Harold's
Kyle tells Georgia and Chris that maybe he went too far with what he said to Sheila, but she is the champion of holding grudges. Georgia is pleased they've got control of the wedding plans. They arrange to meet later for drinks with Naomi, but not at the Waterhole. Sheila walks in, and they look awkward. She comments that they're obviously having a good time and she's just come for some milk.

GEORGIA: See, she wasn't that bad. She's smiling.
KYLE: Are you kidding? When Gran plasters on a smile like that, that's when you know you're really in trouble.

Paul's apartment
Paul says that being at the nursery was "nice". Karl says it's progress and better than being indoors all day. Karl says that it would be better if they had a proper meeting, rather than him just visiting informally.

KARL: If it ever gets too much, please reach out to me.

Waterhole
Sheila tells Toadie and Sonya that Kyle has banned her from the wedding. Toadie guesses the others don't know what happened and tells her she should say something, especially if it's making her the bad guy. Sonya leaves and Toadie joins Susan, who is reading something on her tablet. Toadie looks over her shoulder. It's the Book of Secrets.

TOADIE: Susan Kennedy, are you reading smut?!
SUSAN: Excuse me! Erotic literature. My sister emailed it to me. This won a prize online. I'm just interested in an academic sense as to why erotica is suddenly so big in the Zeitgeist.
TOADIE: You can paint this up however you want, but this is smut.

Susan passes it over to Toadie, suggesting he might need extra ice in his drink.

Waterhole - outside
Sonya tells Naomi that Sheila hasn't told anyone what happened, so now Kyle has banned her from the wedding. Naomi claims there's nothing she can do, so Sonya tells her she must get everything out in the open.

Waterhole
Toadie has finished the story and he and Susan make a few comments.

TOADIE: What about the lake and the rotunda?
SUSAN: Oh yes, the "picnic". I should take Karl on a few picnics like that.
TOADIE: Oh, no, yuck! I was speaking geographically. Doesn't it sound like Erinsborough?

She agrees that it does. Perhaps E.M. Williams - the author - is from Erinsborough! They ask Sheila for her opinion, and she forgets that the bar doesn't run itself. Susan decides to email it around...

No 26
Kyle, Georgia and Chris are having drinks when Naomi arrives. She tells them that she kissed Toadie. Bossy looks accusingly at her. Kyle scoffs at first, then realises she's serious.

KYLE: So I stood there and yelled at her for how she was treating you and she was just doing the right thing?

Naomi tries to explain that she thought she was in love and she says she's sorry. She leaves and the others look disapproving.

Sonya's Nursery
Paul is watering some plants and accidentally spoils some seedlings. He's very upset, although Sonya tries to reassure him that they can be replanted.

No 26
Georgia says she understands now why Naomi was always dropping round to see Toadie and she hasn't been since Sonya's return from the retreat. She adds that she hopes Naomi's OK. Chris says she probably feels stupid and asks why Georgia feels sorry for her. Georgia says it reminds her of the situation with Kate.

GEORGIA: I spent such a long period of time not being able to forgive you or forgive Kate. And if was able to have my time again... like, if I've learned anything from that... it's that nobody is perfect and life is way too short to hold a grudge.

Kyle looks pensive.

Naomi is packing, then she stops and starts writing.

Sonya's Nursery
Toadie tells Sonya that he's just heard from Georgia that Naomi has told them what happened. Sonya tells him she had a word with Naomi earlier, so that Sheila wouldn't have to take the blame. Paul comes over to say he's replanted the seedlings, and to ask what else he can do. She says he can go, and his face falls, so she tells him to sort the potting mix.

SONYA: It's like looking after Nell. You just... you have to watch him the whole time.

Sonya comments that she can't take in every "broken bird" but Toadie suggests she should help if she can.

No 26
Kyle, Georgia and Chris are discussing Naomi when she walks in. She hands over an envelope containing a list of the 10 worst things she's ever done. She says she's never felt as welcome as she has here, and she's never had friends like them before. She says that since she's being honest, they might decide to give her another chance, though she would understand if they didn't.

(Later)

They haven't opened the envelope, as Kyle says her mistakes are none of their business. Naomi comes in and Georgia says she's willing to give her another chance. Kyle's not sure he wants to let her off the hook for what she's done, but he's made mistakes so he'd be a hypocrite not to give her another chance. Chris meanwhile is not prepared to do the "kiss and make up" routine.

Waterhole
Naomi tells Sheila that she's told Kyle, Georgia and Chris what happened with Toadie, and that her friends are prepared to give her another chance. She hopes Sheila is too. Sheila says she's struggling to understand why it happened.

NAOMI: I fell in love.

Sheila points out it doesn't make what she did right. Naomi thanks her for listening.

NAOMI: Does this mean that we're not fighting anymore?
SHEILA: I'm not ready to forgive and forget just yet.
NAOMI: (Nods)
SHEILA: But you are still my daughter, and I love you no matter what.
NAOMI: Thank you.

Sonya's Nursery
Sonya tells Paul she's not really the right person to help him. Paul replies that letting him be there is kind of her. She tells him that if he broke his arm, he'd go to a doctor, and now he's struggling, it's no different. He nods, and says she's probably right.

Waterhole
Kyle and Georgia come to apologise to Sheila, and Kyle says they obviously want her at the wedding. Sheila says that Naomi should be there too, as she's family. She promises not to interfere in the planning as it's their day. Georgia says they should all plan it together, which is what they should have done in the first place!

SHEILA: Happy Cannings!

(Later)

Chris is reading Book of Secrets. Georgia mentions a scene with a rocking chair, and Susan comments on the writing style.

SHEILA: Susan is reading it for education purposes, of course.
GEORGIA: Well, there's a lot in there that's instructional, that's for sure.

Kyle goes for drinks and Georgia tells him that some of the scenes are "hot" prompting them to go home to try them out. Meanwhile, Chris has just finished reading it, and suggests to Susan that it's not just Erinsborough, it's Ramsay Street. Toadie agrees: Brennan's feature wall is definitely included, so the writer has to have seen it.

CHRIS: Let's face it, the writer could be any one of us.

Harold's
Paul tells Karl that he 's not right: he needs help.
