Number 28
Elly is committed to remaining jovial in the face of adversity, asking Finn to be her model for a baby sling she can't work out how to wear. Finn is uncomfortable being in close proximity to her, but Elly says they can't let what Claudia said affect them, "It's absolute nonsense." Finn has no other choice than to agree and help Elly with the sling. They're laughing about the contraption when Bea returns from her walk. Finn asks Bea if she wants to join in. But Bea is still rattled by her conversation with Claudia and seeing Finn and Elly enjoying each other's company doesn't help.

Number 24
Yashvi apologises for interrupting Chloe and Pierce's meeting with Toadie, but she's there to resign from Lassiters. She had a great time in the role but now she wants to focus on her police entrance exam. When Yashvi leaves, Chloe says it's a shame she quit - she was hoping the nearness to Ned would push the lovebirds back together. Toadie doesn't believe Yashvi and Ned want to be a couple again, though, and Pierce says Yashvi's focus looks to be on joining the cops. But Chloe just scoffs and shakes her head, "You two; absolutely clueless."

Harold's Café
Amy stresses about David's infection not clearing but Leo says they all need to keep the faith that a donor will be found. Leo asks how everything is between Amy and Kyle at the moment, especially the issue of having kids. Amy says that having children is a huge commitment and the way her and Kyle are right now, "I don't think we'd make it." She hopes the "couple time" she's planned for them tonight will help get them back on track.

Number 32
Kyle is edgy as he leaves a voicemail for Jimmy, asking him to call back. He's concerned about the way things were left between them after their last chat and wants to know if Jimmy's okay.

Community Centre
Ned shows Toadie a design for the wall in his sketchbook and Toadie is overcome with emotion with what he sees. He tells Ned the sketch is perfect and asks when he can start. Ned says he'll have to check in with Yashvi but is slightly disappointed to learn that she'll have other things keeping her occupied with her upcoming exam. Toadie's intrigued by Ned's regretful tone and Ned admits it's been nice having an excuse to hang out with his ex.

TOADIE: Is that because you think there might still be a chance between you two?
NED: Probably not. But at least we could still be friends.

He then hands Toadie a Christmas present he'd got for Yashvi a while back, but figures Toadie can auction off the football signed by AFLW player Moana Hope for the Foundation instead. Toadie thinks the gesture is too generous, but Ned doesn't want Yashvi to think it's a ploy to win her back if he gives it to her: "I don't want to put that pressure on her."

Number 28
Finn is now wearing the baby sling perfectly as Elly seems to have mastered the wrapping. Finn asks what Bea thinks and if she wants a turn, but Bea curtly says she doesn't want to intrude.

ELLY: Are you okay?
BEA: ... Is there something going on between you two?
ELLY: Claudia's said something to you, hasn't she! I knew that we should have told her.
BEA: Told me what?
FINN: It's nothing.
ELLY: No, Claudia has this idea that Finn and I should be together.
BEA: And what gave her that idea?
ELLY: Absolutely nothing. It's Claudia's fantasy that Finn and I bring up her grandchild.
FINN: Yeah, mum was way off base, wouldn't let it go. That's what we were arguing about.
BEA: But if you have nothing to hide, why wouldn't you just tell me that?
FINN: I didn't want to give it any oxygen. I promise it's nothing.

Bea takes a moment then sighs, calling herself an idiot for paying any attention to Claudia's apparent nonsense. Bea says she saw Claudia before she left because she just wanted to help, but Finn tells her not to let Claudia get in her head.

Number 32
Amy laughs at Kyle as he slurps up the dinner she bought from Harold's. Kyle thanks her for the grub and Amy says it's a thank you for being so understanding about her not wanting to have a baby right now. She tells him they just need to focus on them and rebuild the trust and honesty. While Kyle gathers the takeaway containers to clean up, Amy tries to call Jimmy again but gets his voicemail. Kyle stresses while Amy leaves her son another message to call her back.

Kyle finds Leo in the kitchen and asks if he's spoken to Liam in the past few days. Leo says no then asks why, dismayed when Kyle admits he phoned Jimmy. Kyle just wanted to know what was up with the teen and try and get to the bottom of his troubles.

LEO: You were the one to convince me to leave it up to Liam.
KYLE: Yes, but, I figured if I could help sort things out then I could get Jimmy over and Amy would see how much she loves being a mum.
LEO: (sighing) You're not still going on about that. You've got to take Amy's lead on the baby thing; don't push it.
KYLE: Well it's a bit late now isn't it! When I spoke to Jimmy he was being a little tool, so I tried to understand why but I lost my patience.
LEO: Oh mate, you're not his dad.
KYLE: All I said was 'pull your head in'. Now he's not answering my calls.
LEO: Well whatever he's going through you've obviously made it worse!

Leo says that Kyle needs to tell Amy before she hears from Jimmy. Kyle isn't keen, "If Amy knew she'd blast me." He uneasily adds that after everything he's put her through lately, he's not sure if their relationship would survive it. But Leo bluntly reiterates that if Amy hears the news from Jimmy first, "you guys are definitely done."

Number 28
Elly asks Finn if Bea's okay and Finn nods, saying that they talked things through. Elly says they haven't done anything wrong but Finn knows that them spending time together because of Shaun's absence, plus the Claudia debacle, has affected Bea.

ELLY: Your support has been amazing but you can't neglect Bea.
FINN: I know. That's why now with mum gone I'm going to put Bea first.
ELLY: (smiling) I'm sure she'll really appreciate that.
FINN: Just so you know, I still want to be there for you. I mean, I will, I always will.

Elly laughs, telling Finn it's hard to take him seriously when he still has the baby sling wrapped around him. She knows he's genuine in what he says, though, and she'll forever be grateful for that.

Lassiters Complex
The next morning, Chloe happily reports to Pierce that plans for the Christmas concert are all falling into place. Pierce leaves to hang out with Hendrix while Chloe meets up with Toadie out the front of the hotel. Toadie tells her about his charity auction idea and shows her the autographed football Ned gave him, but Chloe's taken aback when she learns it was originally a present for Yashvi.

CHLOE: Sweet baby cheeses that is so romantic. No way we are taking it! Ned abso-flipping-lutely has to give that to Yashvi!
TOADIE: But they've broken up?
CHLOE: But it's such a thoughtful gift. And it will totally make her rethink her decision.
TOADIE: Even if I wanted to, Ned seemed pretty sure that he didn't want to push it.
CHLOE: (rolling her eyes) Because Nedwardo is a big, fat scaredy-cat.
TOADIE: ... Of Shane. And for good reason, which means that he has to stay away from Vi.
CHLOE: But that ball was always meant for her. And trust me, if she got it, the romance would reignite. (Softly) You and I both know that time isn't everyone's friend. And if you find someone you love you don't want to waste a second of it.

Toadie's stance on the matter looks as though it could be shifting.

Number 28/Backyard
Bea walks into the dining area to find a gift-wrapped box on the table. She picks up the note (with earrings attached to it) that says, 'Bea, Put me on then follow the music'. Inside the box is a red formal dress. Once aptly attired, Bea follows the sound of the classical music into the backyard to find Finn standing there in a suit, holding a red rose. They grin at each other and Finn invites her to dance with him. They sway around for a while and Finn tells her she's his number one, apologising if she hasn't felt like it lately.

FINN: I promise I won't let it happen again.
BEA: We spoke about this at the wedding and I know how much you've been going through, I just hope that I haven't made you feel guilty about that.
FINN: No, you've been so patient. And you deserve so much more from me.

Elly wanders into the backyard, but hides behind the greenhouse, not wanting to intrude on their moment.

FINN: Starting from today I'm going to give you, and us, everything I've got.
BEA: I love you.
FINN: And I love you.

They kiss. Elly smiles from her hiding spot, happy her sister and Finn are working things out, but then she gets a slightly wistful look on her face.

Number 30
Toadie is arranging a pile of Christmas presents on the table when Yashvi walks in. He asks how the study for the exam is going.

YASHVI: (grinning) Did you know that it's illegal to sing an offensive song in public?
TOADIE: Offensive as in bad language, or as in anything from Karl Kennedy?

Toadie then asks Yashvi to pop the presents under the tree for him as he's running late for work. Yashvi sighs as her uncle heads out the door but is intrigued by the first gift card she picks up that says, 'To Yashvi, From one star to another. Ned x' She opens the box to find the autographed footy but doesn't appear too happy.

Lassiters Complex
Ned is sitting in front of the blank wall near the Community Centre, looking through his sketchbook, when Yashvi storms up to him in annoyance. Ned's confused about why she's irritated with him at first, but then realises she's received the football without him knowing.

NED: I didn't give that to you.
YASHVI: Oh so someone else just signed it 'Ned' did they?
NED: Well they must...
YASHVI: And don't pretend it was just some magical Christmas fairy because it's not cute it's just annoying! I'm annoyed.
NED: I'm sorry, all right, but it must have been...
YASHVI: You should be! I'm trying really hard to move on and it's very difficult when you're trying to be all considerate and nice.
NED: ... Okay?
YASHVI: It's confusing. I don't want to be confused. So don't give me presents, got it?
NED: Got it.
YASHVI: Good!
NED: Good!

Ned is flummoxed until he sees Toadie loitering in the background looking guilty. He chases him into the Community Centre wanting answers.

Number 28
Finn busts Bea taking a present from under the Christmas tree but Bea wanted to give him something in return after the dress and earrings. Finn opens the present and sees that Bea has made them their very own couple's photo album.

BEA: When that photo album of yours and Elly's turned up I saw how interested you were in all of those memories.
FINN: Because I couldn't remember them.
BEA: Yeah but that's why I thought we should create out own. So nothing between us ever gets lost or forgotten.

He flips through the album and smiles at the photos, particularly a photo from when they went on a date to a Korean BBQ restaurant. Bea is aware they've been a little out of sync lately, and she's to blame as well, but she wants them to focus on making more memories together. Finn thanks her and says the gift is perfect, giving her a kiss.

Lassiters Complex
Toadie's in apology mode, offering to buy Ned breakfast to somewhat make up for things, but Ned says he thinks Toadie's done enough already. Toadie says that someone convinced him that getting the football to Yashvi would help the duo patch things up. But Ned says it's actually made things a whole lot worse, which is exactly what he thought would happen. Ned can see Toadie's genuinely cut up about hurting him, though, and says it was a good effort, but things between him and Yashvi are over.

Number 32 Backyard
Kyle has made Amy a nice brekkie, including French toast, which immediately makes her suspicious. She cuts to the chase and asks why he's buttering her up. Kyle admits that their talk about trust and honesty last night got him thinking. Amy is wary.

KYLE: I do have something to tell you.
AMY: This is about not having a baby yet, isn't it? You're not as okay as you made out.
KYLE: Well, yes and no. I just wanted to help remind you that having a little tacker running around would be great. So I did something you're probably not going to like...

But his confession is interrupted when Leo rushes out to tell Amy he just spoke to Liam and found out that Jimmy is missing. The colour drains from Amy's face.

Number 30
Toadie arrives home to find Yashvi asleep on the couch, cuddling the football from Ned. He smiles to himself.

Ramsay Street
Back in his regular clothes, Finn collects the rubbish bins from the front to take back to the house. On his way, he throws out Elly's photo album he'd been holding onto.

Number 32 Backyard
Amy tries to call Jimmy again but he's still not answering. She's on the verge of tears, stressed that something has happened to him. Leo tries to assure her that Jimmy will be fine but Amy tells him not to try and make her feel better. She asks how long something has been troubling her son and Leo is sheepish, replying it's been a little while now.

AMY: Why didn't you tell me?
LEO: Liam said he had it under control.
AMY: Yeah, great, and look how that's turned out. Liam's been parenting for what? A year? I'm his mother, Leo; you should have said something!

The guilt gets to Kyle and he jumps in, telling Amy it isn't Leo's fault, it's his.

KYLE: I told Leo not to worry you with Jimmy. I wanted to handle it.
AMY: What? Why?
KYLE: You already had so much going on I thought I could help.
AMY: What did you do?
KYLE: We all thought that he was just going through a typical teenage rebellion so I gave him a call.
AMY: And what did you say?
KYLE: Just a bit of tough love. Told him to pull his socks up, that sort of thing. But then things got heated between us. I've been trying to call him back to apologise but I haven't been able to reach him.
AMY: So you blow up at Jimmy without having any idea what he's going through? This is your fault he's missing.

Kyle looks crushed.
