TYLER: Who do you think I've turned into?
PIPER: I don't know, Tyler, that's the thing, you're not the same person anymore.
TYLER: What, and that's a surprise?
PIPER: No, it's not. You can't go through what you've been through and not changed.
TYLER: That means I'm the kind of person who'd arrange to hurt Cassius.
PIPER: No, Tyler! I don't want to be thinking like this, but you are in a really dark place right now. No-one would blame you for hating Cassius and I wouldn't blame you if you wanted him to pay.
TYLER: Do you want me to give you a signed statement, Piper? Because it sounds like you're not going to believe a word I say!
PIPER: Of course I will, Tyler, if you didn't do it, just *tell* me!
TYLER: I shouldn't have to!

Just then, Mark comes in.

MARK: Hey. Is everything alright?
PIPER: Yeah.
TYLER: Yeah.

Mark tells them that Tyler has to come down the station first thing. They want to question him over what happened to Cassius.

Hospital
David is part of the team taking Cassius into theatre. Aaron is in the corridor and glowers at David.

AARON: What are you doing?! Are you going to treat him after everything he's done?
DAVID: Aaron, this is my job. Just go home.

The Lake (dusk)
Bea and Ned are walking. Bea tells him that confronting Cassius really helped her.

Bea tells Ned that she's missed their walks. Suddenly, she yawns and says that maybe she's feeling better.

NED: I'm proud of you.
BEA: I'm proud of me too.

A moment comes between them. Ned finally breaks it.

NED: So...um...shall I take you home so you can get some sleep?
BEA: Yeah...that's a good idea. Thank you.

Piper is telling Xanthe and Sheila that Cassius is probably in surgery by now. Sheila offers to go to the hospital to see if they'll tell her what's going on. Xanthe hugs Piper and they talk about Tyler. Piper isn't sure if he was involved in Cassius's attack or not.

Hospital
Cassius is resting after surgery. Sheila asks David how Cassius is. He can't tell her anything, but says she can watch him through the window, next to the police guard. David says they're hopeful - but that's really all he can say.

Outside Police Station
Tyler is angry that the police think that he attacked Cassius.

TYLER: I spent so much time in prison thinking about getting out, wishing I had my old life back...and I'm already starting to hate it!
MARK: Don't say that, OK. You just need to give yourself more time to adjust.
TYLER: To what?! This is who I am now, this is my life. I'm always going to be the Number One suspect no matter what.
MARK: Your family and friends know the truth, we know what you are.
TYLER: Piper doesn't. Does she think I'm some kind of monster?!
MARK: I'm sure she doesn't. Look, you have to remember, this is a confusing time for her too. I know that you would never do anything this calculated or malicious, it's not who you are. Never has been, never will be.
TYLER: I wish Piper could see that.

Hospital
Sheila has been at the hospital all night. Mark tells her that it's more than Cassius deserves. He asks her if Cassius said anything about being intimidated in prison. She's shocked to hear that they think it could have been Tyler.

Chloe is gossiping about Amy and Gary. David comes in from working all night and Aaron glowers at him. He tells him about Tyler being questioned. David tells Aaron pointedly that he doesn't get to chose his patients.

AARON: David just spent the whole night trying to save Cassius's life.
DAVID: I was the surgical registrar on call! ...I don't want to fight. I don't want either of us to say something that we're going to regret. But I *love* you and your whole family, you know that. Last night wasn't a test of my loyalty.

He goes off to change.

No.22 (Garden Room)
Bea has come to see Ned - during the day for a change, she says(!)

Piper tells Bea about Cassius being attacked. She's still not sure whether Tyler was involved. Ned tells Piper that Cassius might have put anyone off-side in jail - newbies are often beaten up. Piper wishes she'd kept her mouth shut with Tyler.

Lassiter's Lake
Tyler is sitting on a bench. Piper calls him, but he declines the call.

Legal Office
Mark comes to see Toadie. He tells him he needs all the logs of people who have visited Cassius. Toadie will try. Mark is adamant that Tyler isn't going to be falsely convicted of something a second time.

Aaron apologises for taking things out on David. He does understand that David has to treat his patients and hating Cassius isn't helping. He doesn't want Cassius to come between them.

AARON: I'm sorry.
DAVID: I know.

They hug.

Everything is ready for Tyler's party appparently. There's just one more thing that they need David's help with.

DAVID: You're a good brother, you know.
AARON: Yeah...trying to be. It's what Tyler needs.

No.22
Ned, Bea and Piper are hanging out. When Ned is sorting out the wifi, Bea and Piper chat.

BEA: Well, he'll take charge, but he's kind of cute, though.
PIPER: Mmm, cute, you reckon? So has something actually happened with you guys?
BEA: I don't know, I mean, I do want it to...
PIPER: Good, that's good, right? If I've learned anything from this whole Tyler thing it's that you should make the most of every second. Like, grab happiness.
BEA: Yeah, that's the thing...I think I've missed my chance.
PIPER: No, no! No, no, it's never too late.
BEA: Last night we had this moment...you know, it was one of those 'kiss me' moments...and it didn't happen.
PIPER: Well, I mean, you did tell him that you didn't want anything to happen, so maybe he's just being respectful...
BEA: Yeah. Maybe.
PIPER: If your feelings have changed, you'll have to like *make it clear* because his mind-reading abilities aren't as good as mine, OK?!

They both laugh.

Ned comes back and starts to put the film on. Piper says that they need junk food.

BEA: Yeah...Ned and I are on it.
NED: We are?

She drags him off.

NED: ...we are!

Piper just smiles after them. Aw, Pipes, what a hero.

Tyler comes in and is surprised to find a party waiting for him. Chloe says it's an action replay of David and Aaron's wedding. They start reminiscing about the wedding and Tyler looks increasingly uncomfortable.

TYLER: I don't really think I'm up for this, guys.

He starts to lose his temper.

TYLER: Could you all just stop? Because unless you can build a time machine, I can't go back and re-live the things that I missed.
MARK: We're not trying to rub your face in it...
TYLER: But, you are! You're standing around here making jokes about things I wasn't a part of. Do you really think that's what I need right now?
AARON: We're just trying to have a bit of fun.
TYLER: None of you get it! You have no idea.

He walks out.

(Later on Ramsay Street)

Aaron tells Chloe that he hates what Tyler is going through. Chloe says they have to hold things together - for Tyler. Aaron wonders if he should go and look for Tyler. He stands there for a moment then kicks a bin over.

Lassiter's
Ned and Bea have stocked up on a pile of junk-food. They talk about Tyler. Ned says he feels for Tyler, but he's not sure Piper can cope with the stress right now. Bea gives him the bag of junk food and says she'll meet him back at home - she needs to go and do something.

Ned sees Mark and asks after Tyler. Mark asks Ned how Cassius seemed at the prison. He doesn't think it was anything out of the ordinary.

When Mark has gone, Ned gets on the phone and talks to his mate.

NED: Look, I've got to ask. Did you tell anyone about what we spoke about?

Bea comes in with a present for Ned. It's a bottle of ink for Ned to tattoo her with. He is really pleased.

BEA: I mean, I want something that signifies light in the darkness. Or like, hope, new beginnings. I feel like...that's where I'm at. After Cassius and Finn...I know that probably sounds a little bit stupid.
NED: No. No, it doesn't at all. I just...I hope I can do it justice.
BEA: Of course you will. I mean, I wouldn't want anyone else to do it. You know...I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your support. All those lies and secrets...but with you...there's done of that.

She puts her hands on his shoulders and leans in to kiss him. But Ned pulls back.

NED: I'm sorry, Bea, I...
BEA: I'm sorry, I probably came on too strong...
NED: No, no. You said everything that I wanted to hear.

Ned looks very upset.

NED: There's something I need you to know. I'm the reason Cassius was attacked in prison. It's because of me he almost died.

Hospital
Cassius's police guard yawns and Sheila tells him off. She tells him to get a strong cup of coffee to keep him going and drags him off to the machine. While he's away from the door, Aaron quickly walks into Cassius's room and approaches the bed. He stands over Cassius, just looking at him.

Just then, David comes in.

DAVID: What are you doing in here?
