Harold's café
Christmas has come to Neighbours with the café all decked out in Christmas decorations as Josh discusses what activities he can do with Doug that day, like visiting the G. Doug however would rather spend time with Matilda and Piper pipes up to say the ban Amber has put on Josh spending time with his daughter isn't right but he doesn't think she will change her mind, so agrees to what Amber has implemented.

Number 26
Sheila shares the good news with Kyle that the bank have approved a loan for her to buy the house. She's on another high too - her first Airbnb guest is arriving and ropes Kyle in to making sure the house is ship shape for her arrival.

Harold's café
Doug tries to persuade Amber to change her mind about the ban, commenting to her that it's making Josh feel like a failure. "That wasn't my intention," she explains to him and concedes to talk to Josh about it.

As Tyler bemoans to Piper about the amount of work building up in the garage since Steph left, he finds himself employing her to help with the paperwork after she explained about helping her host family in Canada with their books for the business they ran.

The Waterhole
Terese is impressed with the work Shay has done on the budgets and invites her to join them tomorrow for Christmas lunch after discovering Shay had no plans as she assumed she'd be working.

Harold's café
Aaron asks for Amber's eyes to check the poster he's doing asking for witnesses to the Paul/Steph car crash (Paul's not asked him, but he wants to help).

Terese isn't sure about Piper taking on the job at the garage but the offer to donate some of her earnings to the school rebuild fund convinces her to give Piper her blessing.

Susan and Piper trade places and Terese tells her that the counselling is going well although she's still determined to get to the bottom of it as the psychologist suggested it was motivated by a need for attention.

After Terese makes a comment about her and Shay clicking, Susan said it must be the Perth connection, which puzzles Terese as Shay said during their chat in The Waterhole that she'd never been to Perth, and thinks it must be a misunderstanding.

Number 26
Sheila catches Amy/Kyle checking on news about Naomi in LA rather than cleaning up the room for their guest and orders them to make sure the toilet paper is folded while she goes answer the door to said guest. Sheila leads Indiana into her room and does the intros with Kyle/Amy/Bossy.

The Waterhole
Following on from her conversation with Susan, Terese has got hold of Shay's CV after admitting that she knew nothing about her background as head office made the appointment when she was in hospital.

Terese now runs into Shay to talk over what she didn't see on it - gaps in her employment history until Shay explains that the Sydney position was her only job and she put in the work/study to get where she is. Shay wants to know why she's asking questions and thinks Terese is unhappy with her work but Terese is quick to reassure her that she's happy with her work. Terese raises the Perth question and Shay now says she has been to Perth when she was much younger and though the earlier question was about living in Perth.

Meanwhile Sheila is picking up a bottle of bubbly to celebrate their houseguest and about buying #26 although as she chats with Nate, he drops hints that she shouldn't be looking long term for Kyle/Amy's rent contribution as they could be looking to get a place of their own.

Lassiters Complex
On leaving the bar, Shay makes a call to someone to tell them about Terese checking her CV and being suss. "I don't think I have that much time," she adds to the caller.

Harold's café
Doug announces that he's heading home with Susan so Amber decides it's time for a chat with Josh. She begins by apologising for shaking his confidence and explains she only said what she did because she's worried for Matilda. He gets that and admits that being a dad is hard because you don't get the "up close personal bonding" and have "no control over what happens and sometimes no matter what you try, it doesn't work anyway" but does add that he was just "starting to figure out what I'm doing." Amber admits she's figuring it all out as she goes along too and asks if there is something else going on because she's seen him with a distant look in his eyes? Josh looks like he wants to say something else but instead says that he is worried about Doug, so she suggests the pair of them spend time with Matilda to help get his confidence back. "Thank you," he replies and agrees, somewhat hesitantly, to drive mother/daughter to the hospital for her check-up.

Number 26
Kyle checks up on how Indiana is settling in (fine) and the pair of them chat about Bossy before she explains to him the reason for her travelling - splitting up with her ex.

Ramsay Street
As they walk home, Doug tells Susan about how he's coping with his illness and having good/bad days.

Terese beats them home and asks Doug about a catch up with an old friend (Raymond Lim) that he missed last week (Raymond contacted Terese). Doug looks quite disorientated and announces that he's got somewhere to go but refuses Terese's offer to drive him wherever it is he is heading to.

Number 22
Shay is photographing pages of the personnel files (Terese said they were at home) and finishes just as Terese enters the house.

"What are you doing in my house," Terese asks and Shay explains she thought she heard her say come in to the sunroom. Terese isn't really buying it so again asks what she is doing, so Shay reminds her that she was told to come over any time.

Terse then spots the personnel files and thinks that Shay has taken something, which she is quick to say she didn't, but as Terese is looking through her bag, discovers the photo of Shay/Terese. "Is this me?" Terese asks but Shay quickly grabs the photo and puts it back in her bag and proves to her boss she didn't take anything by showing her an empty handbag. "I honestly just came her to have a drink with you," Shay explains but Terese isn't buying it and so Shay announces that she's leaving.

Number 26
In the backyard, Indiana witnesses Sheila ranting off at Kyle about her plans to go back to school being on hold with her buying the house (for him and Amy) instead. They seem embarrassed/puzzled by Sheila's outburst as Indiana does.

Number 22
Susan arrives to check on Doug but instead finds herself listening to Terese telling her what Shay did. Terese explains to her about the digging into Shay's background and finding gaps in her CV. Susan wonders if the police should be involved but Terese doesn't think there is enough evidence for that but tells her what she did find - the photo. Susan mentions about seeing a photo but it was folded in half so didn't see what was on the back, just that it was taken on Cottesloe Beach. The mention of that name has Terese puzzled as there is a Lassiters hotel there but doesn't recall meeting Shay there, just at a conference in Sydney a couple of years ago. "But that photo tells a different story," she says then recalls running the children's programme at that hotel.

TERESE: Why would she have a photo of us?
SUSAN: And why would she be so secretive about it?
TERESE: Yes. I don't know but I certainly don't think she can be trusted.

Ramsay Street
Josh finds Aaron delivering the flyer about the accident in Ramsay Street and Aaron asks for his help in distributing them if he isn't busy. "How do you know about this?" Josh asks after reading the flyer and Aaron explains via Mark. Josh thinks he's wasting his time, whoever it was will be long gone now but that part is irrelevant to Aaron, he just wants whoever was responsible caught. Josh tells him that he can't help as he's got stuff to do and once Aaron leaves, he walks towards the front door of #22 and calls Amber to say he can't make the appointment at the hospital.

Garage
Tyler finishes giving Piper instructions on what needs doing when Josh arrives to drop off his car. He seems extremely surprised to see his sister there, and Tyler explains she's his new apprentice before going to see what Josh is after. Josh explains he needs a busted taillight sorted and after checking out the damage, Tyler reckons he'll get the job completed that day.
