This week on Neighbours
- The stress of keeping quiet beginning to tell on Kate/Kyle.
- Tash's LARPing adventures becoming public.
- Troy determined to see Callum.
Previously on Neighbours
- Summer and Andrew pashing/heading to her room.
- Jade punching Troy.
- Toadie telling Jade of the possible legal repercussions of that punch.
Hospital
Troy is beginning to stir and we can see a flashback to what I presume he is dreaming about - Jade punching him and then tripping/the tool box landing on him. He then fully wakes up and says "Callum".
Number 30
The household gets woken up thanks to a call from Karl with the news that Troy is awake.
Number 26
Sonya calls to pass the news onto Jade/Kyle.
Hospital
Karl reminds Troy why he's been unconscious. Troy wants to leave immediately but Karl says no before dishing out instructions to the other medics in the room.
Number 30
Toadie looks at the positives about Troy waking up - it means Jade doesn't have a manslaughter charge hanging over her. There is a downside of course - it means he'll be moving out again.
SONYA: This is just going to start all over again, isn't it?
Number 26
Kyle is trying to reassure Jade that Troy being awake is good news for her. She however is thinking that it means he's back in their lives again.
JADE: It's never going to be over.
Kyle again tries to reassure her that Troy probably won't remember what happened thanks to the head injury.
Hospital
Karl seems satisfied with Troy's immediate tests but says more will take place in the morning. He mentions that the police want a word too but Troy is having none of it, he wants to talk to his lawyer first even before any medical tests that Karl wants to do on him.
Number 28 (next day)
Summer and Andrew sneak out of her room and as they are discussing plans for their day, hear Tash (they didn't think she'd be up so early) so Andrew hurriedly exits the house.
Harold's Store
Susan returns with their coffees and tries to engage Summer in conversation but she's still in floating dreamland after her night with Andrew.
Lassiters complex
And outside the store, Chris spots Andrew and tries to tell him about his night out with Tash but can spot the glaikit look on Andrews face and wants details!
Harold's Store
Inside, Summer tells Susan about her overnight guest! She seems decidedly positive that this could be the start of them being a couple again. Susan urges her to be a bit more cautious and to actually talk to Andrew and clarify things "so it doesn't get complicated."
Lassiters complex
Andrew has spilled the details to Chris and gets the same sort of conversation from his mate as Susan gave to Summer! Like Summer, he promises to talk.
Hospital
Ajay drops by to see Troy, not sure why he is wanted given the custody case was dropped. Troy wants assault charges brought against Jade and Sonya. "They nearly killed me," he tells Ajay but is told he needs to talk to the police. Troy wants Ajay to be with him when he does that and wants the custody case re-opened, but Ajay washes his hands of him, denying his accusation that he's been got at.
TROY: Callum's my son.
AJAY: Callum doesn't want to have anything to do with you.
TROY: You have spoken to them.
AJAY: Troy listen to me. Even if this did go to court, what Callum wants will have a strong bearing on any decision that was handed down.
TROY: He's my son!
AJAY: But you're fighting a losing battle. You have to ask yourself if it's worth it.
Troy doesn't reply and Ajay exits his room, wishing him "good luck."
(Later)
Troy calls Callum to say he's awake and hopes to be out soon. He then asks for Cal to come into see him in the hospital given it's the school holidays.
As he hangs up, Karl enters the room with good news on his condition - the swelling is going down faster than anticipated. Troy doesn't seem to be engaging with conversation, so Karl goes closer to him, and when he does, Troy says he's ready to talk to the police now.
Ramsay Street
Jade/Kyle and Sonya/Toadie meet up in the street concerned they haven't heard any more news. Cal appears when Sonya shouts - they are driving him to school for some holiday programme.
As they are ready to leave, Ajay appears and after a bit of small talk, announces he isn't Troy's lawyer any more adding that he "wasn't a fan of the guy" and especially after what he did to Sonya/Jade in the house bearing in mind he has a wife and daughter. They are all surprised to hear that Troy isn't laying a complaint when Ajay shows them a fax the police sent him. Callum is very sceptical and mentions the message Troy left for him, adding that he thinks it's so Troy will hope that he will go see him but there is no way Cal is going to be doing that!! Toadie wants to check out Troy's statement so Jade volunteer to take Cal to school.
School
Jade drops Cal off at school and mentions that he doesn't need to go, they can just hang out if the whole Troy thing is getting to him. "I'm over it," Cal tells her refusing to let Troy get to him anymore. Jade likes his attitude and says bye to him and he makes his way over to where Rani is sitting. It's a bit tense between them and she tries to break the ice by saying it sucks to be at school during the holidays and Cal tells her about what is going on and after a moment or two of uneasiness when Rani referred to Troy as his dad, they get over it and start hanging out like they used to.
Charlie's
And its awkwardness take two when Andrew and Summer run into each other in the bar. Tash correctly guesses what happened - not hard given how they are acting!! She goes off to do some work to let them chat and when they do both are talking about the complete opposite of what the other is thinking.
Hospital
Karl comes into tell Troy that he has a visitor - he is all excited because he thinks its Callum but it's actually Toadie who is his visitor. He repeats what Ajay said earlier that Callum wants nothing to do with him. Troy doesn't believe him and wants to hear it from Callum, so Toadie tells him that won't happen either; the lad doesn't want to see him. "He never will," Toadie adds for good measure.
TROY: He's my son.
TOADIE: We had that chat. See Callum knows what you've done, what you did to Jade, and its over.
TROY: I'll get the intervention order re-instated. I'll change my statement.
TOADIE: Which version do you think people are going to believe Troy? I hope you get better, I really do but the best thing you can do when you get out of here is leave.
TROY: I love him.
TOADIE: Then do the right thing by him.
Toadie leaves and Troy pulls the blood pressure cuff off his arm before pulling the IV out and exiting his room.
(Later)
Commercial break later and Troy is all dressed and signing the forms discharging himself from hospital. Karl spots him and doesn't want him to leave but Troy isn't listening and ignores Karl's plea for him to stay, saying that he'll take his chances before exiting the ward.
Number 30
Sonya isn't sure Toadie did the right thing and feels he may have just stirred up more trouble.
TOADIE: I was trying to avoid trouble. He's laid up in bed, his lawyer has given him the flick, there is nothing that he can do and you should be trying to relax.
"Yes well you don't make it easy," she replies and he decides it's time for a cuppa! Susan accepts his offer too and when Toadie goes to make them, tells her that she should listen to what Toadie has said but knows what Troy is like.
Susan the tries to distract her by talking about the baby and if they've thought of any names.
SONYA: No, not beyond Jellyfish?
SUSAN: You be careful, that might just stick!
Toadie then comes back into the living room talking to Karl on the phone. He hangs up then tells them about Troy discharging himself from hospital and taking off in a cab before security could get there. Sonya just gives him a look and he knows what she is talking about!
SONYA: You can't antagonise him like that.
He's about to reply to her when he hears a car pull up and goes to the window to check it out - right enough its Troy getting out of a cab and going into his house. "He looks terrible," Sonya remarks when she sees him after going over to where Toadie is standing. Susan wonders if he should call the police but Toad replies that he hasn't done anything wrong... but he quickly goes to lock the door!
Ramsay Street
Troy loads his car up with things and then when he's taking a breather, spots Jade as she stops to observe when coming back from her run.
He walks towards her with an angry look on his face but its Jade who speaks first to comment on him leaving. There is a bit of a verbal standoff between the pair of them but he issues a warning.
TROY: It doesn't matter how far away I am the fact you know I can come back whenever I want means I win.
JADE: The second you had to hobble over here to tell me that you lost.
Jade then turns her back on him and walks way, crossing Ramsay Street to where Kyle's waiting for her. "Are you alright?" he asks and confidently she replies "yes" before Kyle puts his arm round her shoulders and they walk together back towards #26 leaving Troy fuming at the other side.
He then walks towards his car and gets out his phone to call and check about a reservation he has for tonight - for himself and his son!
School
Rani and Callum finish the programme for the day and coyly she invites him for supper tonight since they hadn't previously got round to it given what then happened. Cal accepts and they head inside to see how long Priya is going to be so they can get a lift from her.
As they head back inside the school, Troy pulls up in his car.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Troy having some vision problems as he exits his car.
- Sophie/Kate chatting about Kyle.
- Toadie/Sonya hunting for Callum.
- Troy breaking into the school.
