Lassiter's Complex
Kyle is telling Roxy that she should have talked Ned out of sending the racy Fandangle video. For this, she calls him Judgy McJudgyface, and tells him to drop it. Ned approaches, holding a paintbrush.

ROXY (to Kyle): No digs. (to Ned) Hey, Neddles! That's a big one. Brush. I mean, brush.

Ned doesn't want to talk about the video again. Kyle says that while he wouldn't have done it 'in a million years', he understands why Ned did.

KYLE: And it was a once-off, and you felt good about it, so... Ned, it was a once-off?
NED: Yes. A hundred percent. As for feeling good about it... I went too far. And Vee still doesn't know about it.
ROXY: I gave you really bad advice, didn't I?
NED: No. No, you told me to weigh it up carefully. I just thought about the money. Anyway, what's done is done. I'm gonna focus on the exhibition - try and forget what I did.

The Waterhole
Pierce is working at a table, when Shane turns up and sits down. He congratulates Pierce on the news about the baby. Pierce asks how Mackenzie's doing after her taser ordeal; Shane says she's getting there.

SHANE: Dipi said that you were a rock for her at the school.
PIERCE: I could say the same for her.
SHANE: Yeah. Good.

Pierce is about to leave, but Shane has an ulterior motive for sitting down - he wants to come back to work. Pierce says that's really up to Sheila, but Shane says Sheila's probably avoiding taking him back on out of worry over how Pierce, Paul and Terese would react.

PIERCE: And what does Dipi think?
SHANE: Oh, she's not crash-hot on the idea. She doesn't think I'm ready.
PIERCE: Well, that sounds like a consensus, then.
SHANE: ... I think they're all being too cautious. How am I supposed to prove myself if no-one's gonna give me a chance?
PIERCE: Dipi cares for you, and she wants you to do well, alright? You should listen to her.

Pierce has to go and meet Chloe, but he tells Shane to focus on settling back in - everything else will fall into place soon enough.

No 24
Chloe is looking through various baby paraphernalia that Pierce has bought, seemingly a bit overwhelmed. Pierce comes in, and Chloe remarks on how much stuff he's bought.

PIERCE: Now we know everything's okay, it's hard not to get a little bit excited. Got you a beetroot burger along the way.
CHLOE: You truly are a majestic man.

Chloe seems distracted, and Pierce asks her if she's okay. She claims she's finding it a bit quiet about the place, now Fay has gone. Pierce has something to show her - pictures of a sfiddley house he's identified as a potential new family home. It's ten minutes away in Eden Hills. Chloe points out that they already have a home, but Pierce says they'll need more room when the baby comes.

Chloe doesn't seem that keen, and wonders how Hendrix will feel moving away from Harlow. But apparently Pierce has already spoken to Hendrix, who he says is okay with the idea.

PIERCE: We were never gonna stay in this place forever.
CHLOE: I know. I just... wasn't expecting this.

Pierce says he's booked a viewing today if Chloe would like to see it.

CHLOE: Sure. Guess it couldn't hurt.

But she's still not looking happy about it.

Lassiter's Complex
Roxy is still hanging out with Kyle. She feels bad about advising Ned to consider doing the video, but Kyle reminds her it was his call.

ROXY: You were right. I should've known that it wasn't his jam.

Shane approaches.

ROXY: Do you mind if I go and say hey?
KYLE: Nah, course not. He's your mate.

But Kyle looks uncomfortable as she rushes off. Roxy catches up with Shane down the side of Harold's. She says she heard he came out of rehab early.

SHANE: If you want to have a go at me, you're gonna have to get in line, I think.
ROXY: Part of me wants to, but I don't think that that will help.
SHANE: Thank you. And, for what it's worth, I... I need to apologise. I'm sorry for what I did to you.
ROXY: Apology accepted, okay? I'm guessing you didn't get welcomed home with open arms?
SHANE: Nah, Dipi was so upset she wanted to send me straight back to the facility, and pay full price.
ROXY: Are you going to?
SHANE: No, I can't be there. Anyway, things are looking up. Dipi's coming around - she's going to give me a chance to prove myself, so...
ROXY: Good. Great. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
SHANE: ... I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to have anything to do with me. I treated you really badly.
ROXY: Yeah, you did. But I am your mate, and I think you need one of those.
SHANE: I don't really deserve it.
ROXY: You don't, but this is about how good of a person I am!
SHANE: I'm not sure Kyle will be so crash-hot on the idea.
ROXY: He's fine.
SHANE: I wouldn't be if I was him.
ROXY: Well, I just checked with him and he's chill. Don't worry about that. I think you need at least someone in your corner.

The Waterhole
Pierce is with Chloe, enthusing about the house they've just looked round; it has a 'butler's pantry', so sounds like a bit of a mansion. Pierce notes that Chloe was pretty quiet in the car on the way back, and asks what she thought of it.

CHLOE: I dunno. Like I said, this has come out of nowhere.
PIERCE: Yeah, well, I guess I'm just thinking long-term, you know? Especially if we're gonna have a sibling.
CHLOE: A sibling?!
PIERCE: Yeah. Well, I know it's a big subject. I'm not making any assumptions.
CHLOE: Yeah, I just... didn't even know this was on your radar.
PIERCE: Well, it's not. You know, it's just that things have been going so well lately, and I just thought that maybe it might be something that we'd consider, that's all.

Chloe doesn't look very happy.

Lassiter's Lake
Shane runs into Ned while out for a stroll.

NED: I heard you were out.
SHANE: I wasn't in the clink, mate. NED: Yeah, I know, I just meant... Well, I mean, if you're at a loose end, you could check out the Hive. It's my art space. Plenty of room to just chill, and have a biccie or something.
SHANE: I'm alright... But thanks for the offer, it's nice of you. I'll check it out sometime.
NED: Good. Cool.
SHANE: ... You've done really well with this thing.
NED: Ah, it's early days.
SHANE: Nah, come on, you've put in the hard yards. Stuck to your guns, despite me giving you all that grief. Toadie says that you're doing Vee's portrait. Reckon she's stoked, and proud.
NED: I just want her to be happy.
SHANE: You've done good, mate. Really good.

Ned smiles and goes on his way, but doesn't look so sure it's true as he walks off.

Lassiter's Complex
Kyle has come to do his accounts outside the pub, while Roxy is working. She seems distracted, and explains that she's worried about Shane, who hasn't been welcomed home with open arms. Kyle's visibly annoyed that Roxy is so concerned.

ROXY: I don't get why everyone is giving him such a hard time. I mean, I do get it. But considering the circumstances, it's not gonna help either.
KYLE: I guess it's complicated.
ROXY: I get he's come back from rehab early, but these things take time - you can't force them. And ridiculing him for it won't help either.

She's also annoyed that Pierce and Sheila won't let Shane back to work, saying he needs to be able to focus on something. Kyle remarks that he's sure they know what they're doing.

ROXY: I am glad that he has me in his corner. I wish I could do more, though.

Kyle looks worried as Roxy walks away.

No 24
Nicolette comes in to find the place still littered with Pierce's baby paraphernalia - Chloe explains much of it's for the baby shower. Nicolette confirms she's had a relatively aggro-free trip away with Jane.

NICOLETTE: There were a few stern words, but that was only over which restaurant to eat at.
CHLOE: Well, that's great. Progress, right?
NICOLETTE: If Pierce buys more baby stuff, you're gonna need a mansion to put it in!

Chloe explains they inspected a 'mini-mansion' earlier. Nicolette remarks that Pierce doesn't muck around. Feeling uncomfortable, Nicolette makes an excuse to leave the house, claiming one of her jumpers has ended up in Jane's bag. Chloe is still looking out of sorts.

Erinsborough Hive
Ned gets a message on Fandangle from Scavenger_King35. 'Your site says you aren't doing commissions any more. Will you do one just for me? I'm your number one fan.' Ned replies, saying, 'Can't. Sorry.' But the fan quickly replies, saying they'd pay double, and then saying 'please' repeatedly. Frustrated, Ned goes to the menu and selects 'delete account'.

The Waterhole
Kyle is at a table indoors when Pierce gives him a fright by appearing from nowhere. Kyle has been distracted watching Roxy and Shane talking at the bar. He admits to Pierce that something's not sitting right about their chumminess.

PIERCE: I doubt you're the only one to feel that way... Dipi. I know she forgave Roxy at karaoke, but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be thrilled to see them chumming again.
KYLE: Fair enough. Every time Roxy helps Shane, he just takes over. He's like this black hole, sucking out all the judgement out of her.
PIERCE: Can't you do something about it?
KYLE: Like what?
PIERCE: Tell her that you're worried.
KYLE: Nah, I'm not gonna be one of those blokes that tells his girlfriend what to do.
PIERCE: Yeah, but if you think she's making a mistake, you have to say something.
KYLE: Wouldn't be an easy conversation to have.
PIERCE: It'll save you trouble down the track, alright? And not just for you and Roxy.

Roxy starts laughing loudly at something Shane's said, and Kyle looks even more worried.

No 28
Nicolette arrives to talk to Jane, who quickly guesses it's about Chloe. Nicolette explains how Pierce has filled the house with baby products.

NICOLETTE: It's like the universe is teasing me. This is everything you want - Chloe, house, baby - but you can't have it.
JANE: You want to have children with Chloe?
NICOLETTE: Well, no.
JANE: But you do want to have children one day?
NICOLETTE: When I look at my future, I see kids in it.
JANE: Oh, I just never thought of you as maternal.
NICOLETTE: I could say the same about you!
JANE: I'm... well, I'm rather pleasantly surprised!
NICOLETTE: Can we put the grandmother dreams aside for a moment and get back to the point, please?
JANE: (...) The point is that you want a future with Chloe.
NICOLETTE: Well, I did. For a short period of time. But I know that is not an option. I just can't unsee it.
JANE: Well, I'm sure you'll have a family one day.
NICOLETTE (upset): But not with Chloe.
JANE: No. Which is good. Because she's married to someone else. Your heart is precious. Don't go giving it to someone who's already given theirs to another.
NICOLETTE: You're right. I need to avoid her. It's not easy when we live in the same house.
JANE: You won't be there for much longer.
NICOLETTE: No. I'm sure I can handle it for a few weeks.
JANE: Course you can.
NICOLETTE: Although, she didn't seem herself earlier.
JANE: I don't mean to sound harsh. But Chloe's feelings aren't your problem. The best cure for a broken heart... is distance. You need to stay away from her.

Pierce sits down with Chloe on the sofa; he's feeling bad for what he sprung on her before about potentially having siblings for the baby down the track.

PIERCE: I guess I was just daydreaming about it.
CHLOE: I know how excited you are.
PIERCE: I'm excited for us. But if we never add to our family, then that's okay, too. Just forget I said anything, okay? And forget about the house, too.
CHLOE: Thank you.

But then he starts talking about all the baby things he's bought, and Chloe looks alienated again...

Lassiter's Complex
Kyle asks to talk to Roxy; she doesn't have much time because she's going to help Shane with his résumé, which underlines Kyle's point.

KYLE: You know I said I was cool with you still being mates?
ROXY: Yeah?
KYLE: I'm not. I think he takes too much from you.
ROXY: Friends support each other.
KYLE: A friend wouldn't do what he did.
ROXY: He wasn't himself, Kyle. And that's my trauma I have to deal with.
KYLE: And I totally get that. But I saw it... and I just can't forget about it.
ROXY: It's not gonna happen again. I trust him. Shane is putting in the hard yards to do better, and he needs someone to support him, because everyone else is down on him.
KYLE: And so they should be. His family has every right to be angry. He should be facing the music, not getting pats on the back. Babe, I'm not trying to be controlling. I just don't want to see you getting hurt.
ROXY: I don't think that that's gonna happen.
KYLE: Shane used you. Yes, okay, he's getting better, and he's got a long way to go. But he needs to do that on his own. I reckon, just give him some space until he gets his head right.

No 24
Nicolette comes back in, and finds Chloe looking sad. She tries to claim she's okay, but Nicolette encourages her to talk.

CHLOE: The last thing you want is me running to you with my problems.
NICOLETTE: Aren't you guys blissfully happy?
CHLOE: ... Meant to be. I'm just in a weird mood.

Chloe gets up quickly, and makes an excuse to leave, claiming she's heading to No 32 to scour it for stray chocolates. Nicolette looks worried.

The Waterhole
Shane is sitting at the bar. He tells Roxy he's going to go and see Mackenzie, and asks if she wants to come with him. Roxy looks gutted as she follows Kyle's advice, but does her best to maintain a firm tone.

ROXY: I can't (...) I don't think us hanging out anymore is a good idea.
SHANE: What's happened? Has Kyle said something, or Dipi?
ROXY: No. This is my decision. I can't be there for you to lean on.
SHANE: I'm a little confused. You said you could.
ROXY: I just can't.
SHANE: You said we were mates.
ROXY: Our friendship has a track record of interfering with other relationships.
SHANE: But no-one else is gonna cut me any slack, you know?
ROXY: You're just gonna have to suck that up. Proving yourself to your family, that's what should be most important. I think it's best for everyone right now.

Shane is gutted too, but agrees, and walks away. Roxy looks guilty.

Lassiter's Complex
Kyle and Roxy are talking about her friend-split with Shane. Kyle acknowledges it's rough on her, but Roxy says she meant everything she said, and it was her decision. Kyle says it was the right one.

Ned is outside the hotel, and as they approach, Kyle notices he's looking at some brochures for places around Victoria. Ned explains he wants to take Yashvi away for a getaway break. Kyle casually invites him and Roxy too, to make it 'like a double-date road trip'. Roxy's enthusiastic, but Ned looks like he thinks it's the worst idea ever.

Ned asks Roxy if she and Yashvi are on good terms again after their fallout over Shane, saying it might be awkward. Roxy promises to talk to Yashvi about it, but she and Kyle seem determined to come on the trip. Ned fakes a smile, then looks annoyed.

No 32
Chloe is hanging out on the patio. She makes a phone call to Elly, but gets her voicemail.

CHLOE: Hey, Elly. It's, umm, me, Chloe. Just... being Chloe. Umm, I called to chat... just chat. Umm, I'll call you later.

Chloe looks really upset as she hangs up. Nicolette approaches, having come to find her.

NICOLETTE: I knew something was wrong (...) Chloe, you can talk to me. Whatever it is, you shouldn't be bottling it up.
CHLOE: It's about Pierce... umm, he's been so happy since we got the CVS test results. And I'm happy the baby's healthy too.
NICOLETTE: But...?
CHLOE: I just have this weird feeling of... something (...) When we went to look at the bigger house, he dropped into the conversation that we might have more kids someday. And he was so lovely - like, he wasn't pressuring me whatsoever. But I did feel pressure. And maybe a bit of panic, too.
NICOLETTE: That's normal.
CHLOE: Is it? He has been so supportive in giving me options. I've been so consumed with worry about passing on the Huntington's gene. It's like it's only just hitting me now.
NICOLETTE: What is?
CHLOE: I'm having a baby with Pierce. What if I don't want that with him?
