- Paul overhears Priya saying that Ajay is away at a conference, then Ajay tells her he's turned it down so that he can be at home.
- Paul is annoyed: he thought Andrew could handle the business. Andrew says he can.
- Bradley and Summer kiss. Susan tells Karl she is worried about Summer getting hurt.
Summer and Bradley are discussing how to present an article to present the story they want to. They sit at a table outside Charlie's. Bradley orders a beer from Pierce (aka Psychowaiter, who cut up Sonya's card). Summer orders a Shiraz '05. Pierce asks her for ID. Summer says that she's a regular, and she's 19. Pierce says that he still needs to see her ID. Bradley offers to show Pierce his ID. He rolls his eyes, by which time Summer has found her ID. He takes her order and goes off. Such charm!
Priya asks Ajay if he's sure about Singapore: it's a lot to give up. He assures her that it's fine. There's no point in working hard if they have no life together. He'll have another opportunity next year, but now his priorities are with her and Rani. And since Rani is out with the thug / boyfriend, they have got the whole place to themselves! Ajay is clearly in the mood to TITTNL, but Priya isn't. Ajay asks her what's up. She says she's not feeling very well. He tells her to stop cooking - he'll go out to the shops and pick up some food, and she should just relax. Her (rather unconvincing) smile fades as he leaves.
No 24's drive
Karl and Toadie walk up the drive when they see Ajay getting in his car. Karl says he can't believe he's given up the all- expenses- paid- trip. Ajay says that Toadie deserves it and will do the firm proud. Karl joking asks if he's sure, and Toadie replies that it's been a while since Karl went on a conference! He asks Ajay if he's OK with it, and Ajay assures him it's fine. Toadie says that's good because he's already told Sonya. Ajay says he has to go. Karl asks Toadie if he's worried about leaving Sonya on her own...
Sonya is talking to Jade on Skypevideo- call, while rubbing her tummy. She says rather glumly that Toadie is thrilled about the opportunity. Jade says she'd be thrilled too. Sonya asks how the bootcamp is going, and Jade says it's exhausting. Georgia comes in and says she's done the washing, then apologises for interrupting. She waves enthusiastically at Jade and they start chatting. Then Georgia looks at Sonya, and tells to have an awesome chat. When she's left, Jade giggles and does a Georgia impression. Sonya tells her to stop it - Georgia is just chirpy.
Karl tells Toadie that Georgia has been a breath of fresh air at the hospital. Toadie thinks Georgia is perfect: she's a nurse and look after Sonya if there's a problem. Karl has a dubious look, which Toadie picks up on.
Sonya tells Jade that Georgia is lovely and means well, but she's dreading being alone with her for a week. Jade says that Georgia and Sonya are very similar.
JADE: By the time I get back, you and Georgia are gonna be BFFs!
Sonya pokes her tongue out at Jade.
Karl tells Toadie that Georgia is just out of college, and thinks she's a bit distracted. Toadie asks if he means she's a ditz. Karl says she's got a lot to learn. Toadie sighs. Karl adds that he doesn't think she has much experience in obstetrics.
Summer and Bradley come in, and he says she doesn't have to order from the kids' menu. Tash and Chris are sitting at the bar. Chris says they (Summer and Bradley) look weird together. Chris isn't sure he's Summer's type. Tash thinks they should give him a chance. They go over to Summer and Bradley's table and they greet each other rather awkwardly. Tash is surprised that Summer is drinking wine.
SUMMER: I drink wine all the time. Not that I drink all the time. When I do drink, I drink wine. ... Anyway, I heard '05 was a good year.
TASH: '05? Great year(!) Gwen Stefani, "Hollaback Girl", I hearted her, big- time.
BRADLEY: Nostalgic about 2005? Has anything really changed since then?
TASH: Hello? I have. I was 12.
Chris starts to talk about his obsession (Mario) but Summer interrupts to say they're in the middle of something.
Bradley is telling Summer about a deal he made, while Summer is distracted by Tash and Chris are throwing bottle tops into glasses in the background. Summer suggests they go somewhere quieter but Bradley's says he's fine, and adds that Summer seems a bit tense.
SUMMER: Why would I be. I just got ID'd and now my friends are acting like five- year- olds.
Bradley tells her the age thing doesn't have to be a big deal and that he'd want to see her if she was 19 or 90. He suggests they go and hang out with Tash and Chris because they're having a good time. Summer is not enthusiastic.
Bradley is talking about Dave Grohl from Nirvana. Tash and Chris are dubious that they were the first band he liked. Bradley says he liked Wa Wa Nee. This means nothing to them, but they insist he tells them more about the 80s. So he tells them he used to play the game they were playing previously at uni.
TASH: Was that before TV was invented?
BRADLEY: You're going to regret that when I smash you at bottle tops, girl.
They agree to a game, and Bradley suggests that if they miss the glass, they have to do a challenge.
Sonya is peeling potatoes when Georgia comes in and offers to help. Sonya tries to refuse, but Georgia persists. She asks Sonya about the compost bin, and bumps into her as she gets it. Toadie comes in and after asking about their day, wonders how nursing is working out for Georgia. She says she's loving it. He says it must be stressful. She replies it's challenging but hasn't been a problem. He asks if she's been on the maternity ward. She says a bit - it was her favourite part of training. She tells Toadie she also did a placement with a midwife, where she learnt a lot. She adds that in hospital, mothers get sidelined. Sonya looks round, interested, and asks her what she means. Georgia says that doctors rush to get the baby delivered. Toadie approves. Georgia says sometimes they rush to free up a delivery room, and they should listen to the mother's body more. Sonya says that's what she's been saying. She tells Georgia they're having a home birth, and Alex has been a godsend. Georgia is very enthusiastic, while Toadie stands in the background, excluded. Georgia goes out to empty the compost bin, and Toadie tells Sonya he shouldn't be leaving her along for a week at this stage of her pregnancy. She says she won't be alone: she's got Callum and Georgia. Toadie says that Georgia will get on her nerves. Sonya says that they're going to get along just fine.
Chris has gone to steal the bell from Lassiters' front desk. Tash is proud she came up with that, but then misses her go. Bradley tells to high five everyone in the bar and tell them she loves them. Summer misses, and Tash tells her to kiss the next person who comes through the door. It's Paul (followed by Andrew). Summer kisses Paul on the cheek - he is very annoyed. Andrews says he'll sort it. Tash tells him it's PR. He tells her to clear some tables. Then he tells Bradley and Summer to leave. Summer tells him it was a joke, and Bradley reminds him it's a bar. Andrew says people are trying to have dinner. Summer asks him if he's actually kicking them out, which he confirms, so they go.
Susan asks Karl if Summer is out with Bradley and he replies that he didn't interrogate her, which doesn't impress Susan. Karl invites her over for pasta, saying that he's uploaded the photos of Peru. Ajay comes in and is pleased to see there's some mud cake left. He tells Karl and Susan he's making dinner for Priya and Susan says she's very lucky. Ajay says he's the lucky one.
Paul opens the door to Priya. She tells him not to come round to hers, as Ajay isn't going to the conference.
PAUL: Mr Ambition has turned down a conference. What brought that on?
Priya tells him that Ajay wants to spend more time with her and Rani. Paul asks her where that leaves them, and she replies she loves Ajay - he's a good man. Paul agrees: he's dependable and faithful. Paul tells her she'll keep coming back. She can't believe what he's saying, but he says she enjoys the risk. She tells him it's too much, so he asks her where Ajay is, and how long he will be. She says he could be back anytime. They start to pash.
When Priya comes in, Ajay is already home, and he asks where she was. She tells him she went for a walk, saying she thought the fresh air would do her good. He is dubious, because it is cold outside. He sits her down on the couch, where he has got pillows and blankets. She smiles unconvincingly. He leans in to kiss her, but she pulls back, saying she doesn't want him to catch whatever she's got.
AJAY: Good thinking 99. But I'm going to take one anyway! Mwah!
And he stops behind her and kisses her cheek as he walks off to see to dinner. She looks unhappy.
Georgia and Sonya are talking about natural medicine. There's an alert for a video call. Toadie, who is busy in the kitchen, asks if someone's going to get it, but the women ignore him and carry on chatting. So he logs on and it's Jade. She briefly mentions Toadie's conference before asking if Sonya's around. Toadie tells her Sonya is chatting "with her new best mate". Sonya shouts over to Jade to see if it's important, and Jade replies that she's just bored, so Sonya tells Jade and Toadie to chat. Jade is a bit taken aback, and asks Toadie when the two women became best buddies.
JADE: They are so the same person.
TOADIE: Yeah, a bit too similar if you ask me.
JADE: Oh poor Toadie. Are they ganging up on you?
TOADIE: Yeah, it's all home birth this, and natural pain relief that.
TOADIE: Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. I heard Sonya say that Georgia's the sister she never had.
Bradley and Summer are dancing while Chris keeps time with the bell he stole earlier. Tash comes out and tells Chris not to let Andrew see the bell. Summer tells Tash they went to a bar with salsa dancing and she's going to take salsa lessons, although she's good already, which Bradley is dubious about. She asks where they are going next. Chris and Tash tease her about staying up. Tash says she's tired because Andrew's been yelling at her all day. Summer says she can't believe Andrew kicked them out. Tash says that Paul is on his case. Chris says he's going too. When they are alone, Bradley asks Summer if she wants to go to a club or a bar. She says maybe... and kisses him.
BRADLEY: Mmm. I think I'm liking maybe.
Since they can't go to Summer's place, Bradley suggests his place. Summer pulls out her Erinsborough News ID card. Bradley tells her that's really immature.
They come into the office, kissing, when Summer suddenly remembers the alarm, and goes to key in the code.
BRADLEY: Your desk or mine?
Summer giggles. A light on the alarm keypad is flashing.
There's a picture of Machu Picchu on the computer screen. Susan says it's amazing. The next photo is of Karl in a Peruvian hat. Susan laughs at his fashion choice, but Karl says it was freezing! Susan sighs and says she'd love to go. Karl says she should, but she doesn't think she'd be confident enough to go alone. Tash comes in and Karl asks her about work. She tells him that she hung out with Bradley, who's OK for an older guy. Susan asks if Summer was there. Tash tells them not to expect her home anytime soon. Susan's phone rings.
Bradley and Summer decide on Summer's desk as the alarm continues to flash.
Susan rings off and tells Karl that the alarm's gone off at work. She says she has to check, although it's been playing up recently.
Bradley and Summer are just about to TITTNL™.
