Brad arrives to find Karl, Nene, Amy and Kyle sitting round the table. He asks if Doug did something inappropriate, and Nene admits she did.

Brad says that what she did is twisted, and Amy says that Nene has problems too. Karl says that he's insisted that Nene get medical help. He's not going to report her, but Brad is well within his rights to do so.
BRAD: Well, I'm not the one you need to convince.
Tom tells Aaron that Archie is a brat, and his dad always concentrated on his new family, which was tough on him and Shay and their mother. He adds that it wasn't fair leaving Julie in charge. Aaron gets an email, and Tom asks who wrote the environmental report. Aaron says it's confidential, but Tom assures him it isn't... and Aaron tells him it's Joseph.

Piper points out that Josh and Imogen have people around all the time.
TERESE: Yes, because they are older. And they haven't been sneaking about for the last year lying about their relationships.
Brodie says he's happy moving out, so Piper says she's moving out as well.
Amy says she can't believe how understanding Doug was. Now they can focus on getting her better, and it's good she can keep an eye on her. Kyle doesn't think Nene staying is a good idea.

Brad and Terese are talking about Piper, and whether she'll go through with moving out with Brodie. Doug comes up to them and comments that Ned has always been a troublemaker.
DOUG: The best thing to do is give him some freedom, but with clear, defined boundaries. Then more often than not, he'll be responsible.
BRAD: We're talking about Piper, Dad, not Ned. Ned's my son with Beth.
DOUG: I know that.
TERESE: Wrong kid... but it's actually not bad advice.

He promises to think about it. Amy asks if he's really going to think about it, and says that Nene needs support. Nene was worried about letting her down, and now she's letting Nene down.
AMY: I knew something was strange when she turned up unanounced. Why didn't I see the signs?
Kyle sighs, and says she can stay.
Brad and Terese say they are happy for Brodie to stay subject to a few conditions: separate bedrooms; Brodie has to focus on his swimming and no more secrets. They agree.
PIPER: Thank you guys so much. You're awesome... when you're being reasonable.
BRAD: Just don't let us down.
After the parents have left, Piper is thrilled, Brodie less so. He is still worried about Brad, but Piper tells him not to be paranoid.
Kyle tells Karl that having Nene in the house is like having two kids around. He says Amy loves her mum so he's going to have to learn to love her too. He admits that he and Amy are having some problems, but adds that he can't change his mind on letting Nene stay.
KARL: You know, if you're unhappy, you have to say something and stick to your guns... even if it makes you the bad guy.

Tom says he's heard the report isn't positive, but has decided he shouldn't blame himself when it was Julie's idea. He says he wants to focus on the positive things, like Aaron. Aaron insists he has to work, well, he does for about ten seconds: then he agrees to a half hour break. After dinner, Tom asks if he can stay. Aaron tries to put him off, but then changes his mind. Tom "accidentally" throws wine over him and Aaron goes to get changed. Tom saves the report to a memory stick.
