Number 32
Kirsha tells her sister and aunt about the test results and the fact her hearing isn't going to get any better. She throws the booklet about sign language onto the ground before heading to Clancy for comfort.

Mishti wants them both to remain strong for the youngster and goes to talk to her youngest niece, but Yashvi stops her and walks instead towards her sister.

KIRSHA: I knew I wasn't going to get any better. I knew I failed the test. Everyone thought I'd be fine, now you're stuck with me like this.

(Yashvi shakes her head)

KIRSHA: I'm really scared.

Number 22
Everyone is round at #22 for a meal before Gary's sentencing hearing. Piper asks Sheila if she is nervous ahead of her show and Xanthe explains that she's dropped out because she's a lot on, including Gary's trial and she suggests to him it's time to get his suit on.

Before he does that, Gary thanks Terese for her support and apologises to Tyler about how things have turned out (thanks to the mix-up with Sheila) and is relieved that he is onside.

We also hear that Nick is off to Darwin too (Terese was on the phone to him) after the parole board approved the move.

Lassiters Complex
Shane tells his brother (and Steph) the news about Kirsha and their plan to tell her after Christmas backfired. Both offer their support and assistance if they need help. Steph is forced to think quickly after Shane mentioned he was heading to Colac on Christmas morning, to try and get him to delay going so he doesn't miss the Christmas party. Despite her best efforts, Shane's plans are still going ahead.

"I should be there for her," Dipi laments after looking out into the backyard and seeing that Yashvi and Kirsha are still talking but Mishti suggests giving Yashvi a chance as she "might surprise you."

Their chat is interrupted by Steph calling round to offer her sympathies. She then tries to persuade Dipi to change their plans but like Shane, she isn't willing to do so as Angie wouldn't be happy at them backing out. Steph then admits the reason why she wants them to stay and immediately Dipi says their plans are now going to be changed as they need something positive to look forward to. Mishti suggests getting the family to Erinsborough but Steph suggests that isn't a good plan as Angie doesn't know that Sonya and Toadie are back together yet.

Number 22
Before they head to court, Terese tells Gary that she loves him, he has her full support and whatever the sentence given they will work things out together.

While Terese and the Canning's head out the door, Piper has a panic attack and announces that she can't leave the house.

Everyone is back in the house hearing Piper say that since the pool accident, she has been unable to leave the house and any attempt to do so, has her having a panic attack. Time is pressing, and Gary needs to leave and initially goes to leave without Terese, but Piper tells her mum to go because she doesn't "need a babysitter" plus Gary needs her more than she does. Eventually, and somewhat reluctantly, Terese heads off with the Canning's, leaving Tyler behind to look after Piper.

Kirsha helping her dad set up for the show is all forgotten about, when Yashvi comes out with materials she downloaded about learning sign language and the sisters get straight into it.

KIRSHA: This is going to be good, we can have secret conversations.

Number 22
Tyler wants to know why Piper hasn't said anything to him, and her reply is he has enough on his plate and had hoped it would have settled down quicker than it has.

TYLER: If you're upset about anything, I want to know about it, okay.

She promises to do that, then asks if he will help her get outside because she hates "letting the fear win."

PIPER: And every time I do, it gets harder and harder to stay strong.

She then tells him that she feels very safe right now, and calm, so it's the right time to try.

Ramsay Street
Taking baby steps, Tyler helps Piper down the driveway and onto the street. She's not exactly looking comfortable but wants them to keep going, even though her heart is racing although she isn't hyperventilating. "It will settle down," Tyler reassures her.

Number 32
After hearing that Shane and Co have changed their Christmas plans, Toadie wants to rope him into going to the party in matching costumes. "What sort?" Shane asks, and the reply is "Santa and Mrs Claus." Shane isn't buying it and suggests they go suited up "Ocean Eleven style," but Toadie doesn't like that suggestion... but something has come to him and he rushes out of the house.

Number 24
Tyler tries to lead Piper into the pool area of #24 but she immediately has a flashback and backs out of going into the gated area. "You don't have to do this," Tyler reminds her, and she is very torn about wanting to back out and equally try to overcome her fears. She is determined to dip her toe in the water, and very gingerly the pair make their way in through the gate. Piper is really torn now between wanting to do it, and wanting to back out, but with Tyler reminding her of what Jack suggested she do (staying in the present).

With his love and support, Piper manages to not just dip her toe into the water but her whole foot before declaring "that's enough." "You're so brave," he tenderly reassures her with.

Harold's Cafe
Yashvi has managed to teach her sister how to spell 'Yashvi' using sign language. Shane interrupts them as he's thought of a way Kirsha, despite her hearing loss, can still be involved with the show - by having everyone submit their stuff so she can read it on the iPad as folk are performing. He's also rigged up the speakers so that she can feel the vibration too. The lass is well chuffed at what has been organised.

Shane meanwhile thanks Yashvi for her stepping up and helping her sister and adds that he is really proud of her too. Yashvi almost seems embarrassed at the praise being given to her but does like the hug she shares with her dad.

Number 22
Gary is back from court we hear he has been given a suspended sentence, much to his relief!

Xanthe and Sheila leave to go tell Dipi she is pulling out of the contest, while the boys go to sort out drinks. Terese doesn't want to go to the show either but Piper is insistent she does, as she is "good." Piper goes on to tell her mum about going out of the house with Tyler and says, "my fear of fear is definitely a little bit less." Terese is relieved at the happy news and is persuaded to go back to work (and attend the show).

Number 32
Dipi leaves a voicemail for Angie asking her to call back, so she can tell her about the change of plans, even if she will hit the roof, but Dipi doesn't plan on missing the vow renewal.

MISHTI: You are such a romantic!
DIPI: Of course I am. Love makes the world go round.

Yashvi comes in as the ladies are taking and doesn't seem too enthralled at hearing they are now attending the neighbours Christmas party especially if it means wearing a dress! The lass does ask if Angie knows about the change of plans as she doesn't like her ones being changed!

Lassiters Complex
Terese doesn't seem too enthralled at Mishti's attitude on hearing Gary got a suspended sentence. She is even less enthralled when Mishti starts quizzing her about the hotel software alibi and that there will be a thorough investigation of things once Louise is caught.

TERESE: Well do what you like, its got nothing to do with me.
MISHTI: I hope that's true, because if someone was involved, they'd be better off coming forward than being caught.

Number 32
Kirsha is getting used the speaker system Shane has rigged up when Yashvi dashes off to answer the phone. The caller is Angie (returning Dipi's call) but Yashvi can't find her mum so she can take the call so talks to her Nana instead.

Shane and Dipi return from outside as Yashvi finishes the call and she breaks it to them that Angie is on her way!
