- Ajay looking for his wife as she's up to no good with Paul!
Previously on Neighbours
Karl registering for internet dating.
Susan finding out some info about Bradley.
Susan summons Bradley to see her after she's found out he lied to get the job and wants him to say why he left his last job. He explains that he stupidly got involved with the boss' daughter, who was there for 2 weeks as an intern and when it got messy, it was suggested he seek alternative employment. Susan isn't amused at him keeping quite although he claims it was personal so didn't need to mention it at all. "Am I fired?" he asks but Susan doesn't reply.
Susan unloads on Karl about the latest developments surrounding Bradley. He doesn't seem as bothered as Susan is but warns her off sacking him or Summer may never forgive her.
Priya is surprised to see her hubby home and isn't exactly welcoming of him being very close to her either. She mentions having an early night and that is just what Ajay was thinking too!!
Paul sends Priya a text asking her to meet him at the school.
And this text is just the excuse Priya needs to get away from her hubby, texting back that she's on her way. Ajay is concerned at the extra work his wife seems to be taking on but she reassures him that she is fine.
Kate stops Paul to chat about some queries she has about the VET programme and he can't get rid of her quick enough!
Priya manages to pacify Ajay about the amount of extra work she's taking on and manages to leave and he plans on having the dinner ready for when she gets back.
Kate tries to arrange a time to chat to Paul about her VET query, which he obviously doesn't want to arrange right now, so he pacifies her with letting her know later when it will happen.
Sum gives Karl the thumbs up when he finishes getting ready for a date (pity she's used to her old man having horrid tastes in shirts!). He then subtly chats to her about the Bradley situation and that Susan has her best interests at heart.
She then swap places with the newly arrived home Tash, who doesn't approve of his dress sense and wants to improve it, which he doesn't want to happen! He fears his date (Olivia) is going to find out about the over-embellishment of his profile but she re-assures him that he can make it work. "I'm going to be honest with her upfront," he says but Tash warns him not to - it might put her off!
Karl spots his date and its Olivia the writer who is waiting, not Jen the medical student as some older viewers might have thought! Both seem as nervous as each other as they pick up their menus.
Tash enters the bar and spots the couple and conjures up a plan - she wants the waitress who is doing that section to act as if Karl is super important! "We treat all our customers as if they were super important," Andrew reminds her! She then explains why she wants it to happen but is told if she wants that, she's got to do it herself. "Fine!" she replies then makes her way over to stalk out his table waiting for the right moment to pounce, which she literally does!
Tash claims that her mum is Karl's biggest fan, going to all his gigs and buying all his stuff. She even then gets out her phone to get a photo so her mum believes her! Photo over and Tash leaves them and Karl apologises for the interruption and that it doesn't usually happen before heading to the bar to get himself a drink.
Kate runs into Ajay in the store and asks if he can hand a folder over to his wife since she seems to be having trouble finding her. When she then mentions that it's about the VET, he tells her that Priya is at a meeting about it now and suggests she heads to the school to join in.
AJAY: I don't think she'd mind.
Kate thanks him for his suggestion and agrees to deliver a piece of chocolate cake to her (from him) in return.
Priya reports to Paul that all the staff have gone for the night and just as they are about to pash Kate enters the office, causing them to spring quickly apart. Kate explains that Ajay sent her and makes herself comfortable to join in the meeting!
Olivia and Karl are eating their meal when Tash decides on another intervention and ropes Andrew into her plan too. This time she is after his autograph for her mum! She then departs and the conversation turns to Olivia's writing and confesses that she embellished her profile to make it sound like she was a bigger published writer than it turns out she is (she self-published her books selling only 15 copies).
OLIVIA: I'm sorry. I only lied so I'd sound more interesting and attractive online. What kind of loser does that?!
Karl looks quite guilty as he takes a sip of his wine.
Sum enters Susan's office to apologise and thank her for her concern, but she will make her own choices even if Susan doesn't agree with them. Susan admits that it's the age gap that concerns her but Sum is okay with that because being open with each other is more important.
SUSAN: Being honest?
Susan then asks if he's being honest with her and holds her tongue when Sum replies yes! Sum gushes about how much Bradley is helping her writing and changing subjects, invites Susan to a yoga class she is planning on attending and that Bernard isn't teaching it!
Kate is so up for the VET programme! Priya manages to subtly get rid of Paul by suggesting he has some talk with the hotel staff over the students going there and when Kate wants to go too, he suggests she'd be better doing a PowerPoint presentation about the programme. She is sold and Priya suggests she accompanies Paul to the meeting with the hotel to make sure he covers all the points. Again, Kate is sold on that happening and she departs and the illicit lovers breathe a sigh of relief and grab a quick kiss before leaving to go to Lassiters.
Olivia again apologises for embellishing her profile and its Karl's time now to come clean when he admits to doing the same thing, well with Tash's help. Both seem relieved at the truth coming out and she suggests they start afresh, which Karl is readily agreeable to!
Bradley explains more about what happened at his old job (he chose not to pursue a wrongful dismissal case) and why he kept quiet (two other 'in the bag' jobs not coming through when they found out the truth) but although Susan's not exactly pleased with how he's conducted himself, because his work is good she's not going to fire him. "Don't think I wasn't tempted!" she warns though when he admits surprise but does give him a warning - no more lies or he's out on his ear! She also adds in that she doesn't want to see Summer hurt either.
BRADLEY: You've made that point very clear. Neither do I.
SUSAN: Then we shouldn't have a problem.
Paul wants to get up close and personal with Priya in their hotel room but she wants to send Ajay a text first but he switches her phone onto silent mode so they can TITTNL uninterrupted!
The lovers have had 40 winks after their "exercise". Paul gets out of bed first and hurriedly dresses before telling Priya to leave the room 5-10 minutes after him but instead she falls back to sleep and misses Ajay calling for her because she can't hear the phone ringing!
Ajay is getting worried that he can't get hold of his wife.
Kate calls round to show Priya her PowerPoint and Ajay quizzes her about the meeting. She explains it finished ages ago and that Paul and Priya were going to Lassiters to talk to someone about the work experience there and suggests that perhaps they just got caught up? Kate suggests that Priya's phone is on silent when Ajay mentions his wife isn't answering her phone but he's still worried about her and is going to head to the hotel now he knows where to start looking for her. "I'm sure she's fine," Kate tells him as they both exit the house.
Priya is still sound asleep in the bed.
