Camp Danber
Amber is terrified as the hoons continue to shake the car while she's inside it, shining torches in her face. She slams on the horn to attract help, and everything goes quiet and dark suddenly. Daniel turns up, asking her if she's alright.

No 32
Daniel and Amber are telling Lauren, Matt and Paige about her ordeal. Amber plays it down, but Lauren and Matt are worried that their site is unsafe. Daniel insists it's fine, and naively suggests that a sign telling people they're living there will solve the problem.

MATT: I knew living in the car was a mistake.

Matt heads down to the site, to see if the hoons have gone.

Harold's Store
Bailey is on the phone to Lauren, assuring her that all is under control at the Store. When he comes off the phone, Alice, who has been listening in, scoffs at Amber's decision to live in a car.

ALICE: Well at least she would have had an awesome view of Vega. Do you want to go and look through the telescope later?

But Bailey's been put off stargazing by his worries about Space Camp - they are due to find out who has got in tomorrow, and are both obviously nervous. Bailey says he'll be happy for Alice if she gets in, and Alice says the same.

They decide to make the most of their last night before the result is announced, and close up the store early, hurrying Brad and Terese along, who are buying supplies for a special dinner to make things up to Paige. Terese is even making dessert, and suddenly decides she'll concoct a whole lunch instead. Brad kisses her, telling her he really appreciates it.

No 32
Matt arrives back from the campsite, and tells Daniel and Amber that the hoons have gone, but that he found a trail of 'discarded empties'. Matt's still worried about Amber living there, and invites Amber to stay the night in her old room. But when she assumes the invitation is being extended to Daniel, Matt quickly makes it clear that it isn't. Lauren overrules Matt, but Daniel insists he wants to go back to the site and check on their stuff.

While Amber takes Daniel to fetch a towel so he can have a shower before he leaves, Lauren criticises Matt for being so hard on Daniel. Matt blames Daniel for the fact that Amber was in danger, but Lauren says coming down on them harshly will make it less likely that Amber will come home.

The next morning, Lauren is writing her journal in the conservatory when Matt, Amber and Bailey come in from playing basketball. Bailey is waiting anxiously for news about Space Camp, but in the meanwhile questions Amber about whether she's going to be living in the car permanently - gently trying to persuade her to come home. Matt says it's where she belongs, but Amber retorts that she belongs in the car with Daniel. Her family can tell she's nervous about going back, however.

MATT: I'm sorry I lost it a bit last night. I got a fright, thinking about what might have happened to you.
AMBER: Yeah, well you guys already have a full house with Paige now, so...
MATT: Come on, there's plenty of room.
AMBER: Just not enough for Daniel?
MATT: Look, you know I think you're getting married too young. But I also don't want you living in a car, so I will support whatever you want if you just come home.

Amber accuses Matt of emotionally blackmailing her, but he encourages her to think about it.

No 22
Terese is busy preparing lunch for Paige, when Susan comes in to drop off a blowtorch for the crème brûlée Paige requested. Susan is impressed by the effort Terese is going to for Brad and Paige, if slightly bemused by her cooking methods! Susan also noticed that Terese has put a framed picture of Paige on the side, and Terese admits Lauren had done the same so she thought she should too.

SUSAN: It's a big step forward.
TERESE: Yeah, well it just feels right. Or today it does. I think I'm ready to officially welcome Paige into the family.

Harold's Store
Daniel is just leaving (presumably due to a scene cut), and says hello to Brad, who's coming in. He orders a coffee from Paige, who asks what she should wear to lunch at the Willises'. Lauren suggests she go home early and try on a few things. But before she gets the chance, Paige scalds her hand on the coffee machine. They rush her into the kitchen to put it under water.

No 32
Daniel comes in and kisses Amber. He's bought a 'home sweet home' plaque from the antiques shop, which he suggests they put in the car - and he's also got some bug spray to keep the critters at bay.

AMBER: We don't have a shower.
DANIEL: I'll get a hose.
AMBER: I want to move back home.

Daniel's all upset, but Amber says she can't live like that anymore - especially after last night.

DANIEL: But it's our home.
AMBER: Daniel, it's a car!

He objects at first, but says he understands. Amber insists her parents think he's 'great', and that she does too - this isn't going to change anything between them. They kiss.

Harold's Store
Bailey and Alice await Space Camp news, and distract themselves with space-talk.

BAILEY: Okay, would you rather get sucked up by a black hole, or hit with a solar flare?
ALICE: ... Well, since there's a remote possibility that the singularity of the black hole could lead to another dimension, I'll go with that.

Suddenly, Alice gets a text to say she got into Space Camp, and Bailey gets a text telling him he didn't. Bailey insists he's happy for her, but looks forlorn as he suggests they celebrate with cake.

Camp Danber
Paul has come to see a miserable Daniel, who has decided he wants to continue to live in the car alone in memory of his fun times with Amber there. Paul tries to talk him into returning to live at the penthouse, grudgingly admitting that it's become a bit lonely there without him.

DANIEL: You missing me, you old softie?
PAUL: Yeah, you could say that.
DANIEL: I knew there'd be a heart in there. You just needed me to bring it out.

Daniel agrees to come home, on one condition - Paul doesn't try to turn him into 'a corporate nine-to-fiver'. Paul agrees to that term, for now, and is thrilled Daniel is moving back.

Erinsborough Hospital / No 22
Paige is just leaving with Brad and Lauren - they brought her in to check out the scald from the coffee machine. Paige is feeling a little woozy after her ordeal, and Brad says they should get her home to bed. Paige is worried about missing Terese's lunch, but Brad insists they can do it another day, assuming Terese has only bought takeaway anyway.

As they get into the car, Brad gets a call from Terese, who is back home slaving away over a hot stove. When Brad explains what happened and says they'll have to take a raincheck on lunch, Terese makes out that she hasn't gone to any trouble.

TERESE: You just look after Paige. Don't worry about a thing.

But she looks sad as she hangs up.

No 32
Bailey is moping about his failure to get into Space Camp, and Matt sits down to console him.

BAILEY: You know I told myself that if Alice did get in, that it'd be okay.
MATT: But it isn't.
BAILEY: I wanted to get in so badly.
MATT: You did your best. And I am as proud of you, as if you had got in.
BAILEY: That's not the point, Dad.

But Matt tells him there are many other ways to become an astronaut; this is his dream, and he shouldn't give up on it.

BAILEY: Thank you, Dad. But what am I going to do about Alice? I mean, things are going to be so different between us. Apart from her going overseas, this is - this has literally changed everything we had.
MATT: That's tough. I get it. I guess you just have to try to think how important she is to you, and try to be happy for her.
BAILEY: Just fake it until you make it.
MATT: Something like that.

Suite 1 Eclipse Apartments
A sad-looking Daniel comes in to find Amber has set up a picnic for them on the floor of the penthouse, to cheer him up.

AMBER: I love our life together. It's full of fun, and adventure, and now hot running water. And I want that to go on for as long as we both shall live.
DANIEL: Me too.

They kiss. Paul comes in and they invite him to join them - presumably for the picnic, not the kissing!

Harold's Store
Bailey comes in and finds Alice looking glum. She's worried things have turned weird between them since she got into Space Camp, and although Bailey denies it, they obviously have.

BAILEY: So what do we do?
ALICE: Well, we identify our concerns through logical discussion, and then rationally deal with them. I'll go first. I was prepared to feel great about destroying you today. And don't get me wrong, I do.
BAILEY: ...
ALICE: But I also feel kind of terrible at the same time.
BAILEY: Well I guess I have mixed feelings too. I mean, I am so happy that you got in, you know? But at the same time, I hate it.
ALICE: That is so sweet.
BAILEY: You are so weird, Alice.

In order to deal with the problem, Alice suggests they could KISS.

BAILEY: What, right now?
ALICE: No, I mean 'Keep It Simple, Stupid'. I really don't want this to come between us.

They agree to muddle through the best they can, and kiss - this time for real.

Terese has brought around the leftovers from the lunch she prepared for Paige. Matt remarks she went to a lot of effort, and Terese explains about Paige being taken to hospital. Matt seems concerned that Lauren didn't tell him about this, and also that Brad was there when it happened.

TERESE: I guess this is just something that we're gonna have to get used to. Paige is their daughter, and when something happens, they're gonna want to be there for her.
MATT: Yeah, I guess it's unavoidable.
TERESE: Doesn't it get to you? Your wife, my husband? They're spending more time together, especially now that Paige is staying here.
MATT: It does, deep down. But I'm not going to take it out on Paige. She's just caught in the middle - it's not her fault.

Terese agrees, but says she's still struggling to get over the kiss. Matt agrees that it's tough, but that they'll each have to deal with it if they want their marriages to work.

Matt takes a work call in the other room; and meanwhile Terese, having noticed Lauren's journal on the table, goes to open it - before deciding against it and leaving it on the table.

Shortly afterwards, Matt is still out of the room, and having put the leftovers in the fridge, Terese again approaches the journal. This time she picks it up and reads it.

LAUREN (voiceover): Sometimes I wonder what my life would have been like if Brad and I had stayed together.

Matt comes back in.

MATT: Terese? What are you doing?
TERESE: Oh, I -
MATT: Do you realise what a massive invasion of privacy that is?
TERESE: I know, I'm sorry, I -
MATT: What is in there is none of your business!
TERESE: Yeah, well I think it might be yours.

Terese walks out, and Matt looks curiously at the closed journal.
