The opening credits have been updated. There is an extra shot of Shane, Dipi, Yashvi and Kirsha by the No.32 pool after Paige and Jack. The shot of David and Leo has been replaced with a shot of David, Leo and Mishti who are now in downtown Melbourne.
Anzac Day
Scenes are shown from Anzac Day and we hear the bugle call. We see Aaron in the crowd.
Ramsay Street
Aaron walks up the Street lost in thought until Jimmy cuts into his thoughts. Aaron agrees he was at the Dawn Service, so were Jimmy and Gary. It turns out that Jimmy wanted to honour his great grandfather Jim Robinson who served in the Vietnam War. Jim's Dad was in World War 2. Jimmy was a bit unsure about guys shaking his hand. Gary explains it was out of respect for Jim.
Jimmy is surprised to see Amy coming up the Street as they thought she was still in bed. Amy hastily explains she's been for a walk! Gary breaks the awkward silence by mentioning two up two down, Aaron declines. Gary and Jimmy head inside as Amy mouths her thanks. Aaron isn't in the mood after the service. Nate is on Aaron's mind. Aaron doesn't know if he's missing Nate though or being close to someone. Aaron apologises for rambling on but Amy understands. Amy suggests they go for a walk after she's changed her clothes.
No.24
Jack comes in to Paige talking to Mark about women eating meat in pregnancy. Paige decides to have a barbecue though Mark wryly realises he will be doing the cooking! Paige starts planning. She invites Jack, he's inviting her to the march in the city. Paige refuses as she's got sore bits on her feet and they get very painful when she stands for too long. Jack promises to return for the barbecue and leaves.
Harold's Cafe
Dipi is talking to Xanthe and Ben about the cafe. She is impressed how Lauren has built up the place, Xanthe comments it's busier than usual. Dipi wonders if it's usual for them to work so hard, Ben points out they're doing it to impress her! Piper appears out of the kitchen. Dipi reassures Piper and Xanthe that she plans to keep them on. Dipi has made some Anzac biscuits and she wants them to hand out the biscuits as a welcome gesture. Xanthe ropes Ben in to help. Dipi also volunteers Yashvi and Kirsha to help and to show them around the place. Kirsha isn't impressed about handing out the biscuits as she helped make them. Also she doesn't know the others or the place. Xanthe attempts to reassure her that this will help her get to know them. Piper volunteers to introduce Jimmy to Kirsha, they'll be in the same class. Xanthe will show them the racing pigeon. Kirsha is happy as she loves animals. Dipi warns Yashvi not to slack off. Dipi watches the rest of them head off.
Parklands
Amy and Aaron are sitting on a wall. Amy admits going to see Leo was a mistake. Hearing it from him was what she needed. She saw him talking to a girl from across the complex, Amy doesn't know her. Amy tearfully insists she wasn't stalking and she knows she will need to get over Leo. She has tried to get over Leo but doesn't expand on this. She's struggling with the fact she has met Leo and she's not able to be with him. Amy gets a text from Roger thanking her for last night and telling her she's awesome. When Aaron asks about the text, she angrily tells him to leave things alone. Aaron wants to go to Anzac Day so Amy tells him to go. Aaron leaves.
The Waterhole
People are taking part in a money spinner on the floor which Gary seems to be organising. Elly answers her phone to Finn, she tells him she's heading to Paige and Mark's for a barbecue later. She's happy for him to come too.
Yashvi is watching the game then volunteers to take part. Gary questions her age, Yashvi claims she's old enough. Gary isn't convinced and tells her to come back next year.
David comes over from the game to greet Aaron who has just arrived. Aaron isn't sure how Amy is doing after everything that's happened with Leo. David offers to check on Amy. Aaron happily agrees and tells David where Amy is.
Parklands
David has found Amy who is still tearful, she thought he would be at work as bank holidays are busy. David explains he's on call. David tells Amy he saw Aaron at the Waterhole. Amy wants to know if Aaron told David how horrible she was to Aaron. David tells Amy that Aaron is worried about her. Amy thinks Aaron has been too nice to her after she was horrible. Amy was all over the place but Aaron was also feeling down about Nate. Amy admits it's due to Leo but says she is fine.
AMY: I'm trying so hard to let go and be ok with everything but I... I feel trapped.
Amy doesn't know what to do, David suggests talking to a professional counsellor and the whole family should do this. Amy apologises for being out of order and being emotional and erratic. David understands she's hurting and they hug.
No.24 Backyard
Finn and Elly are heading out to the swimming pool. Elly wants to know how things are going living with Terese. Finn hasn't had any problems as he has hardly been there, Elly remembers that he spends most of his time at the school! Elly tells Paige and Aaron how dedicated Finn is to his job. Paige mentions that Shane's daughters are coming to the school. Finn enjoys a challenge! Paige wants the meat like charcoal but Mark tells her to watch her sodium levels. Paige and Elly aren't so impressed, so Mark asks for Finn's opinion. He's keeping out of it! Mark isn't so impressed with Paige having alcohol as the books say the opposite. Paige has an intake of breath and Mark is concerned. Paige has got a tightness in her belly so Mark wants to take her to the hospital to get her checked out. Paige tells him it's a twinge but Mark insists on taking her.
No.26
Kirsha, Xanthe and Jimmy are talking about homing pigeons. Kirsha wants to know if they're worried about them flying too far away. Jimmy thinks it's in their DNA, Kirsha thinks it's how they're trained. Xanthe thinks they're both right.
The Waterhole
Piper and Ben have nearly finished with the cookies but Piper has saved the last one for Tyler. It slips off the tray but Tyler neatly catches it. Tyler invites them to the barbecue but Ben is going to spend time with Xanthe. Piper is still completing her shift.
Yashvi is trying to convince Gary that she looks younger than she actually is. He refuses to believe her and wanders off Piper comes over and asks where Yashvi's biscuits are. Yashvi reports that she has handed them all out. Piper is cynical and Yashvi admits she handed out the ones she didn't eat herself. Yashvi wants to stay here but Piper tells her they need to go back to Harold's. Tyler comes over to see if they need a hand.
YASHVI: Not as badly as you need a haircut! Check out the man bun.
Tyler explains that Piper is used to it as she is his girlfriend. Yashvi apologises and Tyler tells her she needs to apologise to someone else.
No.26
Amy and Steph are sitting on the couch. Amy explains that the plus of Roger was that he lives on base in Darwin. He would disappear after the service. Amy thinks she's a terrible person but Steph doesn't agree. Steph points out that Amy didn't promise anything and things happen. Amy reminds Steph that Amy used Roger to get over other stuff. Amy doesn't think it's fair, Steph points out Amy has learnt her lesson about rebounding. Steph thinks that Amy should try counselling, Amy wouldn't manage to afford it. Steph explains that Amy's GP can help get the sessions with a mental health plan. Amy seems to consider it.
STEPH: Trust the crazy woman. She knows.
Steph tells Amy she's here for her.
The Waterhole
Gary is carrying on with the money spinner. David comes in and goes to talk to Aaron. David tells Aaron he was right about Amy. David says that Amy is a mess but he hopes that Amy will be alright. Aaron thinks that David is really inspiring confidence! David tells Aaron that Amy was feeling bad about her chat with Aaron plus Aaron was feeling down about Nate. Aaron reassures David that he's not in love with Nate, Anzac Day has brought back memories. David reminds Aaron that it's not easy having the Tanaka surname either. Aaron is surprised as he thought people had got perspective over the years.
Harold's Cafe
Dipi is pleased that the trays are clear of biscuits, everyone seems to love biscuits. Piper reports that everyone loved these biscuits. When prompted Yashvi agrees that things were good. Dipi hopes that Yashvi hasn't shamed the cafe already. Yashvi claims innocence over this! Dipi wants the truth about what happened. Piper tells Dipi that Yashvi was a trooper and finished her tray first. Kirsha and Xanthe arrive. Kirsha tells them they met lots of people as Xanthe knows so many people. They also saw the racing pigeon. Dipi is pleased it went well. Xanthe and Ben are going to chuck a frisbee by the lake and invite the others along. Yashvi and Kirsha are happy to come too but Dipi says they're needed to help at the cafe. Dipi suggests they do this another day which Xanthe happily agrees to. Piper and Kirsha go and clear the tables while Dipi gets Yashvi to grudgingly wash the pots and pans.
No.24 Backyard
Elly, Finn and Tyler are standing by the barbecue. Elly thinks that if Mark keeps acting this way he will drive himself mad. Tyler points out it's understandable as Mark is still getting over what has happened. Elly wonders if Paige and Mark living together is a good idea. Mark is reminded every day what could have been. Tyler is ok with it. Finn explains that psychologists report it can help with grieving. Elly will support Mark if he wants to do this.
Jack turns up with more meat and thinks he's too late. He asks where Paige is.
Erinsborough Hospital
Paige points out that she told him there was nothing to worry about. Mark doesn't think Braxton Hicks are nothing. Paige thinks it's a natural stage of pregnancy and he overreacted about one tightness in her tummy. Mark apologises. Paige now has to go and cook her steak again. Mark thinks it will be burnt in the perfect way.
Jack turns up and asks if she and the baby are ok. Paige reassures him they're fine, they had a false alarm. Mark goes to get the car. Jack thinks Paige should have contacted him. Paige points out he was busy in the city, Jack was happy to drop everything. Paige will remember that. Jack had worried when he heard she was at the hospital, Paige apologises. She sometimes thinks she's coping as a single parent and forgets how involved he is. She trusts him so he tells her to lean on him. He takes his role seriously as the baby's father. She should call him when she needs to, even for her meat cravings before dawn! For them both he's willing to do anything.
Harold's Cafe
Dipi tells Piper it's time to go home, Piper's done enough to help out. Dipi gives credit for the positive feedback about the Anzac biscuits. Dipi is convinced they'll start a great life here. Piper agrees it's a great place. When asked, Kirsha agrees it's better than she expected it to be. Yashvi tries leaving as she has done all the pots and pans but Dipi calls her back. Yashvi wants to have a look around. Dipi checks that Yashvi only wants to look around, she does. Dipi wants Yashvi to behave herself. Yashvi promises she will keep her nose and there'll be no more fireworks. She will have a fresh start and it will be different.
In the City
David and Aaron are walking along. David isn't sure about this and doesn't know how to feel on Anzac Day. He feels Australian and he's lived here all of his life. Aaron points out he is Australian. David explains some of his family were fighting on the Japanese side. Aaron reminds David that all of them were people.
AARON: Some of them were brave, some of them were miles away from home, scared.
Aaron wonders if they didn't know the reason why they were fighting. David realises that Aaron has put a lot of thought into this. They owe it to all those who died. If they don't think about these people they can't make the world a better place.
No.24
Mark is reading on his bed when Paige comes in. Mark wants to know if she needs something, Paige wants him to chill out. Having a pregnant woman in the house can't be very easy. Mark reassures her it's ok. Paige thinks today shouldn't have worked out the way it did and thinks maybe her being her is a problem. Mark assures her it isn't, he overreacted and promises it won't happen again. Paige is relieved as she enjoys being here. She wants him to care but not as much as he is doing. Paige cuddles up to him and comments she is fat. Mark agrees she is big.
In the City
David wants to know if Aaron is planning to do more with the motivational thing. Aaron agrees he was quite inspirational so there might be hope, David agrees with this.
DAVID: There's always hope. At least that's how I feel when I'm around you. You see the best in everything, in everyone.
David leans over to kiss Aaron but Aaron stops him wondering what he's doing. David thought that Aaron wanted this. David apologises and leaves. Aaron calls after him.
