No. 22
Imogen can't believe that Josh won't support Terese, but she reminds her that he's always had a close relationship with Brad. Imogen insists that all of the Willis children should be supporting their mum and suggests telling Piper what has happened, but Terese doesn't want to upset Piper during her exams.
IMOGEN: She needs to know what Dad did. That he left us, without even trying to work things out.
TERESE: Look, I don't want to turn this into a war. Your father loves you.
IMOGEN: And he's supposed to love you too, Mum. You're allowed to be angry at Dad for what he did, and I'm going to support you, all the way.
Off Air - Beer Garden
Josh joins Brad outside, and tells him he wants to move into the motel as he wants to teach Terese that there are consequences for always being negative to everyone. Brad tries to convince Josh that his affair wasn't Terese's fault. Josh asks if Brad now has feelings for Lauren, but he avoids the question and tells Josh to support his mother.
No. 24
Names are being thrown around for the new purchase of the garage (Brennan & Sons, or Brennan Land!). Russell states that he and Tyler will run the garage before the other two can help out, and Tyler reluctantly agrees. Aaron suggests that Tyler sacrifices his salary in order to become a partner, but Tyler says that Mark knows well that he isn't the type to commit to things and walks out, leaving everyone confused.
The Waterhole
Courtney apologises for being late for her shift (she lost her keys in the fridge!), and Nate isn't impressed. He confesses that he's been rattled by Aaron's confession about having feelings for him, and has convinced himself that it's just a joke as part of their one-upmanship. Courtney offers to suss out Aaron for him as she's a body language expert.
Off Air
Aaron flirts with Nate at the bar, as Courtney spies from a table with Amber and Josh. Nate asks for feedback, and the girls both conclude that Aaron is giving out very mixed messages, which means he's still making up his mind. Courtney and Amber decide they need further time for assessment - and more snacks.
Lassiter's Grounds
Lauren catches Brad doing a workout, and he says that Susan has been understanding about his situation at home. They decide it's still dangerous to be seen together, but end up going on a walk anyway. Lauren confesses that she's been hiding away, but tells Brad not to worry about her.
No. 24
Tyler comes home in a hostile mood. Russell says he'll be sticking around permanently so tells Tyler to change his attitude. He warns Tyler that he only arrived to straighten him out, and that he needs to stop moping around him as Sheila and his brothers have begun to notice.
TYLER: Why should I pretend we're good?
RUSSELL: This isn't a joke Tyler. If you keep up with this attitude, you're going to stuff things between me and your brothers.
TYLER: What, because they're more important?
They move to the lounge, and Tyler confesses that he's told Karl and Susan about Russell's abuse. Russell isn't happy as they'll have been gossiping to Sheila.
RUSSELL: What do you want, an apology on a silver platter?
TYLER: An apology of any kind; some acknowledgement that it actually happened. You beat your own son, I was just a kid!
RUSSELL: And now you're a man, grow up and deal with it!
Russell starts jabbing Tyler in the chest, but Tyler swings a punch and knocks him to the sofa.
TYLER: Deal with that, you coward.
Park
Brad and Lauren continue their stroll, and can't decide if it's fate or torture that keeps bringing them together. Brad suggests that once the dust has settled, this could finally be their time together. Lauren acts coy about the fact she revealed she always had feelings for Brad, and he admits that he has feelings too.
LAUREN: Listen, I have to ask, is there a chance that you and Terese might get back together?
BRAD: We can't, it's over.
LAUREN: So what now?
BRAD: Well in a normal situation, without all the surrounding complications, we'd be looking for ways to spend time together.
LAUREN: But this isn't a normal situation.
They both agree that timing is everything and are about to kiss, but Lauren breaks away before their innocent walk turns into something else.
No. 24
Mark returns home with food for a barbeque and notices that Russell has a fat lip. Mark immediately suspects Tyler, but Russell tries to insist that he forgets about it. It's too late though, and Mark has stormed out to search for Tyler.
Off Air
Courtney and Amber are giving each other body language advice, and Josh laments that he should have paid more attention to the body language between his parents. Imogen arrives and agrees with Josh that Amber and Courtney's friendship is strange. Josh tells Imogen not to see their parent's split in black and white, but Imogen reminds him of all the times that Terese has supported him. Josh agrees, and tells Imogen that Brad didn't seem like he wanted to reunite with Terese.
IMOGEN: Did he mention Lauren?
JOSH: We need to prepare ourselves for the possibility that he may choose her over Mum.
The Waterhole
Mark finds Tyler playing darts, and lays into him for punching Russell. Tyler finally musters the courage to speak up, and points out the hypocrisy that Russell is allowed to beat him up.
MARK: What are you talking about?
TYLER: Dad hit me Mark. I'm not talking about little love taps, or pushing and shoving. He beat me. If I didn't put the cap on the coolant properly, or if I forgot to leave my shoes outside, he'd knock me senseless.
MARK: And there's no chance you're exaggerating the situation?
TYLER: Wait, are you saying I'm lying?
MARK: I'm just saying, you've got a history of making things up to explain your bad behaviour.
TYLER: You don't believe me.
Harold's Kitchen
Imogen bursts in and warns Lauren to stay away from Brad, and Lauren lets slip about their walk. She reminds Lauren of the pain she's causing Terese, as well as all of the children.
IMOGEN: My parents might not be ready to fight for their marriage, but I certainly am. And I'm here to tell you to back off.
Off Air
Nate and Aaron are interrupted from chatting at the bar when Aaron gets a phone call from Mark and has to leave. Courtney and Amber assure Nate that Aaron fancies him, who shouts for Nate to call him later, confirming to the girls that their instincts were right. Josh suggests staying with Courtney for a few nights, but her expert body language skills are warning her that things are getting too serious too quickly, and she breaks things off with him.
Ramsay Street - No. 24 Drive
Mark fills Aaron in with what Tyler said. Aaron confesses that whilst Russell never hit him, he had a much shorter temper once Mark had left. He admits that there was one incident that could have escalated, and things could have got worse after Aaron moved out.
Lassiter's Complex
Lauren is startled by Brad whilst clearing tables, and tells him about Imogen's warning. They both resolve to put their children's needs first, and to stay away from each other for the time being.
No. 22
Josh returns home and confesses that he overreacted. Terese is delighted he's back and promises to keep him out of her arguments with Brad. Imogen hints that Terese will have all three of her children around her soon - she has transferred her plane ticket to see Piper in Canada, so that Piper can come home instead. Terese is overwhelmed with joy and brings Josh and Imogen for a big family cuddle.
No. 24
Aaron and Mark are worried about Tyler's whereabouts when Russell returns home to set up the barbeque. Mark informs Russell that Tyler has told him about their past.
MARK: You got anything you want to say?
RUSSELL: I was in a bad way Mark. The divorce. I was a total mess. Aaron had shot through, I hadn't spoken to you on the phone for more than a year.
MARK: So you took it out on Tyler? A thirteen year old kid, unable to defend himself?
RUSSELL: Tyler was always able to defend himself. Hard-headed in every sense of the word.
MARK: So you admit it, you hit him?
RUSSELL: Rehashing it all now isn't going to change anything.
MARK: Yes or no?
RUSSELL: I might have! But everything's different now, now that we're all together again. The Brennan boys! It'll be alright!
Aaron and Mark look disgusted at Russell's confession.
