Nicolette denies knowing what Fay wanted to come see Toadie about, she just transported her to their meeting. Toadie doesn't believe Nicolette and want to know why she hasn't told the family. Instead of replying, Nicolette asks him the question back - since he is so concerned, he can be the one to break client confidentiality!

NICOLETTE: It will be your reputation on the line, not mine!

The Waterhole
Hendrix isn't amused at being snubbed by Harlow when she enters the bar and (ignoring Hendrix) goes straight to the table Brent is sitting at. He is busy working away on his blanket project but needs to take tomorrow off as he's to do some work for Ned at the Uni campus while he is on holiday. Harlow is hoping to getting the tutoring sessions going, starting with his upcoming essay, and is pleased to see he's already working on it.

Number 32
Before Nicolette takes Fay home (she's been chatting with Jane) she feels they need to chat about the visit to see Toadie. Fay confirms Nicolette's suspicion that she is indeed in her will and explains why - she is carrying her grandchild, and thus is "part of the family" and is keeping it quiet [from the family] because "they don't like thinking about me dying." Despite Nicolette saying she doesn't want anything and the news "won't go down very well," Fay is insistent that it is her decision!

The Waterhole
Acknowledging that he broke client confidentiality, Toadie has told Chloe and Aaron about Fay's visit. Chloe is sure that her mum is of sound mind (Toadie had wondered) and asks if Nicolette is taking advantage of her mum. "She swears that she's not," Toadie replies but isn't convinced given her history. Aaron throws another suggestion into the ring - Fay has mis-read the tension between Chloe and Nicolette's as attraction.

CHLOE: Mum's shipping us?!

"She likes Nic and wants to see you happy," is Aaron's reply to his very confused sister and admits he kept quiet, until now, because it wasn't causing any harm. "Sorry for stirring the pot," Toadie says but Chloe is glad he told them and the pair plan to talk to Fay to find out why she really changed her will.

Eden Hills Uni (next day)
Its day 1 and Mackenzie is already moaning about her Uni timetable (big gaps between classes) so Harlow suggests helping Brent when they run into him. Mackenzie passes on that opportunity, and as the pair split up, she runs into Richie. After spotting a law textbook in his hands, she isn't amused to find out that they will be in the same class together (public law - an elective for him, compulsory for her).

Number 24
Like Chloe, Nicolette is very much surprised to hear that Fay they "are into each other." Chloe had guessed why Fay wanted Nicolette in her will, but feels that they need to chat with Fay, so she has a clear picture, before decisions are made.

CHLOE: I think we need to be clear about us.

Chloe does think that Fay gets an edited version though, so not to upset her mum.

Harold's café
Mackenzie comes into the café wanting to tell Dipi about what happened at Uni but gets the brush off as she needs to go into the kitchen to prepare an order. Instead, she finds herself telling Hendrix (who is back from court where he received a fine) about what happened instead. He too is bemused at what his friend has done and after she asks if Richie is messing with her, admits he has "no idea where his head is at," as he hasn't spoken to him after their split.

MACKENZIE: And I finally got to a place where I could move past it, but as soon as I saw him, all these old feelings just came rushing back.
HENDRIX: That sucks. I'm sorry.

Number 32
Jane, David and Aaron are trying to figure out what next to do from Fay's bucket list when Toadie drops round. Turns out he's gone to the wrong house as he is after Nicolette. Jane is aware of why he wants to chat with her daughter (Aaron filled her in) and knows that he is simply doing his job by looking after Fay. Toadie is beating himself up for breaking client confidentiality, but Aaron reassures him that both Chloe and he are fine with what has happened.

Eden Hills Uni
Shane is back at Uni too and passes on some tips to Harlow about how to get around the campus when they briefly run into each other.

Given it has been chucking it down with rain all day, Brent is finishing earlier than planned, so asks Harlow if they can move their tutoring session forward. She explains that they might need to rain check their session as she's just received a text from Mackenzie wanting to meet ASAP. Brent is fine with having to move their session and tells her about Mackenzie meeting a guy earlier. From the description he gives, Harlow knows it was Richie that Mackenzie met and why she wants to talk to her. "We can study any time," Brent replies and adds too that he hopes Mackenzie is fine.

Number 24
As they sit on the sofa beside their mum, Fay isn't amused to hear that her plan to change her will is out. Initially Fay is blaming Nicolette, but Aaron quickly corrects his mum and explains it was Toadie "because he was worried about you" as he didn't think she'd "all the information."

CHLOE: It's a sweet gesture mum, but if you're adding Nicolette to your will because you think we're going to end up together.
FAY: (interrupting) You might! You make a wonderful couple.
CHLOE: No. I can guarantee you that will never happen.

The camera cuts to Nicolette here and she looks devastated to hear what Chloe has just said!

Fay explains that Nicolette will still become part of the family and so would like her to inherit something.

CHLOE: She doesn't want to be included.
FAY: Well it's what I want!

Aaron subtly tries to say, "it's not a great idea," so a confused Fay asks for a good reason why that is the case. Realising that things have come to an impasse; it is Nicolette who decides to now speak.

NICOLETTE: I can give you one... several actually.

Chloe tries to stop her, but Nicolette feels this is the only way that Fay will understand.

NICOLETTE: This is really hard to tell you Fay but I've done some pretty awful things.

The Waterhole
When they meet up in the pub, Richie admits he was surprised to hear from Hendrix, as it's been a wee while. Once the pleasantries out of the way, Hendrix manages to steer the conversation onto Richie doing the same course as Mackenzie. "I was hoping it wouldn't be that obvious," Richie admits and explains why he signed up to that course - because he misses her. He does acknowledge that they won't be getting back together again but does want to get their friendship back again.

RICHIE: If she's open to it, she'll find a way to let me know.
HENDRIX: And if she's not, you got to let it go.

Number 24
"Now you know," Nicolette finishes with after having told all to Fay while we were at the pub with the boys! "You made some big mistakes and you're paying a heavy price," is Fay's take on it and adds that it was "brave" of Nicolette to tell her. Despite whatever was said, in Fay's mind "it changes nothing" as she plans on keeping Nicolette in her will. "Please don't," Nicolette immediately replies and explains that she doesn't need the money as David and Aaron will be the primary carers of the baby.

NICOLETTE: It would make me feel really uncomfortable taking it from you.
FAY: If you're that opposed to it, then I won't do it.
NICOLETTE: Thank you.

(Later)

While initially Aaron wanted to take his mum outside for some fresh air after the chat, instead she's getting to work on another of her bucket list items - tasting some of Gary's desserts again. So, with the aid of Toadie getting the recipe out of Kyle (his way of saying sorry for WillGate) and Hendrix (making them following Gary's recipe) there are some truffles for Fay to eat. Sadly of course, Fay is only able to smell them but she is salivating at doing that.

In the kitchen, we hear that Nicolette told Fay her whole "rap sheet" and Chloe thinks it's best it is "all out in the open." Before Nicolette heads home, Toadie goes over and apologises "for thinking the worst." "It's all good," Nicolette replies and Toadie returns to drool over the truffles.

While the boys are digging into the truffles, Fay pleads with Chloe to be able to taste one, asking that a bit of one is put on her tongue. "I don't think that's a good idea," Chloe says to her mum but following another plea by Fay, she relents to let her mum taste one.

Lassiters Complex
Mackenzie is debriefing Dipi and Shane about her first day at Uni - she's already having to cut back on the number of clubs she is a member of to ensure she copes with the work. Dipi asks Shane about his first day and he tells her about being asked to take on a leadership role for a project... but he turned the invitation down.

On spotting Harlow, Mackenzie leaves them to go chat with her friend. She confirms that it was Richie she met at Uni and that he will be in one of her Uni classes, however after talking it over with Hendrix, she's okay about it now.

Number 24
Thankfully David has been saved a truffle or two when he arrives at the house. Fay tells David when he joins her on the sofa that she'd a wonderful time but admits to having a bit of a "tickle in my throat" when he asks. With a serious look on his face, he asks if she tasted any of the chocolate? "I asked Chloe to put a tiny bit on my tongue," she replies with but adds that she didn't swallow anything. That reply seems to satisfy David and asks that she lets him know if the tickle persists.

Number 32
Brent is surprised to see the boys arrive home as he waits for Harlow to arrive for the tutoring session. The boys explain they've popped home for lunch and are impressed with the fabric stress balls he's made, one of which he wants to give to Fay. "Fay will really love that," David replies, explaining that the balls are good for helping keep her hand strength. Aaron dishes out the praise to the lad too, so Brent nips back to the table (he's made 5 balls overall) and comes back with a ball for each of them,

BRENT: Just something to remember me by.

Now that Brent has raised the subject, the boys decide its time to discuss his long-term future - they want Brent to stay at #32 until the end of term, just before the baby is due. The lad can't believe it and readily agrees to their offer!

(Later)

Brent has relocated himself to the backyard as Harlow arrives for their tutoring session. He asks if Mackenzie is okay and Harlow replies that she is fine and goes on to say who it was she ran into [Richie].

Harlow spots the fabric stress ball on the table and he gives it to her so that she can use it to destress with. On thanking him, she can sense he is in a good mood and so he tells her about the offer from the boys to stay on at #32 until the middle of the year. Harlow is thrilled for him and that it allows them to hang out more too.

At this point, the UST between the pair is steadily increasing and when Brent starts to make a speech thanking her for all she's done in helping him... well it's the catalyst to Harlow kissing him!
