Number 22 Backyard
Terese says they could have spoken in the car - the kids have already heard everything. Brad says he wants her to tell him she didn't mean it. Terese says she's sorry she said it in public but she's not sorry for what she said. Brad wants to know how she can seriously believe that Lauren has a thing for him. Terese has been over everything and Brad was her first love. Brad points out they used to laugh about that fact. Terese says Lauren had his baby and rebounded onto Matt. Lauren was clearly awkward when they all came face to face twenty years later. Brad agrees that it's awkward but asks why she's suddenly reading more into it. Terese says she's realising how naive she's been and maybe he has too. Brad understands about Adelaide but is wondering why she said about Lauren plotting and scheming to get him back. Terese is calling it as it is.

TERESE: If you have any respect for me or our relationship you will stay away from her!

Brad agrees if it helps her get over this he will keep away. She thanks him. He says that he will only do that if she apologises to Lauren first thing in the morning. What Terese did was way out of line.

Number 32
Lauren understands that Terese has issues with her. She can't understand how Terese thought she was hatching some plan to steal Brad. She laughs disbelievingly and Matt doesn't respond. She checks if Matt understands that what Terese was untrue. Matt says if Lauren says that's the truth. Lauren says of course it is. What happened in Adelaide was a spur of the moment mistake - it certainly wasn't the result of months of plotting. Matt says he needs to get a couple of hours sleep before the late shift.

Number 30
It is now the next morning. Toadie is kissing Sonya and she tries to stop him as Nell is playing on the carpet. Toadie says they could do back flips and Nell wouldn't notice. Sonya doesn't believe him. They kiss passionately and Toadie winces in pain. That wasn't the reaction Sonya was going for but Toadie says he's fine. Sonya says they shouldn't if he's not ready. Toadie thinks that no one is more ready than he is. She doesn't want to do him anymore damage. Toadie asks her how long it's been and she guesses four weeks and to the actual second. Toadie is impressed and wants to break the drought. Sonya isn't sure and Toadie agrees when he gets the all clear. He decides to go and see Karl now.

Erinsborough Hospital
Karl tells Toadie that everything seems to be healing nicely. Toadie is pleased and asks tentatively how long before they can get back to business. Karl is confused. Toadie explains that he means ride the pony or other euphemisms. Karl now understands and says that if Toadie can ride a bicycle from home to Fitzgerald Motors he should be good to go. Toadie is happy and thanks Karl. Karl wants to know how he gets on and Toadie refuses.

Karl asks Georgia if he can borrow a pen. Georgia asks him what happened to the last ten pens she gave him. Karl has forgotten where they are. Georgia says the pens come out of the nurses' stationery budget - they can't keep giving them out to doctors and getting nothing in return. Karl realises she's still upset. If it helps he reviewed her case last night and he's positive her surgery went by the book. She's sure he is! Karl says it's ridiculous - at some point Georgia will have to accept what he's saying - it's not personal. Now can he borrow a pen? She gives him a pen and tells him not to lose it.

General Store
Paige can't believe what Terese said in front of everyone. Lauren confirms it - apparently it's been on her mind for some time. Paige thinks that Matt will know Terese was blowing off steam. Lauren hopes so. Paige tells Lauren she and Matt are great together. Terese walks in and greets them. Lauren asks what she wants but Terese doesn't want anything.

TERESE: I, um, just wanted to apologise for last night.
LAUREN: So you feel differently today?
TERESE: No. What I mean is if I had any grievances to air I shouldn't have done it in public.
LAUREN: No you shouldn't have.
TERESE: And I'm also sorry about the e-mail mix-up. I'll personally talk to Lou and explain the situation. (She leaves.)

Paige wonders what sort of an apology that was. Terese didn't even say sorry for anything she said. Lauren comments that Terese isn't sorry at all.

Lassiter's Complex
Terese explains to Susan that the moment she turned her back Lauren was talking to Brad again. It was the third time that day and she just snapped. Terese tells Susan not to look at her like that. Susan asks how Brad is. Terese says he's annoyed but he's agreed to stay away from Lauren conditional on the apology that she just gave. Susan asks Terese if she's sure this is how she wants to play it. Terese doesn't know. Terese hates the fact she's become this horrible suspicious person but her marriage is at stake. Susan points out that if she's wrong she's going to put it under more pressure. Terese apologises for dumping everything on Susan. Susan says it's what friends are for. Susan tells Terese she's got to stop being so suspicious or she'll drive herself nuts. Brad and Lauren are probably just talking about Paige. Terese says she is sure that's true. Brad's assured Terese he'll now avoid Lauren - she'll have to see how things go.

Number 32
Toadie explains that he would use Callum's bike but he's got two flat tyres and he really needs a bike right now. Matt says anything for marital harmony - he just needs to find the keys to the shed. Toadie asks how Matt's going. Matt worked the late shift again so he's a bit wrecked. Toadie guesses he's avoiding Lauren by keeping on working the late shift. Matt wants to ask Toadie a personal question so he tells Toadie he's not obliged to answer. When Naomi tried to crack onto Toadie, Matt had heard she was manipulating the situation for ages but Toadie had no idea. Toadie agrees with this - he didn't have any idea until Naomi made a move. Toadie asks if someone's doing the same to Matt. Matt reassures Toadie and explains Terese's theory about Lauren making a play for Brad since they moved here. Matt doesn't think it's true but what does he know? Toadie tells Matt that Terese is crazy to think that and Lauren is not Naomi. Toadie says they made their way through it as Sonya always gave him the benefit of the doubt. Unless Matt is faced with some unquestionable proof Matt should do the same for Lauren.

General Store
Karl tells Susan he understands that Georgia's upset that she's lost her singing voice. Georgia's got this mad idea that the doctors are banding together to treat the nurses like dirt. She made a lot of fuss as well about lending Karl a pen - he doesn't have time for this nonsense. Susan asks if he can hear himself? In the space of a minute Karl has said Georgia is mad, full of nonsense and Karl's time is far more invaluable. It's not the first time she's heard him make comments like that. Maybe Georgia has a point. Maybe the doctors have banded together and they do treat the nurses badly. Except their behaviour is so deeply ingrained they don't realise they're doing it. Karl is disbelieving. Brad comes in and Karl asks Susan if he's going to get the others to band against him. Susan says she's going to stay out of it.

Brad got Paige's text - he can't come over this afternoon if it's a group thing. As Lauren watches from the background, Paige realises it's because Lauren will be there too. Brad explains he told Terese he'd put distance between them. Paige can't believe this after what Terese said and Brad points out Terese apologised. Paige says Terese didn't apologise and Brad says Terese said she did. Paige laughs disbelievingly and Brad confirms this with Lauren. Lauren admits she apologised for some things and Paige says it wasn't for the main things. It was the most half hearted insincere apology Paige has ever heard. Lauren tells Paige not to worry about it but Paige thinks Brad should know - none of this is fair. Lauren and Brad have done nothing wrong. Mark is going to be there this afternoon and she thought it would be a chance for them to spend time together. Brad doesn't think Lauren should miss out on that. Paige doesn't think he should either and asks him please to come.

Ramsay Street
Sonya tells Toadie the garage is far away but he has to get there without stopping. She wants him to reach his goal today but if he doesn't it's ok. Toadie reassures her he will get there - nothing is going to stop him. Sonya tells him when he went to the hospital she bought some lingerie and she doesn't want to keep it in the cupboard. Toadie says he's raring to go. Matt says he understands and Sonya realises Toadie told Matt. Toadie explains he needed to give a reason why he needed to borrow the bike. Sonya looks horrified and Matt comes over to reassure them - it won't go any further. Toadie gets on the bike. He sets off and groans. He asks when bike seats got so hard. Sonya suggests they try it another day but Toadie refuses to give up. Toadie asks Kyle for some handyman skills - his loins depend on it. Sonya despairs about the whole neighbourhood finding out.

Lauren arrives with a white cake box and asks what's going on. Sonya won't tell her and goes inside. Matt tells Lauren that Toadie's itching for a ride Toadie says it's been four weeks as Matt and Lauren laugh. Lauren is glad whatever it is has made him smile. Matt doesn't answer and Lauren asks if he got some sleep. Matt got a bit. Lauren says she won't be there to bother him if he needs some more rest. She's going to spend time with Paige and Mark and help her with this art thing. Matt asks if Brad will be there but Lauren's not sure. He's invited and she checks if that's ok. Matt hesitates and Lauren invites him along. Matt declines and says he should get some more sleep. He tells her to go and have fun. He doesn't want to doubt her - those thoughts are poisonous.

Erinsborough Hospital
Doctor Curtis asks Georgia why he was called to see Mrs Johnson. Georgia explains the woman was in distress and she didn't want to take any risks. Doctor Curtis says that Mrs Johnson has dementia - she is always in distress. Georgia points out if he had come when she paged him he would have seen that. Doctor Curtis tells Georgia not to bother him unless there's a real emergency.

Karl starts to speak and Georgia says just to take a pen if he wants one. Karl says it's not about pens - he asks if Doctor Curtis always talks to her like that. Georgia says he doesn't - he's usually ten times ruder. Karl thinks that surely not all doctors are like that. Georgia sighs and tells him to open his eyes. It's pretty obvious that the doctors think they're way better than the nurses. The nurses work twice as hard for a lot less money. Karl says he knows that. Georgia cuts him off by saying she doesn't usually care as she really loves what she does. Sometimes it would be nice to be treated with a little bit of respect and have their voices and opinions heard.

The Waterhole
Terese has just picked up some food. Susan arrives and asks if it's comfort food. Terese says it's for Brad - he's been so reasonable and she's been anything but. Sonya rushes in with Nell and orders a bottle of non-alcoholic wine. She changes her mind and asks it to be sparkly. She tells Terese and Susan that they're celebrating an exciting moment. Terese asks if she's expecting an exciting moment and Sonya is looking for one. Susan asks if it's to do with Toadie's bike ride. Sonya is surprised and Susan explains that Karl mentioned it in passing. Susan suggests if Sonya wants someone to look after Nell. Sonya happily accepts and passes after Nell. Sonya says it will be for an hour or two. Terese wants to know what the two hours is for and Susan gives her a knowing look. Sonya collects her order, says she's got to get to the finish line and leaves.

Road Outside Grease Monkeys
Toadie is riding the bike whilst wincing in pain. Kyle is running alongside him. Sonya is by the garage shouting encouragement. Toadie reaches the garage and falls off his bike. Sonya hugs and kisses him and he winces in pain. She suggests they go home and he agrees.

Number 24
Lauren says she really likes one painting but she really likes the colours in the other painting on the table. There is a knock on the door and Paige answers the door to Brad. Mark says it's perfect timing as the coffee is almost ready. Paige tells him to pick one of the three paintings. Brad looks at the paintings and Lauren says she's going to put some music on. Paige joins Mark in the kitchen and wonders if Lauren and Brad could get any further apart. Mark thinks they could if they moved interstate. Paige thinks it's all Terese's fault - she made everyone feel weird with her theories. Mark thinks Paige should address that. Mark thinks she should get rid of the elephant in the room by talking about the elephant.

After an advert break, Lauren, Mark and Paige are on the sofa whilst Brad is on the chair. There is an awkward silence in the room. Lauren and Brad both reach for a biscuit and Brad tells Lauren to go first. Paige says they need to talk about what is going on here. If they're not cool being here that's fine. They should just call it quits now as it's not the fun afternoon she had planned. Lauren says that what Terese says was completely untrue and if she's acting weird it's because Brad might have believed Terese. Brad says of course he doesn't. He's just upset that Terese said anything at all and she couldn't even apologise properly. If he is acting weird that's why. Brad doesn't think Paige should get caught up in all this. Lauren agrees - when they're with Paige it should be about her. Paige just wants everyone to get along. Brad says they'll get there. Lauren realises they're not making much of an impression and Mark says his family have their moments too. Paige tells them to pick the best painting. Brad and Lauren say the one with the forest at the same time and laugh. Paige is pleased as it's her favourite as well and Mark agrees. Paige says it's unanimous. Brad says Paige is too young to know the song - Paige says it's Mark's iPod. Mark says this song was huge about 2000 when he was studying. Brad pretends to play a guitar.

Number 30
Sonya apologises that it's taken her so long to get ready. She finds Toadie asleep on the sofa.

General Store
Karl comes in and asks to join Georgia. She doesn't say anything so he joins her anyway. He wanted to let her know he heard everything she had to say and he's taken it on board. Actions speak louder than words. He's organised a professional team building day for the doctors to learn how to relate to the nurses better. Georgia says the doctors get another junket while the nurses pick up the slack. Karl tells her the nurses are involved in this. He managed to juggle the budget so he could squeeze them in. Georgia thinks it's good. Karl goes on to tell her on a more personal level he wants to make sure the operation assessment was fair and balanced. He has asked the head of nursing to review what happened. Georgia points out he reviewed it and Georgia was just unlucky. That was Karl's conclusion but he wants a second opinion to be sure. Georgia isn't sure what to say. Karl wants her to know she's listened to and she's valued. Without nurses like Georgia, the hospital would grind to a halt. Georgia thanks Karl and gives him a pen on the house.

Ramsay Street
Brad tells them back in his day it was all about the moonwalk. Lauren prefers old school - the group dances like the Nut Push and Bus Stop. She gives them a demonstration and they laugh. She asks what's wrong with it and Brad says Michael will always be King. Mark only remembers the kids at school dancing to Men in Black by Will Smith. Paige talks about Gangnam styles and Brad and Lauren look at her blankly. She asks if they've been living under a rock - it was massive two years ago. Paige gives a demonstration and Mark says she looks freaky. Paige tells Mark to join in so she doesn't look such an idiot. Mark then gives a demonstration. Lauren asks Brad if he thinks Mark is too old for Brennan. Brad doesn't think so - they seem happy. Brad suggests they ask Paige about it. Lauren doesn't really think it's their place. Paige tells them it's not a spectator sport so they need to join in. Brad gives another demonstration.

Terese gets out of her car and watches them. She puts the food she bought for Brad in the bin and goes inside as Paige watches her.

Number 22 Backyard
Paige arrives and apologises for Terese being upset after seeing them together. Paige knows that Terese and Brad are going through a difficult time. Terese tells Paige it's none of her business. Paige says it is as Brad and Lauren are her parents. She's trying to build a relationship with her parents and she's not going to let Terese get in the way of it. Paige knows Terese has a problem with her and she's trying to get past it. As long as Paige is here they're going to be spending time together and Terese is going to have to suck it up. Paige leaves.

Terese rings Tracy. Terese asks Tracy to track down a number. It's Mary Smith - Terese believes she's overseas. Terese confirms it is Paige's mother.

Unmissable drama:
