Number 28 Backyard
Toadie is venting to Karl about Shane and Dipi bringing Andrea back into his life. Karl reasons that it must have been a tough decision for Shane and Dipi to make, but Toadie's upset that Sonya didn't confide in him about it first.

TOADIE: Dee is gone. Sonya was my life. The only thing that's going to help now is for me to just focus on the kids and try to work out how to live life without her, which is near impossible with Andrea hanging around.

Karl's sympathetic, but Toadie heads off to work before they can chat more.

Lassiters Complex
Leo is still annoyed with Roxy about fanning the flames of the feud between Paul and Gary at the wine tasting, but Roxy brushes off his concern. She spies Paul across the way and chases after him, leaving Leo and Vance to talk.

LEO: Look, I get you've got a stolen horse to offload, but you've also got a business to run and loose cannons make me feel uneasy.
VANCE: Stop stressing about Roxy. I'll handle her, all right?

Leo doesn't look convinced. Meanwhile, Roxy catches up with Paul and they have another chuckle at Gary's expense before Roxy announces she wants to take Paul on an excursion that afternoon. Paul says he has a meeting, but Roxy thinks he'll have plenty of time for both.

Harold's Café
Shane and Dipi ask Karl for advice on how to proceed with Andrea. Karl states that Andrea is a notorious liar but he doesn't understand what she has to gain with this latest stunt. Shane wonders if Karl could check in on Andrea, just to get another opinion. Karl's unsure, not only because he's not a psychiatrist, but he also doesn't want Toadie to think he's being disloyal.

SHANE: None of us are being disloyal. We opened the door to Andrea because we love Toad, and because it seems to be what Sonya wanted us to do. Now that she's here we might as well find out the truth.

Karl mulls over Shane and Dipi's request.

Terese's Office
Terese asks Ned to sort out beverages for her meeting with Paul, Pierce and Chloe. She doesn't need food because she ate at home earlier. Ned assumes lunch included Vance and asks how things are going, but Terese claims it's all under control. Chloe greets "Nedwardo" as she enters and he departs. Chloe's curious about why Pierce called a meeting, especially since he can't stand Paul, but Terese says Pierce has accepted Paul's part of the business. Chloe then asks if Pierce knows she'll be in the meeting, the cogs turning in her brain when Terese says she assumes so.

The Waterhole
Andrea didn't expect to get a call from Shane and Karl and wonders if Toadie changed his mind, but Shane says as far as Toadie's concerned, "Dee is dead and he never wants to hear about it again." Andrea assumes Karl's there to ensure she leaves town, but is surprised to hear otherwise.

KARL: Apparently the date your mystery man met Karen coincides with the date of Dee's sister's funeral.
ANDREA: Right. Does Toadie know this?
KARL: Yes he does, he thinks it's all lies.
ANDREA: (sighing) I'm telling the truth.
KARL: Of the bits you can remember you mean.
ANDREA: My memory from the time is bad because of what I was going through. But the more I think about that day, the more details I remember.
KARL: Such as?
ANDREA: I dunno, I can see the guy's face. We were walking through the markets and this guy starts yelling out to me, 'Karen! Karen!' Anyway, so he comes up, tells me his name, we start talking and I say, 'Dude, I don't know you!'
KARL: But you can't recall his name?
ANDREA: God, it's on the tip of my tongue... I just can't reach it.

Shane suggests hypnosis, which Andrea appears sceptical of until Karl says he's tried it in the past with reasonable results. Andrea asks if Karl would try it on her, as she trusts him. Karl protests, reminding them he's not formally qualified and a professional would be better under the circumstances. But Andrea begs him: she's willing to try anything if it will help Toadie.

Horse Stables
Roxy excitedly introduces Paul to Rhapsody in Red, but he doesn't get why she's trying to sell him a horse, "It's a weird sideline for a bartender." Roxy admits the horse belongs to Vance but she thought Paul might like first dibs on purchasing it.

PAUL: Is this why you've been so chummy to me for the past couple of days?
ROXY: I guess it just took me a while to clock what a great guy you are. I came here to get my life on track with Aunty T, but I'm starting to think that Uncle P is the better person to learn from!
PAUL: I asked you not to call me that.

Roxy takes that on board then says she thinks she can talk Vance into selling the horse for 100k and tries to say that Terese will love the idea. But Paul pretty much laughs in Roxy's face and says he's never going to buy it, "know your market, which is not me."

Harold's Café
Elly apologises to Dipi about everything that happened over the ultrasound photo, but Dipi is quite forgiving. She says everyone makes mistakes and knows Elly wasn't coming from a bad place. Elly wants to make it up to Dipi but Dipi gives her a hug and encourages her to focus on the baby. Toadie walks in and Elly thanks him for steering her towards the mother's support group, "Sonya would have been proud." She then asks if he's changed his mind about Andrea since their chat the other day - she heard about Andrea's reappearance from Sheila. Toadie says that all happened without his knowledge, but when Elly prompts for more details, Toadie can't cope and leaves.

Terese's Office
Pierce makes small talk with Chloe while they wait for Paul to arrive. Pierce chides Paul for being late and Paul bites back, so Terese quickly begins the meeting. Pierce tells the trio he wants to make a wine that's exclusive to Lassiters hotels internationally. Terese says the decision would have to be made by Lucy Robinson, but Paul doesn't think she'll go for it. Pierce then suggests they trial it in Erinsborough first. Chloe asks why Pierce wants to do business here, but he just says he's familiar with the people. Terese appears to be warming to the idea, despite Paul's grumpy protests.

Lassiters Complex
Leo and Vance are alarmed when Roxy tells them she tried to sell the horse off to Paul for 100k. She figured rich people love to spend their dough on fancy stuff like that, but Vance is frustrated and reminds her that he's the one in charge of sales. Roxy leaves and Leo expresses his annoyance to Vance over Roxy getting Paul involved. But Vance says he shut that down and he'll be able to find another buyer soon. Leo hopes Vance is right because the longer they hold onto the horse, the more likely everything's going to blow up in their faces.

Number 28
Andrea looks at the Kennedy kids portrait while Karl warns her that unlocking old memories can be risky. Andrea doesn't seem too fazed until Karl mentions that other things that are buried deep in her subconscious can come to the surface.

ANDREA: What, you mean like stuff from different times in my life?
KARL: Yes. You suffered a severe psychological trauma after the birth of Hugo. Now there's a very slight possibility that could get dredged up again, amongst other things.

Andrea thinks on this but then decides the risk is worth it if she can get answers.

KARL: What you did to Sonya and Toadie is especially cruel. If this is some con...
ANDREA: It isn't. But...
KARL: What?
ANDREA: I just wish I had some people in my life who looked out for me like Toadie's friends look out for him.
KARL: Yes, well, he earned that.
ANDREA: Yeah I know. But it's what I want. I want to be a better person.

She's keen to get started so Karl invites her to close her eyes and make herself comfortable on the couch.

Number 22
Terese doesn't get why Paul is so anti Pierce. Paul reminds her that Pierce tried to ruin him, but Terese says it's only because she put him up to it. And if Paul can forgive her, then surely he can forgive Pierce too. Paul sighs and says he'll think about it. He heads upstairs, telling Terese to join him when she's ready. Vance emerges from the backyard all sweaty after mowing the lawn. He and Terese swap some more flirty banter, Vance reminding Terese of the time they had some fun with a blindfold. Terese looks hot under the collar, so when Vance goes back outside, she rushes upstairs to join Paul.

Number 28
The hypnotherapy session is in full swing. Andrea's eyes remain closed as Karl's voice guides her down a staircase, each step taking her deeper and deeper.

KARL: There are pictures on the wall. Can you see them?
ANDREA: (smiling) Yeah, it's Willow. She's a baby.
KARL: There's a door next to the pictures. I want you to open that door and walk through. You're now in Hobart at the Salamanca Markets. It's June 2018. You've come over from Perth and you've left Hugo in the care of Sindi.
ANDREA: It's cold.
KARL: You meet a man who thinks your name is Karen. Can you see him?
ANDREA: He's taller than I am, bit older.
KARL: What is he saying?
ANDREA: He says he knows me. I don't know him.
KARL: Does he tell you his name?
ANDREA: Yeah.
KARL: What is it?
ANDREA: Ian.

Karl quietly celebrates this small breakthrough.

Lassiters Complex
Pierce chats with Chloe while she's having a drink with Kyle outside the hotel. Chloe thinks he won't be continuing with his wine idea because Paul was so against it, but Pierce figures Terese will talk him around. Pierce then asks Kyle how the tram tender's coming along and offers more assistance, "Always happy to help friends of Chloe's." Chloe shakes her head after Pierce leaves.

CHLOE: Well that settles it. Pierce is getting back into bed with Lassiters to get back into bed with me.
KYLE: He is?

Chloe lists off the fact that he wants to keep working with Paul even though he despises him, and that he's being 'friendly' towards Kyle in a "classic Silverback Gorilla" move to "assert dominance over a potential male rival." She pleads with Kyle to talk tram biz with Pierce to garner more info, but Kyle groans and says no.

KYLE: Ask him straight out or just drop it. Because at the moment it sounds like you're the one obsessed with him, not the other way around.

Number 22
Terese and Paul walk downstairs in their robes, smiling and giggling about their rendezvous. Paul was especially pleased with the addition of the blindfold. Terese freezes when he says he knows where the inspiration was from, but relaxes when he mentions the blindfold from the wine tasting. Roxy arrives home and smirks when she sees them in the kitchen, but Terese isn't keen on her teasing and heads back to her room. While they're alone, Roxy offers the horse again for 50k, suggesting to Paul that Terese will want more 'robe time' once she sees what he's willing to do to make her happy. In a good mood, Paul talks Roxy into selling the horse to him for 30 grand.

Harold's Café
Shane and Dipi still haven't heard back from Karl, and Dipi frets that maybe the hypnotherapy was a bad idea. Toadie finds them for a chat and expresses remorse over how he reacted earlier. He says that Karl helped him realise that the main reason he's angry is because Sonya didn't confide in him.

SHANE: We've all been trying to respect her wishes but we're never going to know exactly what she wanted us to do.
TOADIE: No. But anyway, Andrea's gone back to Geelong so... (Off Shane and Dipi's guilty looks) Please tell me that she's gone back.
DIPI: She's with Karl.
TOADIE: Why?
SHANE: He's hypnotising her to see if she can remember anything about this guy from the markets.
TOADIE: And whose suggestion was this?
SHANE: Mine.
TOADIE: (trying to clamp down his anger) And Karl agreed.
DIPI: Yeah but he...
TOADIE: So Karl's gone behind my back as well.
SHANE: Nobody's going behind your back, we're just trying to get to the bottom of this.
TOADIE: I don't know how much more clearer I need to be. This is my life and I don't want Andrea in it! Stop interfering!

Furious, he gets up and leaves.

Ramsay Street
Leo finds Vance mowing the nature strip of #22, suggesting he can mow #32 next. Roxy bounds outside to happily report to them that Paul's buying the horse for 30k, which goes down like a lead balloon with Vance. She knows it's not the price they were after but figures it's better than nothing and now the horse can stay in the family. Once Roxy goes back inside, Leo snidely asks Vance to tell him again how he's got the situation under control. But Vance is too stressed to respond.

Number 28
The hypnotherapy session continues.

KARL: What is Ian saying?
ANDREA: I can't quite hear him.
KARL: All right, try to focus.
ANDREA: He's saying something about where he's staying.
KARL: Yes?

Andrea suddenly appears unsure.

ANDREA: Where am I?
KARL: You're at the market.
ANDREA: (worried) I don't know where I am.
KARL: Andrea, just try and remember being in Hobart.

She curls into herself more on the couch and starts to speak in a small, childish voice.

ANDREA: I didn't mean it. (She tries not to cry) I'm sorry.
KARL: No it's all right, Andrea.
ANDREA: Mum, I'll be a good girl.
KARL: (concerned) Your mother isn't here.

Andrea starts sobbing, begging her mum, "Don't let them kill me!" so Karl intervenes and keeps reassuring Andrea that she's okay and to come back 'up the stairs' until Andrea's eyes finally snap open. She looks around wildly before latching onto Karl for a hug. Toadie walks in just in time to see Karl hold onto Andrea, telling her she's safe. But Toadie's got a sneering look on his face like, 'What crap is she peddling now?'
