- Sharon Canning trying to tempt Matt to her room.
- Matt trying to explain himself to Lauren.
- Brad shocked to hear what Matt has done.
- Matt asking if Lauren is after a divorce.
- Georgia overhearing Matt talking to Paul about the plans for Hobart!
Georgia confronts Nick about his conversation with Paul and departs upset after calling him a pig!
Since Lauren is avoiding talking to Matt at home, he decides to try and talk to her at work but finds he gets the brush off there too. Things are rather tense as they talk and eventually both look relieved when Matt gets a text from Mark asking to meet him.
Georgia has told Kyle and he isn't too chuffed and wants to go 'have a word' until she stops him. She feels stupid at not picking up the signs from the start and is reluctant to put in a complaint as it will be his word against hers and doesn't think she will be believed.
Sheila fails to get the info from Terese on who the star performer is going to be as her attention is more focused on problems at the hotel (staff haven't turned up).
Matt is a bit surprised to see Sharon Canning back in town as he's sitting having a quiet drink especially when she goes on about him doing a runner the last time! He apologises if he mislead her and her attention is then drawn to greeting her son as Kyle arrives in the bar. Sharon/Sheila greet each other very civilly and Kyle goes to start filling them in on what's happened to Georgia.
Terese escorts a guest into their hotel room and isn't amused to see it's not been serviced and immediately apologises to the said guest. The guest is cool with it and explains that she actually once worked in the hotel.
TERESE: I was going to say you do look a little bit familiar.
The guest in question is none other than Nina Tucker (but she's used the false name Florence Arno to book into the hotel with) and explains that she hasn't met Terese. Nina turns down the offer of a free spa treatment (to allow her room to be serviced) in favour of a walk to catch up with some people.
Sheila isn't mincing her words at her description of Paul for his role in the bet and thinks that Nick is worse! Sharon suggests that Kyle should be pleased and proud at them betting on what he has! That comment is enough to send him back to work and when he leaves, Sheila tries (and fails) to have a word with her daughter in law and seems pleased to inform her that there is no room at #26, and that she will need to book into Lassiters.
After Lauren failed to spot her step- sister, it's Lou who immediately recognises Nina when he comes out of the kitchen and greets her warmly with a big hug. Susan immediately knows who she is too when she enters the store and cue more warm hugs. Nina explains to them both that she's not appearing at the concert, rather trying to stay under the radar.
Brad decides it's time for Lauren to open up as he could sense things were tense earlier when she was talking to Matt.
LAUREN: At the moment I just feel like I'm stumbling through, hoping for some miracle is going to fall out of the sky and fix this.
BRAD: Yes, I bet.
She knows it's unrealistic but equally admits that she can't face it just now either.
LAUREN: Matt has made the biggest mistake of his life, I know I've made mistakes too, but nothing like this. It's different.
BRAD: You don't feel like you could forgive him?
LAUREN: (shaking her head) What if I never can? Mmm. What then?
Brad tells her to give it time but all she can think about is the example they're setting Amber ahead of her saying her vows.
BRAD: What you're going through is real life alright, it's not always rose petals and honeymoons. You guys are going to get through this, you have before.
LAUREN: It's never been this bad. Brad, it's never been like this.
Brad pulls Lauren in for a comforting hug as Matt watches on unseen having entered the complex as they were talking.
Matt arrives home and immediately opens a bottle of beer. Lauren comments on it when she arrives home moments later and is told to go "hug it out with Brad." She explains that she was upset and why she talked to Brad about what's going on and that he'll stay quiet, although Matt's not happy at her doing that.
LAUREN: This is happening to me too you know.
MATT: You still shouldn't be talking to him.
LAUREN: All our lives have been turned upside down because of every decision you've made lately, so you're not the only one who gets to struggle with this Matt.
She then has a dig at him drinking in the middle of the day but he's more peeved at her choosing to unload to Brad and ask why.
LAUREN: Because I have every right to share it with a friend.
MATT: And I trusted you to keep it between us.
LAUREN: TRUST!!! YOU WANT TO TALK TO ME ABOUT TRUST. I made one mistake with Brad in Adelaide, how you can compare that with your constant lies and your betrayal I have no idea.
Nina is filling Lou and Susan in on her Bollywood/music career and they in turn reminisce about Connor entering her in the Uni FM contest. She explains that Jack isn't with her as he's busy on the soccer circuit and turns down the offer of staying put to chat more with Lou in favour to go for a walk but preferably without seeing Paul. You're staying in his hotel Susan points out and offers to have a word with the manager.
Lassiters Complex/Community Centre/Ramsay Street
Over the strains of 'Born to try' Nina pays a visit to familiar haunts and faces including a photo of herself/Jack in Amber's display.
Nick tries to say that it was a joke, done to let off steam, after Georgia hands him all her work to do with fundraising for the new cancer centre. Georgia's reply is to throw her drink over him... over a certain part of his body!!!
GEORGIA: That's how I let off steam. You're right, it's very important!
As the random extras start laughing once Georgia has walked away, Nick yells out for them not to laugh at him and to get back to work!
Brad catches up with his wife on one of the hotel corridors to hand over a bunch of flowers to help brighten up her day. When they discuss Matt/Lauren and that he had a word with Lauren, Terese asks if the flowers are out of guilt! Brad quickly denies this, but she's just teasing him, saying that they are all friends and he can be concerned.
"I reckon he got of lightly," Kyle comments after Georgia has filled him in on what she did to Nick in one of the hospital rooms. She's concerned that her behaviour wasn't professional but Kyle remind her that he wasn't.
GEROGIA: Have you ever heard of pride coming before a fall? Truth is I like the attention, I liked the praise, I was flattered by it.
KYLE: Who wouldn't be?
GEROGIA: A lot of people actually. I feel like a part of me was really enjoying getting that kind of attention from a suave, accomplished doctor and I don't feel like I deserve all of the support and understanding from you.
"We got married," Kyle reminds her but that doesn't mean they stop being human. Both apologise to each other and decide on working through their bucket list together starting with Georgia's one of kissing her husband more.
They are in the middle of doing just that when Nick walks in interrupting them but before he can escape, Kyle yells out that he wants a word! Kyle informs him that he won't get away with what he did, but Nick turns it around and replies that all anyone knows is what Georgia did to him.
KYLE: You go and do anything like that to my wife again then I will end you. You got it?!
KYLE: Yes, exactly what I thought... gutless.
Terese finishes her call to a troublesome employee and warns them a written warning will be forthcoming! She's made the call from Nina's room and both square off her checking in under a false name (Susan called to talk to Terese). Nina is thrilled to learn that Terese is living in her old house and satisfies Terese's curiosity about the false name she used to check in with. Terese promises to get her room finished within the hour and jokingly adds even if it means dragging someone off the street to put on a Lassiters uniform.
NINA: Wait! Are you up for a wild idea?
Matt is unloading his woes on Sharon over a glass of whisky (she's on the bubbles).
SHARON: So we're friends again are we?
MATT: I just told you how wronged I'm feeling by my wife, so...
SHARON: Without knowing all the details I'd say your feelings are perfectly justified.
Sharon tells him that the offer she made last time is still open.
MATT: I'm married.
SHARON: You're not saying no!
After a few seconds of silence, Sharon starts laughing and Matt joins in.
"How do I look?!" Nina asks having exited the bathroom wearing the Lassiters maid's uniform that Terese was previously carrying. "Are you sure you really want to do this?" Terese asks and reminds her that it isn't glamorous but Nina is looking forward to it, citing that it's something she needs to do. "Okay," is all that Terese can then say/do and reassures Nina that Paul won't pay any attention to her.
Matt and Sharon are pashing in the corridor outside her room and are unware that Terese has come across them and looks shocked at what she's witnessed.
