Number 30
Sonya and Toadie have managed to get Lucas and Vanessa to replace Connor and Jade at the last minute. Toadie is relieved because he knew something big and bad was going to happen, and now it has and they've dealt with it. They start to cheer themselves up with thoughts of their honeymoon when there's a knock at the door. It's Paul who has good news and bad news. There's raw sewage running through the Lassiters ballroom and kitchen leaving them out of action. However he has a plan for a marquee, sunshine, al fresco dining.
TOADIE: So you're talking a barbeque in a tent in a car park?
Paul also wants to give them a suite for the day to use to relax or freshen up before the honeymoon etc.
TOADIE: There's no chance this mishap could be resolved before tomorrow?
PAUL: What part of raw sewage do I need to be more explicit about? Oh come on, it's going to be amazing. I promise. See you tomorrow.
Toadie thinks he spoke to soon and jinxed it. Sonya starts up a little song about massages and cocktails and mocktails and breathing.
Harold's
Priya has found the perfect dress for Rani for the wedding. Rani does not think it is the perfect dress. She thinks it is ugly and can't believe her mother expects her to wear it in public. Priya tells her the dress she wanted was not appropriate for a wedding that's not in a nightclub so she will wear it out of respect for Toadie and Sonya. Too late, Rani has left the shop.
Number 32
Bailey is unimpressed that Amber is a) trying to suck up to Mason and b) still going to believe Robbo despite everything they told her about him. Amber says that Robbo is trying to make up for things that happened in the past and she'd like them all to patch up their differences. They are going to be together even though their parents will freak when they find out and it might help change their minds if Mason and Bailey are on their side.
Mason says he'll talk to Robbo (Bailey looks incredulous) and Amber is over the moon and assures her brother that she will see that he has changed. She leaves and Bailey wants to know what Mason has planned. Mason doesn't share and Bailey looks suspicious.
Wedding chapel
Vanessa waits outside for Sonya while inside Susan assures Toadie that Nell is sound asleep. Lucas hands Toadie a handkerchief to mop his sweating brow.
TOADIE: You'd think I'd be used to this by now.
LUCAS: You know what they say, fourth time's a charm.
Just then the doors open and Sonya and Callum appear and proceed up the aisle with Vanessa behind. There are smiles all around as Sonya joins Toadie at the altar.
REV: Who brings Sonya to be married to Jarrod?
CALLUM: I do.
Cal and Toad high-five. In the congregation Rani pulls awkwardly at her dress. Toadie begins his vows.
TOADIE: There have been times in my life when I've thought this love business was not for me but then I met you and that was the day that my life changed for the better. Today I get the wife. I get the family that I have always dreamed of. Sonya you are the person I am meant to spend the rest of my life with. You are my soul mate, you are my partner, you are my best friend. You're my love.
SONYA: When I came looking for Callum, I never thought I would find the person who would make me whole again, who would open my eyes up to the world, who would love me unconditionally. My love and my respect for you grow stronger every day. You are the breath within me. You are my everything.
Callum hands them the rings and they place them on each other's fingers. The vicar pronounces them husband and wife (he's done very little else in this whole ceremony) and the couple kiss enthusiastically.
Lassiters Lake
Mason and Robbo are planning the heist at Lassiters. Robbo is pretty casual about it all, but Mason wants to get it right. It's not "whatever" - they had a deal, they get the cash and then Robbo takes off for good. Robbo shows Mason the crowbar concealed within his jacket. Mason is not impressed and tells him to get rid of it.
ROBBO: You make it sound like you can't wait to see the back of me.
MASON: I can't.
ROBBO: Relax, when this is over I'm out of here. I was starting to get bored with your sister anyway.
Wedding chapel
It is photo montage time nicely segued into Angie taking snaps of the happy couple. Toadie realises that the best part of the day is that there have been no disasters - they're in the clear. Wait, I think that's the sound of a huge anvil I hear in the background.
SONYA: I promise there is nothing about today that I will ever forget.
*Crash, bang, clatter*
Lassiters
Sonya and Vanessa have been freshening up in the Lassiters suite and are waiting for Toadie to join them. He calls, but there is bad reception so Sonya walks around the outside of the hotel to get a better signal. In doing so she just so happens to happen upon two balaclava clad individuals (Mason and Robbo) shouting at each other about a security guard who was supposed to be on a lunch break and evidently wasn't. Robbo takes his balaclava off and is urging Mason to do so too when Sonya's phone rings, drawing attention to the fact that they are not alone. They all freeze for a moment and Sonya's attention is drawn to Mason's belt before they both run for it.
Cutting to the next scene, Sonya is describing what she witnessed to Matt but admits that she only saw the face of one of the guys involved. Paul wades in and Sonya would like to go back to her wedding day, saying that she's given as much of a description as she can for now. Matt agrees to get a formal statement later and Sonya and Vanessa hurry off.
Marquee
Kyle announces the arrival of the happy couple and everything seems rosy again. For everyone except Mason, that is, who looks distinctly on edge. The speeches are mercifully brief and to the point, then the couple cut the cake.
Callum invites Rani to dance and she accepts. As they make their way to the dance floor, Callum says how beautiful she is looking today. Rani immediately takes offence, deciding that Callum must be making fun of her because her dress is hideous.
CALLUM: I didn't say it was beautiful, I said you were beautiful.
Priya and Ajay witness the exchange and Priya wants to know what's wrong. A boy pays her a complement and this is how she reacts?
RANI: He's only saying it to be nice and I don't look beautiful, I look hideous and it's all your fault. I hate you.
She storms off. Ajay tells Priya not to worry, it's just a phase and an overreaction to them being back together. She'll come around.
Back in the marquee, the bride and groom take to the dance floor to perform their own very special brand of first dance. As Callum watches on in a mixture of embarrassment and disbelief, Paul approaches him and asks him to go and pick up a hamper from Charlie's for him.
CALLUM: Why don't you do it?
PAUL: Because I'm a very busy man and anyway it's a present for your parents as a thank you for being so good about the change of venue.
CALLUM: You're the one thanking them, why don't you go and do it?
PAUL: Ten bucks change your mind?
CALLUM: Make it twenty.
It's a deal, Paul hands over the cash and Callum heads off to Charlie's.
Kyle announces that it is time for Sonya to throw the bouquet. As Mason offers Sonya a tray to put her glass on, Sonya is momentarily distracted by his belt buckle, which seems very familiar. She shrugs it off and leaves the marquee with Kyle, leaving Mason looking even more uncomfortable.
The girls get lined up outside and Kyle makes a final call for single ladies looking at Priya. She points out that she's not single and smiles warmly at Ajay. She tells her husband she'll be out in a minute, she just wants to text Rani. The share a very loving kiss before Ajay heads out to watch the bouquet throwing. He passes Rhys on his way who is taking refuge from the action that could get very ugly.
Behind the marquee, one of the cooks is connecting a gas bottle to the barbeque.
As she prepares to throw the bouquet, Sonya catches sight of Mason and has a flash back to the incident behind the hotel. As Kyle counts down, just a fraction out of Sonya's sight the gas bottle catches fire. Sonya throws the bouquet into the air and Vanessa catches it. Everyone claps and cheers but Sonya's expression is frozen as the marquee explodes in a burst of white hot heat and everything turns to darkness.
