Mackenzie is getting ready for school and Shane is starting his accelerated Uni classes today.
Dee pops round to tell Toadie that she gave the photo of Hugo to Andrea. Shane and Dipi are a bit shocked.
Dee persuades Toadie to take a couple of hours off today.
Lassiter's Car Park
CHLOE: How can the Kennedys be rules unfit parents? They are, like, parenting gurus!
Aaron and David laugh and Pierce comments what a help they were with him and Hendrix. Chloe can't believe that Aster would be better off with Claudia.
They talk about the island and Chloe says she doesn't want to deal with the 'under-handed, baby-stealing...' but just then Claudia comes along with Aster in the pram. She tells them that she hopes they can keep personal and professional issue separate when it comes to the island.
Waterhole
Dipi is worried about Andrea and Hugo's photo, and Dee's influence on Toadie. She thinks Andrea is manipulating her. Shane warns her to stay out of it.
Chloe and Pierce come in and sit at a table. She's not sure whether to sell to Claudia or not. On balance, she doesn't want to, to stay loyal to Elly.
The woods
Dee and Toadie are walking along with fishing gear and chatting.
Penthouse
Terese has dropped in to see how Claudia and Aster are getting on. While she's there, Susan comes in and apologies to Claudia for the way she spoke to her. With Terese's encouragement, Claudia awkwardly lets Susan hold Aster, but tells her she'd rather that Susan called ahead in future. Susan sits on the sofa and coos over Aster. Claudia sits down right next to her to make Susan feel as uncomfortable as possible.
Jail
Andrea is showing the other in-mates her photo of Hugo and making a sly dig at Toadie by saying that Hugo has his ears. Elly doesn't join in. Andrea tells the other inmates that she reckons she can get Toadie to bring Hugo in to visit her soon. They are skeptical, but Andrea says that Dee will help her. She is quite intimidating and Elly looks worried.
The woods
Dee and Toadie are fishing and swapping fishing stories.
TOADIE:(awkwardly) Hey, uh...I would have asked you down for a visit sooner rather than later. Even if Andrea hadn't asked to see you, that is.
DEE: Well, you never know, I might have beaten you to it. Rocked up on your doorstep by surprise.
TOADIE: Either way...I'm glad you're here.
DEE: Me too.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Aaron and David bump in to Claudia. She asks them about the Buddy Club, which Aaron was involved in. They coo over Aster and mention that they're looking into foster care. She tells Aaron that she didn't mean to cause any distress, she was just 'trying to put her grand-daughter first'.
CLAUDIA: And when Elly's served her sentence...
DAVID:(firmly) She might still be released on appeal.
She is clearly trying to influence Aaron about the island decision, and tell him she has a proposal for him.
Jail
Andrea asks Elly who she was talking to on the phone earlier. She also says that she expects Elly to back her up in future, without being asked.
Coffee Shop
Terese comes in and sits down with Susan. Apparently the Department has been encouraging Susan to take leave. Susan would rather stay busy though.
They talk about Claudia and how awful she is. Susan gets upset that she's been told she's not fit to look after her own family and Terese comforts her.
Mackenzie sees this.
The woods
Dee has caught a big fish, much to Toadie's disgust. He's lost their bet and now will be cooking up the fish.
Dee gets a message on her voicemail from Elly - she wants Dee to visit her.
Lassiter's Complex
Chloe and Pierce are surprised to see Claudia having an upbeat conversation with Aaron and David. They go over and Claudia tells them that she'd like Aaron to design and oversee an activities programme for the adventure camp on the island. Also, she'd like Chloe to be the development manager. Both roles would be part time, but they could work together on it. Claudia suggests that Chloe thinks about it for a few days.
When she's gone, Chloe tells Aaron that she can't do anything to hurt Elly. Aaron says that he thinks Claudia is on the level - and also, it's another tie to the area for Claudia, and, by extension, Aster. Chloe looks conflicted.
Coffee Shop
Susan and Terese are still talking. When Terese takes a phonecall, Mackenzie goes over to Susan.
MACKENZIE: I wanted to give you something. I don't mean to cross the line or anything, but you were so supportive of me when I first moved here, so...
She hands Susan a piece of paper.
SUSAN: It's a phone number.
MACKENZIE: My psychologist. She's incredible. Actually, everyone at the practice is lovely...they've got flexible hours and you can do a mental health plan with your GP...so...anyway, I thought, maybe you could do with the help.
SUSAN:(close to tears) That's...very thoughtful, thank you, Mackenzie.
Terese comes back and thinks counselling would be a good idea for Susan.
Jail
Dee has arrived to see Elly. Elly asks her if Andrea has said anything odd about Toadie and Hugo. Dee seems to think that Andrea has a hidden warmth to her.
ELLY: Just don't get ahead of yourself. She has sucked in a lot of people.
DEE: Believe me, I am being cautious. She is not going to hurt me or Toadie ever again. Is that all you wanted to talk about?
They chat about Toadie and Dee promises she'll take care of him.
DEE: Are you sure there's nothing else you want to talk about?
ELLY: No...that's it.
Cell
Elly returns to the cell to find Andrea there. She knows that Elly met with Dee.
ANDREA: We're...friends, aren't we, Conway?
ELLY: Yeah.
ANDREA: Yeah, just checking. Cos, um, you kind of rubbed Patrice the wrong way. And she holds a grudge. If I was to find out that you're saying mean things about me to my sister, I don't think it'd end well.
No.30
Toadie is cooking the fish dinner for Dee. Shane and Dipi head out to eat.
Dee arrives and they chat about the prison visit with Elly. Toadie has got some ruby chocolate which they both try and end up kissing.
Coming up on Neighbours
- Paul tells Ned that he was the one that blew things up into a massive event, so he can fix it.
- Roxy sees Kyle talking to a woman.
- Claudia tells Elly that Aster will have a wonderful life with her.
- Elly tells Chloe that she's worried Claudia will try to cut off her access to Aster entirely.
