- Susan tells Elly she'd love her to take her job back at the school.
- Dipi gives Elly a box containing some of Sonya's things; including her ultrasound for Caitlin.
- Elly is told that an ultrasound won't indicate anything about the paternity of the baby, but she's concerned that the size of the baby will.
- Elly doctors Caitlin's ultrasound photo to make it look like her own.
- Bea tells Ned that she used to have a boyfriend who tried to control her; Patrick aka Finn.
- Toadie tells Finn that he doesn't want him to have anything to do with the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation.
- Finn sneaks into Toadie's office at the community centre.
Community Centre
Finn places his anonymous donation on the desk but hears people coming so has to hide. Shane and Dipi enter, surprising Toadie with a new area for him to carry out the work for the Foundation. Finn quietly places his hand on the desk above to grab the envelope he's put there. Dipi suggests the nursery as a location for the next fundraiser but Toadie doesn't seem very keen on the idea.
Number 24
Susan and Elly discuss her new timetable before Mark enters. He asks them if they fancy a sandwich and as they decline, he picks up the ultrasound photo of 'his' baby.
ELLY: Don't look too hard, I thought you wanted the sex of our child to be a surprise.
He agrees with her so quickly puts down the ultrasound.
Community Centre
Shane and Dipi talk about their plans for setting up the room as a space for Toadie to work in. They all decide to head over to Harold's to talk some more, before Dipi nearly catches Finn hiding under the desk, when she throws a cup in the bin. After they leave, Finn places his donation back on the desk and sneaks out of the building. Bea sees him emerge and picks up on him acting suspiciously.
BEA: Are you ok?
FINN: Yeah, fine.
BEA: Are you sure? Because you're sweating.
FINN: Ah, it's a bit hot out and I just went for a bit of a walk.
Finn tells her he's heading home and they both look awkward.
Harold's Café
Shane, Dipi and Toadie talk about having a fundraiser on the complex. Toadie gets a call and exits Harold's, as Mark and Elly enter. Dipi mentions the box of Sonya's things she gave to Elly.
ELLY: I can't believe I forgot to tell you. Dipi dropped off a box of things for you. Sorry, I completely forgot.
DIPI: Don't be silly; but there is something special in there, I'm sure Sonya would want you to have.
MARK: Ok, what is it?
Elly cuts in, suggesting they wait until they get home to have a look, clearly biding her time.
Number 24
Mark and Elly look through Sonya's box but Mark seems underwhelmed, as Dipi had made such a big deal out of it. He wonders if she'd missed something out, so he plans to head over and ask her. Elly offers to go instead, insisting that Mark makes a start on dinner.
Number 30
Elly tells Dipi that she removed the ultrasound from the box because she didn't want it to bring up bad memories for Mark, especially when they have a baby on the way. Dipi apologizes and says she should have been more sensitive. Mark's curiosity has been piqued now though, so Elly asks if there's anything new they can pretend was missing from the box originally.
Number 28
Bea berates Ned for being overprotective when it comes to Finn.
NED: But if he does say something that worries you, I want you to know you can talk to me.
BEA: Yeah, of course.
NED: So are we good?
BEA: (laughs) Yeah, we're good.
They kiss. Ned says he has to leave, before Finn exits the bedroom. Bea asks him if he's going to tell her the truth about what he was doing before; she says it's clear he was up to something.
Number 28
Finn continues trying to come up with excuses but Bea knows he's not being honest. Eventually he tells her the truth; that he sneaked into Toadie's office to leave an anonymous donation. She asks why he didn't just give Toadie the donation but he says Toadie would never accept it. The cheque is for $50,000. He tells Bea that Shaun convinced their mum to give him quite a lot of money to get back on his feet.
FINN: I really just wanted to do something good with it. That's all I was doing. You believe me, right?
Bea looks conflicted.
Number 24
Elly cautiously sneaks back into the house, pulling a tag off a small white teddy bear and hiding the gift bag it came in. Mark comes in from the back garden and she presents him with it. He doesn't recognize it, wondering why it's so special.
ELLY: One of Sonya's old friends bought it for Catlin. Dipi couldn't remember her name, but they thought that you might like it.
MARK: That's really thoughtful of her...Mr. Bear meet Baby Brennan, your new best friend.
ELLY: Aw, so cute.
Mark puts his arm round Elly.
Number 30
Shane, Dipi and Yashvi are getting ready for the day. Toadie enters.
DIPI: Hey, you're up and about early.
TOADIE: Yeah, I just dropped Nell off at before-school care and Hugo at daycare and I...went and picked up Sonya.
He places her ashes on the table. He explains that today was the last day before they were going to be taken to off-site storage. Dipi asks what he wants to do with them and he replies that he wants to scatter them at the Friendship Tree. He doesn't think Nell should be involved as she's been having dreams about Sonya recently and it might all be too confronting.
YASHVI: Maybe you could save some. That way she can scatter some when she's older and feels ready.
A silence ensues. Toadie smiles.
TOADIE: That's a beautiful idea, Vi. Thank you.
Yashvi heads off for school. Dipi asks Toadie if he wants to talk about it but he declines. She gives him a hug.
Erinsborough High
Yashvi welcomes 'Mrs. Brennan' back to school. Susan approaches, discussing the latest complaints from parents about Finn. She tells Elly to let her know if she has any issues, after Dean throws a can towards the bin, missing it entirely. His backchat makes her give him a detention and he asks if it can be at lunchtime as he's meeting his mum after school. However, she doesn't give in. As they all sit down, Yashvi tells him to lay off.
Lassiters Lake
Toadie scatters Sonya's ashes at the Friendship Tree. He becomes consumed by emotion, before placing a white rose over the soil.
Erinsborough High
Elly asks Dean why he hasn't handed in his assignment but he hasn't done it.
DEAN: I figured I didn't need to do it seeing as the teacher who set it isn't here anymore.
ELLY: Well, nobody else seems to have figured that. I expect it in my inbox tomorrow morning.
DEAN: Drainer.
ELLY: What did you say?
DEAN: I said drainer. As in you're draining my life right now.
ELLY: Congratulations Dean, you've just upgraded your one detention into a week's worth.
Community Centre
Toadie discovers the envelope containing a bank cheque for $50,000. Bea enters, asking if everything's ok and he seems overjoyed. He tells her what's just happened and how much difference the money will make to the foundation, mistakenly assuming that Paul Robinson is the anonymous donor, as he did something similar when Sonya was sick.
Erinsborough Hospital
Elly's just had her ultrasound but refuses to keep the photo when Dr Dietrich offers it to her. The doctor asks if she's reconsidered telling Mark the truth about the baby but she says she hasn't as it's just too risky. As Elly rushes off, she doesn't notice her student Dean standing nearby.
DR DIETRICH: Sweetheart, hello, I didn't see you there.
DEAN: Hey, mum.
DR DIETRICH: Why don't you wait in my office while I grab something to eat.
DEAN: No worries.
He closes the door and soon sees Elly's medical file laying on the desk.
Harold's Café (exterior)
Bea approaches Finn to tell him she believes his story about the donation. He proceeds to ask her if she knows any other ways he can help with the Foundation but she's reluctant to help, saying that she'll keep his secret but they're not friends and she doesn't want to be involved.
BEA: I know you had your reasons for sneaking around, but...it's creepy.
Erinsborough High
Yashvi tells Dean to enjoy detention. He's sitting on top of a desk as Elly walks in, telling him to take a seat and get started on his assignment. He ignores her so she tells him that it wasn't a request.
DEAN: I'm not doing detention. Or the assignment you gave me but I want you to give me an A for it.
ELLY: Just sit down and do the assignment.
DEAN: Do you really want your husband to know you've been lying to him? How do you think he'll react?
ELLY: Pardon?
DEAN: My mum's your doctor. I looked in your file.
ELLY: What, that's illegal!
DEAN: I know. But I know your secret, so all good for that A?
Elly looks shocked.
