Number 32 (Jane's bedroom)
It's the morning after the night before and thanks to the spiked punch, both Jane and Clive are having a hard time working out how they ended up in the same bed! Jane wants him out of her bed and the house pronto with a promise too that he keeps quiet so nobody knows what happened!
Number 32 (kitchen)
After seeing Clive out of the house, Jane enters the kitchen and tries to use her cough as a cover for any noise made. The others comment about the noise coming from her room last night, which she is forced to say was due to her having "vivid dreams" because of the party, after initially trying to claim she'd had 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep! Aaron asks about the party and Jane replies it was "lovely" but quickly adds "uneventful" too before hastily departing to get a shower.
If only Jane knew that the others were more interested in knowing if Nicolette is pregnant or not, she might not have gotten as flustered as she did! Sadly no word yet on if the insemination has worked or not.
Number 28
Having surfaced from their bedroom, the Kennedys are chatting about the party and of course Toadie and Audrey when they notice how tidy the house is... Audrey has tidied the place up for them!
SUSAN: This is beyond a joke!
Karl agrees that Audrey staying back to clean was odd and wants her take on what Jane said - that Audrey hadn't had a boyfriend before, which was the opposite of what Nicolette said. "It's none of our business," is Susan's opinion and doesn't seem at all happy that Karl won't let it drop... especially if he goes to Nicolette to get things clarified. "Wouldn't you want to know for Toadie's sake," is his justification for digging?
Harold's café
Audrey is unsure how her cleaning #28 will have gone down but Toadie is sure the K's will have loved her cleaning up and adds that she made a good impression on them too... likewise we hear that his kids seem to like her too.
When Toadie heads to get some doughnuts for the kids, Nicolette goes over to try and wind Audrey up. Audrey isn't falling for it though, and Nicolette seems to totally back off after Audrey admits that she really likes Toadie.
Number 26
When Levi enters the garden (he's after the Cafétiere to make Bea breakfast in bed) both Sheila and Roxy are deliriously happy to hear that he has finally got together with Bea.
Number 32
Jane is suffering like anything as she puts some Alka Seltzer into a glass (she should have some Irn Bru instead, it's better for hangovers!) and rushes back outside unseen, just as Karl comes to the house to talk to Nicolette.
After entering the kitchen, Karl gets straight to the point and brings up the discrepancy over exactly how many boyfriends Audrey has had. Initially Nicolette tries to suggest her mum didn't say what she said, but when Karl confirms she did, she asks "what's the big deal?" "Well Toadie's a big deal," Karl quickly replies back with adding that since he is a part of their family, he is simply looking out for him. Cue awkward silence now from Nicolette so Karl plans to leave and ask Audrey instead, which prompts Nicolette to admit she lied - Jane was telling the truth. "Why would you do that?" he asks and her reply is "looking out for Toadie."
Karl looks utterly confused by her reply and asks if there is anything else they should know and again the silence forces him to ask if (again) they should be having a conversation with Audrey. "No," is her reply which Karl isn't amused to hear and calls her out about spreading "unfair rumours." "I literally only told you and Susan," she pleads with but he isn't buying that at all.
KARL: Audrey's a decent person. You can't go and slander her behind her back. Now, either you talk to her or I will.
The Waterhole
As they have a drink together, Levi isn't amused that Roxy is spending more time texting Kyle (bringing him up to date with the news) than chatting with him, so he gets his own back and starts texting Bea.
At the bar, Susan is talking to Sheila about the street's latest couple too, also pleased to hear the news. She is also happy to hear that Sheila is planning to make moves to get back with Clive after being inspired by the pep talk.
Number 32
Jane is debating whether to call Clive or not, but the boys' arrival in the kitchen means she's going to go for a walk instead.
Aaron is still desperate to know whether Audrey is pregnant or not, but David is trying to keep his feet firmly on the ground over it, and what the plans might be if she isn't.
The girls swap places in the kitchen with the boys and Chloe asks if Nicolette is okay, having seen when the boys talked to her about baby she seemed "uncomfortable." Nicolette admits she is trying to control the situation but feels like she is "hitting a wall with it." Chloe suggest she takes a different strategy to control the things she can and can't, which Nicolette seems to like the sound of.
The Waterhole
Rather than reassure Roxy that there is a logical reason why Kyle has gone radio silence, Sheila seems to be digging a bigger hole for herself, until Levi points out that she should stop talking!
Number 30
"Two chats in one day, I'm blessed," Audrey comments after she comes inside from finger painting with the kids to see Nicolette. "You might not think that when I tell you what I've done," Nicolette says to brace her friend for what she is about to say!
NICOLETTE: I might have said some things to the Kennedy's about you that aren't true, about your dating history.
AUDREY: What things?
NICOLETTE: I said that you could be obsessive.
Audrey isn't amused and Nicolette quickly adds that she straightened things out by saying that she made it up. "But why would you say something like that?!" Audrey demands to know and Nicolette's reply is that she is "terrified" the secret about the money will come out.
AUDREY: You're trying to break us up?
NICOLETTE: I'm really sorry.
Audrey is utterly exasperated at her friend and isn't sure what she is supposed to do "with what you've told me."
NICOLETTE: Do whatever you want, I am going to leave you alone from now on.
Audrey isn't fully sure that will be the case, but Nicolette is "because worrying about it coming out is doing my head in." "Yes, mine too," Audrey agrees and then asks, "is it really that easy for you to forget what we did?"
NICOLETTE: I am not proud of it but yes, I have moved on. You would feel so much better if you did the same.
Harold's café
The K's are quizzing Clive about him disappearing from the party without saying bye, when he quickly leaves them to talk to the newly arrived Jane.
Clive knows it's not the most appropriate time or place, so asks if they can arrange a chat for later. Jane would rather they didn't chat, but Clive feels it is important (much to the amusement of the watching K's) and this time Jane agrees to his request before he leaves.
"That looked like an odd conversation," Susan remarks after Jane spots them and goes to sit at their table. She also asks if everything is okay too, because of how the conversation looked. "Oh yes," Jane starts with then changes her mind and says "no."
JANE: I'm afraid I've made a terrible mistake. Please don't judge me... when I woke up this morning, I wasn't alone. I was with Clive.
"How did that happen," Susan eventually gets out after a brief pause for shock! "I don't know," Jane replies then admits she is having trouble trying to remember anything about last night "and I'm not too sure that I want to!" she adds. "How does Clive feel about it," Karl cautiously asks and Jane hopes he's got "no feelings on his side" and that they are going to chat later to sort things out.
Given her chat earlier, Susan suggests that Clive doesn't mention anything to Sheila, however Karl adds into the conversation, his chat with Clive - that he just sees Sheila as a friend, that the spark has "well and truly gone." Jane would rather not go behind Sheila's back though and wants to gauge what she thinks of it. "I wouldn't say anything," is still Susan's advice so not to unnecessarily upset Sheila.
Lassiters Lake
As he is out walking with Audrey, Toadie is trying his best to persuade her to allow him to publicly acknowledge her generous donation to the Foundation, explaining too that the good publicity also helps other donations to come in. Audrey though is sticking to her guns and doesn't want it to become public knowledge. "You've got to be one of the most selfless persons I've ever met," he remarks after reluctantly agreeing to her request to still keep the donation quiet.
Lassiters Complex
It looks like the world is contriving to prevent Clive and Jane meeting up to chat - first Nicolette catches her mum to see if she wants to join her for lunch at home (she will) and then Sheila catches Clive to invite him to dinner that evening at Lanzini's (rain check for another night)! Eventually they manage to get together, to "clear the air even if I don't know what to say," Jane says summing it up nicely!
CLIVE: I regard you as a friend, a close friend and I would hate to ruin that.
JANE: Me too.
CLIVE: And last night was a mistake.
Jane is relived to hear him say that and fully agrees that it was an "impetuous, crazy mistake." Both also readily agree that they aren't going to take things further, "and even if we were, it could be a problem for Sheila," Jane also adds in to reinforce their agreement.
CLIVE: Sheila and I are ancient history. She, just now, invited me to dinner at Lanzini's as a friend.
Jane isn't so sure that friends would eat in Lanzini's giving its 'fanciness' and Clive is now remembering Sheila [at the party] was trying to get him towards the decorations. "Mistletoe decorations?" Jane asks him and the penny now well and truly drops!
CLIVE: She wants to get back together.
Harold's café
Its Karl's turn now to have a go at his wife for her "meddling" after she comes clean about the advice she gave Sheila. "It's not the same thing!!!" Susan is quick to count with plus, when she gave the advice she didn't know about Jane and Clive!
SUSAN: If no-one finds out about it, it will be okay.
Toadie and Audrey overheard that last part when they entered Harold's, and the K's are forced to quickly come up with another explanation over what they were talking about (a supposed spill at #28).
While Toadie nips to the toilet, Audrey thanks them both for their hospitality, and Susan praises her for cleaning up, but does add in that it wasn't necessary. Audrey tells them both (after Karl asked) that Nicolette has been round to apologise for what she said to the K's about her. Karl admits he is "perplexed by her accusations," and Audrey passes it off as having a "thick skin when it comes to Nicolette" but its all sorted. Susan thinks that is "very gracious" to do that but Audrey explains that she isn't "the type of person to hold a grudge."
Number 26
Both Sheila and Levi are confused when Roxy presents herself dressed as if she his working as a barmaid in Switzerland! Roxy eventually explains that its for Kyle's benefit, "to keep the spark alive."
SHEILA: Newsflash, Kyle's not here!
ROXY: Yes, if I can't go to Germany with him, then I'll bring Germany here!
LEVI: By dressing up as Heidi?!
ROXY: Nailed it!
LEVI: Heidi's Swiss Rox!
SHEILA: And it's all Greek to me love!
Roxy is sure that Kyle will ignore those things after he sees the video she is going to make! She also adds that Sheila was her inspiration after what she wore to the K's party for Clive. "Not that it did me any good," Sheila remarks but then tells them both about asking Clive out to dinner, and him saying yes, thus "it's all coming together just like I hoped it would."
Harold's café
Toadie has had another thought about Audrey's donation - linking up disadvantaged kids with role models. "That is a really good idea," Audrey replies but isn't at all keen to be used as a role model. Toadie reminds her that she is "a career nurse and you literally gave your entire windfall to charity."
TOADIE: You're an inspiration.
When she doesn't say anything, he adds that her modesty is "cute" but she has to "give yourself more credit." "I didn't do what I did for credit," she explains to him. He knows that, "your generosity is one of the things I really like about you," but adds "other people need to see it" hence using her as a role model for kids.
Number 32
Chloe can sense that there has been a change in Nicolette and asks if she's sorted out her work issue. "Not completely," Nicolette replies but has taken on board Chloe's advice and is "trusting it's all going to work out."
Harold's café
Toadie is struggling to get his head around how great a person Audrey is - refusing to take the complement from him. "I don't deserve it," she tries to say to him.
TOADIE: Of course you do! I don't know anyone else who would have done what you did.
Toadie is just starting to say what he would have done if he'd won the money when she tells him to "stop."
AUDREY: I'm not good or humble or generous. I'm none of those things. I... the money, I donated was never mine. Nicolette and I... we stole it.
Coming up on Neighbours
