Number 30
Dee and Toadie kiss passionately but he eventually pulls away. He has flashbacks of Sonya and everything that happened with Andrea, causing him to run out of the house in a panic.

Number 28
Pierce asks Bea if she'd be interested to perform at the music festival and of course she's delighted. She asks who the headliners are but he says they're not confirmed yet but are shaping up to be pretty special. She thanks him and he replies that he'll be in touch with the details, before exiting. Finn walks in, asking if Bea knows where his runners are. She doesn't, but he notices how happy she is and asks what's going on. She tells him the good news and he's elated for her.

FINN: You're gonna smash it. And I'm gonna be beating off hoards of adoring fans.
BEA: I doubt it.
FINN: It's true. I know from experience the effect your voice has on people.
BEA: Oh really...? And what effect is that exactly?

They kiss passionately and she leads him towards the bedroom. He seems hesitant, worried that it might bring back some bad memories for her. She reassures him but he manages to kill the vibe completely.

BEA: Lets try this another time.

She walks into the bedroom alone and Finn looks awkward.

Lassiters Hotel
Pierce has just told Chloe that Hanson is performing at the music festival. She seems incredibly excited.

PIERCE: I take it you're a fan.
CHLOE: I was only vice-president of the Hanson fan club, Fanson! I had a massive poster of Zack above my bed, upon which I used to practise my kissing, and I completely wore out their live tour VHS, and I made Mark, Aaron and Tyler dress up as them and perform Mmmbop for me at my birthday party!
PIERCE: So what exactly is an mmmbop? I could never quite work it out.
CHLOE: Well Pierce, um, I'm glad you asked. An mmmbop is like a moment in time, a flash, a glimpse.
PIERCE: Ah, and I always thought it was just gibberish.
CHLOE: Mmmbop is actually a very deep song. It's about how everything in life is fleeting, so you have to seize the day and go after what you want. Or you might miss your chance.
PIERCE: And what's that supposed to mean?
CHLOE: Nothing, you just asked what the song was about and I'm just telling you.

Pierce jokes that they should go for a drink so she can give him a crash course on the rest but she politely declines, saying she has a busy week.

The Waterhole
Finn tells David about Bea getting rattled by a comment he made about her hair which reminded her of 'Patrick'. Finn admits that he panics every time they get close now, wondering if he'll trigger another memory for her. David reassures him, saying that building trust is important in every relationship.

Shane approaches Toadie who's sitting at another table. Dee has told Shane that Toadie rushed off.

TOADIE: We kissed.

Shane looks shocked, but tells Toadie that it's ok. Toadie asks if Dee's still back at the house but Shane says she's gone back to the Kennedys.

TOADIE: I should go and talk to her.

Number 28
Bea answers the door to Toadie who's looking for Dee. Bea tells him that she's gone, but has left a letter for him. He reads the letter.

TOADIE: She's gone.

Number 30
Toadie arrives home looking deflated. He looks at a picture of Sonya before sitting on the couch. He looks conflicted about his emotions.

Harold's Café (exterior)
Elly apologises to Chloe for overreacting when she defended her the other day. She admits that while she can't endorse Chloe for berating a school student like that, she's glad she's got her back.

CHLOE: I eat entitled little punks like him for breakfast.

Elly says she's enjoyed spending time with Chloe lately and she hopes they can continue to do that.

CHLOE: As friends, or...?
ELLY: Yes, Chloe, as friends (laughs)

They plan to meet for brunch later after Elly's finished some marking.

Byron Bay
Toadie approaches Dee who is sitting on the beach. She's surprised to see him.

DEE: Toadie. What are you doing here?
TOADIE: I got the first flight up this morning. You disappeared 16 years ago without a trace. I'm not gonna let that happen again.

The Waterhole
Shane leaves a voicemail for Toadie saying he hopes he got to Byron Bay ok. Chloe approaches him, asking for a favour.

CHLOE: I was just wondering if I could make a booking for brunch.

Shane looks round at the almost empty bar.

SHANE: I don't think you're gonna need to make a reservation.
CHLOE: I know, but I was wanting to do something a bit special. So I was wondering if I could book the couches, maybe get a few extra cushions. And get you to whip up some kind of delicious mocktail?

Shane jokes that Lassiters must have a big client coming to visit but Chloe tells him it's for Elly. He awkwardly jokes that she's a good friend, before saying that it shouldn't be a problem.

Byron Bay
Dee tells Toadie she shouldn't have kissed him.

TOADIE: All these thoughts came rushing into my head.
DEE: What thoughts?

He begins to well up.

TOADIE: ...Sonya...and you, and...Andrea. I don't know, it's just too much.
DEE: I know, and I pushed it. I told myself I wouldn't...
TOADIE: I think that we just need to pause and think about what's going on here.
DEE: I get it, I get it...Sonya was the love of your life.
TOADIE: You were too. You're now just getting your life back. You're now free to be the person that you always were without hiding from the past. Surely you need some time to adjust to that.
DEE: Maybe I spent so long regretting the past I just want to...tie it up in a neat little bow. I just...want to go back to where we were.
TOADIE: I still need time to grieve. And you need to get to know yourself. I don't think either of us are in a position to be anything more to each other than just friends.

She looks disheartened but agrees.

Number 28
Finn apologises for making things weird earlier but Bea doesn't want to talk about it. Instead she pulls him towards her, saying she'd like to play a game.

BEA: It's called...'Strip Away the Past'.
FINN: I'm intrigued...how do you play?
BEA: So the aim of the game is to say goodbye to the people we used to be.

He looks puzzled.

BEA: Ok, I'll go first...goodbye old Bea. To the one who never thought she was worthy of love.

She takes off one of her trainers.

BEA: And to the one who always felt like the black sheep of the family.

She takes off her other trainer.

BEA: Do you get it? (laughs)

FINN: I think so (laughs) ...Goodbye old Finn. The one who was always full of anger.

He takes off one of his shoes. Bea chuckles.

FINN: Goodbye to the guy who hurt the people he loved.

He takes off his other shoe. They continue to strip off while saying goodbye to aspects of their former selves, before engaging in a passionate embrace and heading to the bedroom.

The Waterhole
Chloe fusses over Elly who is enjoying her virgin daiquiri rather a lot. Chloe tells her that she got Shane to make it for her especially. They are soon interrupted by a phone call Elly receives from school.

ELLY: That was the acting principal. Apparently another parent is threatening to take their child out of school.
CHLOE: What? That's ridiculous.
ELLY: Yeah, I have to go and meet with the parent and figure out a way to talk them out of it.
CHLOE: Now?
ELLY: Yeah, I'm sorry to bail on you after you've gone to all this trouble.
CHLOE: Don't even, do what you need to do.
ELLY: I'll come back if there's time.
CHLOE: Yeah, don't stress, honestly, I'll be here.

Elly exits and Chloe looks disappointed.

Byron Bay
Toadie and Dee are walking along the beach chatting.

DEE: You're right. I'm avoiding all the things I still have to deal with. Everything I know about my life feels like it's been turned upside down. It's kind of scary to do it on my own.
TOADIE: You don't have to do it on your own. Just because now isn't the right time for us doesn't mean we have to cut each other out of our lives.
DEE: Do you think there'll ever be a right time?
TOADIE: I think that until we figure out what life looks like as individuals we can't even contemplate what life would look like together.
DEE: You're right.
TOADIE: One thing I do know is I'll be eternally grateful that you brought Dee...the Dee that I loved...back into my life.
DEE: I said goodbye to her such a long time ago. Thank you for bringing her back into my life.
TOADIE: You've helped me so much.
DEE: I guess this is it.
TOADIE: For now, yeah.

They kiss. Toadie leaves.

Number 28
Finn and Bea exit the bedroom looking loved up. All their clothes are gone.

BEA: Someone has been in here.

They look worried.

The Waterhole
Pierce enters The Waterhole and notices the romantic setting surrounding Chloe. When he comments on it, she explains that she had brunch with Elly, who had to rush off for a meeting. She tells him that she might be coming back soon.

PIERCE: So you're too busy to have a drink with me but you've got time to wait around for someone who may not even come back.

Chloe is lost for words for once. Pierce continues by saying that he's just confused because one minute Chloe tells him that she likes him, the next it feels like she couldn't care less. She says she was giving him time to figure out his feelings after everything that happened with Ebony, eventually asking if he has figured it out yet.

PIERCE: Well yeah, I just needed time to get over it.
CHLOE: I don't have time...to wait around while you work through your feelings. Pierce, at some point my life is gonna get really hard. So right now I'm all about what makes me smile. Chasing the happy.

Erinsborough High
Chloe surprises Elly by dropping off brunch for her, figuring that she probably wouldn't have time to eat before her class starts. Elly is pleased and tells Chloe how sweet she is. They talk about how the meeting went before Yashvi approaches, saying she thought Elly had cancelled the class. Elly looks confused until she enters the classroom which is almost empty.

ELLY: What's going on?
YASHVI: Half the kids have been pulled out of class.

Elly looks shocked.

The Waterhole
Finn and Bea discuss the intruder at Number 28 who took their clothes. He wonders if it was Alfie but Bea says he'd be stupid to do that after everything he's already done. Finn suggests contacting the police to ask if there's been any weird thefts in the area recently. Bea gets ready to perform as Toadie enters the bar. Shane says he's surprised to see him back so soon.

TOADIE: Yeah, Dee and I both agreed that we should probably not see each other for a while.
SHANE: Oh. Are you ok?
TOADIE: I will be.

Bea begins her performance. Toadie looks emotional as he watches Bea perform, thinking about Dee. We cut to Dee who is walking along the beach. She cries as she looks at the ocean. Toadie leaves The Waterhole and goes to the Friendship Tree. Dee looks at her Driver Licence under her false name 'Karen Elizabeth Hambley'. As she leaves the beach, we see her licence laying on the sand, before it is washed away by waves. Toadie strokes one of the branches of the tree and looks deep in thought about Sonya and Dee.
