Aaron is taken aback by Chloe's outburst; and Chloe looks a little taken aback herself. Nicolette encourages her to come outside with her for some air, leaving Aaron and David to talk.
AARON: So, is this true - that you hate the name Fay?
DAVID: Of course I don't hate your mum's name. And I love the sentiment behind the idea.
AARON: But?
DAVID: I don't know yet if it's the right name for our baby.
AARON: Okay. And Nic feels the same way?
DAVID: Yeah.
AARON: I don't know why you didn't say something to me. I thought we were meant to be partners in everything.
DAVID: Because I was trying to protect your feelings.
AARON: What, by lying to me?
DAVID: I wasn't lying. I was waiting for the right moment, because I knew it was a sensitive issue.
AARON: Yeah. You're not wrong about that, judging by Chloe's reaction.
In the garden, Nicolette encourages Chloe to breathe.
CHLOE: Why am I such a basket case?
NICOLETTE: Because you're grieving. You're allowed a few meltdowns.
CHLOE: I threw you and David under the bus about the name thing. I was awful to Aaron...
NICOLETTE: You have been bottling things up, and it just triggered a minor explosion.
CHLOE: I should apologise.
NICOLETTE: There's time for that. You've got to give yourself permission to be sad, Chlo. You won't feel this way forever, I promise.
Lassiter's Complex
Paul, Terese, Ned and Harlow are having coffee outside the hotel. Paul is furious that Terese let Dipi sign the new lease to Harold's after the deadline has passed.
TERESE: Excuse me? That was *your* deadline, and I overruled it! And it's a good thing I did, because Harold's is an institution, and we don't want to have to lose it.
But Paul continues to whinge about not knowing what's going on in his own business, yadda yadda. Terese reminds him they're a team, and she's the manager; so Paul shifts his attention to Ned, saying he wants to take a closer look at how business is going at the Hive over the next few weeks; he's annoyed that bookings haven't bounced back since the 'Scarlett fiasco'.
Harlow defends Ned, saying that's hardly his fault. But Paul announces he's spending the day with Ned at the Hive to whether he's managing the place properly.
TERESE: That'll be fun (!)
Harlow tells everyone to keep an eye out for a package she's expecting in the next few days, from her aunt Harriet in England. It's a gift which has something to do with the anniversary of the death of Prue, Harlow's mum. The package is expected to arrive before Harlow leaves for her London trip. Paul asks if Harlow's sure she wants to go alone; he could fly out with her.
HARLOW: Thanks, but I need to do this by myself.
Harlow gets up to go and meet Brent, saying he's been worried about Emmett and hasn't been himself lately.
PAUL: Huh. Being someone else might be an improvement.
HARLOW: Snide comments really aren't a good look on you.

Chloe and Nicolette are back inside. Chloe admits to Aaron that what got to her about calling the baby Fay was the thought of hearing their mum's name all the time, so soon after losing her. Aaron admits he should've thought about that.
CHLOE: I still shouldn't have snapped at you like that. That was terrible. I know you were only trying to honour Mum. I'm sorry.
AARON: I'm sorry, too.
They laugh and touch fingers.
DAVID: Maybe if the baby is a girl, we could consider Fay as a middle name.
CHLOE: That would be really nice.
NICOLETTE: Yeah, I like that.
AARON: Yeah, it's a really good call, Boo.
Aaron also admits he understands why David didn't raise his reservations about the name, and that he overreacted. Chloe says it's a family trait, and that it's lucky they have David and Nicolette respectively to calm them down. Aaron looks worried at this mention of Nic by Chloe.
At this point, Aaron gets a phone call from Leila at the fostering agency. Everyone is on tenterhooks. Once he's finished the call...
AARON: We've been approved to have Emmett full-time.
David is delighted, and gets up to hug an equally delighted Aaron.
AARON: She said because we can offer stability, and he doesn't have to go overseas, we are his best option.
NICOLETTE: Well of course you are!
CHLOE: I'm so happy for you guys.
Harold's Café
Brent looks worried as he receives a text from Holden, asking him to keep the stolen bike for a few more days. Yashvi is at the counter in her police uniform, which makes him even more tense. Harlow comes in and asks if Brent's okay. He claims he's just nervous about the whole Emmett situation, as a decision on his fostering is imminent.
They go to order coffee. Yashvi has been joined by Ned, and she's telling him about a guy at the police station who was screaming about his stolen bike. She mentions it's a blue dirt bike, and Brent looks worried.
YASHVI: I know it sucks to have anything stolen, but he's acting like it's his firstborn.
Yashvi asks Brent to tell David and Aaron that the police are re-interviewing the guy they picked up, that they think broke into their house. Apparently he's still denying it. Brent gets a text from David asking him to come home. He and Harlow leave to find out what's been decided about Emmett. Ned moans to Yashvi about how Paul will be breathing down his neck at the Hive today.
Erinsborough Hive
Paul is looking at the Hive computer, while Ned stands watching.
PAUL: Hopeless!
Kyle turns up to try and tempt Ned with the prospect of a pub lunch.
NED: Fat chance with this guy cracking the whip today.
Paul asks Ned what's being kept in the storage space leased by Silver Eye Imports. Ned says he checks everything when it comes in, and the guy is hardly ever here. But Paul wants Ned to go and check the space to make sure there's nothing flammable inside. Ned goes to comply, and is concerned to find the blue dirt bike inside.
NED: Where the hell did this come from?!

Brent and Harlow arrive, and Aaron and David excitedly tell them the good news about Emmett being approved to live with them full-time. They're both thrilled. David asks if they're sticking around, as they're about to call Emmett. Harlow says yes, but Brent says he wants to go to the Hive and see if Ned needs a hand (but in reality, we assume, to check on the stolen bike).
At this point, Emmett himself turns up. Brent gives him a hug.
EMMETT: When I heard the news, I got on the first bus. Wanted to celebrate before I officially move in tomorrow!
Harlow tells Brent he can't go to the Hive now Emmett's here, and he hesitantly agrees.
DAVID: You know what this calls for? Mac and cheese!
David and Aaron do a little choreographed superhero-style routine as he says the words.
AARON: Lame, I know. His idea, right?
Emmett smiles at the dorkiness. David suggests to Aaron that they invite Nicolette and Chloe round for dinner, but conscious of what happened earlier, Aaron quietly suggests they keep this between them for now. Emmett hears this, and worries it's something to do with him.
Erinsborough Hive
Yashvi has come to investigate the bike, and confirms it matches the description of the one that's been reported stolen. Paul is furious. Yashvi asks Ned if he knows of anyone who's had access to the storage space. He tells her it's leased by Silver Eye Imports, but they're never here - the room is otherwise always locked.
Paul points out that with the keys behind the desk, anyone could take them and gain access while it wasn't supervised. Ned says it's pretty much always supervised; even if he's in the bathroom, 'one of my regulars' is here - such as Kyle, Harlow or Brent.
PAUL: What does this mean for the business?
YASHVI: We're going to have to close the space for a few hours while we do a proper search.
PAUL (to Ned): Great (!) Half a day's income down the gurgler because of your sloppy management.
No 32
David, Aaron, Brent and Emmett are hanging out. Harlow is on the phone to Ned, and once she's finished, she tells everyone about the stolen bike that's been found at the Hive. Brent's keen to head down there again, ostensibly to help Ned, but Harlow says Paul will have it under control and they're supposed to be celebrating Emmett moving in. Emmett says they can catch up later.
Brent and Harlow leave, and David and Aaron do the dorky 'mac and cheese' routine again, much to Emmett's amusement. Chloe and Nicolette come in to offer their congratulations, saying they saw Emmett in the street before.
EMMETT: Sorry you can't move back in.
NICOLETTE: Hey, it's cool. I'm happy at Chloe's for now.
CHLOE: Not just for now, for as long as you like!
Chloe puts her arms around Nic, and Aaron again looks concerned. Emmett goes to help Chloe get some drinks, and Nicolette tells David and Aaron it's probably best she's living at Chloe's currently, as she 'needs a friend'.
DAVID: You clearly have a way of calming her. Seems like you're exactly what she needs right now.
But Aaron looks unconvinced! As Nicolette heads to the kitchen, David asks him what's wrong. Aaron whispers that he'll explain later. Again, Emmett overhears this and seems worried that it might be about him.
Erinsborough Hive
Paul, Terese, Ned, Harlow and Brent are discussing the stolen bike, which the police have now taken away - but Paul explains they're coming back to dust for fingerprints. Brent says he'll call round to cancel any space bookings they have this afternoon.
NED: Thanks for your help, mate.
PAUL: Too little, too late, if you ask me. Well, the bike probably got stashed on his watch, didn't it?
HARLOW: Grandad, that's not true.
PAUL: No, no, you're right. He probably stole the bike himself - decided to hide it here until he could sell it.
TERESE: Oh, just leave the boy alone. He's only trying to help us.
But Paul keeps going on, saying Brent's had plenty of opportunity and spends a lot of time here. But an angry Harlow tells him to stop throwing accusations around without any evidence.
HARLOW: Brent has nothing to do with this!
PAUL: Alright, fine, you're probably right. But whoever stashed the bike, there is one person who is definitely accountable.
He turns to Ned, and tells him to consider this an official warning - one more toe out of line, and he's out. Brent looks guilty. Terese defends Ned, saying Paul can't fire him; the Hive wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for him.
PAUL: Terese, this is not like Harold's. I have complete ownership of this place, so the decision is mine. (To Ned) And don't you dare test me, because you are on very, very thin ice.
Brent looks worried.

Aaron and David are in the kitchen, when a worried-looking Emmett comes in.
EMMETT: If you've changed your mind, you can tell me.
DAVID: Sorry?
EMMETT: I can tell you've been stressed since I turned up.
AARON: No, not at all, mate! We're ecstatic to have you here.
DAVID: What makes you think otherwise?
EMMETT: I saw you whispering, and just the way you've been looking at me. Nicolette got kicked out because of me. I'm just going to go to New Zealand with Auntie Linda.
DAVID: That's the last thing we want.
AARON: Hey, Emm, I'm telling you now, mate - none of this tension is because of you, alright? Hey, we couldn't be happier to have you as part of our family.
EMMETT: Then, why have you been acting so weird?
AARON: Look, umm... Chloe and I have been a bit out of sorts since my mum passed. That's all. It's been a lot to deal with.
Emmett looks relieved at this reassurance.
DAVID: Please, don't think we don't want you here.
Emmett heads out to see Brent. Aaron tells David he feels awful that Emmett got the impression he wasn't wanted. David tells him it was a misunderstanding; he shouldn't punish himself. Aaron admits the reason he's tense is because of Chloe admitting she has feelings for Nicolette. David tells Aaron he can't control that.
AARON: It's not fair on Nicolette either.
DAVID: She's exactly what Chloe needs right now, and she seems happy to be there for her.
AARON: Yeah, but she's being kept in the dark. It feels wrong. Did you hear what Chloe said earlier? She referred to you and I, and her and Nic, as if we were both couples (...) I'm worried Chloe's gonna get hurt in all of this. This whole situation is doing my head in.
DAVID: Maybe take a step back, and let them sort it out.
AARON: No, because now it's affecting us - and Emmett as well. I'm sick of all the tension and secrets.
Lassiter's Complex
Yashvi is fiddling with her phone outside the pub, when a worried Harlow turns up and asks to join her. Harlow admits that Paul thinks Brent is involved with the stolen bike.
YASHVI: Oh, Paul fancies himself a detective, now, does he?
HARLOW: Do the police think it's a possibility too? I mean, is Brent a suspect?
YASHVI: You know I can't talk about it. But officially, no-one's been ruled out yet. Not even *my* boyfriend. Is there something I should know?
HARLOW: No. It's all just so exhausting.
YASHVI: Yeah, welcome to the world of dating a reformed bad guy.
HARLOW: I really don't want to doubt him, but...
YASHVI: But he has stuffed up before, and the whole world is telling you it's only a matter of time before he slips up again.
HARLOW: Yeah. Basically. I think I'm just questioning my own instincts, you know? He was being really weird earlier. I thought it was just something to do with Emmett, but... now I'm not so sure.
YASHVI: Well, do you really like him?
HARLOW: Yeah. I really do.
YASHVI: Then, you have faith in him.
HARLOW: Is that how you and Ned make it work?
YASHVI: Well, me and Ned are a little bit different to you two. I'm technically a reformed bad girl myself! (...) The point is, if you two have something real, then you'll make it work.
HARLOW: Even if it feels like the whole world is against us?
YASHVI: Who cares what everyone else thinks? If you believe in Brent, then nothing else matters.

Nicolette is on the couch when Aaron comes in, wanting to talk to her.
AARON: This might not be my place to say, but I really don't think you should be kept in the dark any longer.
NICOLETTE: Sounds ominous.
AARON: Yeah, umm... Look, Nic, you've been amazing to Chloe, right, just the way you've supported her. I think she'd actually be lost without you.
NICOLETTE: But...?
AARON: Yeah, look, the thing is - she's told me she's developed feelings for you.
NICOLETTE: Oh, Aaron! You've completely got your wires crossed!
AARON: No, Nic, I don't think so. I know you don't feel the same way about her anymore. I'm just saying you need to be careful, right? Like, if you're too friendly with her - if you're too flirty - she's going to get false hopes. And I don't want to see her get hurt. And I know you don't want that either.
NICOLETTE: Chloe and I have had our misunderstandings, but we have always been able to work through them. And there is nothing romantic between us, from either side.
AARON: Alright, look, if you don't want to believe it, that's fine. There's nothing I can do to change your mind. But that's the truth, Nic.
Nic remains deeply sceptical, and Aaron leaves. But as we close in on Nic, it's clear she's beginning to wonder whether it could actually be true.
No 32
In the garden, Brent is having a furtive phone conversation.
BRENT: I'm sorry, alright? It's not my fault they found the bike. I... Holden... Holden, relax, alright? I'm gonna figure this out.
Just as Holden seemingly hangs up on Brent, Emmett appears behind him. Knowing something's wrong, Emmett demands to know who Holden is. But before Brent can reply, Harlow turns up. She apologises on Paul's behalf, saying that once he has it in for someone, he doesn't tend to hold back. Emmett wants to know why Paul has it in for Brent. Brent assures him Paul's just being his grumpy self.
EMMETT: Did something happen?
HARLOW: He just accused Brent of something. But we all know he didn't do it. Maybe it's best if you stay away from him while I'm in London, though?
Brent awkwardly agrees. He gets a text from Holden, saying, 'You owe me.'
No 24
Chloe's about to go for a swim, and asks Nicolette if she wants to join her before work. But Nicolette asks her to sit down, as she needs to ask her something.
NICOLETTE: Do you have feelings for me?
CHLOE: Why would you ask me that?
NICOLETTE: That's not an answer.
CHLOE: I'm confused. Is this because of what happened the other night?
NICOLETTE: You mean how you came onto me?
CHLOE: We talked about that and put it behind us.
NICOLETTE: Yeah, you said it was because of the grief. And yet, you're still not answering the question.
CHLOE: I just don't get where this is coming from.
NICOLETTE: Aaron told me. Don't be mad at him; he's just trying to help. But after everything we've been through, I really need to know the truth, because now that it's out there, it's just... it's gonna be in my mind, and...
CHLOE: I never wanted to put you in an uncomfortable position. Aaron shouldn't have said anything... It's true. It's not the grief. When I look at you, when we're together... there's so much more. I want more. I want you.
Nicolette looks like she can't believe her ears.
