The Waterhole
As she chats it over with Paul, Terese still isn't sure how her chat with Dax transpired into her inadvertently bribing him! She is though very fearful of what might happen if Dax or his wife says something and Paul tries to allay her fears, putting what happened down to "miscommunication." She thinks otherwise but Harlow's return from the toilet curtails the conversation. The lass is very much relieved that the charges have been dropped although is still curious to know who the drugs belonged to in the first place.
Number 22
Roxy has told Kyle about what was said in her meeting with Sheila and he can't believe how rude his Gran was. He does though think that there is something else on her mind just now but isn't sure what. Roxy is still down about it despite the reassurance he is trying to give her.
KYLE: Stuff what she thinks! We don't need her approval.
ROXY: Your Gran is the most important person in your life Kyle. She's not on board... its going to be a problem.
"I don't know what to do," he admits, and Roxy's solution is that they "have to prove her wrong then."
Number 32
The boys are still adjusting to life with a teenager in the house - bemoaning at having to get in extra food and how long they take in the shower... although David thinks that was more so that lad can avoid the tutoring session! Aaron isn't sure if Emmett is being quiet because of the punishment but David is sure that once the holidays are over and he's back into a routine his usual self will return.
Just at that, Emmett is back and declares that the tutoring session was too hard, and David tries to reassure him that the extra work will pay off. Aaron asks if there is anything else worrying him and Emmett opens up that his mum hasn't replied to his texts in over a week. "I should be used to it by now," the lad laments but you can see he is really down about it and he even forgoes the offer of going for a milkshake to stay home.
Lassiters Complex
Yashvi is still wanting answers over how the charges against Harlow were dropped and Levi tries to explain that it's the difference "between theory and practice."
Just at that, Yashvi spots Dax heading to the station so starts asking him 1001 questions until Levi stops the quizzing, joking that "rookies eh, always need to know everything." Dax looks almost relived too when Sheila calls over wanting Levi's help with a keg but is told she will have to wait.
Number 32
David comes off the phone from Shaun to hear the other side of the story that Emmett is giving them - its not as bad as the lad is making things out to be, Shaun just thinks it's a confidence issue he has. They both wonder what has happened to his mum but are unsure whether to make enquires or not.
Emmett appears in the garden, planning to shoot some hoops. He gets a text from Louis and the boys suggest getting him over to the house with a promise to keep out of their way.
Terese's office
Keryn (Dax's wife) drops by to thank Terese again for the treatments they got and to ask for "mate's rates" on hiring the ballroom for Dax's forthcoming 40th birthday celebrations. "Leave it with me," she says to Keryn through almost gritted teeth!
Paul and Keryn trade places and Terese tells him about the freebies she is after now. "This might be a slightly bigger problem than I imagined," he declares and Terese thinks its now time for a "tactfully" chat with Dax, still fearful of the fallout from the hidden camera scandal. He is worried about any repercussions for Harlow, but she is confident that with their money and lawyers the lass will be protected.
TERESE: But I need to be very clear about my position. I can't be involved in anything illegal.
Harold's café
Hendrix admits to Harlow that he still can't believe she got "busted for doing drugs" at his party and wonders how she can be "cool about all this?" "I'm not," she admits but is also frustrated at the idea someone thinks they are now going to get away with it as she was the one caught.
Number 26
Sheila is quite sarcastic to Kyle when he finally appears having ignored the text messages she sent earlier in the day wanting his help at The Waterhole. He is peeved at her not "making an effort" with Roxy like he asked her to, but her blunt response is "I tried" and was she expected "to lie to her" after being put on the spot?
KYLE: You know what this means to me. You've really hurt Roxy's feelings.
Sheila's defence is it wouldn't have happened if he'd not put them together "in that tin can" and adds that she went for honesty on her thoughts about them getting together.
SHEILA: I was thinking of Roxy too.
KYLE: No, you were interfering again.
He continues by asking if she's "not learned anything from the past?" Sheila insists she has but is adamant she is "right" and that they will "thank her in the long run!"
KYLE: I don't think so Gran. You're out of line, so sort yourself out and start showing Roxy some respect otherwise you're going to lose mine.
Lassiters Complex
Terese catches up with Dax and delicately explains about his wife not paying for her treatment at the spa. He thinks his wife has simply misunderstood him relaying their conversation to her and promises to have a word. Terese is relived to have confirmation she didn't bribe a police officer and that they have sorted the matter out.
Number 32
"Be patient," David is telling Emmett when the lad is fretting that Louis has stood him up as he hasn't appeared yet. Seconds later, Aaron shows the ten-minute late Louis out into the backyard before the boys leave the kids too it.
Before retreating inside to get food for the kids, David hopes that Louis isn't one of the "bad influences" Shaun mentioned. Aaron doesn't think so as Louis is "well mannered" but he may reconsider that after the kids chat about what to do and Louis suggests they could "trash the school some more!"
LOUIS: I can't believe you too the rap for that.
EMMETT: I'm not a dobber.
LOUIS: That's what I like about you, I think we could get up to some mad stuff.
Lassiters Complex
Despite Levi buying her a drink, Yashvi is still giving him a hard time for stopping her quizzing Dax earlier. He tries to advise her that she can't get worked up over every case that stumps her plus "nobody likes a smart alec fresh out of the academy who thinks she has a right to question the Sarge's call.
LEVI: Pay your dues. Just keep your mouth shut.
Number 22
Roxy is trying another angle on Sheila - impressing her with some homemade muffins.
HARLOW: What kind are they?
ROXY: They are 'please change your mind about me' muffins.
Harlow doesn't think she should be having to do anything, but Roxy feels that if she does nothing, it risks letting Sheila "hate me forever." She is fearful too of Kyle being stuck in the middle thus deciding to "suck it up and take the high road."
There is a slight flaw in Roxy's plans though, she's mucked up the recipe, so the muffins are brick hard and thinks it is another excuse for Sheila to hate her. Before heading over with the muffins, Harlow is sure that Roxy still has some built in emotion ready to be unleashed first, and she does just that:
ROXY: She is the most infuriating person in the world. There's a lot of people who can judge me, but I don't think she is one of them! I could give her a few red-hot tips - Sheila is a busybody who sticks her nose in everybody else's business because she is sad, and her life is boring.
"Let it all out," Harlow urges her on with, but she might perhaps not say that if she knows who was listening in... Sheila at the back door.
ROXY: And the only reason that she doesn't want me to be with Kyle is because she wants him all to herself! Being obsessed with your grandson like that, it's a little sad and also a little creepie.
Sheila creeps out as quietly as she arrived as Roxy was finishing her tirade. "Feeling any better?" Harlow asks and Roxy admits yes, that it "did feel good."
Terese's office
Terese is in a happy mood as she tells her husband about her conversation with Dax. She admits to still finding the whole thing "a little odd" but is told not to dwell on it, as "Harlow, and the hotel and your reputation are safe."
Number 24
Harlow and Hendrix are having a socially distant chat on the couch about Roxy's woes with Sheila when Emmett drops by to see if he can borrow Hendrix's drone. "Negative, that's expensive," he is told but Hendrix ends up caving in, subject to very strict conditions, when Emmett explains why he wants to borrow it (so he can show Louis that he isn't lame).
Number 32
Emmett is showing the controls of the drone to Louis and doesn't look too enthralled at it being used to look at girls, but the drone is quickly covered up when the boys hear David come out into the garden. As soon as David goes back inside (to check on the pizza) the boys rush off with the drone.
Number 26
Sheila is doing some gardening when Roxy arrives with her gift of the muffins.
SHEILA: Are they poisoned?!
ROXY: Try one and find out.
Sheila is about to tell Roxy where she can stick the muffins but quickly changes it to her making a cuppa when she spots Kyle come out into the backyard. Kyle is impressed at the gesture from Roxy and Sheila doesn't say anything derogatory about them even on finding out that has been a recipe mix up. Roxy then manages to twist Sheila's words around so that Sheila's caring words about Kyle are hers too and since what's important for Kyle is also important for her
ROXY: So I was hoping that we could put the past in the past, all bad words forgotten.
With Kyle present, the only thing Sheila can really do is to not her approval of the proposal!
Harold's café
Harlow arrives at the café to meet up with Yashvi before they head to the hospital to see Mackenzie - she's apparently dying to hear exactly how Harlow got lifted! After admitting the job is harder than she thought it would be, Yashvi apologises for her role in arresting Harlow but is reminded that she was "just doing your job." Harlow seems as frustrated as Yashvi on hearing that the case has been moved to the drugs squad and become a low priority case.
Ramsay Street
Emmett looks like he wants to visit the toilet very hurriedly for every second Louis uses Hendrix's drone!
Number 22
Sheila is a bearer of gifts as she arrives at #22... returning (with vengeance!) the muffins Roxy baked for her. The pair are working up to having a right ding-dong of an argument when Roxy spots the drone in the sky.
Ramsay Street/Number 22
Louis describes Roxy as "hot" from the image he is getting back via his mobile phone and adds also that "it's a shame the old lady is spoiling the view." Despite Emmett wanting him to get the drone back to them, Louis wants a close-up view of Roxy.
"Who's in control of that damn thing," Sheila says on seeing it get closer to them in the backyard of #22. "Probably some creep who's trying to spy on us," Roxy replies and picks up one of her (rock hard) muffins and takes aim at the drone...scoring a direct hit!
Watching on the screen, Emmett can see something has gone wrong and asks Louis. He seems more 'delighted' that Roxy saw them rather than of what has happened to the drone!
"I think I broke it," Roxy says as the drone starts to decent from the sky onto the ground and in the street, Louis suddenly decides its time to depart and bolts from the front yard of #32 having taken his mobile phone, leaving Emmett to deal with things. However as the controller is on the ground, it meant that the drone's descent wasn't controlled... and so it crash-lands right on Sheila!
