In the back yard, Harold is catching up with Karl and Susan, while Toadie is manning the barbecue nearby. The Kennedys are jealous of Harold's nomadic lifestyle, while Harold's pleased to see them back together. Susan asks after Carolyn.
HAROLD: She's fine. She's very well. But I'm more interested in hearing about this underwear thief. I read about it in the paper; it must be very disturbing.
Susan wonders aloud how much it would cost to install a hidden camera to help catch the thief in the act, and Karl seems oddly knowledgeable about the exact options and sums involved!
KARL: Oh, come on! What boy doesn't dream of a spy camera?
Harold mentions to Toadie that he'd like his help with a 'small legal matter' at some point while he's here. Toadie says whenever he's ready, but Harold looks worried about it.
The Waterhole
Kyle shows Georgia a guide to the Erinsborough Festival, and particularly what kids' events have been arranged - including face-painting which he's thinking of volunteering for. This gets him onto the subject of their having a child themselves, as he jokes about pregnancy cravings. Georgia smiles along, but isn't really that happy.

In the back yard, Nate is installing a hidden camera on the side of the house - while Sheila hangs some undies that Susan's donated (the cheap ones that Karl bought her!) on the washing pole, as bait for the thief! Sheila quietly mentions to Susan that Kyle and Georgia are trying for a baby; Susan pretends she's not already aware of it, and promises to keep the secret.
Toadie turns up with a message for Nate from Sonya; she needs a manager at the nursery while she's away in the US looking after injured Callum. It's 'more work, but more money'.
NATE: I appreciate the offer, but managing isn't for me. I like the job that I've got.
Toadie looks perplexed.

In the garden, Karl and Harold are still talking when Paul barges in.
PAUL: Harold - so you're here to see this train-wreck of a wedding, are you?
HAROLD: I'm fine, thank you for asking, Paul. How are you?
PAUL: Daniel tells me you approve.
HAROLD: Oh, what, and clearly you don't?
Paul starts to rant about how blind and besotted Daniel and Amber are, but Harold says he thinks they know what they're doing. As Toadie returns from a phone call, Paul suggests that Harold should tell Daniel to cancel or postpone the wedding.
HAROLD: Even if I wanted to, I don't think it would make any difference. I mean, let's face it - Daniel is Charlene's son, and she was always so strong-minded. And she got it from Madge. No wonder Daniel's the same. So was Carolyn, come to think of it - maybe I'm attracted to a certain type.
TOADIE: What do you mean, was?
Harold backtracks, saying he meant to say Carolyn 'is' strong-minded - but tells Paul he doesn't think Daniel would take any advice from him. Paul stalks off grumpily.
HAROLD: Still as charming as ever, hey?
Karl has to rush off, so Harold asks Toadie if they can talk about his legal matter now. He passes Toadie some notes, but in the process his wallet drops open on the table - and Toadie sees a picture of Madge inside it.
Harold's note reads - 'Salvation Army, Sky, Grandchildren, Animal Shelter?, Eco Charity?' He explains that he wants to change his will.
Harold's Store
Daniel is showing Amber some of Harold's photos - among them, a picture of his great-grandmother Helen Daniels and her daughter Rosemary. Then Amber finds a much older photo of a young woman, labelled 'Agnes Robinson'.
AMBER: She looks about my age. And she's got your eyes.
DANIEL: How can you tell? They're tiny, and that's in black and white.
AMBER: Not the actual eyes. The feeling behind them. She's an old soul. I wish I knew her story.
Daniel offers to ask Harold, and also sends a snap of the Agnes picture to Charlene, to see if she knows anything.
Ramsay Street
Toadie is looking at Harold's camper-van, when Sonya pulls up in the car with lots of Aussie treats she's bought for Callum. She's not sure what they're going to do now that Nate has refused the manager's job at the nursery - but Toadie says Josie has agreed to do some extra shifts, so they may just be able to cope. Noticing he seems distracted, Sonya asks what's wrong.
TOADIE: It's Harold. He's being very un-Haroldy.
He tells Sonya how Harold has a picture of Madge in his wallet, rather than Carolyn. Sonya admits she'd find it odd if Toadie had a similar picture of Dee. Toadie also explains that Harold's asked him to rewrite his will.
TOADIE: And the only people who do that are people who are having a baby, getting married, about to go on some kind of extreme sports adventure... or they think that they're about to die.
Ominous music as Toadie and Sonya look worried.
The Waterhole
Kyle is trying to hurry Georgia home for more baby-making, when Sheila shows up. She tells them that she, Chris and Nate are all out tonight, so they'll have the house to themselves for TITTNL! Kyle even consults a baby-making app, which tells him when Georgia's most fertile!
GEORGIA: Right, well that's efficient (!)
She reminds Kyle that the pill hormones are still in her system, so he tells her it will have to just be another practice session! They kiss, but Georgia looks worried. Sheila suggests she looks pale and therefore might be pregnant already, before bustling excitedly off to Susan's.
Over dinner, Amber and Daniel talk to Paul about Agnes Robinson.
AMBER: So Agnes was engaged to Frederick Ramsay.
DANIEL: He was related to the famous Black Jack Ramsay.
AMBER: And Agnes and Frederick got engaged secretly because their parents didn't want them to get married.
PAUL: Hmm. Maybe because they were far too young and they were rushing into it.
AMBER: Or perhaps no-one understood how they felt about each other.
PAUL: Well that's understandable. The Ramsays and the Robinsons have never got on with each other.
DANIEL: Yeah, and this is the reason why. Frederick went off to serve in the First World War to prove himself to Agnes's father. They planned to get married when he returned...
AMBER: ... Except he never did. Frederick died in battle, and then Agnes died of influenza. Although everyone knew that she died of a broken heart.
DANIEL: And that's the reason why the feud between the Robinsons and the Ramsays got so big; they blamed each other for what happened.
PAUL: Yeah, well. Maybe if they'd listened to their parents in the first place it wouldn't have. The whole tragedy could have been avoided.
AMBER: They loved each other. It would have been a tragedy to keep them apart.
PAUL: Well it's a good thing that Daniel's not being shipped off to war, then.
Paul walks off and leaves them to it. Amber worries that Paul will never accept her and Daniel, and thinks this must be how Agnes and Frederick felt.

Sheila is making extra-strong coffee for Nate and Susan, while they prepare to watch the live feed from the hidden camera on Susan's laptop, in the hope of catching the undies-thief. Susan takes the opportunity to interrogate Nate about why he didn't take the job at the nursery - he says he likes to stick with what he knows.
SUSAN: Before you met Chris you'd never had a serious relationship. Imagine you'd never taken a step out of that comfort zone. Maybe it's time to do the same thing in your career.
Nate leaves Sheila and Susan to watch the camera footage, but there's not a lot going on in the Cannings' back yard at present. That's until Georgia and Kyle rush into shot and start stripping for a steamy dip in the spa! Susan closes the laptop quickly, and they agree to come back to the surveillance later.

Harold and Toadie are talking through Harold's will - he's bequeathing a significant amount to the Salvation Army, since they helped him when he needed them. Toadie gently asks why Carolyn isn't inheriting the money; Harold says Carolyn has lots of people around her who love her, whereas those the Salvos help often have no-one.
Toadie agrees to action the changes - but before Harold goes to bed, Toadie admits that he spoke with Carolyn.
TOADIE: Why didn't you tell us that you'd split up? This is unbelievable, mate.
Harold sheepishly admits that he didn't want to cast a shadow over Daniel's wedding by bringing it up. He explains that he and Carolyn drifted apart; she wanted to pursue her business, while he wanted to keep travelling. He says they tried very hard to work out their problems.
HAROLD: But in the end, we just realised we were not the soulmates we thought we were. It seems that you only ever get one soulmate in this life, and I'd already found mine. Madge can never be replaced, Jarrod. Ever. I was a fool to even try.
Harold goes to bed sadly, leaving Toadie looking concerned.

Sheila wonders whether it's safe yet to resume surveillance of the No 26 back yard.
SUSAN: Sheila, they're newlyweds - we might have to wait the rest of the night!
SHEILA: It didn't take a whole night when I was a newlywed (!)
SUSAN: Well I've been married 37 years, and I say we need to wait way longer!
Nate comes in to pick up his wallet, sees the laptop closed, and tells them to get back to work - he didn't spend all day installing the camera for them to slack off!
SUSAN: Yes, Boss!
Nate smiles at the point she's making, and leaves again. They return to the laptop, and are relieved to see that Kyle and Georgia have now vacated the spa. However, they do see Georgia walk into the garden alone, and take what looks to be one of her contraceptive pills...
Outside the Community Centre
The next day, Daniel meets up with Harold, and asks him if they can use the box of photos he brought for the exhibition that Amber's curating. Harold says that's fine. Daniel also reveals that he and Amber are thinking of marrying at the same church where Harold and Madge tied the knot, provided it won't upset Carolyn. Harold says it's a lovely thought, and that he can see Amber's a lovely girl. Daniel replies that Paul can't seem to accept his engagement to Amber, and noting Harold's hesitation, asks if he agrees with Paul.
HAROLD: If she is your soulmate - if she is to you what Madge is to me - then there are no problems. But the sad truth is that not all marriages last.
Harold sadly reveals that his marriage with Carolyn has fallen apart.
HAROLD: I'm sorry, Daniel. I don't want to ruin your happiness. But if there's one thing I've learned from this whole sorry state is that we all can be wrong. That we shouldn't enter into marriage without realistic expectations.

Nate is preparing to head to work early, and explains to Susan and Karl that he's decided to accept Sonya's promotion at the nursery after all. They congratulate him, and he leaves as Sheila comes in to get an update from Susan on the underwear thief. Susan's been skimming through the overnight footage, but there's nothing more to report.
KARL: Maybe you need to move the camera.
SHEILA: Maybe we should just forget the whole thing.
KARL: Oh, no, no. I think it's a good idea. I mean what if that creep stole that very expensive albeit heavily discounted lingerie I bought for you last week? Where is that, by the way? Doesn't seem to have found its way into rotation?
SUSAN: ... Err, yeah! That's because I've hidden it for safekeeping. Just until the perp's apprehended.
Karl leaves then, and Sheila admits to Susan that she's still worried about the pill they saw Georgia taking on the camera - especially as she overheard Georgia yesterday trying to get out of her 'night of nooky' with Kyle. Susan tells Sheila she's jumping to conclusions, and shouldn't get involved - the pill could have been for a headache or anything, and the camera invaded Georgia's privacy. Therefore, Susan advises, she should forget she ever saw the footage.
SUSAN: If there is something going on between those two, only they can sort it out.

Daniel comes in to tell Amber the news about Harold and Carolyn's break-up, but finds her crying while looking at her laptop. She explains she's reading the letters that were sent between Frederick Ramsay and Agnes Robinson, while he was away at war - Charlene directed her to the website.
AMBER: It's one thing to look at a photo, but to read their words... And then one day they just stop. She never found out what happened to him.
No 30
As Amber continues to talk, we cut to Harold next door, looking tearfully at the picture of Madge in his wallet.
AMBER: She met the love of her life, and they only got such a short time together, when it should have been forever.
No 32
We're back with Amber and Daniel.
AMBER: We can't let that happen to us.
DANIEL: We won't.
AMBER: No, I mean it. Don't ever go away and leave me.
DANIEL: Of course I won't leave you. You're my soulmate, just like Madge was to Harold. We'll be together forever.
No 30
Harold looks closely at the picture.
HAROLD: Oh, Madge, my love. I miss you so much.
He kisses the photo.

Sheila comes into the kitchen to find Kyle painting his face with tiger stripes! He explains he's getting in practice for when his own ankle-biters want to be tigers. Sheila looks uncomfortable, and asks where Georgia is. Sheila asks Kyle if he and Georgia have had a proper discussion about having kids; Kyle insists they have. But once he's left the room to scrub off the paint, Sheila goes into the living room and starts rifling through Georgia's bag. Sure enough, she finds the pack of pills...
Unmissable Drama
- Georgia is furious to learn Sheila has been snooping, but Sheila retorts that she's lying to Kyle
- Nate and Bossy have found something, which they take to show to Sonya and Susan
- Karl is interviewing a doctor for a new hospital position, but Brad looks surprised by the newcomer
