- Fay tells Aaron she's dying. Aaron says they have a couple of months, but Fay says they don't.
- Fay, Aaron and Chloe watch a home video of the first time they watched ET as a family. Fay says this is wonderful.
- Fay passes away.
- Aaron blames David for saying the chocolate truffles were okay. He says if it wasn't for David then his mum might still be alive.
- Chloe tells Nicolette she can't be alone tonight, and asks for her to stay with her in her bed.
Nicolette tells Chloe that she can't, sleeping together won't make what Chloe's going through any easier. Chloe says she's an idiot for throwing herself at Nicolette the night her mum dies. Chloe decides to go to bed, and tells Nicolette she needs to be alone.
Paul and Terese return home after visiting David. They tell Harlow and Brent that Aaron's in a bad way and they're having a tough time. Paul suggests Brent should be over there making himself useful. Brent is unsure what he could do, Paul tells him he could think of something. Terese checks if Harlow is okay or if it's bringing up bad memories about her mum. Harlow thinks it's selfish of her to be thinking of herself right now. She admits she feels jealous that Aaron and Chloe got to say goodbye to their mum, she never got the chance with hers. Harlow asks if that's awful to think that but Paul says it isn't, it's human. Brent looks concerned and tells Harlow she should have said something to him - she says she was going to. Paul tells Brent to go home before David starts worrying where he is.
Brent has made breakfast for David and Aaron. David says that's really nice, while Aaron just sits on the sofa. Paul and Terese come by and ask if there's anything they can help with, any errands? David says they need to sort out getting Fay's body to Adelaide. Aaron tells David off for saying that, she's still his mum, even if she's gone. Aaron walks out. Paul and Terese ask David again to let them know if he needs anything.
Toadie tells Chloe that he spoke to Mark this morning. Mark's upset and frustrated about how things played out, but Toadie says they'll work through it. Mark does want to get Fay onto a flight to Adelaide a.s.a.p. Toadie asks Chloe if she wants him to deal with it. Aaron and David come by with some of Fay's things. Chloe tells them about Toadie's offer to organise Fay and their flights to Adelaide. Aaron says that's fine, as long as he doesn't have to deal with Mark right now. Aaron coldly asks David if they're done here, and the two leave.
Brent stops by to see Harlow. Paul warns Brent this is a sensitive time for Harlow, but Brent has an idea to distract her. When Harlow arrives, Brent suggests they go to the urban beach and check out the Flamingo Bar. Paul thinks taking Harlow to their bar is not a healthy coping strategy, but Harlow likes the idea to get out. She wants to see Aaron first. Harlow and Brent leave. Paul vents at Terese about Brent taking Harlow on 'some sort of bender.' Terese thinks that's an exaggeration, but Paul thinks it's not the support that Harlow needs right now.
Chloe sits in her driveway, smelling her mum's scarf. Sheila and Kyle bring a casserole around for her and Aaron. Chloe says that's lovely, her mum would appreciate them looking out for them. They can't believe she's gone. Kyle says she got to say goodbye, that's something. He's going to bring a casserole around to Aaron, but says if she needs anything any time of day, she should call him. Kyle heads across the road, while Sheila sits down with Chloe and admires Fay's scarf. Chloe bought it for her in Oslo, Fay said it was her favourite thing anyone has ever bought for her. Sheila says she'd be thrilled that it's made it's way to Chloe, and encourages Chloe to put it on. Chloe won't, she says it's still Fay's.
Nicolette comes around and offers to get a coffee with Chloe. Sheila leaves them alone. Nicolette tells Chloe she wants to talk, but Chloe tells Nicolette she should pack up her stuff. Her mum's gone so there's no need for her to stay here now.
The Flamingo Bar - Exterior
Brent and Harlow admire the new outdoor bar and urban beach beside Lassiters Lake. They think Paul and Terese have done a good job. Brent says he got money from Ned for helping out with the mural, so today he's going to get Harlow whatever she wants. Harlow isn't sure, but Brent talks her around and they agree to try a 'sea breeze', though neither know what it is. Harlow sits on a deck chair, as Brent goes to get the drinks.
David tells Paul and Terese that Aaron is blaming him for Fay's death. David says Aaron and his mum thought they had months left together, they even thought she might get to meet the baby. He's just trying to make sense of her sudden decline. Paul doesn't think it's fair for him to blame David. David just hopes he forgives everyone else involved in the tasting. He says Toadie offered to organise getting Fay back to Adelaide and Aaron couldn't even thank him. Terese asks if Mark and Tyler have started organising the funeral. David guesses Mark will let them know. They'll all fly over there, except for Brent who can't miss school. David guesses Nicolette might move back in, but then again she may want to come to the funeral too. Paul starts ranting about Nicolette, but hopes she'll be able to supervise Brent and Harlow. David tells Paul that Brent and Harlow are both adults, and what they get up to is literally the last thing on his or Aaron's minds right now.
The Flamingo Bar - Exterior
In a montage, Brent and Harlow drink at the bar, then have a game of cricket, throw frisbees around and then get some ice cream.
Chloe is frantically looking for her long black dress for the funeral. Nicolette says she already laid it out on Chloe's bed. Toadie has apparently got a flight for Fay for this afternoon, and he's looking for tickets for everyone else. Nicolette offers to help, Chloe says she's done enough. Nicolette turns around disheartened, and Chloe apologises. She didn't mean to kick her out. Nicolette wants them to talk about what happened last night.
CHLOE: I can't. I know I owe you an explanation and I'm really really sorry if I've ruined everything between us but I'm so tired.
NICOLETTE: You don't owe me anything, that's what I was trying to say that you don't need to be embarassed around me because as far as I'm concerned, we're good.
CHLOE: We are?
NICOLETTE: Yes! I was trying to tell you that last night but you were freaking out. You just lost your mum. Things are going to be messed up for a while and that's okay. I'm going to be here for you through all of it.
Chloe starts crying. She thanks Nicolette. Nicolette offers to help Chloe get packed for Adelaide.
The Flamingo Bar
Inside the bar, Harlow tells Brent she's had fun, and it's exactly what her mum would've wanted. She loved to let her hair down, it cleansed her heart energy and rejuvenated her Qi. Brent says she sounds wild. Harlow says she was, in the best way. She doesn't want to wallow, she just wants to remember the good times. Brent says she sounds different to his mum. He admits that sometimes he worries he may lose his mum too. Harlow thanks him for today. They're about to kiss, when Brent gets a call from someone called Holden. Brent claims it's a wrong number. He looks at the missed call and looks worried.
Number 32 Back Yard
Kyle, David and Aaron sit by the pool, Kyle offers to clean it and the yard while they're away. Toadie approaches and tells them he got them three tickets on Fay's flight. Toadie hasn't had a chance to let Mark know they're coming today yet, Aaron irately says not to, he'll call Mark when they get there. David thanks Toadie for his help. Kyle and Toadie leave them.
DAVID: Are you okay?
AARON: What sort of a question is that?
DAVID: I get that you're angry but you can't take it out on our friends.
AARON: No, I'm not!
DAVID: Are you sure? Toadie's doing us a huge favour, he doesn't have to be doing all these arrangements.
AARON: Well you know what, maybe if he wasn't so big on arrangements, mum would still be alive.
DAVID: Fay was living with a debilitating degenerative disease. She wanted to spend the last of her time living, not wrapped up in cotton wool. It would have been great to have more time with her. It's incredibly unfair and I get that you're angry at the universe, but getting angry at our friends is just going to make you feel worse in the long run.
David stands up and leaves Aaron alone by the pool to think.
Nicolette tells David she's going to move back in, so she can look after Brent while they're gone. David says she's more than welcome at the funeral. Nicolette has already said her goodbye to Fay, and she thinks they need to mourn her as a family. David says she's family too. He suggests Chloe might like the company when she gets back. Nicolette thinks Chloe would like all the parents to stay together, that way she and the baby can have quality time with Brent. Brent arrives and is surprised to hear Nicolette is moving back in. David tells Brent that they're going to Adelaide for a few days. He also warns them that they may get some grief from Paul about Harlow spending time here while they're gone. Nicolette is sure they can handle him.
Harlow tells Paul and Terese that the Flamingo Bar is amazing, and they should be really proud of themselves. Brent comes over to visit and invites Harlow around to watch a movie tonight. Paul asks where Nicolette will be, Brent says he doesn't know. Work maybe? Paul moans about Nicolette getting put in charge and deserting him on night one. Terese invites them to watch a movie here, but Harlow doesn't want to put up with Paul griping, she'd rather be in a peaceful house where no one is having a go at each other.
Aaron apologises for how he spoke to David last night, and being awful to him and Toadie. He feels awful.
AARON: I know it's not your fault. I knew mum was dying, but I just wanted there to be a mistake. I wanted her to meet our child, you know.
DAVID: I wish that could've happened.
AARON: I just wanted someone to blame, something that we could actually fix, so when it's Chloe's turn...
David hugs Aaron. Sheila pulls up the car beside them, while Chloe approaches. David thanks Sheila for giving them a lift and starts to load the car. Nicolette comes out of the house to see them off. Chloe looks over to her, and then talks to Aaron. Neither of them are okay, or ready to do this. Aaron says they have to do it for mum, and for Mark and Tyler. Chloe asks if they'll ever forgive them. Aaron says they'll know they tried their best. As they all get into the car, Chloe waves to Nicolette and the car drives off.
Brent helps Nicolette pack up her things. Brent asks if she has any plans over the next few days. Nicolette says if he cleans up after himself and gets himself to school then she won't need to check up on him. Brent says Harlow is coming around tonight. Nicolette guesses that Paul won't like that, so she's obviously down for it. Nicolette heads out, and asks Brent to lock up please. Brent gets a text from Holden saying 'You can't hide forever.' Brent looks worried.
Nicolette comes in through the back door and hears someone rummaging around through the house. Nicolette hides in the laundry area, looking worried, while we see someone looking through drawers and throwing out papers onto the ground. Nicolette looks terrified.
