Kate leaves a message on Kyle's voicemail, saying Georgia's asking questions and she doesn't know how to respond. She asks him to call her back.

Ramsay Street
Ajay is about to give Rani a lift to school, when both Callum and Bailey appear in the street at the same time. They all give each other tortured looks, and Rani runs after Callum. She knows he can't forgive her, but she's desperate for him to change his mind about being in the play, since understudy Jayden is dreadful in the role of Sanjay. Cal's decision stands however, and he walks away from her. Ajay tells Rani not to worry about Cal for now, and just to concentrate on the play.

Erinsborough High School
Rani and Bailey discuss the Callum situation; Rani suggests Bailey talks to him, but he's sure it'll just make things worse. Bailey tells her they have no option but to go ahead with the play, with Jayden as Sanjay.

Nearby, Sonya and Susan discuss costumes for the play, and Callum's punishment for destroying the set. It turns out he's been tasked with creating a new one, and Susan asks him how he's doing with it as he walks by. He's being sulky about it, but Sonya tells him it's only fair he replaces the set, since he destroyed the original. Callum says 'fine', and marches off; Susan insists to Sonya that Callum will get over it. Susan then takes a call from Kate...

No 26 (garden)
... who claims she's ill, so won't be coming into work. She justifies her absenteeism to Chris, insisting that she's genuinely not feeling well, but he doesn't appear convinced. Sheila arrives, having returned from taking Kyle to Frankston, where he is now being looked after by his mother Sharon.

SHEILA: Anyway, I need to take a shower, because Sharon's water- pressure in Frankston is just like Niagara Falls. And I am in no mood to be waterboarded.

Kate invites Chris to join her for a coffee, but he makes an excuse and walks off. She asks if he's mad at her for some reason, and Chris just stares at her.

KATE: You know.

Chris confirms Kyle told him about sleeping with Kate, and makes it clear he's not happy about being stuck in the middle. He also tersely tells her she ought to examine her reasons for keeping the truth from Georgia - is it for Georgia's benefit, or Kate's?

Erinsborough High School
Sanjay understudy and two- bit antagonist Jayden is making clear his delight about getting to take Callum's part in the play, and thus kiss Rani. As Jayden gloats, Callum, who is painting the set, broods silently. Sonya comes in, and despite Jayden's taunts, convinces Callum not to rise to the bait. Cal leaves to help Sonya with the stage, shrugging off Rani's attempts to get him to stay.

Eden University
Cal and Sonya bring in the props for the play; she apologises for not telling him straight away about Rani and Bailey kissing. Sonya promises Cal that he will feel better in time, and suggests he try listening to Rani's explanation for what she did; after all, everyone makes mistakes.

CALLUM: I want to hate her. But I can't.

Sonya looks sad as Callum walks off.

No 26
Georgia arrives to ask Sheila how Kyle's doing in Frankston. Sheila tries to reassure Georgia that she's not to blame for Kyle's sulking, but adds that she might want to let Kyle fend for himself for a bit when he gets back to Erinsborough, and only step in when he complains.

Sheila leaves for work, and Georgia confides in Chris that she feels stupid for the way she smothered Kyle. Chris tells her there might be other reasons for Kyle leaving; and suggests Georgia go to Frankston herself to find out what's going on.

CHRIS: If he's made a mistake he'll probably admit it, and then you guys can work through it.
GEORGIA: Mistake?

Realising he's said too much, Chris makes out that he meant the mistake of running away to Frankston. Georgia says she can't go today, as her car's been playing up, and asks if Chris could look at it for her. He says he will, reassuring her that If she has questions for Kyle, she needs to get the answers.

Eden University
Bailey tries to apologise to Callum, but gets short shrift for his efforts. Bailey says Cal can treat him however he likes, but that Rani's really upset; and that it's Cal she's meant to be with. Callum isn't interested, calling Bailey a 'gutless bailer' for trying to steal his girlfriend. Bailey's insistent that if Cal re- enters the play as Sanjay, it might help him resolve his real- life issues with Rani. But Cal insists he isn't going to do the play just to make Rani and Bailey feel better, and tells Bailey to leave him alone.

No 30
Georgia fills Kate in on her plan to go to Frankston and resolve things with Kyle - and Kate is keen to talk her out of it, lest the truth be revealed. While Kate's forced to agree that she doesn't think Kyle and Georgia should split up over their recent arguments, she argues that Kyle probably needs some time to sort his head out, adding that she's worried about what might come out of his mouth. During the conversation, Georgia lets on that Chris has been encouraging her to go to Frankston, which worries Kate even further. Despite Kate's best efforts, Georgia insists she's going.

Erinsborough High School
Rani hangs up her costume, which also happens to be Priya's wedding sari. Sonya comes in, commenting that it's beautiful and comforting a slightly emotional Rani. Rani confides that the play won't be the same without Callum in it. Sonya says she knows Rani feels bad, but she has to understand how upset Cal is - if she's serious, she'll have to fight to get him back, and make a gesture from the heart.

RANI: I could rework the end of the play again. I mean, if he won't listen to me, maybe I could rewrite the big turning- point scene, and say what I have to say through Rani and Sanjay.
SONYA: Hmm... Isn't the play on this afternoon?
RANI: Yeah. I'd better get to work.

Fitzgerald Motors
Kate confronts Chris over his telling Georgia to go to Frankston, but he's still cold with her, accusing her of not wanting to get found out - and rejecting her feeble excuse that Kyle and Georgia weren't technically together when Kate slept with Kyle. Chris asks Kate if she's comfortable with the idea of keeping the secret forever; Kate says she isn't, but that seeing Georgia devastated again would be worse. Reminding Chris how cut up Georgia was after her split from Scotty, Kate tells him the same will happen again if she finds out Kyle slept with Kate. She asks him to 'stop this right now'.

Later, when Georgia returns to pick up her car, Chris has accepted Kate's arguments, and pretends the car needs more work doing on it, so she won't be able to drive it to Frankston today. Chris suggests it might be for the best to give Kyle some space. Georgia's surprised he's changed his tune in this regard, but concedes he might be right, and resigns herself to putting off the trip until the car's fixed. Chris looks guilty as she wanders off.

No 26
Chris reports back to Kate; he's done her evil bidding by preventing Georgia from going to Frankston, but isn't remotely happy about being dragged into Kate's mess. Chris asks Kate outright if she has feelings for Kyle, and she denies it straight away. He then asks if Kyle has feelings for Kate; again, Kate is confident that he doesn't, but Chris admits Kyle has hinted there may be more to it.

CHRIS: He doesn't know. But he does know this is not the first time something like this has happened.
KATE: That was different.
CHRIS: It was still a betrayal. You kissed Kyle while he was with Jade.

Kate argues that she and Kyle only slept together because they were both hurt, about their respective break- ups with Mason and Georgia. Chris says he sort of understands, and Kate apologises for his having to get involved. They wonder what Kyle's thinking right now, and Kate adds that she wishes he hadn't bailed to leave them to deal with it alone.

Eden University
It's rewrite- montage time for Rani, as she battles against the clock to get the revised play finished in time for the performance.

No 30
Rani arrives to see Callum, but when he sees her, he rudely puts his headphones in and ignores her. Snatching away his headphones and iPod, Sonya says he should hear what Rani has to say. Rani tells Cal she's rewritten Rani and Sanjay's big scene, and that everything she wants to say to Cal is contained within it. She begs him to read the new script, and leaves it with him, telling him that if he changes his mind about the play, he knows where they'll be. Rani leaves.

CALLUM: Can I have my iPod back now?
SONYA: Don't you think you should take a look at that?
CALLUM: No.
SONYA: What are you afraid of? Are you afraid that you might actually forgive her? Because if you do, it doesn't mean you're weak, Callum. It means that you are mature.

Callum grabs the script and rips it in half.

CALLUM: How's that for mature?
SONYA: Oh, yeah, okay. Just lie there - lie there and feel sorry for yourself. But know that if you do, nothing will change.

Eden University
The final dress rehearsal is about to begin, and Susan tries to cheer up a despondent Rani; Cal's made his decision not to be in the play, and Rani just needs to make the best of it, to avoid letting a lot of people down. Rani reluctantly agrees, and gets on with the rehearsal.

No 30
Callum lies on the sofa, looking sad - before retrieving the two halves of the script from the floor, and beginning to read.

CALLUM (voiceover): I trusted you. I cared about you. You took my heart and you stamped on it.
RANI (voiceover): It was a mistake, Sanjay, I swear. I don't know what I was thinking.
CALLUM: You were thinking about him, when it should have been me.
RANI: As soon as we kissed, I knew it felt wrong. I hated it, and I hated myself for doing it. I wish I could take it back but I can't. I just want you to know how much I care about you and miss you. I want you back, Sanjay. Please forgive me. Say you'll have me back - please?
