Number 22 Backyard
Everyone sits in stunned silence while Paige admits the pregnancy was a shock to her too, but she's come to terms with it. She tells them she's in her second trimester but the father isn't in the picture, which sets warning bells off in Piper's mind. Lauren and Brad want to chat more with Paige (while Terese fixates on the salad because, y'know, awkward), but Paige decides to leave rather than face more questions.

The Waterhole
Xanthe is telling her Dad and Gran about summer school, which isn't going too well.

XANTHE: All the kids in my class are so super smart. Honestly, the only question I understood was when Li-Kim asked to go to the bathroom.

But Xanthe is going to persevere no matter what. Gary and Sheila let her know they're proud of her. Gary has concerns with Xanthe wearing the diamond ring from her mother, though, and is worried people (aka the Kennedys) might think she's being blasé about the fake jewels. Sheila and Xanthe are all 'to hell with the Kennedys!' but idea of being in debt is weighing heavily on Gary's mind.

Aaron walks in and compliments Xanthe on her "geek chic" outfit before being leapt on by Leo, who has a job offer with Aaron's name on it to promote the Men's Shed. Aaron says he's going to have to run it by Amy first because he doesn't want to make his friend uncomfortable by spending time with Leo.

Lassiter's Complex
Gary throws a few nervous glances to the police station behind him before making a phone call to dodgy Kev. He says he's ready to start the dodgy job just as soon as Kev texts him the dodgy details.

Over on the park bench, Paige is relaying the awkward 'surprise I'm pregnant' conversation to David. He tells her she was brave but also cautions her on keeping the father a secret: "Not knowing who my dad is hasn't been easy for me or Leo". Paige acknowledges his input but says the truth will do more harm than good - and then proceeds to stare at Jack while he crosses the bridge behind them. David also looks but doesn't make the connection because he obviously hasn't seen a soap opera in his entire life. Paige says that at least her pregnancy news has taken the heat off Piper's love life for a while.

Number 32
Lauren, Brad and Ned are pondering over who the baby's father could be. Lauren brings up Dustin, Jack's mate from Blaze Outreach, but then Brad realises the baby-daddy could be Tyler. Ned says they should just let Paige deal with things in her own way, but Brad says it may involve Piper too and she'll be devastated if it turns out to be true. But regardless of the outcome, Lauren and Brad vow to support Paige.

Harold's Café
Tyler thinks Piper looks upset because her family harangued her at lunch but Piper blurts out that Paige is pregnant - and he could be the dad. Tyler looks overwhelmed at the thought of Paige possibly having a man-bun in the oven.

Lassiter's Complex
Gary stands near a bike rack and tries not to look dodgy as he pockets a key.

Church Rec Centre
Amy and Jack are getting things set up to open the centre formerly known as Blaze Outreach (aka Off Air aka Pirate Net). Aaron promises Amy that whatever happens with Leo that it's just purely business. Amy looks perturbed but gives Aaron her blessing to take the job.

Jack says that Amy was acting selflessly putting Aaron's feelings before her own. Amy admits that she's not quite over what happened with Leo, and she'll be hurt if Aaron and Leo become best mates, but she's not going to stand in Aaron's way. Jack says Amy should tell Aaron about her concerns but Amy doesn't want to "sound like a diva".

Outside of the centre Jack sees Paige. She's looking for David but he's running an errand at The Waterhole. Jack says the rec centre has been a lot of hard work but it's come together nicely and he's in his element. This weighs on Paige's mind.

PAIGE: So you made the right decision being a priest?
JACK: Setting up this place and working with the community, it's really fulfilling.

Jack invites her to wait inside to escape the heat but Paige makes another hasty exit.

Lassiter's Car Park
Gary has keys for some poor sod's car and it appears as though he has to steal something from the boot. But just as he pops it open, Xanthe strolls by to say g'day. She tries to ask him for a lift to the rec centre, but Gary says he's just looking after a guest's car and has too many jobs on at the moment. Xanthe says her dad's off the hook this time, but only if he comes to watch her play dodgeball tomorrow. Gary agrees but winces when Xanthe closes the boot for him and appears to have a crisis of conscience.

Number 32 Backyard
Ned is sketching by the pool when Paige sits with him and assumes he's heard about the pregnancy. He wasn't sure if he should say congrats or not, but he did draw a tattoo sketch of a pregnant superhero woman with boxing gloves to give her. Paige is touched. She thanks him for not asking her millions of questions. Ned says it's none of his business but that Lauren and Brad are pretty worried about her.

Paige says it's bizarre to think that she had so many kid-related problems with Mark not that long ago and now she's pregnant and alone. Ned smiles and says she's not alone. Case in point: when Lauren walks out and Paige says she can't deal with questions right now, but Lauren just wants to hug her daughter. Both of them miss Tyler loitering in the background, not wanting to interrupt the moment.

Church Rec Centre
Xanthe and David have joined Jack and Amy to help set up the place for the dodgeball competition. Sheila drops by with some food and the Number 26 women chat about trying to buoy Gary's spirits by asking him to umpire the dodgy (I mean dodge) ball match.

Number 32
Paige reassures her mum and dad that she's OK but Brad 'Five Million Children Coming Out of the Woodworks' Willis warns her "parenting is a long haul". Paige says she's not being naïve, she saw what Amber had to go through. She just wishes she didn't have to experience everything as a single parent - but she's sure she's made the right decision. Brad wonders if Paige is keeping quiet because the guy might be someone they know, heavily indicating Tyler, but Paige emphatically says it's not Tyler. Lauren says Paige could at least tell them who the father is (or Father with a capital F in this case), but Paige does her third quick exit of the episode.

Ramsay Street
Tyler sits with Piper on the nature strip and says he didn't ask Paige about the baby. The mood between them is sombre as they discuss a possible future with a baby included. Tyler says if it's his then he wants to be there for it, which Piper agrees with. Piper knows Paige is strong but it's not just about her anymore, she'll need support.

PIPER: If the baby's yours then you need to be there for it. But I can't be a part of it, Tyler. I can't be hanging around.
TYLER: I wouldn't expect you to. Pipes I love you, more than anything.
PIPER: I love you too.

They share a hug just as Paige comes bounding outside to let them know that Tyler isn't the baby's father: "I'm a hundred per cent sure, I know by the dates". Piper and Tyler are relieved and Paige says she's happy she hasn't wrecked everything for them.

Church Rec Centre
David checks with Amy if she asked Sonya to stop by in the morning to cut the ribbon for the opening, but Amy says Jack was going to ask her. Aaron drops by and David does a Paige-style quick exit to "make a call". Amy heeds Jack's advice from earlier and alludes to feeling a bit wary about Aaron hanging out with Leo. But Aaron knows where this is heading and promises Amy that no matter what, they'll be besties forever and he'll always put her first.

Brad drops off some spare keys to Jack and admits that it's a bit awkward not being a part of the centre anymore but Jack's doing good work with the kids. He asks Jack if his pal Dustin has been around lately and Jack says he pops back and forth to Queensland, "but I did see him with Paige not too long ago". This intrigues Brad.

Harold's Café
Gary gets a 'where are you?' text from dodgy Kev after not going through with the job, but he gets a second wind and decides to head back to the car park.

Piper and Tyler chat about the whirlwind few hours they just had.

PIPER: If someone would have said this morning that all our problems would seem like small fry, I would have said get your head read.
TYLER: I'm not sure everything else is small fry exactly.
PIPER: ... Medium fry.

Tyler says they still have her parents to deal with, and the fact that he needs a new job, but Piper says they'll figure things out. Tyler wonders if Paige is OK and Piper feels guilty for running off when Paige had so much stuff going on, but Tyler says it good she's got her sister's back.

Number 32/Lassiter's Rotunda
Brad tells Lauren that Dustin is a possibility for the baby-daddy sweepstakes. He thinks Dustin should know the truth if he is but Lauren says to give Paige some time to work things out. Brad sees Paige's old teddy bear on the kitchen table and Lauren says Paige was asking her about when she was pregnant back in the day. Lauren says that when she was pregnant and alone her only outlet was her art: "that's when I drew that picture of you".

Funny that, as we see Paige sitting under the rotunda sketching a picture of Jack. She sketches a cross over and over on his shirt because the Lacoste alligator was too hard to draw. Or because her baby-daddy's a priest and it's complicated, whatever. Perhaps Ned can use it for a tattoo.

Number 22
Terese tells Brad they still need to work out what to do with Piper. Brad says he's worried about both of his daughters but right now Paige is a priority. Terese says she understands and they'll reconvene later.

Lassiter's Car Park
Gary walks out to find the car gone. Dodgy.
