Hospital
Clive is not at all keen on asking Jane to move in with him, as he likes having his independence but Nicolette warns that Jane will expect some sort of commitment from him "sooner rather than later."
Number 30
Toadie comments on how empty the house is looking after Dipi and Shane have just about packed up their belongings for the move.
Hospital
Clive has sought David out for his take on Chloe and Nicolette getting together. While acknowledging that they do have "a strong connection" and that they "care for each other," David is somewhat sitting on the fence about them actually getting together. He adds that Aaron has reservations but is coming round and Clive interjects to say that Jane is wary.
DAVID: I don't envy Nicolette starting a new relationship and living with someone who disapproves isn't something I'd sign up for.
CLIVE: No, it's not ideal is it?
DAVID: No. They're going to be having a bumpy ride. But I guess you'll be hearing all about that!
Harold's Café (next day)
Nicolette and Chloe are chatting about experts commenting that couples shouldn't work and live together, something Chloe totally disagrees with, when Clive and Jane come into the Café. Jane is definitely in the expert's mindset too and tries to tempt Nicolette into going for a walk, but she can't as she has a handover meeting with Dipi soon.
Clive just about drags Jane away to a separate table and tries to get her to loosen up by pointing out Nicolette and Chloe are allowed to be all over each other as it's a new relationship. Jane definitely thinks otherwise and plans on spending the day at the Café (working on school stuff) to keep an eye on them as "it's for the greater good."
CLIVE: Jane, why don't you move in with me?
She seems very taken aback by his sudden suggestion and his stance is "why not us?" and asks that she sees them living together for a short while as "a trial before the next stage." Jane seeks clarification that its something he "sees for us?" to which Clive nods his head.
The Waterhole
"We're going to have bigger biceps than Aaron by the time we're finished with this," Yashvi remarks to Mackenzie as they work out what is next on the 'to do' list. The newly arrived Ned volunteers his help, to let the girls spend their last day with Dipi and Shane, but they'd rather keep busy "than sit around and wait for them to leave."
Yashvi admits it is scary thinking how far apart she is going to be from her parents, she always thought she'd live nearby. Ned points out that Sydney isn't too far away, plus she can visit at any time and adds that he isn't going anywhere... although from the look Yashvi has on her face, that isn't an appealing thought!
Lassiters Complex
When she interrupts Dipi's meeting with Nicolette and Chloe, Jane's inadvertent big mouth has Nicolette being forced to tell Dipi about her relationship with Chloe. "That's great," Dipi replies and with the meeting now over, the new management duo quickly scarper to let Dipi and Jane spend some final time together.
"Mum strikes again," an angry Nicolette says to Chloe when they are out of earshot, picking up some cups before heading indoors. "It wasn't that bad," Chloe replies trying to diffuse the situation but Nicolette is still peeved at her mum!
Jane begins the chat by apologising to Dipi as she assumed she knew already about them, but Dipi is more interested in knowing quizzing Jane about life post getaway. "Clive has asked me to move in with him," Jane reveals and Dipi is utterly thrilled for her friend... but is forced to calm the squeals down when they spot Sheila approaching. "Was I interrupting?" Sheila asks and is told no, but she then follows it up by asking if they were talking about Clive, to carry on as "that's now how we roll."
JANE: Alright. Clive has asked me to move in with him.
With her nose definitely out of joint, Sheila remarks about it being "so soon." Jane is on a similar wavelength and admits she isn't sure what to do. "That's what friends are for," Dipi says and suggests they talk about it over a coffee.
Ramsay Street
Toadie is a bit bemused as to why Nell has led him outside but it is so that Shane can challenge him to wrestling session before he leaves! He can't run back into the house quick enough to change into his 'Lawman' outfit!
Lassiters Complex
Ned might wish he'd not bothered to see if Dipi had any pastries (for The Hive users) when Sheila asks him how long its acceptable for a dating couple to move in together! "I'm lost," a confused Ned replies and Dipi sends the poor lad inside to get said pastries much to his relief!
Sheila is very peeved at how quickly things have moved between Clive and Jane although Dipi does remind her that it was a mutual decision for her (and Clive) not to move in with each other. "I know," Sheila acknowledges before reminding herself that given its Dipi's last day, they shouldn't be talking about this.
The Waterhole
Clive wants to know if Jane has thought more about his offer and she admits it's the only thing she can think of but is still wary of rushing things.
While Jane goes to pay for the wine Clive ordered, the newly arrived Sheila collars him wanting to know why he wants to live with Jane but didn't want that for them? Clive seems surprised that the news is out already, before going on to say that it's only a temporary thing... although Sheila disputes that once Jane is settled in!
Back with the wine, Jane has overheard that last part and isn't too amused! Ignoring that, Sheila asks Clive what about him not wanting to give up his independence. It's his turn to make his displeasure know and at this point, Sheila knows she isn't going to win her case and tactfully withdraws and leaves them to it.
When they are alone, Jane wants clarification on the independence remark (he confirmed he said it) and is his thinking different now that they are together. "I only suggested it was a trial," he clarifies and she knows that could change in the long term, so is happy to leave things as they currently are. "Now's a good a time as any," he says, which only leads Jane into asking "what's going on" and why all of a sudden he's "pushing for this?" Coming clean, he admits to partially asking for Nicolette's sake. "What does she have to do with this?" a confused Jane asks him.
Lassiters Complex
"I'm really happy for you both," Dipi says to Nicolette and Chloe and in return, Chloe wishes her all the best for the new start and that she doesn't hold a grudge. "You don't now how much that means to me," a teary Dipi replies back to Chloe (Nicolette has now gone inside the Café).
CHLOE: Sometimes you have to go through a dark place to get to a brighter one.
The Hive
When Yashvi drops by unexpectedly(looking for her dad's sketchbook), Ned takes the opportunity to show her something he has found online - a 1-bedroomed flat for them. She looks rather shocked, so he explains that he thought the timing was right given things are changing for her at home. Yashvi looks more than relieved to curtail the chat when her mum calls wanting her home ASAP!
Ramsay Street
"And fight," Nell yells and seconds later it's the Lawman v the Bushranger as the brothers begin grappling with each other on the lawn. "Not bad brother," Toadie comments after winning said bout and the egg timer prize.
They spot some random guy walking up the street, wearing a pair of sunglasses and dressed in a long red cape, and wonder if this is a challenge for the winner... but no, is someone looking for #26!
Number 26 (garden)
Yashvi is telling Mackenzie about Ned's suggestion when Dipi interrupts the chat to ask if she can answer the front door (we hear the doorbell ring). Moments later Yashvi is back and it turns out the guy we saw is the entertainment - Dipi has organised a Bollywood dance class especially for Sheila.
"That's an unusual outfit," Dipi remarks after seeing the guy walk into the back garden. "Who's ready for the show?" he asks and seconds later the only thing he is now wearing are the tattoos on his body!!!
SHEILA: There's nothing Bollywood about that!
Oops looks like there has been a mix-up with the agency... which doesn't seem to bother the ladies at all once Mr Hollywood begins his version of entertainment!!!
Harold's Café
Jane storms into the Café and has a go at Nicolette for emotionally blackmailing Clive and thinking she could get away with it.
NICOLETTE: Blackmail is a strong term!
JANE: Well how do you think I feel? I mean being made to look like a fool, telling all of my friends that Clive wants us to live together, when all the while it was just an elaborate pluff by my daughter in order to get rid of me!
NICOLETTE: You're really gunning for that Oscar mum!
JANE: This is no time for facetiousness!
NICOLETTE: Well stop being so dramatic! I'm sorry that this has happened, but honestly, it's your fault!
Jane isn't at all impressed at her daughter (who tries to escape to the kitchen) but thought the open hatch is told not to "turn this back onto me!" Nicolette pleads with her mum that she wouldn't be so desperate if only she'd let them breathe! Jane takes umbrage at that given "you two haven't left each other's sights since I've been back!" "You need to stay out of my life and stop interfering," Nicolette now demands of her mum, which Jane is ready to counter with until Chloe calls "time out!"
The Hive/Number 32
David calls Ned to ask if Brent left any art supplies at The Hive. Ned loses track of thought when he starts to look and instead asks David when he thought the time was right to move in with Aaron. "Where did that come from?" David asks so Ned explains about him asking Yashvi and that she "practically ran off screaming." While acknowledging that "every couple is different," David replies that they made the call when they "both felt the relationship could be more." Ned is at that stage and admits he thought she was too. David think it's probably just the timing that is wrong given her parents leave today, something Ned is forced to agree with before getting back on topic and replying that Brent hasn't left any supplies.
In her haste to leave, Yashvi has inadvertently left her phone at The Hive and we see that Mishti is calling for her. Ned answers the phone and explains Yashvi isn't there to Mishti but will pass on that she has called once he see her. There is obviously another message to be passed on too... and not a nice one either judging from the look on Ned's face!
Harold's Café
Chloe has roped Clive in to provide a peace summit for mother and daughter. Both admit, albeit with Jane by biting her tongue, how they make things better between each other. Chloe knows what will help - Jane moving into #24 as agreed where she will make sure Nicolette is on board [with her mum moving in] if Jane can be accepting of their relationship. Deal done!
Number 26 (garden)
The ladies are chatting about Mr Hollywood's show when Ned drops by wanting a word with Yashvi. "I'm kinda busy," she explains and he holds up her phone and tells her about talking to Mishti - that has Yashvi leaving her seat to go over and talk to him privately.
NED: You going to Sydney?!
When Yashvi doesn't reply, Ned about turns and walks out of the backyard.
