Previously on Neighbours
- Andrew reassuring Paul he can sell 3 apartments by next week.
- Sheila interesting in a studio apartment.
- Paul planning on keeping some information quiet from investors.
- Mason telling Lou he wasn't the one who wanted to keep quiet about him being in Juvie.
- Mason saying to Bailey that he wants a fresh start.
- Brian spelling it out to Priya what it will take to get him to drop the allegation.
Number 24
Priya stops Ajay from getting worked up about Brian by deliberately letting a plate fall to the floor when she was drying up. She then uses the excuse of Rani needing a new dress for the wedding as a way of getting away from Ajay - it's very tense between them.
Lassiters Complex
Someone has dumped the remains of the Erinsborough News office into the courtyard and Matt asks Paul who he should write the ticket out to and is surprised to discover that his employers are re- opening a sub- station in Erinsborough and that it's them he should write the ticket out to!
Number 32
Lauren thinks of the benefits of the new station - Matt will be closer to home but he's more concerned about being too near to Paul! Mason sarcastically adds in that he will have enough officers keeping an eye on him too! Matt asks what has happened to them/the great relationship they had and is bluntly told that sending his son to prison ended that. "It was supposed to be a fresh start for all of us," Matt says and pleads for them to do just that but is told to "dream on!"
Harold's Store
Rani doesn't seem too impressed at Cal trying to chat her up in the store and happily escapes to go shopping!
Bailey reassures him that Rani does indeed like him and he shouldn't try so hard to impress her.
Lassiters
Sheila drops by to chat to Paul about the deposit for her apartment - she's after some assurances before signing on the bottom line. She's spotted in the small print that it's still subject to council approval but Paul brushes that aside, saying they are on board with it, which is totally different to what Sheila found out when she called them. He spins her a line about why would he invest his time and money if he didn't have approval, which she is more than happy to hear along with him confirming she has a long term future at Charlie's. With a pinch of his bum she heads off to the bank!
Harold's Store
Rani isn't happy with the dress which Priya bought for her; she preferred other ones that Priya ruled out because they were 'inappropriate'.
RANI: Lots of girls my age wear dresses like that.
PRIYA: Well lots of girls your age dress like tarts.
RANI: Yes, you'd know all about that wouldn't you.
Priya is gobsmacked at that comment especially as a silent employee was delivering their drinks at the time! Rani does apologise and Priya tells her about not being in a rush to grow up, the adult world isn't always a fun place. "I've noticed," she replies back after a moment or two then tries to talk about the O'Loughlin's and Priya's ears pick up when she comments that Alistair has said things haven't been good between his parents for years.
Number 28
Priya calls round to give Susan an update and tells her that based on what Rani told her, she called Mrs O'Loughlin and she didn't seem surprised at what Priya told her. "He's done it before?" Susan suggests which Priya agrees with but unfortunately no formal allegations have ever been made. The pair then come up with a plan to talk to female employees at his work, beginning with the PA. Priya is surprised at Susan helping her but she's still got that journalistic instinct in her. Both apologise to each other over how they reacted regarding the Principal job and Susan says that if they can get someone to talk, it may put an end to it.
Charlie's
Susan is having no luck trying to get someone to talk to her about Brian.
Sheila comes into the bar to give Andrew the deposit for her apartment after getting reassurances that she will get the apartment with the lake view and not the car park view. She also gets confirmation that the cooling off period is 3 days.
Number 32 exterior
Amber rushes from the house to check if something is still in her possessions (it is) and gets sprung by Bailey. She manages to pacify him about what she was looking for then turns and begins interrogating him about Rani after he calls out to her that her hair is nice (exactly what Cal said in Harold's earlier). Sis thinks he has a crush but he explains that Cal is hung up on her so can't make a move.
Charlie's
Brian spots Susan sitting in the bar when he enters the bar and comes over to congratulate her on being made Principal. She explains she's doing a freelance journalism piece (and cleverly hidden what was written in her notebook) and decides to subtly quiz him on her topic of sexual harassment in the workplace. He talks about what is in place at his firm so she comes straight out and asks him about making an indecent proposal to Priya! Brian claims that Priya is lying to get her onside and is surprised at her being taken in.
SUSAN: I think I know when someone's telling the truth.
BRIAN: Priya's guilty. All the evidence is in my favour.
SUSAN: That would be alright if it was just Priya but she's not the only one is she?
Brian refuses to sit and listen to these allegations but Susan claims she has 8 women who are prepared to come forward and expose him for what he is! "You're lying!" Brian retaliates with but with a poker face on, she replies back "am I?!" Susan then threatens to show Ron at the education department the list or his wife.
BRIAN: This is blackmail.
SUSAN: No... this is blackmail - stop telling lies about Priya Kapoor. Call whoever you have to call to make sure she's reinstated as Principal of Erinsborough High or a prominently placed story will appear in tomorrow's paper. It's your call.
Number 24
Priya comes off the phone to tell Ajay and Susan that Brian's resigned from the board and the complaint has been withdrawn and to top it all she's being reinstated as Principal. Its happy hugs from Ajay and Susan explains how she got Brian to talk. Ajay leaves to go pick Rani up and Priya tells Susan, "that god that's over," but doesn't want to take things further (as Susan wanted to) because she doesn't want Ajay ever finding out.
Lassiters
Andrew updates Paul on his sales and discovers that they don't have final approval for the development, despite what he's been telling potential buyers like Sheila. Paul thinks it's just a mere formality until they do get it and goes mad when Andrew asks if Sheila will get her money back if they don't get permission. He warns his son to toe the company line or he will be replaced.
Lassiters Complex
Over a coffee, Matt tells Lou about how things aren't great with Mason because of his role in him being sent to Juvie. "We've lost something," he tells his father in law but Lou is sure it will come back even if it might take a while. He also adds that being incarcerated changes a person! Matt asks how long it takes to revert and Lou jokes with him that he doesn't think he has! The joke doesn't go down well but Lou tries to make amends by suggesting that since he gets on well with Mason, that he keeps an eye on him.
Number 32
Bailey enters the house and is surprised to hear Mason chatting to someone from Mount Isa - he's been contacting them to try and get Robbo's number (it's changed). He's unimpressed at his big brother trying to contact him but Mason wants to give him his share of the $10k even when Bailey points out its buried under rubbish at the tip!
(Later)
Commercial break later and Mason calls Robbo on his new number. Robbo is happy to wait for his share of the proceeds and as they catch up, Mason reveals where they have now moved to and offers to give him the address if he wants to come and visit. "Text it to me," Robbo tells him and promises to drop in if he's down that way.
"Are you serious?!" Bailey tells his big brother and is insistent that it was Robbo who broke in despite Mason again claiming that he doesn't know where they live. "If you let him, he will stitch you up again," Bailey warns him but Mason isn't listening and walks out the room.
Lassiters Complex
Robbo is a lot closer to Mason than he realises - he took the call while at the Lassiters Complex!
