The Waterhole
Kyle and his dad are bonding over tales of the wedding when Sheila arrives back (and telling a white lie over where she's actually been) and goes to organise drinks for them.

New bar venue
Rain tries and fails to get Daniel to help her with the New Eden planning application because he's too busy getting the bar set up. She swaps places with Imogen who is looking for Amber (she isn't there) and takes pity on Daniel by agreeing to help him sort out the books for the bar as he's having some difficulty doing them.

DANIEL: Have I told you lately that you are a lifesaver?

Number 32
Rain arrives to hang out with Amber then lectures the family on wasting food. She then invites Amber (who struggles to find an excuse to get out of it) to go dumpster diving with her to show how you can save money on your food bills!

Somewhere
Amber isn't too impressed with the smell when she and Rain arrive where the dumpsters are located and somewhat hesitantly (well mainly because she's goaded into it) Amber climbs into the dumpster but refuses to have one of the apples that Rain finds!

The Waterhole
Georgia is enjoying hearing Gary tell tales of Kyle as a little lad. Sheila spots Mark entering and subtly agrees to meet with him later on in Harold's rather than step away from the family gathering.

Somewhere
Amber and Rain are still looking through the dumpsters even though it's now dark! Rain gets a text from Wolfie informing her that she's to stop calling as it's over between them (which is the total opposite to what she has been telling Daniel). The duo then get a visit from the police and Matt is most surprised to see his daughter in a dumpster!

Number 32
Lauren isn't too impressed at Amber dumpster diving when she gets home (nor at the quiche's she took home too!). She's not too chuffed at Amber calling off the trip to the Uni open night either at such late notice (they were due to leave fairly soon).

New bar venue
As Imogen works on the books, Daniel suggests inviting the person she liked to the formal. Imogen replies that the guy doesn't see her in the same way she does him but takes comfort in Daniel saying that one day "he'll see what's sitting right in front of him."

IMOGEN: A girl can dream I suppose.

Number 32
"She seems harmless enough," Matt comments when Lauren asks for his opinions of Rain and describes the dumpster dumping as fun when Lauren reminds him of what he caught her doing! Lauren comments that she just isn't sure about Rain at all and isn't too impressed at the influence she's having on Amber. Matt's take on her is that Amber is just making an effort (with Rain) for Daniel's sake.

Rain's camp site
Rain is attempting to talk to Wolfie but gets cut off however denies there are any problems when Amber returns and asks who the call was with. Amber explains that Daniel isn't joining them and after she says why, Rain tries to suggest that Daniel is cheating on her/she can't trust him when he's out of her sight. Rain offers to take her through a guided meditation which will result in her having total clarity after Amber expresses that she's stressed over her plans for next year (after getting grief from her mum). Somewhat hesitantly (and only after Rain said she used to give them to Daniel all the time), Amber agrees to it and Rain takes her phone from her and switches it off.

RAIN: Make yourself comfortable. Be prepared to release your inner demons.

Harold's Store
Sheila has managed to sneak away and apologises to Mark for not chatting to him at the pub but he understands why she acted as she did. Mark confirms Gary's story about the McKenzie brothers and asks if he is connected to the robbery. Sheila replies that she can't answer the question but adds that she doesn't know anything that could assist police in finally closing the case but will pass the message onto someone who could.

The Waterhole
Sheila returns and finds Gary alone (Kyle/Georgia have gone to get the wedding pics to show him) so tells him about asking Mark to do some digging for her. He's cool about her wanting what he said being checked out but still stands by his actions of disappearing as it was best. Sheila suggests that to allow him to fully move on, he tells the police all he knows but Gary doesn't think it will make any difference now however does agree to think about it.

Rain's camp site
Rain is doing her stuff but Amber stops her because she's not exactly comfortable with what is being said (that everyone she knows/loves has left her) but is told to trust the process to benefit from it.

RAIN: It's easy to live in a fantasy world and tell yourself everything is fine, that you're fine. A lot of people go through life that way just so they can convince themselves for one moment that they are happy but that's not going to help you here. In order to achieve true happiness you need to face your deepest fears first. You need to be brave, you need to face your fears otherwise they come back for you again and again no matter how deep they're buried, they can haunt you for the rest of your life.

As Rain was saying that, we initially cut to Daniel/Imogen having a laugh while having some Chinese food at the new bar and then towards the end, it cut to #32 and Lauren looking through her journal dated 1993 and looking rather worried!

(Later)

"Be open, be vulnerable, tell me what's going on, tell me why you're so scared," Rain asks as we return from the final commercial break. Amber's reply is that she isn't good enough - she's scared she isn't going to get a good mark at school, that she isn't going to be a good photographer, and that she doesn't want to let her family down again. Rain quizzes her on the "again" part and Amber explains that she's hurt and disappointed them so many times and can't keep doing that to them.

RAIN: If pleasing your family is causing you this much pain, you need to find a way to look after yourself or to have others look after you like Daniel, like your friends, like me. I'm here for you, I'll always be here for you no matter what anyone ever says about me, you need to know that I only want to help you be the best version of yourself.
AMBER: What if I can't?
RAIN: That's the fear and the doubt talking Amber. You've been programmed not to trust, not to be open - your entire family, your school, your society, it's all set up that way to fill you with fear.
AMBER: I don't want to be afraid any more.
RAIN: Then listen to me Amber, listen to me and know that I only want what's best for you, no matter what anyone ever says about me.

Amber has broken down crying and Rain comforts her, reassuring her that she's not going anywhere.
