Previously on Neighbours
- Callum has blown all his money on the puppy, so can't afford a Valentine's present
- Georgia doesn't want to get back with Kyle just because they're having a baby together
- Karl says Josh shouldn't have unrealistic expectations of getting back in the pool
- Amber wins an award, and Josh walks out of the ceremony
Ramsay Street
Chris is chatting to Amber about her award. She tells him that Josh left halfway through her speech. Chris is unimpressed, but Amber says that Josh's needs have to come before hers.
No 22
Chris confronts Josh about his lack of support for Amber. He says that his shoulder was hurting. Chris says he looks fine, so Josh replies he was just about to put some ice on. Brad and Terese appear, and Brad tells him to take his painkillers and put his sling back on. Chris accuses Josh of resenting Amber's success when his dreams are in doubt.
JOSH: I'm coming back from this, and that's why my shoulder has to be a priority.
CHRIS: Yeah, well, Amber has to be one too.
No 32
Bailey is suggesting what Amber might buy with her $500 prize money. Lauren suggests a family dinner to celebrate, which Amber turns down. Josh arrives, and apologises for walking out, claiming that sitting there was "agony". Amber says it's OK, and invites him for dinner. Lauren reassures him that whatever is going on with him and Mason, he's still welcome. However, he says he's going home to rest.
No 30
Sonya has sorted out some baby clothes for Georgia, including one with "I still live with my parents". And actually, Georgia says *her* parents think she should go and live with them, although she'd prefer to stay. Sonya says it's fine for her to stay with them, as they're family. She suggest talking to Kyle, as it might help to lighten the load...
No 26
Kyle is cleaning the BBQ when Georgia arrives. She wants to talk specifics about how Kyle should be involved in the baby's life.
KYLE: I just want this co-parenting thing to work.
He offers to go halves on all the baby's stuff. She asks if he can afford it, and he says he can. He also offers babysit at weekends and nights, so she can get "penalty rates", but she turns down his offer to move in.
No 22
Josh is (not really) watching TV when Amber arrives. She tells him that the Turners don't blame him for the lawsuit, so he needn't worry if that's why he didn't stay for dinner. He's channel-hopping while she's talking. She explains that winning meant a lot to her and she wanted to share it.
AMBER: Aren't you happy for me?
JOSH: I've already heard this from Chris, so can you just drop it.
She's puzzled, but he fobs her off, saying he's going to the gym and she should go.

By Lassiter's Lake
Callum has bought a padlock, following some research on romantic ideas on the internet.
BAILEY: OK, so not only is it tiny, but it's also unoriginal.
Callum insists that it's not creepy (as Bailey suggested) but symbolic. It shows your commitment. He puts the padlock onto the chain-link of the bridge.
CALLUM: OK. That does look kind of lame.
Bailey tells him to buy a card and write something nice. Callum says it's no wonder he's single.
Hospital
Georgia is trying to get a weekend shift, but it's proving difficult. Karl says that senior nurses tend to get priority. He suggests that she take the emergency nursing course, so she'd be more likely to get shifts, and furthering her education is a good thing. She points out the course takes a year, so she'd have to drop out half way through. Besides it costs $15,000.
GEORGIA: I just... I don't think that I can afford to right now.
KARL: Can you afford not to?
Dial a Kyle
Kyle is working at restoring an old rocking horse. Georgia thinks they should save for essentials.
KYLE: When things are slow, you can do other stuff.
Georgia is concerned when he says that things have been slow for a couple of weeks.
Charlie's
Georgia asks Sheila about starting a small business. Sheila says it's tough, and hard work is no guarantee.
SHEILA: One day your business is slow, next day it's belly-up.
Sheila tells her to stick to nursing, especially with a baby on the way.
Gym
Josh is training on an exercise bike, without wearing his sling. Brad tells him to put it back on. Josh tells his father he's sure he's going to make it to the Games. When he tries to put the sling on, he groans in pain.
Hospital - treatment room
Karl has put a dressing on Josh's upper arm, and tells him that he's overdone things, but with rest and ice he'll be fine. Josh is hopeful of making altitude training.
KARL: I realise most of what you've been told has come from your father.
JOSH: Yeah, well, I need to focus on my recovery. He just tells me what I need to know.
Karl says that he's sure Brad had good intentions, but the chances of Josh being an elite athlete are extremely low.
By Lassiter's Lake
Callum has now got several padlocks with red ribbon. Bailey still thinks it's lame, and suggests he needs some more. They're still discussing/arguing when Paul arrives. Bailey is all for taking them off, but Callum says they're for Valentine's Day. Paul's unimpressed, but Callum's undaunted and continues his pitch.
CALLUM: Couples will be brought here to Lovers Lake to put a lock on this bridge, just like in Paris ... And then afterwards, they'll drop lots of money at local business.
Dollar signs appear in Paul's eyes.
Charlie's
Charlie's is decorated with a few hearts and flowers. Paul comes in, and Sheila tells him she's not taking any decorations down. Paul wants more! Chocolates, champagne, everything conducive to romance.
PAUL: I've just been reminded how valuable love is.
Paul suggests they print a leaflet telling people they can leave a padlock on the bridge at Lovers' Lake (as it's been renamed for the day). Sheila and Terese are taken aback at NuRomantic Paul.
No 22
In flashbacks, Josh remembers qualifying for the Commonwealth Games, falling off the cliff, and hearing from Karl that he's unlikely to swim competitively again. Amber comes round to apologise for nagging him, but he says he acted like a jerk. He tells her he saw Karl, and it wasn't good news, but he's not giving up. She knows he always follows his dreams.
AMBER: In a few months, you'll be back to breaking records and being the Josh that I love.
JOSH: You make it sound like you only love me because I'm a swimmer.
AMBER: Don't be ridiculous. I love you because you're a champion.
She says that he's never given up. She assures him that when he's on the podium, she'll be there taking the photo. He looks downcast. She's concerned, but he tells her that nothing's going to stop him.
Dial a Kyle
Chris and Kyle chat about the rocking horse. Chris asks Kyle if things are looking up for him and Georgia. Kyle says maybe, and she knows he will be there for her and the baby. Chris points out they have some trust issues to sort out.
KYLE: I want her to think of me like this rocking horse.
CHRIS: What, thick and old-fashioned?
KYLE: No! It's got flaws, like me. But once you smooth out the rough bits, and get everything right, you'll see that it's solid, reliable and good for years to come.
No 30
Georgia tells Sonya that Kyle is doing and saying the right things, but there's a problem: his job. He may not be able to support her financially. Sonya points out it's the nature of small business, and besides, she (Georgia) has an income. Georgia says only if she works full time. She can't get the shifts that pay more. She's come to a decision: she's going to move back to live with her parents so that she can do the emergency nursing course.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Georgia tells Kyle she's moving, and he's not happy
- Paul gives Kate some chocolates for Valentine's day.
- Mark/Kate in a lift
