Previously on Neighbours
- Sheila warns Amber that Chris is not after in a relationship with her.

Lassiters Complex
Paul greets Terese, and thanks her for visiting at such short notice, asking politely after Brad. Terese, aware of the need for a quick transfer is keen to get to business and immediately discovers why the hotel has lost it's 5 star rating as a porter drops a suitcase out the front of the hotel, spilling the contents across the floor.
Harold's Store
Steph tells Lucas about a local brewery she's found He is curious to find out ore but she won't let on the details before heading off. Having watched on, Sonya, comes over and warns Lucas that Vanessa called her last night and is pretty upset. Lucas admits he is too, but insists he hasn't done anything wrong. Sonya points out that the timing doesn't look good, but he is adamant Steph is not the problem and is just being a mate, which is what he needs right now.
Ramsay Street
Amber spots Chris and goes over to say hello. She comments that they haven't caught up in ages and Chris admits he's got a date that afternoon with Seamus. Amber assumed he taking a break from guys for a while, but Chris feels it's right and heads off for a run, leaving Amber downhearted.
Number 30
Sonya is concerned about how Steph is manipulating Lucas and forcing him and Vanessa apart. Toadie agrees, but he's friends with all of them and doesn't want to see any of them get hurt. He reveals that he's found legal documentation that shows Max took custody of Charlie to take him to Fiji, before Steph got parole. Now that she's out she's got a chance of getting access, but admits Steph is probably too scared to do anything further.
Number 28
Steph is annoyed that Toadie went snooping, till he points out it was available on public record. Steph claims she can't put Charlie through the pain of a court case again and is insistent that he leaves the subject alone. Toadies doesn't see what the issue is, as it should all run smoothly this time, but Steph's reaction doesn't confirm his thoughts and it is clear she is hiding something.
Charlie's Bar
Chris and his date arrive at the bar, only Chris has verbal diarrhoea and is talking nonsense; something about shirts and fashion. Seamus doesn't seem to mind, but agrees when Chris asks if they can attempt to start the date again; nerves got the better of him. As they sit down and grab a table Amber wanders in to ruin the mood.
Harold's Store
Paul is giving Terese a tour of the complex. They pop in to get a couple of coffees and he introduces her to Lauren. Terese excuses herself to go outside to make a personal phone call. Paul orders a coffee for himself and Terese and apologises to Lauren on Lucy's behalf as she's had to leave so quickly.
Number 28
Toadie can't fathom why Steph has given up on Charlie. Karl points out that they have to respect her wishes, but Toadie isn't convinced that she knows what she wants. Toadie wonders if he should get in touch with Max, but Karl isn't so sure.
Fitzgerald Mechanics
Steph pops by to see if Lucas can get in touch with Vanessa for her; she's heading off for a few days and needs her to cover the store. Lucas is curious about where she's heading and she admits she's off to the bike and beer festival in the Ranges. He admits it would be a good trip and is clearly tempted, but he needs to stay home.
Ramsay Street
Paul points out number 22 to Terese and explains it is the property she'll get if she takes the job. He also points out number 28 where Brad used to live. Terese reveals she is aware of Brad's history on the street and with his ex- wife Beth firmly off the scenes, she has nothing to worry about. On cue, Lauren arrives and the two women soon realise they both have teenagers at home. After a few pleasantries over local schools and husband's jobs, Lauren heads off whilst Paul and Terese head inside number 22.
Over on the other side of the court, Toadie catches Steph arriving home. She asks him to leave her alone and doesn't want his interference. He reveals he's spoken with Max and knows what happened and asks her to let him help her; as a friend. They head inside.
Harold's Store
Amber follows Chris around as he buys himself a drink. She's amazed that his date left him so early but Chris isn't bothered too much as he had a valid excuse. Amber insists she could find him a better guy and suggests they meet up that evening to discuss her ideas. She's cut off however as Chris' date phones and asks if he could meet up with him again, apologising for earlier in the day. Amber is not impressed and Chris starts to get suss. He thanks her for being such a good friend, but opts to go on his date that evening.
Number 28
Steph explains when Max got custody of Charlie, he brought him into the jail to say goodbye. After they left, she lost it and turned her room upside down. The next thing she knew she woke up in hospital; restrained. It's why her parole was knocked back the first time. Toadie thanks her for sharing it with him and reassures her that with time they will get her to a position when she can see her son again.
Later Steph fills Karl in on the details, including the medication she's on. He is sympathetic to the fact that it's an illness like any other and should be treated as such. Steph agrees and confirms that she is also having regular counselling sessions too. It's helping her to work through the things that triggered it in the first place, giving up Adam, the guilt.
Karl is pleased that she is feeling happier again and looking forward to her trip away. He thanks her for keeping him in the loop and heads out to sort some laundry. Steph takes the opportunity to put her medication packet into the bin whilst no one is watching.
Lassiters Complex
Paul is looking for three things in a manager: loyalty, dedication and excellence. Terese reassures she can deliver on all three, so the job is hers. He shakes her hand but she doesn't look overjoyed as he would've expected. She reveals she already knew. Lucy offered her the job the day before and she's one of the conditions the hotel (and Paul) need to secure the Eclipse apartment deal. Paul feels as though he's wasted hours, but Terese reveals he has impressed.
The Flat
Steph pops over to see Lucas with beers and food. Vanessa phones but things are rather tense, especially when Lucas refuses to apologise and claims she is the one who overreacted; he is quickly cut off. Steph offers to go, but Lucas insists she stays and they tuck into the beers.
Charlie's Bar
Amber pops in and bumps into Seamus who isn't impressed to see her. She asks him not to mess about with Chris as his last relationship ended badly. It turns out Seamus isn't interested in a serious relationship and is just looking to have some fun. He asks Amber not to be around by the time he returns to the bar. Sneakily Amber picks up his phone and uses it to send a message.
Lassiter's Complex
Outside, Amber runs into Chris who is a bit miffed that Seamus has suddenly called off his date. Amber suggests he just leaves it and forgets about him, but Chris is keen to get an explanation. She manages to persuade him to leave it, given there are plenty of other people out there, plus in the meantime he has her to keep him company. Giving him a hug, Amber has achieved what she wants and they head back to Ramsay Street.
