Just then Trish rings Mackenzie, but she rejects the call.
No.28 (Garden)
Toadie is explaining that their best bet is to establish reasonable doubt that Elly killed Finn. Elly isn't sure this is possible under the circumstances. After all, she did hate him(!) Just then, Chloe pops round and asks Elly for a private chat.
No.28 (inside)
Chloe gives the memory stick with the video diaries on it to Elly, telling her not to tell Toadie. She thinks watching them will help Elly though - and not just for the case.
Waterhole

Just then, Auntie Trish arrives so Roxy makes herself scarce. Trish tells Mackenzie firmly that they need to talk.

Coffee Shop

No.28 (inside)
Elly and Bea are watching the video diaries. On the screen, Finn says that sleeping with Elly triggered something in him - a memory. Finn says he went to the storage locker to destroy everything, but he remembered what it was like to punish the people who'd betrayed him - wonderful.
FINN: Elly told me that we couldn't be together because of Bea. She's right. Bea wouldn't cope with Elly and me as a couple. So, if Bea's the obstacle...maybe I need to remove her.
He looks evilly into the screen. Elly is crying at this point.
BEA: He's a twisted psycho! I know that you felt something for him, but he is evil! This isn't on you, Elly!
ELLY: Isn't it? Kissing me was the trigger. He was obsessed with me and everything he did was part of some sick, twisted fantasy. Bea, he nearly killed you, because of me. I caused this. I am to blame for everything.
Ramsay Street
Bea limps across the street on her crutches and tells Chloe off for giving Elly the video diaries. She's appalled to hear the full contents of the diaries as she only watched bits and pieces.
BEA: Next time you try and help - don't!
Coffee Shop
Susan tells Toadie that she hasn't thought of a character witness for Elly yet (well, it is a slim field!)
Toadie greets Dipi, but she clearly doesn't want to talk to Susan and backs off. Toadie suggests to Susan that she sees a counsellor - he's been seeing on himself.
SUSAN: It wouldn't be right for me to feel better.
TOADIE: Susan, you can't deliberately torture yourself.
SUSAN: Look how much pain I've caused.
TOADIE: Everyone's grieving. That doesn't mean everyone wants you to sacrifice your own well-being, that's not going to change anything.
SUSAN: You're right, it's not. It's not going to bring back Gary or help Dipi, or Sheila, or Kyle, or anyone. They all have to live with their pain. I should too.
Lassiter's Lake (near Rotunda)
Toadie comes across Dipi and talks to her.
DIPI: I can't believe he's gone. I just keep expecting to see him.
TOADIE: I know. Me, too. It's not fair. So...here's the thing about Shane. He doesn't need to be in the same boat as us to understand. In fact, it's probably better that he's not. Cos he can be our anchor. It means that we can fall apart knowing there's someone there who can pick us both back up.
DIPI: I didn't think about it like that.
TOADIE: He's got strong arms, Dip.
DIPI: He's going to need them.
They hug.
Waterhole
Ned, Yashvi and Shane have just drunk a toast to Gary when Mackenzie comes in. She asks to talk to Shane, but he's not sure if it's a good time.
Dipi and Toadie come in. They tell Shane that they've been planning a fishing trip in memory of Gary. Dipi apologises to Shane and hugs him.
TOADIE: I'm going to put it out the to the Universe...no more drama. Do you hear?
SHANE: Hear, hear!
YASHVI: Amen.
DIPI: Absolutely.
Mackenzie feels it's not the moment to ask about the living arrangements.
No.28
Chloe comes round to see how Elly is and apologises for the video diaries. Elly tells Chloe that she has too much on her plate at the moment and she should leave.
Outside the Waterhole
Roxy sees Mackenzie brooding and asks her what's going on with her aunt. Mackenzie confides in Roxy about the Fremantle move and not being able to talk to the Rebecchis at the moment. Roxy says there might be another option - she assure Mackenzie that her plans are sometimes crazy, but they always get results!
