Harold's - outside
Amber tells Daniel things are fine with Paige and asks how things went with Rain. He apologises and says he left dinner as soon as he could. He assures her that Rain will be on the road now. However, Amber spots Rain across the complex. She comes over and Bailey (whom she calls a spunk) spots her tattoo "JTL" - joy, trust, love, which is the same as Daniel's. She tells them how she's thinking of buying the land where Daniel and Amber used to live. Amber is fuming, and Daniel says he's too busy to show her round. Amber and Bailey leave for school and Daniel chases after them.
DANIEL: I'm sorry. I had no idea.
AMBER: About what? About the tattoo, or the fact that she's going to be moving her New Eden to where we used to live?
Daniel assures her that he will convince Rain to move on.
Harold's
Karl comes in and Susan snaps at something he says. She apologises and says that she didn't sleep well the previous night. He begins to explain the benefits of sleep, but she interrupts him.
KARL: Well, maybe it will cheer you up to know that my winnings from my scratchcard have come through.
SUSAN: Nope, still waiting for the part where I leap with joy.
KARL: Susan. That money is for you and I to have fun.
SUSAN: Oh please! Let's not pretend that you're ever going to spend that money.
KARL: Oh, look, I'm careful with money, but that's admirable.
SUSAN: Yeah, you and Ebenezer Scrooge.
He assures her that he will spend it to benefit them both so she says she wants a romantic cruise. She snaps at him to spend it. He comments that she's "very snappy" and she says she would sleep better if she had a husband who opened his wallet occasionally. Karl lets her pay for his drink and picks up the change!

Sonya has some snacks which she wants testing.
SONYA: They're ghost eggs and carrot fingers.
TOADIE: OK, what healthy balanced kid is going to want something vegetable related on Halloween?
Nell and Toadie look unimpressed, especially when Sonya explains that the brownies and cookies are for the trick and treaters and she has hidden them. Toadie is confident he can find them. Sonya says she has used suggestions from Angie.
SONYA: Do you know that Angie once hid a packet of TimTams in the washing machine?
TOADIE: She's a sick, twisted maniac.
He tells them that Angie didn't even eat them: she just threw them out. They all respected her after that.
Harold's
Kyle shows Mark a picture (on his phone) of a bed he has designed, and asks if he wants to buy one. He says no, so Kyle goes to ask Paul.
PAUL: My bed cost over $10,000
KYLE: Woah, what's it made of?
PAUL: I don't know, but I sleep like a baby every night.
MARK: What, does he wake up every three hours?
KYLE: Yeah, and then wets himself.
Karl overhears and laughs, then asks Kyle if he could make a grand one. Kyle says he could.
KARL: It would have to be, you know, robust enough for Susan and I.
Mark chokes on his coffee. Kyle tells Karl it wouldn't come cheap and Karl says it's not a problem.

Sonya brings in the post, including a red envelope. Ominous Music™ plays. Georgia calls her to come and see Nell's costume. Meanwhile, Toadie looks in the bread bin, and finds some brownies with a note "hands off Jarrod!!!" He laughs triumphantly. He takes a bite, and it tastes horrible. Ominous Music™ plays again. He opens the red envelope and the note says "your wife broke her sister's arm". Georgia and Sonya come in with Nell, who is dressed as a very cute pumpkin. Sonya notices that he's been eating brownies, and tells him that they had salt instead of sugar... actually something like that happened in GBBO. Toadie looks concerned, while Sonya and Georgia are busy talking to Nell.
Council land
Paul, Daniel and Rain are walking around the land where Daniel and Amber used to. Rain asks Daniel how Amber is coping with her being around. Daniel says she's fine, as she's very mature. Rain is enthusiastic about the good soil, since they can grow and sell veggies. Paul says he thought she didn't like the city, but she says this is *New* Eden. Paul is not convinced.
PAUL: Yeah, still can't see Erinsborough embracing a bunch of free loving neo-hippies.
Daniel says it's not like that, and when Paul says there are developers interested, Rain points out it's not zoned for residential use. Paul scowls.
Sonya's Nursery
Karl tells Sonya he's always wanted an outdoor writing space so he could use nature as his muse.
KARL: I think one of the things that was holding back the Right Prescription was not having a positive space to compose and rehearse in.
SONYA: Oh, OK. So, that's the reason.
He asks her to landscape his backyard. She tells him it will cost thousands of dollars, and he says he doesn't care and she should spend what she needs.

Mark asks if Toadie knew about Jade's broken arm - which he did - and says it's very targeted, so it suggests someone who isn't going to stop soon. Toadie doesn't want to call Jade as she would tell Sonya. He says that Melbourne postmark implies it could be someone close by, but he can't imagine any of their neighbours doing it. Mark says that whoever it is knows dark things from Sonya's past, but doesn't realise how much Toadie knows.
MARK: It's gotta be someone from GA.
Waterhole
Toadie and Mark have arranged to meet Bob, the former convenor of GA, who has been interstate and just returned. They ask if anyone has been hostile to Sonya. Bob says nothing, so they try a couple of other questions.
BOB: Look, Gamblers' Anonymous is just that - anonymous. What happens in the meetings, stays in the meetings.
Toadie points out that Sonya has done a lot for the organisation, but Bob says he can't help.
Council land
Rain is trying to negotiate a deal with Paul, but says she hasn't decided whether to buy. He asks Daniel if he wants him to put a stop to New Eden. Daniel says no, because he's always believed in that type of lifestyle.
DANIEL: If it goes ahead, it might be exactly what Erinsborough needs.
PAUL: Yeah, well, good luck trying to sell that idea to your girlfriend.
The Bar formerly known as Pirate Radio
Daniel is enthusing to Amber about New Eden. Amber is confused because not only is Rain staying, but Daniel is doing her PR. Rain walks in and tells Daniel that she's contacted some of the old gang, who are thrilled that he's involved. Amber is not so thrilled because it seems that Rain is sticking around, but Rain thinks it's fate. They have a group hug.
Harold's
Sonya is sitting with Susan when Kyle comes to ask her what size bed she wants. Susan is surprised, and says they got a new bed a couple of years back. Sonya says that Karl had commissioned her to redesign the back yard with no expense spared. Susan asks if they got a deposit. They haven't, so she tells them to stop wasting their time, and promises that Karl will be suffering very soon.
Ramsay Street
Karl is admiring Bailey's telescope and asks him what a $7000 telescope could do. Bailey recommends something, but Susan turns up and tells him he's been wasting everyone's time.
SUSAN: You're worse than Paul Robinson.
KARL: Oh dear, that's a bit harsh.
SUSAN: Well, you've messed around Kyle and poor Sonya and I hate to think who else just so you can feel big and powerful. Well you're not. You're pathetic.
KARL: Why don't you say what you really think?
SUSAN: Either you spend every cent of that money or I will take $7000 out of our joint account and I will donate it.
KARL: Hey, steady on.
SUSAN: To the Greens!
BAILEY: So no telescope.
Lassiter's rotunda
Amber thinks it a bit of a coincidence that Rain wants to move where Daniel is, and asks him how he feels about Rain being in Erinsborough. He says he doesn't know. He tells Amber about how they met when he worked at his mum's garage. They moved into Eden, which was when they got the tattoos. They broke up because Rain cheated, although she didn't see it that way, as she believes that monogamy is too restrictive.
DANIEL: I want what my parents have. Something that will last a lifetime. I want what we have now.
Amber comments that he and Rain seem so in sync, but he says that they didn't work as a couple. He tells her that he loves her and wants to marry her and he's got a padlock with their names on. He locks it on to the bridge, and throws away the key.
Ramsay Street
Mark picks up his post, and there is a red envelope and Ominous Music™. He looks worried. Sonya comes up behind him and asks if it is a phone bill.
SONYA: How many heart attacks are caused by bill shock these days?
MARK: Uh, yeah, electricity.
She asks him to hide the brownies from Toadie, which he agrees to. He opens the red envelope and reads the letter. "Your friend, Sonya, abandoned her son, Callum."
