Elly tells Karl and Susan that Finn didn't touch her but was in her face and said some awful things. Susan doesn't think trying to stay away from him is a solution but Elly is going to sleep on it and goes to bed. Susan is in a difficult position. It would help if she had some evidence and if Elly didn't have a history of questionable behaviour. Karl tells her she has to tread carefully; Finn has already accused her of bias.
Number 26
Xanthe wants Ben to help her with a biology assignment but Ben is engrossed in a motor parts site Tyler has sent him. Xanthe isn't happy that she no longer has Finn's tutoring to help her and says she needs somebody to talk to. Brooke suggests Jessie but Xanthe doesn't get along with her. Brooke admits she's had a huge falling out with Jessie and needs Xanthe to help her fix it.
XANTHE: I'm sorry, I thought you came here to fix things with me.
BROOKE: Yeah, I did.
XANTHE: No, it sounds like they kicked you out... which makes me your backup daughter.
Number 24
Jack arrives to see Paige who has received a designer nappy bag from Mary. Jack thinks it's a bit much.
JACK: I talk about the sins of materialism and promote charity but then I change my baby out of a thousand dollar bag?!
Jack thinks they should keep things basic when buying stuff for the baby and spend their money on things that are more worthwhile.
Number 26
Brooke and Gary are looking at photo of Xanthe and Jessie as children and Brooke misses them being together. In the other room, Sheila agrees Brooke should have told Xanthe sooner about the falling out with Jessie but they are family after all. Xanthe asks what if Mum and Jessie get on really well and leave together? Sheila tells her Brooke has proved she loves her, but every time Brooke leaves one of them she leaves half her heart behind. Xanthe relents and says Jessie can visit.
Erinsborough High
Susan tells Finn that Elly has accused him of being verbally abusive. Finn says this isn't the first time she's accused him of something he hasn't done, and her word isn't worth much. Susan tells him this isn't official but if she hears of any more unprofessional behaviour she will escalate it.
FINN: And how would that look? You're hardly impartial.
SUSAN: It would be an investigation by a third party. You have my word.
FINN: You can't be serious.
SUSAN: I'm sure that's a process we would all like to avoid.
FINN: I've been assistant principal for less than a week and already you're giving me warnings, about my personal life no less.
SUSAN: This is not a warning. It's just a conversation.
FINN: I bet this is payback for my interview panel. I should have known a woman like you would try to wrench back control.
Susan tells Finn she's trying to put out a fire before it spills over into the classroom and makes things much worse for him.
Number 24
PAIGE: So Jack wants to go basic. What does that even mean? Are we talking a few less frills or are we going full Amish here?
Paige wants her baby to have nice things. Mark tells her she's going to have to learn to negotiate. If she promises to talk to Jack, he may have a solution for now.
Erinsborough High
Finn apologises to Elly and asks her to talk to Susan. Elly says it's out of her hands. Finn gets angry and tells her he holds the higher rank here and won't be the one they ship off. Elly tells him not to threaten her and to learn to control himself. Finn nearly collapses. Xanthe comes along and takes him to the sick bay.
Number 26
Brooke is nervous about calling Brian so Sheila, sitting on the plastic-covered new couch, suggests a trial run and gets Gary to pretend to be Brian.
BROOKE: Hi Brian, it's Brooke. I was just here in Erinsborough and I was with Xanthe's grandmother...
GARY: Oh, that old battle axe?! [Sheila slaps his knee] I'm just keeping it realistic.
SHEILA: Oh yeah, more like unhelpful.
GARY: And when are you going to remove the plastic? It's like living in a demo home!
SHEILA: This keeps it clean.
Brooke makes the call for real but gets bad news. Brian is moving to Malaysia and is taking Jessie with him. Jessie has a new phone and he won't give her the number. Sheila thinks she should fight for custody but Brian has warned her not to make things difficult... he has emails from her that could be construed as extortion.
Number 24
Mark has emptied out the nursery and wants to give Paige and Mark everything. Jack wants to pay for it but Mark insists it's a gift and they thank him.
Erinsborough High
In the sick bay, Xanthe questions Finn about what happened. Finn tells her Elly has finished with him. Xanthe wishes Elly knew how much she's affecting Finn's health. Finn says it's just one more thing on the pile. Xanthe offers to back off if she's on the pile as well.
FINN: Right now I think I need you more than ever. You're only as good as the people who are willing to put you back together.
XANTHE: Then I'm here for you. No matter who or what lets us down, we've got each other.
Number 26
Xanthe arrives home and Brooke is sad but says at least Xanthe won't have to share her wardrobe. Xanthe says she still has to share Brooke's heart. Brooke assures her she loves them both equally.
XANTHE: What are you going to do about Jessie leaving?
BROOKE: Does fall apart sound like an awful answer? I'm so lucky I've got you. I'm so grateful for that.
XANTHE: Well, you're only as good as the people who are willing to put you back together.
BROOKE: That's a lovely sentiment; very mature of you.
XANTHE: I heard it around somewhere. I guess it stuck.
Number 24
Paige returns from visiting Piper. Mark says there are no new leads in the investigation. He has found one more toy of Caitlin's but Paige tells him to keep it and he can give it to the baby himself if he still wants to. She thanks Mark for saving her and Jack from an argument. She's going to take a bath and asks Mark to undo her dress because the baby is stretching her out.
MARK: Don't try and blame the baby. You always did have a problem with these things.
PAIGE: Bringing back memories, hey?
MARK: Mm-hmm. In fact I remember helping you out of your dresses.
PAIGE: I seem to remember you having a very different motive back then!
They reflect on how things have turned out.
Number 26
Xanthe tells Ben it's a little sad that Jessie is going to Malaysia and Ben says she's changed her tune. Xanthe says maybe she's changed.
BEN: Is your mum cut up about it?
XANTHE: Yeah, she's going for a nice long walk. Hopefully the 'endolphins' do their job!
Ben says Elly is cut up too but Xanthe says she dumped Finn. Ben says he heard Finn crossed a line but Xanthe says Finn loves Elly and she broke his heart. They have an argument about who is in the wrong.
Number 28 / Waterhole
Susan tells Elly she's warned Finn that she will be watching. She thinks it will make a difference; he's got too much to lose. At the same time, Finn is at the Waterhole looking up grounds for termination of a principal on his laptop. Susan says she glimpsed the other side of Finn today too. Finn reviews his document with the case against Susan and adds abuse of power to it.
Number 26
Brooke has logged onto Jessie's frequent flyer account and discovers they're flying via Melbourne. Brian must have a meeting here but still won't let her see her.
BROOKE: The whole thing's unfair. I mean Xanthe's finally prepared to patch things up with Jessie and I've got a chance to put my girls back together and he's taking her away. If only there were some way of stopping him.
GARY: Well, I'm all out of ideas. Apart from kidnapping her, what can you do? [Brooke looks enlightened] Uh, that was a joke...
BROOKE: No, no, no, no. That's the best idea yet! You are a genius, Gary Canning!

- Dipi thought moving here would bring Kirsha out of her shell; Shane says maybe she's missing Clancy
- Kirsha tells Mishti she doesn't want friends; it's not like she's bored
- Toadie feels like he's kidding himself that the separation is only temporary
