe haven't arrived yet, which causes Hendrix to make a dig about Leo. Mackenzie tells him to help Terese outside.
DAVID: What's up with him?
MACKENZIE: He's still dark with Leo for sacking him.
DAVID: Leo sacked him?
AARON: I thought Hendrix was going great guns at the vineyard.
DAVID: I hope the two of them being here won't cause any drama...
MACKENZIE: It won't.
DAVID: Mackenzie, what's going on?
MACKENZIE: It's fine...
AARON: It doesn't sound like it's fine.
MACKENZIE: Well, it would help if Leo stayed away from Chloe.
DAVID: Why is that?
MACKENZIE: Forget I said anything. Honestly.
The boys probe Mackenzie and she admits that Hendrix thinks Leo's interested in Chloe and only fired him because he called him out on it. Aaron thinks that's crazy and Mackenzie agrees, hoping to reassure the boys, but they all look worried.
Number 30
Yashvi is telling Toadie about her plans; that she'll be starting at Mishti's station in a few weeks. Until then, she'll be hanging out with family. Amy arrives home. She tells Vi she's heard about her moving.
AMY: Sydney's great. Except the humidity for the hair, what a nightmare.
YASHVI: How did you deal with that in Cairns?
Amy tells her about a trick she uses with hairspray, before Yashvi goes off to pack. Toadie asks Amy why she's not at work.
AMY: Ned came by the bar...he wanted to talk about us.
TOADIE: So you ran away?
AMY: Well, he thought that Yashvi leaving might change my mind. And I told him that our moment has passed.
TOADIE: But...
AMY: Well, he's so kind and he's thoughtful and smart, and makes me laugh. And he's hella hot...but the negatives outweigh the positives and it's not just the Yashvi thing. There's the whole Levi thing and let's face it, that's gonna come out because well...Erinsborough!
TOADIE: I would defend my people but that's accurate (laughs).
Amy says it would hurt Ned if he found out she'd been with Levi and she doesn't want to be the kind of person who goes from guy to guy. Toadie points out that there's plenty of people who'd be high fiving her by now for seeing two young handsome blokes.
AMY: Two who live on my street. And one who I employ!
Toadie looks in agreement.
Harold's Café
Yashvi walks in the Café and calls Ned's name but his mind's elsewhere. She asks if he's thinking about things with Amy but he is dismissive. She says he can talk to her about things if he wants but he's still pretty quiet.
NED: Look, thanks Vi but, I should really get going. I'll see you later.
Number 32
David and Terese are preparing things in the kitchen. Aaron walks in, saying he still can't get hold of Chloe and Leo. Terese tells him not to worry, as she takes some cupcakes outside.
ARON: Hey, you don't think there's any truth to Hendrix's theory, do you?
DAVID: No...
AARON: I mean they've got history.
DAVID: Leo has zero interest in romance.
AARON: Well I'm not talking about romance.
DAVID: Leo wouldn't do anything to hurt the family...neither would Chloe.
Aaron continues to worry as Hendrix and Mackenzie walk in.
HENDRIX: Still no sign of them?
MACKENZIE: I'm sure they'll be here any minute...
Everyone looks unconvinced.
Harold's Café
Toadie and Yashvi are sitting in Harold's as Jane and Nicolette walk in.
TOADIE: Shouldn't you be at a party in your honour?
NICOLETTE: Just letting these babies dry first...
She lifts up her recently pedicured toes.
Yashvi asks Jane if she had hers done too but she said she doesn't like people touching her feet. She says she had a manicure which she found relaxing though.
TOADIE: Plenty of time for that kind of stuff when you go on maternity leave, hey?
Nicolette says she's been struggling to find anyone to take on the manager's role while she's on maternity leave. Yashvi offers to ask Dipi to help her find someone and after some initial reluctance she agrees.
The Vineyard
Leo walks over to Chloe outside.
LEO: Thirsty?
CHLOE: For beer?! No way josé, I will not betray our grape babies.
LEO: Well I on the other hand have no such qualms.
Chloe looks over at the grapevines.
CHLOE: They look so peaceful, don't they? Soaking up the sun...chilling out. I envy them.
LEO: Well let's get you a wine then.
CHLOE: We can't stay, Aaron's already called me like a thousand times, wondering where we are.
Leo tries to persuade her but she can't be, so he goes to get their stuff so they can leave.
Number 30
Ned arrives to see Amy, assuring her it's not to change her mind about them dating. He hands her a letter.
NED: My resignation.
AMY: Seriously? No...
NED: I think it would be better if we're not working together.
AMY: But you're such a good bartender.
NED: Yeah, so I'll find something else. And there's plenty of other bartenders for the Flamingo.
AMY: Not ones who can make cocktails and speak postmodernism at the same time.
NED: Thanks, but I just feel like I could use some distance.
Amy tries to convince him to change his mind, saying she could roster him on at different times to her.
AMY: Is it really a big deal, I mean what we had was never gonna be anything serious, right?
NED: Right, it was just gonna be a bit of fun. I still think I should move on.
AMY: Ok.
Ned leaves. Amy looks disappointed.
Number 32
Aaron comes in the kitchen, asking where the chicken wings are. David points him to the fridge as he asks what the tubs are that David's just retrieved from the cupboard.
DAVID: 'Feed the baby.' Terese's idea for a game.
AARON: Right...you know Chloe and Leo are officially late now.
Nicolette walks in wearing a hideous dress, but looks delighted with it. Aaron asks how the day spa was and she says it was lovely. Nic wonders where Chloe is and they say that Chloe and Leo haven't returned yet. Nic isn't worried though, believing Chloe will be there as she wouldn't miss something so important.
NICOLETTE: Now, I'm in desperate need of a gin and tonic without the guilt of a gin and tonic.
AARON: Why don't you try tonic?
NICOLETTE: Genius...
Number 30
Toadie and Yashvi arrive home, saying that Dipi went hard looking for maternity cover at Harold's. Yashvi's pleased though, as it might give her a distraction from looking after her.
TOADIE: How did I end up with that job?
YASHVI: Don't lie, you love it.
TOADIE: True, it does have its perks...cause you and me, and the couch, and a game...Ames, you in?
AMY: I can't. I need to pack...I'm going to Cairns. I need to see my children.
TOADIE: What? What about the bar?
AMY: Well, I've got Roxy taking care of those shifts seeing as Ned quit. I don't have any other option...
Yashvi asks what happened and Amy awkwardly says that he quit after she said nothing would happen between them. It's clearly getting to her as she rambles on about how she gave Ned all sorts of options to make things easier.
AMY: You know, I'm gonna be fine. I just need to see my babies. And give this whole thing some space.
Amy exits and Toadie and Yashvi look awkward.
Number 32
Toadie, Hendrix and Mackenzie are in the garden, writing down their guesses for the baby's name.
TERESE: Girls names are harder, there's so many options.
HENRIX: What are you guessing?
MACKENZIE: No peaking...
Aaron sneaks a look at Mackenzie's guess though and implies that she's on the money.
TERESE: Oh you're just bluffing. I bet they haven't even come up with a name and they're doing this game to get inspiration.
In the distance, Leo and Chloe finally arrive home.
NICOLETTE: Hey, you're here!
Nic goes in to hug her girlfriend and asks what took them so long. Chloe makes up some story about a pile up on the freeway because a koala walked on to the road. Hendrix and Mackenzie don't look convinced, nor do Aaron and David. As Leo and Chloe walk off, Aaron comments that Chloe's clearly been drinking.
DAVID: Do you think?
AARON: Yeah. She only ever rambles when she's lying, nervous or drinking and usually it's all three.
Nearby, Hendrix tells Mackenzie he doesn't believe the story.
HENDRIX: She's sweating. Something happened at the winery.
MACKENZIE: Be quiet, they might hear you.
Aaron and David turn around, clearly having heard what Hendrix just said.
Ramsay Street
Hendrix and Mackenzie have just left the party and start to argue. Mackenzie says that Aaron and David should be celebrating the life of their baby but instead they're now worrying about Leo and Chloe, thanks to her and Hendrix.
Number 30
Ned arrives to see Dipi.
NED: Hey, I got your message.
DIPI: Yeah, we heard about your newly unemployed status.
NED: Ah, news travels fast.
YASHVI: Any gigs coming up?
NED: A couple of graffiti commissions, nothing regular. I'll have to have a look I guess.
DIPI: Or you could come on board as the new manager of Harold's while Nicolette's on maternity leave?
Ned seems taken back, saying he doesn't have much experience, but Dipi thinks the fact he managed the Hive will put him in good stead.
NED: Yes...yes, thank you for thinking of me.
DIPI: I didn't. She did...
Dipi points to Yashvi.
YASHVI: Still friends, right?
Ned smiles.
Number 32
Aaron and David find Chloe in the kitchen and ask her what's going on; they've checked and there's been no accident between the winery and Erinsborough. She says she didn't want them to be angry at her and Leo for being late and that they just had a lot of work on. They don't seem convinced and probe her for more info.
DAVID: Chloe, has Leo been acting inappropriately?
CHLOE: What? No! Where is this coming from?...did Hendrix say something?
The boys admit that Hendrix thinks Leo's got an agenda, but Chloe says he's just been a good friend to her recently.
CHLOE: Leo's just been helping me figure out some stuff I've been struggling with.
DAVID: What stuff?
AARON: Chlo, you've got me freaked out now, is this about your Huntington's?
CHLOE: No, seriously, it's nothing you need to worry about. I'm gonna go and find Nic.
AARON: No, you're gonna stay right here and tell us what's going on...now, please.
Chloe looks concerned.
