Lassiter's
Donovan Ridley, the shonky security guy who Paul has brought in on the down-low to check out the secret camera situation, is with Paul and Terese in the office - and amusedly remarks that Paul's got himself into trouble again. He explains that the camera records in two ways - onto an SD card or via Wi-Fi. There's no card in it, so Terese asks if someone could have been receiving Wi-Fi data.
Erinsborough Police Station
Amy has followed Kyle into the station, where he's waiting to talk to someone. Amy begs him to wait until they get more info from Paul's security people - but Kyle's feeling is that a crime has been committed, and the cops should be dealing with it.
AMY: We don't even know if there is any footage. If there is, I don't want the police watching us.
KYLE: Babe, I'd hate that too. But if that camera has been recording, and that footage gets online, how bad's that gonna be? You know it's the right thing to do.
Lassiter's
Donovan Ridley tells Paul and Terese that the Wi-Fi transmitter in the camera is 'fried', meaning no-one could receive footage from the camera now as it looks to have been 'kaput for a while', though 'they may have at some time'. Terese is relieved, and goes to call Amy to let her know. Paul and Donovan head for the other rooms to do a full sweep and ensure no other cameras are present.
Erinsborough Police Station
Amy is still trying to persuade Kyle to hang fire, but he says it's not just about them - it affects so many other people. But Amy says they should at least wait till they speak to Terese.

Dipi and Shane are helping Yashvi prepare for the Be You Ball in the kitchen, while Mackenzie is chatting to Grant in the living room. They're starting to connect a bit, as she talks to him about her schoolwork. But they soon run out of things to say. Eventually...
MACKENZIE: You know it's the school dance tonight?
GRANT: Yeah?
MACKENZIE: Well, there's gonna be this thing. It's a father-daughter dance, and some kids are bringing their grandfathers - and others are bringing, like, a male role model instead. But I just thought that maybe, if you wanted to, you could come, and, err... dance with me?
GRANT: Oh, er... I dunno about that.
MACKENZIE: Okay. If you really don't want to...
GRANT: No, it's not a no. Just... just let me think about it, okay?
Mackenzie agrees. Grant heads off to let the girls get ready.
DIPI: That was so brave, asking your dad to the dance.
MACKENZIE: I mean, if he really didn't want to come, he would've said 'no' straight away. So at least he's considering it.
YASHVI: Yeah, but a bit annoying, cos now you're not gonna stop thinking about it till he decides.
DIPI: Shut up, Yashvi!
Dipi reminds Shane that he needs to hunt out his own suit if he's going to dance with Yashvi at the ball.
SHANE: I don't know if I'm still invited.
YASHVI: Why, because we had a fight?
SHANE: Yeah. Didn't know if you'd still be in the mood. Plus you've just broken up with Ned.
YASHVI: Well, (a) I'm not gonna let a guy ruin that, and (b) I told you about this weeks ago. So you can't ditch just because we had an argument.
SHANE: Great. So that's a 'yes', is it?
YASHVI: You're so annoying. Yes, it's a yes!
SHANE: Right. Cool.
Even Mackenzie smiles.
The Waterhole
Amy has managed to drag Kyle away from the police station, but he's still very much in two minds, even now Terese has confirmed there was nothing stored on the camera. Amy thinks they should talk to Paul and Terese about it again.
Meanwhile, Pierce and Hendrix are having a strained dad-son chat at another table. Everything Pierce says is eliciting contemptuous responses from Hendrix.
PIERCE: So, have you made any new friends?
HENDRIX: (sighs)
PIERCE: Enjoying your classes?
HENDRIX: Everyone's too obsessed with the Be You Ball to worry about their work.
PIERCE: When's this ball?
HENDRIX: It's tonight.
PIERCE: Why didn't you say anything?
HENDRIX: I dunno.
PIERCE: Well, are you going? Do you need a suit, or... have you got a date?
HENDRIX: It's under control, okay? I've hired something. It's all good.
PIERCE: Can I do anything?
HENDRIX: Nope.
Hendrix rushes off to get ready. Pierce sees that Susan, who has been at the bar waiting for a coffee, is just leaving, and mentions the ball to her. She's looking forward to it, but when Pierce makes a comment about Hendrix staying out of trouble, she mentions they're one down on the parental chaperones - so if Pierce wants to keep an eye on Hendrix, he could fill in and come along.

Terese has joined Shane and Dipi to get photos of the girls in their ball dresses - and soon enough, Harlow, Yashvi and Mackenzie all emerge to show off their costumes. They've all had a fun time getting ready, and are looking forward to the ball. Harlow wants to do crazy dance-offs, but Yashvi reminds her that Lacy Lane is the queen of the dancefloor and she'll struggle to compete.
YASHVI (to Mackenzie): Besides, aren't you gonna be with Hendrix?
MACKENZIE: Not all night.
Dipi tells Yashvi that she hopes she won't let what's happened with Ned ruin things tonight - she wants to see at least one photo with a smile. At which point Grant turns up, all suited and booted.
MACKENZIE: You've decided to come!
GRANT: Well, I'm not dressed up in this gear for a beer and a parma!
SHANE: Yeah, good on ya, mate - you've made her night.
Yashvi, Mackenzie and Harlow all head off to a pre-party, and Grant sticks around to hang out with the parents. Terese asks Dipi who else will be at the pre-party; Dipi says it's just a few of the girls like Lacy and her sister Olivia, and she's sure it won't get out of hand.
Lassiter's
However, little do the parents know, the pre-party has actually been organised by Hendrix - who is wearing the most hideous white-and-black-spotted jacket - in one of the hotel rooms. Yashvi, Harlow and Mackenzie turn up, and he immediately offers them vodka and orange. Yashvi indulges, but Harlow and Mackenzie turn down the alcohol.
HARLOW: You should pass around some finger food - otherwise someone's gonna pass out in a bathtub.
But Hendrix says people can just order room service if they're hungry, so Yashvi rushes over to the phone with Harlow to do exactly that.
HENDRIX: Hey, you should come to my after-party here later on.
MACKENZIE: Great! I'll tell the girls; they'll definitely be up for it.
HENDRIX: Do you have to? I don't really want buzzkills hanging around.
MACKENZIE: Oh.
Yashvi, having ordered nachos, then raises a toast. Hendrix shoots Mackenzie a charming smile, and she smiles back.
The Pavilion
The Be You Ball is getting underway, and Hendrix, Mackenzie, Harlow and Yashvi arrive. Susan greets them at the door.
SUSAN (to Hendrix): Woah, that's quite a jacket!
HENDRIX: This old thing?
Shane and Dipi are also on hand as chaperones, and ask the girls how the pre-party went; Yashvi says it was nothing too crazy.
HARLOW: Yeah, we just talked and...
MACKENZIE: ... played Cluedo!
DIPI: Sounds fun!
SHANE: Oh! Who did it with what, where?
YASHVI: Shut up, Dad.
SHANE: Good point.
Meanwhile, teachers Cherie (AKA NotElly™) and Marty are briefing Pierce on the key priority for the evening, which is not to let the kids drink alcohol.
MARTY: Especially your son and his date. I mean, no offence.
Pierce hadn't realised Hendrix had a date, so Marty points out Mackenzie for him. Hendrix is nearby, not-very-surreptitiously diluting his soft drink with vodka! Harlow and Yashvi want to take some pictures, but Mackenzie stops to talk to Hendrix about the after-party.
MACKENZIE: I don't think it's a good idea. I mean, if my friends aren't invited -
HENDRIX: Relax, okay? I'm not gonna pressure you into doing anything, if that's what you're worried about.
MACKENZIE: Yashvi and Harlow have been so good since I started at school, and I don't think it's right to not spend tonight with them.
HENDRIX: You're *my* date, remember? We're meant to be hanging out together.
MACKENZIE: Yeah, I know. And I'll spend heaps of time with you, too...
Hendrix is not especially pleased as Mackenzie goes to join the girls for photos. He looks over to where Lacy Lane and her sister Olivia ('Liv') are dancing. He makes eye contact with Liv, and they smile at one another flirtatiously.
Gary is In This Episode™, and turns up to tell Susan that he has all the food ready, and the gluten-free and dairy stuff is labelled.
GARY: I remember when these things used to be party pies and sausage rolls in the gym!
Gary exits as promptly as he arrived!
Dipi asks Shane if she's heard from Grant, as he should be here by now. But Shane hasn't; he was in the car behind them but seems to have gone AWOL. Susan says there's still time for Grant to show.
Meanwhile, Hendrix has become very flirtatious with Liv, and is whispering sweet nothings in her ear. Annoyed on Mackenzie's behalf, Pierce intervenes and pulls him away.
PIERCE: Shouldn't you be with your date?
HENDRIX: Shouldn't you be anywhere else?
PIERCE: You're being rude to Mackenzie.
HENDRIX: I know what I'm doing. Just leave me alone.
No 22
Amy and Kyle have been called round to discuss the camera; Paul tells them it's one of Ryan Prescott's devices, judging by its age, but it can't have been recording so there's nothing to worry about. But Kyle is annoyed that Ryan is still out there and got away with all this. Terese assures them that Ryan doesn't have any footage of anyone, or they'd have heard about it years ago.
TERESE: Come on, Kyle. Surely there's nothing to be gained by going to the police.
PAUL: Kyle, you're making a mountain out of a molehill, come on!
AMY: Look, I just want to move on and forget about this, okay?
KYLE: Look, if you're positive that there's no new footage - and babe, you're truly okay with this - I'll drop it.
Paul and Terese look relieved.
The Pavilion
Marty Muggleton is busy policing amorous couples at the dance, while Lacy shows off her dance skills. Hendrix is still flirting with Liv, in full view of Mackenzie and the others. Meanwhile, Shane goes to call Grant, who still hasn't shown up. He doesn't answer, so Shane leaves a message.
Hendrix has taken Liv to one side, and is now pashing her. Yashvi and Harlow are unimpressed on a crestfallen Mackenzie's behalf.
YASHVI: Boys suck.
HARLOW: He's not getting away with this.
MACKENZIE: Wait!
But Harlow has already stormed over to confront Hendrix. Mr Muggleton gets there first, interrupting his pash with Liv.
MARTY: I want you one foot apart at all times, alright?
As Muggleton walks off, Harlow approaches.
HARLOW: You're a pig.
HENDRIX: Hello to you, too.
HARLOW: How dare you treat Mackenzie like that?
LIV: Let's get out of here - this is too much drama.
HARLOW: If you're going to hook up with somebody, why can't it be your own date?
LIV: Wow - like that's any of your business?
HENDRIX: Yeah. Someone sounds a bit jealous.
LIV: Yeah, you obsessed much?
HARLOW: Ugh. You can't be serious.
HENDRIX: Chill, there's plenty to go around!
Hendrix grabs Harlow by the face and gives her an unsolicited kiss on the lips. An outraged Harlow responds by slapping him hard! Pierce storms in, demanding to know what's going on - but Hendrix is too busy looking pleased with himself to respond. Mackenzie and Yashvi look worried.
Harold's Café
Shane comes in, and finds Grant sitting at a table in his suit. He tells him he'll miss the father-daughter dance if he doesn't come now, but Grant isn't budging.
GRANT: I'm sorry, mate - I can't.
SHANE: What are you talking about? You told Mackenzie you'd be there; you can't back out now, she'd be devastated.
GRANT: I know... I'm not that guy.
SHANE: What? The guy who loves his kid and keeps his promises to her? You're not that guy?
GRANT: I can't dance with my son in a father-daughter dance. It's... it's wrong.
SHANE: No. You can't go back on your word. Don't do this to her, mate.
GRANT: I'm not gonna change my mind.
SHANE: Well, at least talk to her - explain it. She deserves that much.
GRANT: Hey, I know I'm not winning any father-of-the-year awards here. But you'll have to do it for me. You say it right.
SHANE: Don't do this.
GRANT: I'm going back to Barham.
SHANE: No.
Shane stands in his way.
GRANT: Tell him... Tell *her* I'm sorry.
Shane reluctantly moves aside, and lets Grant leave. Shane looks upset.
The Pavilion
Susan is giving Hendrix a telling-off for kissing Harlow without her consent. Pierce stands by.
SUSAN: That is completely unacceptable.
HENDRIX: It was meant to be a joke.
PIERCE: It wasn't funny!
SUSAN: No - no, it wasn't! And there will be serious consequences!
HENDRIX: Oh, like what?
SUSAN: I will think about that and I'll let you know.
HENDRIX: Whatever.
Pierce loses his temper and bawls at Hendrix.
PIERCE: What is wrong with you?! Alright, you hate school, you hate me - but you are being a little jerk, and I'm sick of it!
Hendrix looks momentarily upset, as Susan encourages Pierce to go and get some air.
SUSAN: Your dad will calm down, but he's struggling with your behaviour.
HENDRIX: Oh, like I care.
SUSAN: Everybody came here tonight to have a good time. These students have been working hard all year; they deserve to have some fun. Don't make this all about you.
HENDRIX: Harlow started this whole thing. She got in my face about Liv.
SUSAN: And you reacted appallingly. You know you did! Hendrix, I understand - it's hard being the new kid. But you have got to do *much* better.
Meanwhile, Dipi is comforting a sad-looking Yashvi, who's evidently thinking about Ned. Shane turns up, and tells Dipi that Grant isn't coming. Shane wants to go and tell Mackenzie, but Dipi says she'll do it; it's better coming from her, and Yashvi needs her dad right now. Shane goes over to cheer up Yashvi, who admits she's really missing Ned.
SHANE: Course you do. Just remember, though - you're a hell of a human being. This break-up is Ned's loss.
YASHVI: You have to say that; you're my dad.
SHANE: I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true.
Shane hugs Yashvi. They watch Dipi talking to Mackenzie; Shane explains to Yashvi that Grant's not coming. Mackenzie looks devastated.
Cherie takes the microphone and announces that it's time for the father-daughter dance. Shane prepares to take Yashvi to the dance-floor, but she points at Mackenzie instead, saying Shane should dance with her.
SHANE: You sure?
YASHVI: A hundred per cent.
Mackenzie is still talking to Dipi.
MACKENZIE: I just thought that once he'd spent some time with me, he'd see how much happier I am.
DIPI: I think he knows. He just doesn't know how to handle it.
SHANE: Mackenzie... May I have this dance?
Mackenzie hesitates, but then takes Shane's hand, and he twirls her around. Realising Yashvi must have encouraged Shane to dance with Mackenzie, Dipi goes over to Yashvi and hugs her.
YASHVI: Care to join me?
So Yashvi dances with her mum instead, while Mackenzie forgets her troubles dancing with Shane.

Paul tells Terese he's impressed with the way she handled the initial camera scandal a few years ago.
TERESE: Dunno. Made some questionable deals with Ryan and Tim Collins.
PAUL: Yeah, but the story never broke, did it? And you managed to keep it very quiet.
TERESE: What, and let you have one over me? You'd have loved that.
PAUL: It's a good thing we're on the same team now, isn't it?
TERESE: Yeah. Part of me still feels guilty, though. I mean, what if Kyle's right?
PAUL: What, you think we should go to the police?
TERESE: ... It's just, the hotel guests had no idea they were being filmed. They could've ended up online.
PAUL: Yeah, but they didn't. And you managed to destroy all the footage that Ryan had. And besides, if something was gonna come out about it, it'd have happened ages ago. Look, our focus now is just to make sure that there are no more cameras. Then we can put this whole damn thing to bed, okay?
Terese doesn't object, but looks unsure.
A room somewhere
We see the shadow of a figure sitting down in front of a laptop. The figure pushes an SD card into the laptop, and a window containing a movie file pops up. The figure clicks on it, and we see a video of Amy and Kyle collapsing onto the bed in the hotel room, before falling into a pash. We then see them begin to undress each other. Shortly afterwards, they're in bathrobes, kissing...
The Pavilion
The teens, teachers and chaperones continue to enjoy themselves at the dance. Hendrix is evidently a bit merry, and is back at the party, dancing away to himself.
It's time to announce the prizes, and Mr Muggleton prepares to award the prize of Best Dancer.
SHANE: Ooh, might've ruined your chances of winning that one.
MACKENZIE: Yeah, probably!
SHANE: Cheeky.
The winner is announced as Lacy Lane, who comes up to collect her certificate.
YASHVI: No surprise there - she's like the Gen-Z Kate Bush.
Hendrix is now openly chugging vodka, and Pierce again intervenes, taking it off him.
PIERCE: I don't think so!
HENDRIX: Oh, great, it's you again (!)
PIERCE: You just got in trouble for what you did to Harlow, messed up your date with Mackenzie, and now you're drinking?!
HENDRIX: To be fair, I was, err, always drinking.
Pierce gets a call from Terese, and goes to take it.
PIERCE (on the phone): ... He did what?!
Harlow rejoins Yashvi and Mackenzie, looking a bit shaken. She apologises to Mackenzie for causing a scene with Hendrix; but Mackenzie says there's no need, as he deserved it. Meanwhile, Pierce is confronting Hendrix following his chat with Terese.
PIERCE: Did you book a hotel room at Lassiter's and have a party this afternoon?
HENDRIX: I wouldn't call it a party. I'd call it a gathering.
PIERCE: I don't care what you call it! Terese said you trashed the room and you racked up $870 in room service! Who the hell do you think you are - seriously?!
But before Hendrix can answer, Mr Muggleton interrupts in a timely fashion, by announcing another award.
MARTY: The prize for best dressed - Hendrix Greyson!
HENDRIX (to Pierce): We'll have to continue this later.
Hendrix goes to collect his certificate, while the girls give him death-stares. Hendrix takes the mic to make a speech, gesturing towards Pierce as he talks.
HENDRIX: Some of you may know my dad, Pierce Greyson. He looks like a good guy, right? But guess what - looks can be deceiving.
Muggleton tries to take the microphone back, but Hendrix dodges him.
HENDRIX: Even billionaires can be deadbeat dads.
PIERCE: Hendrix!
HENDRIX: You know, he doesn't give a stuff about his kids! Just his money. And he can get away with anything with a swipe of his black Amex!
PIERCE: You are coming with me!
But Hendrix is still talking as Pierce drags him away.
HENDRIX: And that's how he got his new girlfriend - he paid her to date him! What a loser!
Pierce pushes Hendrix out of the marquee, and turns to face the crowd. Everyone is staring at him.
Coming up on Neighbours
- Pierce asks Susan how he can fix his relationship with Hendrix; she has an idea (of course)
- Mackenzie tells Hendrix what he did was awful; he says, 'what do you expect? I'm not a nice guy'

- Elly and Shaun seem to be getting closer
