Paige insists that she isn't trying to win Mark back, but Roxy doesn't believe her.

Terese comes in and asks what's going on. Roxy continues to insist that Paige is after Mark - and he doesn't deserve to be messed around by Paige.

ROXY: I'm not going to let you hurt him. So I'd watch your back, if I was you.

Police Station
Yashvi is picking out files to read for her police training. Toadie comes in and chats to her. Jane comes out and Yashvi excitedly asked her about the catfishing case. Jane isn't pleased that everyone apparently knows about the case!

Terese worries to Paul that Roxy might be right about Paige and Mark. Paul suggests that Terese gives Jack a ring to see what's going on, but she'd rather not go that far.

Paige comes down and tells them she's off for a run - with Mark! She reiterates to them that there's nothing going on with her and Mark.

Pierce brings Chloe a coffee. She is feeling bad about being demoted to assistant manager (from general manager)

Roxy and Mark come out of his room

ROXY: It's not that I don't like Paige, she just has this loud, obnoxious and in-your-face vibe.
MARK: Right. So it's like looking in a mirror(!)

He assures Roxy that there's nothing going on with him and Paige. Just then, Paige turns up. Mark goes off to get changed for their run. Roxy rolls her eyes.

ROXY: She is not subtle at all! She's clearly trying to make a play for him!

Outside Harold's Café
Jane tells Dipi off for gossiping to her family about the catfishing case. Dipi admits they might have overheard her talking to Shane about it and apologises.

Just then, Paul comes along. He asks Jane why she hasn't answered his calls and asks her for an update. He says he's sure his PI will be able to sort it out, but Jane will have to provide information to him about bank details etc. She grumps off, embarrassed.

Harold's Café
Mark and Paige stop in for a drink during their run. Mark tells her that Roxy did help him when he was feeling down.

Terese comes in and invites Paige to brunch at The Waterhole. She asks her straight out if there's a problem with Jack. Paige tells her to "leave it"

Lassiter's Reception
Pierce and Chloe come in. Terese asks Chloe to take some folders over to The Waterhole.

Paul comes over and says the Wedding Expo needs reigning in. Terese thinks it's still salvagable and goes off to look into it, leaving Chloe looking sad.

Lassiter's Complex
Toadie and Yashvi are looking at case files. They chat about how they need to keep things confidential in both their work roles.

Yashvi sees a nice car and admires it. Then she looks thoughtful.

The Waterhole
Chloe comes in with the folders from Terese and asks Roxy to put them in the office.

Paige comes in and Roxy immediately goes over and asks how her run was. Paige ignores this and asks for a menu, but Roxy won't let it drop.

PAIGE: Listen, I know you're still in to Mark, but having this conversation every time I see you is tedious.
ROXY: I'm not in to Mark, and even if I was, I wouldn't be worried about you.

Paige gets up and says she'll have brunch somewhere else.

Back at the bar, Roxy tells Chloe that Paige and Jack are going through a rough patch. Chloe looks shocked.

Lassiter's Complex
Yashvi tells Toadie that she saw a criminal from the case files in a fancy car. Toadie says maybe she's just seeing things.

Harold's Café
Terese apologises for asking about Jack. Paige admits that something is wrong, but she's not really sure herself.

PAIGE: It has never been plain sailing for us. It took a few months for us to even move in together when we got to Queensland. And when we did, we were happy. And then, after a few months, Jack just pulled away. There's been literally zero action in the bedroom, and he spends most of his time now on his computer.
TERESE: Doing what?
PAIGE: He says, 'talking to a friend'
TERESE: You don't think he's having an affair do you?
PAIGE: I have been trying *so* hard, and it is getting nowhere. Even the fact that I think he *is* having and affair...I'm not even angry.
TERESE: Well...maybe that *is* telling you something.

Outside Harold's Café
Paul asks Dipi how Jane could be so easily fooled. Jane comes up and overhears this and is very cross.

JANE: Do you know how I was fooled? Because I was *lonely*, Paul. And I'm not talking just a little bit lonely, I'm talking heart-breaking, gut-wrenching, life-isn't-worth-living kind of lonely. And all that money I had didn't mean a thing if I didn't have anyone to share it with.
PAUL: Yeah, I do understand that.
JANE: And now I am broke, embarrassed and ashamed. And the only thing worse than being a sad, pathetic fool, is knowing that everyone else thinks so too.

Rotunda
Terese finds Jane sitting sadly. Terese reassures her that she'll get through this and also find love again. Jane doesn't think so though. She says she's squandered all her previous relationships and gave up too easily. Terese says Jane must fight for herself - for her dignity and her pride.

Outside Lassiter's
Mark, Pierce and Toadie are going cycling. Mark asks about Dee.

MARK: I'm happily single and resigned to the fact that I may never have a family.
TOADIE: What?! You've got plenty of time!

They head off for a cycle.

Lassiter's Reception
Jane is making up with Paul and Dipi. She says it's time she got over her embarrassment. They assure her that the only person who should be embarrassed is the guy who stole off her. She hands Paul an envelope with a print of all the messages between her and Richard, and her bank details, to pass on to the PI. She is ready to fight to get her money back.

Ramsay Street
Mark and Pierce arrive back, but Toadie is still doing laps!

Chloe greets them and tells Mark that she's heard Paige and Jack are having problems. Mark looks shocked but says he's not getting involved and goes off inside.

Pierce tells Chloe that she shouldn't get involved either, but Chloe says it could be Mark's big chance!

PIERCE: He told me this morning that he was happy being single.
CHLOE:(scoffs) Oh, Mark is *never* happy being single!

Pierce tells her she should concentrate on other things.

PIERCE: Years ago, I bought an island off the coast.
CHLOE: Oh...OK!(!)
PIERCE: It's abandoned, I picked it up as a bargain and I haven't worked out what to do with it.
CHLOE: How have you never mentioned this? I love islands!
PIERCE: I know! That's why I'm giving it to you!
CHLOE: What?!
PIERCE: Just work some of your Chloe-magic, you know, it needs something special. It could be a resort, or a place for a music festival...whatever you want.
CHLOE: Pierce, if you feel bad for me, you don't have to give me an island! A new pair of Jimmy Choos would be just fine(!)
PIERCE: I don't feel bad for you, alright, I believe in you. So do you want it or not?

Roxy comes in and Pagie is surprised that she doesn't start hassling her about Mark(!)

ROXY: I think I've said enough.

She heads upstairs. Paige goes off to meet Ned for the afternoon, to catch up.

When Paige has gone, Terese tells Paul that she's talked to Jack on the phone. He's flying down and is going to be here later today!
