Prue and Gary's engagement news is met with an awkward reaction from assembled RSRs, including Kyle, Sheila, Harlow, Roxy, Paul and Terese.
PRUE: I popped the question on our last night in London.
SHEILA: Oh, *you* proposed?
Prue tells them all how she realised that Gary was her soulmate. But nobody looks particularly happy or convinced. Gary says they'd ideally have waited to announce it later, so people could 'see how good we are together' first. But...
GARY: Life's short, so - when you're onto a good thing, why not make it legal?
ROXY: I think it's super-romantic!
Evidently, nobody else in the room agrees. Harlow walks out.
Lassiter's Complex
Mark Gottlieb is sitting outside the hotel, when Lucy turns up. She tells him their meeting will have to be postponed; Terese is otherwise occupied with Harlow. Mark says he and Lucy could still talk, but she looks awkward and says she's happy to wait till the meeting is rearranged.
MARK: Is there something else wrong?
LUCY: ... Ticket sales are still low (...)
MARK: Bugger. Paul and Terese will be back on deck soon. You'll work it out.
Lucy excuses herself to go and find Paul and Terese. Mark looks concerned.

Gary is with Sheila and Kyle, who are both in disbelief that he's marrying Prue and so quickly. They both offer words of caution and suggest Gary think about it first.
GARY: I don't need to think! I know what I want.
KYLE: So what's with it being a secret, then? When you got back, you told me there was nothing going on between you two.
GARY: Yeah, and that's because she just wanted to focus on Harlow first (...)
KYLE: So she says. But all Prue does is lie! I don't believe she's told us the whole truth.
SHEILA: Yeah. And she's probably just using you to get a visa.
KYLE: You can't marry someone that untrustworthy, Dad.
SHEILA: What about when another cult comes along? Or another man?
GARY: Mum, it's not gonna happen!
SHEILA: Maybe not today. But marriage is for life! We love you. And we don't want to fight. We just don't want to see you get into something that you're gonna be really, really sorry for.
GARY: ... I'm not gonna regret it.

Harlow and Prue are talking on the patio.
HARLOW: You said you came home for me.
PRUE: I did!
HARLOW: Well, you're getting married, so clearly Gary's your first priority. And I'm number two.
PRUE: Why does it have to be a competition?
HARLOW: Because I know you, Mum. You go and dive into something - whether it's the Order, or proposing to someone you barely even know.
PRUE: Oh, but I do know Gary. All of this doesn't change how I care about you. Look, I still want to fix things between us. I love you *and* I love Gary.
HARLOW: It's just, it's so fast it's ridiculous, Mum.
PRUE: What does that mean?
HARLOW: I know what it's like to be disappointed by you. And he is less experienced. You know, once you go and drop him like a hot potato and move onto the next fixation, he's gonna be heartbroken, Mum. Again.

In the bedroom, Finn is filming his video diary on his phone.
FINN: I still haven't found anyone to come to the island for me. I hate the thought of everyone just celebrating with Elly, and me stuck here, just... worrying about that storage locker. I was planning some pretty bad things. And there's some pretty bad stuff in that storage locker. If anyone was to ever find it... That's stupid. I don't even know where it is. That was the deal that we made. I wonder if he knows if it's still there. At least it's locked. I can't remember the combination, so it's locked.
Susan calls from outside the room.
SUSAN: Finn, I've got some good news for you!
He joins Susan, Karl and Bea in the living area, where Susan tells him that Toadie has agreed to go to the island as Finn's guardian. Both Finn and Bea are thrilled by this news.
BEA: And this means you guys don't have to come anymore! ... Unless you still want to!
KARL: Could you sound even less excited about that prospect?
BEA: I didn't mean it like that!
But Susan is pleased, as it means she can still run her stall at the wedding expo.
KARL: And I'll get some quiet time. Though, I was looking forward to a little bit of nude beach action.
SUSAN: Oh! Looks like we all dodged a bullet.
Susan tells Finn that Toadie's only going for one day, but that it will be the day Finn needs to do his parole check-in.
FINN: So I can stay the whole time!
BEA: Fun, sun, here we come!
Hugging Finn, Bea tells him that Elly will be so stoked he can join them.
FINN: Yeah. I hope so.
But he looks a bit worried.
The Waterhole
Harlow is chatting to Paul and Terese about Prue's engagement; she's resigned to not being able to change Prue's mind. Paul suggests he give Harlow a driving lesson to help take her mind off it. Harlow agrees, and the two of them head off.
Lucy arrives, and joins Terese to discuss the wedding expo. However, Terese spots Gary at the bar and goes over to talk to him.
TERESE: Look, I'm really happy that you reconnected with Prue. But it does seem to be moving pretty quickly.
GARY: Well, that's Prue. She doesn't do things by halves, and that's one of the things I really love about her. It's always an adventure.
Terese says people will come round to the idea of Gary and Prue getting married in time. Lucy is still over at her table, and overhears this conversation with interest. Gary thanks Terese.

Bea tells Finn that it's nice to see him happy, following the news that he can go to the island. Finn admits he is happy. His phone rings - it's his dad, Trent. Finn doesn't answer it, but has what appears to be a memory, as we hear Trent's voice.
TRENT (voiceover): Something happened, son. In Colombia. I'm so sorry.
Without answering the phone, Finn suddenly gets angry, and shouts that he doesn't want to talk to Trent. He slams the phone down; Bea reassures him it's okay. Susan and Karl, who are at the dinner table, look worried. Bea assures an agitated Finn that he doesn't need to talk to his dad until he's ready.
We cut to a still-upset Finn in his bedroom, recording his video diary.
FINN: He could've saved me! And he basically abandoned me when I got home. I don't know what I would do if I was to see him again. Don't know if I'd be able to stop myself from... I am trying to keep the bad stuff away. I am - I'm trying to be good! But these memories - Dad - everything just keeps hammering at me! I can't catch a break! (...) It's all Bea's fault. She's the one who brought Dad out of the woodwork. I'm trying to love her, I am - I am trying to love her. But she's not making it easy. Then there's Elly. Even just the thought of her and Aster, it just makes me so happy!
He lies back on the bed, smiling.
Lassiter's
In the office, Mark Gottlieb has prepared a sample food menu for the wedding expo, for Lucy to taste-test.
MARK: You seemed so stressed before - I thought I'd lighten the load.
LUCY: Oh, how light will I be once I eat all this?
MARK: All love-themed, of course. As if that wasn't obvious.
He's even made her a couple of special dishes just for her - not available to the general public. Lucy is impressed, and reaches for the 'raspberry love-bomb' - but Mark insists on spoon-feeding it to her. Lucy loves the first sample.
LUCY: Sweet. And spicy.
MARK: Just like you.
Lucy says she's just come to collect Mark for their meeting with Paul and Terese. He says they can pick up their taster session again later 'and call it a date'.
LUCY: Okay. Let's do it!

Bea is talking to Karl and Susan about Finn. She wants to take Finn out of the house to take his mind off things. Karl thinks Vitamin D would help.
SUSAN: Don't you suggest more nudity!
KARL: I wasn't going to!
Finn comes out of his room, and Bea asks if he wants to go shopping for swimwear for the island. Finn doesn't seem keen, but at that moment Elly turns up, to ask if anyone could mind Aster for half an hour back at No 32. Finn immediately volunteers, and Bea is disappointed as she wanted to go shopping with him. Finn suggests Bea go without him; he needs some 'quality niece time'.
FINN: Besides, you'll pick out way better boardies than me.
BEA: True.
ELLY: Boardies?
BEA: For the island.
ELLY (worried): You're coming?
Bea explains that Finn can come now that Toadie's agreed to chaperone. Elly pretends to be pleased at this news, and Finn prepares to head across the road to mind Aster.
The Waterhole
Harlow and Paul are back from their driving lesson, and rejoin Terese; Harlow seems much happier now, and tells Terese she's 'all good'. As she leaves, Lucy and Mark Gottlieb arrive for the meeting with Paul and Terese. We learn that Terese has had a brainwave for the event.
TERESE: So, how can we have a wedding expo without an actual wedding?
PAUL: What - you want to hold a real-life ceremony?
TERESE: Yeah, with people actually watching. All expenses paid for, including the honeymoon.
Paul and Mark seem impressed with the idea, and Lucy thinks it will bring in the crowds.
LUCY: We're gonna do more than one. Let's do five.
EVERYONE: Five?!
LUCY: Five weddings, all of them different.
Lucy says she's already found one couple - Gary and Prue!
TERESE: Oh, no - I mean, they just got engaged.
PAUL: That situation, it's complicated.
But Lucy explains how she overheard Gary waxing lyrical about Prue at the bar earlier, and declares that his enthusiasm is 'so marketable'. Paul and Terese look unsure.
Ramsay Street
Paul, Terese and Lucy are still discussing making Gary and Prue a highlight of the expo as they arrive back at home. Paul thinks it's a bad idea, and Terese is worried it could hurt Harlow.
LUCY: Oh, Harlow's fine - they're getting married eventually, and we can't pass up on this opportunity!
Lucy spots Gary across the road, and rushes over to run the idea past him!
LUCY: How would you like an all-expenses-paid wedding at Lassiter's?
No 26
Gary is telling Prue all about Lucy's proposal. All expenses are paid, he explains, provided they tie the knot at Lassiter's the week after next!
GARY: Nah, that's too soon, isn't it? Forget I said anything. I have a really bad history of fast-tracking weddings.
PRUE: Well, that's because you weren't married to the right woman!
GARY: Are you actually considering this?
PRUE: Well, it's not like either of us have got any money.
GARY: What about Harlow? We can't get married without her.
PRUE: But if we set a date, it just shows our commitment.
GARY: What, and you think she'd come round?
PRUE: Once she realises how genuine we are, she has to!
GARY: Okay, then, let's do this thing - let's get married!
PRUE: I love it!
They hug, and he slaps her on the behind, causing much laughter!
No 32
Elly gets back from her errands to find Finn on the sofa looking after Aster.
FINN: I feel so much better being around her.
Finn passes Aster to Elly, and as they become physically close there's a moment of awkwardness between them.
ELLY: I think you should go.
FINN: Are you sure? I mean, I could stay and sit with her for a bit longer. You could take a nap - you must be exhausted.
ELLY: I just - I think that you should go. This is really dangerous. We've agreed to this; it's hard enough to know that you're coming to the island.
FINN: You're right - sorry. I'll go.
Finn glances back sadly at a worried Elly before he goes.
The Waterhole
Roxy is asking Harlow how long Prue and Gary's engagement will be.
ROXY: I want to make a play for bridesmaid, and I need to know the timeframe I'm working with.
HARLOW: Yeah, look, I wouldn't really worry about it. Mum's known you just as long as she's known Gary, actually, so you'll be fine.
Bea appears with shopping bags, and Roxy correctly guesses there are 'island goodies' in them. Bea shows off a 'B' bracelet she's bought, and Karl appears, remarking on how expensive it was.
KARL: I told her she could've got it cheaper if she just made it from shells on the beach.
Harlow goes to the bar to order some chips, and gets talking to Kyle and Sheila about the engagement - all of them are keen to stop it, but Harlow isn't sure they can.
HARLOW: But we can commiserate. We're in this together, right?
SHEILA: Yeah, but I haven't given up the fight just yet.
KYLE: Yeah, I'm still hoping that they realise it's a mistake.
Sheila hopes that Prue gets sick of Gary soon; Harlow says she may do, if it's a long engagement.

Finn is looking pensively at the framed photo from Aster's naming day - of him, Elly, Bea, Aster, Susan and Karl. Bea comes in loudly (with Susan), and Finn hangs his head at the sound of her! She excitedly shows him the boardies she's procured for him, and he couldn't be less interested. An atmosphere descends, and Bea goes to put them through the wash. Susan looks judgy.
SUSAN: You're going through a lot right now, but you have to be mindful of other people. Bea was trying to do something nice for you today.
FINN: Yeah, I know that. I've got a lot on my mind, Susan.
SUSAN: Of course, but that doesn't mean you get so caught up in anger at the people who've let you down that you take it out on the people who never will! People like Bea!
FINN: .... It's a real struggle sometimes.
SUSAN: I know it is. But you've got to find a way to let it go, Finn. You've got to find a way to move on. Maybe you could talk to Dr Bowman, or to David.
FINN: I don't think that would help.
SUSAN: Then you've got to think about what will help.
She touches his arm reassuringly.
SUSAN: There's always a way through, Finn.
Lassiter's
Mark Gottlieb is hanging out in the office again, when Lucy comes in. He's praying, and a slightly awkward Lucy apologises for interrupting.
MARK: I pray sometimes, is that okay?
LUCY: Yes, of course. You're a religious man. I understand. Do what you need.
Mark clocks that she's not quite comfortable, and mentions that she's been different with him the last couple of days.
MARK: Is it just the stress of the expo, or is something else going on?
LUCY: I really like you, Mark - and I was gonna ask you out earlier in the week. And then I started to think about Paige and Jack, and I had to stop myself.
MARK: I'm not a priest, Lucy! I never was.
LUCY: But you seem still hung up on it!
MARK: I put that behind me a long time ago. I was never cut out to be a priest. How about I show you how committed I am to living a non-celibate life?
He takes her hands, and kisses her on the lips. They fall into a pash.
No 28
In Finn's bedroom, he's doing another video diary.
FINN: Susan's right. I want to move on - I have to. What I really want is to forget again. Go back to normal. That's never gonna happen. I'm never gonna feel that way again. So, I have to get rid of the past. Anything to do with my old self, the old Finn, the old Patrick. That means finding the storage locker, and destroying everything in it. So it never comes back to bite me.
Finn makes a phone call to David.
FINN: I was wondering if you'd help me organise a visit with someone?
