No 28
Elly is telling a surprised Ben about her suspension from work. She admits she overstepped the mark and says she accused Finn of something that was wrong. She won't be drawn on what it was, but asks Ben to keep an eye on Xanthe for her.
ELLY: She's always been a big fan of his, and sometimes she tends to overstep the mark. Like when she tried to get us back together. And I just don't want her to do anything like that again.
BEN: Yeah, I'll keep an eye on her. And I'll keep an eye on him too. Let you know all the rumours and everything.
ELLY: Deal. And make sure you don't tell her, yeah?
BEN: Not a word.
No 32
Shane, Mishti and Dipi are playing with Nell and her new friend, Tippy the Tractor, which Shane has helped her make. Toadie comes in - Nell wants to show the tractor to Mummy. He reminds her that she's gone away for a while. Mishti takes Nell and Tippy to play outside.
DIPI: Has Sonya still not been in touch?
TOADIE: No. No, I'm just hoping that she wanted some time on her own, and that she'll come home.
Toadie opens a letter he's received in the post.
TOADIE: It's from Sonya's old lawyer. She's given me power of attorney. She wants me to sell the nursery, pay off Leo and establish a trust fund for Nell.
SHANE: But that makes it sound like she's never coming back?
Toadie looks worried.

Ben is moshing away to some music from a stereo while he fixes a car. He stops when Xanthe turns up, and tells him that Elly was suspended because she broke into his motel room.
Xanthe claims that she knows this through someone at the hospital who was there when Finn confronted Elly. Xanthe can't understand why Elly is going 'cray-cray', and tells Ben to talk to her as she's having some kind of breakdown, before flouncing off again. Tyler arrives, and Ben reports all this to him. He admits he now wonders whether Elly is the one up to shady stuff, rather than Finn.
BEN: All my information I get about Finn is from Elly. What if she's the one with the problem, not him?
TYNE: You need more facts, man. Don't take Elly's word about Finn. You should suss him out yourself.
The Waterhole
Paul runs into Tom Quill. Tom expresses surprise that Paul sent Leo to organise his settlement from the Quill Group, rather than coming himself.
PAUL: Nice to be able to trust your family, isn't it? Don't suppose you'll ever have that feeling again, will you? My biggest problem, though, is how am I gonna spend my millions now?
TOM: I'm happy for you.
PAUL: ... Thank you.
Paul leaves, and Tom joins Amy and David who are chatting at a table. Leo said he might find them here, Tom explains.
TOM: I thought I might let you know that tonight's Fri-Gay - the gay night at Back Lane Bar.
Naturally, Tom invites David along.
TOM: Unless you're busy?
AMY: No!
David follows Amy's lead and confirms he's free. Tom says he hopes to see him there, and leaves.
AMY: Fri-Gay. That's cute.
DAVID: Yeah. But what does it mean?
AMY: Well, today's Friday. So they took the 'day' out and put the 'gay' in. For gay night.
DAVID: I'm talking about Tom.
AMY: What's there to get? He asked you out.
DAVID: But did he, though?
Amy is keen to discuss Tom's history, but David said he'd rather get to know him himself. However, he tells Amy that she's coming with him to Fri-Gay! She's not keen, but he begs, reminding her he's new to dating. Amy agrees to come.

Tyler is heading home for the day, and leaves the keys with Ben to lock up. Yashvi is coming out of Grease Monkeys, and drops some litter on the floor. Ben calls her out on it.
YASHVI: Oh, chill, environmental warrior! I was about to pick it up!
She crosses the road to chat to Ben, who asks her who teaches her for science.
YASHVI: Oh, it was Mr Kelly, but now that he's principal, it's Miss Gold. Have you had her? She wears the same skivvy every day. That putrid polka-dot -
But Ben just wants to know about Finn, and asks if he was a good teacher or 'a bit dodgy'. Yashvi says he seemed alright, but that she hasn't been here long so can't really judge. She's curious as to the reason for Ben's questions, though.
YASHVI: You're worried about him and Xanthe, aren't you?
BEN: ...
YASHVI: Well, I wouldn't blame you. She's always hanging around him, and she wouldn't be the first girl to fall for him.
BEN: That's not the problem.
YASHVI: Oh, really? (!)
BEN: It's not!
YASHVI: Okay (!)
She walks off laughing, leaving Ben looking worried.
No 24
Aaron is looking for his dance shorts, and gets tetchy when Mark reveals that he's ironed them. Tyler and Mark tease him about his dancing work.
TYLER: This isn't work! You don't even get your hands dirty!
MARK: Maybe he does!

They're surprised that Aaron doesn't laugh it off as usual - instead he leaves the house in a bit of a mood. Toadie arrives, and Tyler leaves him to talk to Mark. Toadie explains that Sonya's done a runner from rehab and given him power of attorney, and Mark reads out a note Sonya sent for Toadie with the lawyer's letter.
MARK (reading): 'Sorry for putting you through this. Think it'll be best for everyone if I just disappear.'
Toadie asks Mark to pull some strings with the police to try and track down Sonya, perhaps by putting a trace on her phone. Mark says he can't do that as she's not officially a missing person. Increasingly desperate, Toadie asks Mark to pull in a favour with Ellen, as she likes Sonya. Mark doesn't think Ellen's in a position to help.
TOADIE: Mark, please. Sonya has got to be in a dark place to leave Nell like this. Please.
Mark agrees to give Ellen a call, and Toadie leaves. Mark calls Ellen.
MARK: I need to ask another favour...
Harold's Café
Mark reports the latest to Steph. He says he's already pushed Ellen too far - she won't go out on a limb for Sonya. Mark's planning on going and checking out a few rough sleeping hotspots to see if he can find Sonya. He admits he could put a trace on her phone, but Steph points out that he'll be no use to anyone if the police suspend him.
The Waterhole
Amy and David are preparing for their big night out. Sheila is bartending, and getting all excited at the thought of the exotic dancers at Fri-Gay 'pumping their pecs and shaking their tushes'. Mishti and Dipi join the conversation, as Amy tells Sheila to tone it down.
SHEILA: There is nothing wrong with a little simple appreciation of a dancer's physical form and talent.
DIPI: Yeah. I've heard they spend months in the gym preparing for their performances. And for us to act unimpressed - well, frankly, that's when it gets a bit disrespectful, no?
SHEILA: I couldn't agree more!
Dipi reveals that when Mishti lived in Sydney she was always going to gay clubs. So Amy suggests that Mishti accompany them to Fri-Gay tonight.
MISHTI: Count me in! It's been ages since I respected a young male dancer!
They all cackle.

Xanthe storms up to Ben as he's leaving the garage, and demands to know why he's asking questions about Finn. He quickly concludes that Yashvi has blabbed to Xanthe about their chat earlier.
XANTHE: I already told you that he was a decent guy! Don't you believe me?
BEN: It's not as simple as that, Xanthe! I also want to believe my cousin, who says he's been messing with her, and my grandma!
XANTHE: He wouldn't do that, okay? I know he wouldn't! The only reason that Elly is doing this is because she has it in for him!
BEN: How can you be so sure?
XANTHE: Because I know him - like, really know him! Better than anyone else.
BEN: Are you into him or something?!
XANTHE: No!
BEN: Because it's sure starting to sound that way.
XANTHE: Look, I'm not gonna stand here and deny that Finn and I have a connection, okay? But it's nothing like that.
BEN: What's it like, then?
XANTHE: You wouldn't understand!
BEN: Wouldn't I?
XANTHE: No! Finn and I - we talk like adults.
BEN: And we don't?
XANTHE: Right now, you're acting like a stupid little kid. So no, we don't.
Xanthe storms off.
Erinsborough High School
Elly sadly carries her belongings out of the school in a box.
Ramsay Street
Struggling to hold it together, Toadie approaches Terese, and explains that Sonya has skipped rehab and that he's worried she'll disappear altogether. He asks if Terese could ask around at the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting later to see if anybody has heard anything. Terese agrees to do that. Toadie tearfully says that he just wants Sonya home, and walks off.
Back Lane Bar
Mishti, David and Amy arrive.
MISHTI: Did you see that drag queen out the front?
AMY: She had so much orange make-up on, she looked like Donald Trump!
David gets a text from Tom; he's not coming, as his little brother Archie burned himself while he was cooking. Amy says this proves that Tom is caring and responsible, hence exactly David's type. With his date scuppered, David's keen to leave and head for somewhere quieter, but Mishti says they've only just arrived.
AMY: We have to see some dancing, right?
Sure enough, the first dancer - Hugh Hammer - emerges in a very skimpy builder's outfit. Amy and Mishti are loving it, but David looks pretty uncomfortable. The second dancer is dressed in a hokey doctor's outfit. His face is obscured with a surgical mask, so the onlookers can't tell that in fact it's Aaron!
The girls encourage David to slip some money into the dancer's pants. He's not keen, but they physically shove him onto the dance floor. He's appalled when Aaron pulls his mask down to reveal his identity - and Aaron's equally appalled to see David approaching him with a dollar note. They stare awkwardly at one another.
The Waterhole
Terese reports back to Toadie from her AA meeting. She says one guy spoke to Sonya before she went into rehab, and that she spoke of going to stay with an old drinking buddy called Daz. Toadie thanks Terese for the lead.
Meanwhile, Xanthe whinges to Sheila about how Ben is prejudiced against Finn. Sheila's suspicious as she thought Xanthe didn't see Finn so much now the tutoring is over. Xanthe says she still sees him at school.
XANTHE: This isn't even about Finn. It's about Ben and I. I mean, I'm his girlfriend. He should trust me when I say that Finn's amazing.
SHEILA: Ben is allowed to have his opinions, just like you have yours.
XANTHE: But isn't that, like, brainwashing? To be so blinded by your family's opinions that you can't even see what's right? Not even when it's right in front of you?
SHEILA: Elly has been really good to you - supported you no matter what. If she has concerns about Mr Kelly, don't you think there's the slightest possibility she might be onto something? I am just trying to give you some perspective!
XANTHE: I have perspective! Clearly I'm the only one!
Sheila storms off, aghast at her cheek.
Back Lane Bar
Mishti tells Amy and David that she now understands why Aaron's been so stiff and sore lately - because he's been rehearsing for his routine.
AMY: So you're a personal trainer and an ex-cop?
DAVID: If you're good with recovery, can you help me get over my embarrassment? I was about to give him money - for dancing! That's not what I'm about!
AMY: You'll feel better once you talk to him.
MISHTI: And just tell him it was all my fault, because it was.
David sees Aaron preparing to leave and goes over to talk to him. But Aaron just stares at him, upset, before walking out of the door. David looks gutted.
No 32
Shane comes in, and finds Toadie looking through Sonya's old police records from her past life of debauchery.
TOADIE: Every criminal report, every hospital report - everything the DHS has ever written about her.
He explains about Terese's lead, and says he's remembered that Sonya used to live with a bloke called Daz in a townhouse near The Citytm. He finds an address on one of the files matching that description. Shane points out that it's ten years old - Daz probably doesn't still live there.
TOADIE: I know it's a long shot. But I've got to do something. I have to find my wife.
No 24
Mark is updating Tyler and Aaron on the search for Sonya - no-one's seen her, and he's visibly worried. Tyler says Mark has done more than enough to help Sonya.
MARK: Thanks for that, Gertie.
Tyler and Mark move onto teasing Aaron again, but he's not in the mood. There's a knock at the door - it's Amy. She asks if she can come in, but Aaron goes out to talk to her by the door instead.
AMY: Maybe this is none of my business, but I thought you should know that David is really upset about tonight. He had no idea it was you when he approached with the cash, and the only reason he did it was because me and Mishti pushed him into it.
AARON: Well, look, I'm sorry I upset him. You know I didn't mean to.
AMY: Then why did you ignore him?
AARON: Because obviously I was embarrassed!
AMY: Why?! Your performance was amazing!
AARON: Yeah, I know, but - I was dressed like a doctor! In front of David - an actual doctor! It just - I dunno. It made me feel like a massive idiot.
AMY: You're not an idiot.
AARON: I'm not? You know, I can't make a single cent using my actual brain. The only thing people actually pay me for is to take my clothes off.
AMY: Well, you know, some people would kill for that problem!
AARON: Amy, that's not the point. Do you know that I actually thought I was gonna evolve into something else? Like Jamie Durie or Channing Tatum.
AMY: Why don't you talk to David about all this? Then he might understand.
AARON: Nah. You know what, I'd just rather forget about it and move on.
Harold's Café
David meets up with Tom Quill. His brother Archie's burns are apparently not too serious, but he's enjoying not having to do his kitchen chores. Tom asks how Fri-Gay was. David replies that it was 'interesting'.
DAVID: I think I would've had more fun if you were there.
TOM: That does seem likely!

Meanwhile, Elly is with Ben at another table. Elly insists she had her reasons for not telling Ben about her breaking into Finn's room, and says she's sorry that it's caused a fight between Ben and Xanthe.
BEN: I feel like we would've had one anyway. Her obsession with this guy is getting pretty full on.
ELLY: Really? I'd have thought that would have eased off when he stopped tutoring her?
BEN: I wish.
ELLY: Okay, you need to stick by Xanthe - she's very impressionable at the moment, and I don't want him exploiting her.
Ben nods.
Robinson's Motel
Xanthe is outside on her phone, very upset.
XANTHE: Oh, thank god you answered... No, I'm actually really upset. I need to see you... I'm actually already at the motel... Can I come to your room?... Thanks, Finn... Yeah, I'll see you in a second.
