- Andrew deleting the video file.
- Summer cheating during her English lit exam but Michael not remembering it.
- Priya investigating Noah's claim of Kate kissing him.
- Sophie ranting off at Noah then discovering the truth.
- Sophie telling Priya that the kiss did happen.
Number 24
Kate is surprised to see Priya on her doorstep and is told about Sophie's visit to see her, and tells Kate that it appears there was intimacy between herself and Noah - a kiss. Kate again denies it happened so Priya questions why Sophie would lie about it then.
Lassiters Lake
Sophie sits on the wooden jetty and rips out the pages of her music journal and throws them into the water.
Number 24
"Nothing happened between me and Noah," Kate states and tells Priya about Sophie's crush on Noah when she is pushing for an explanation. "So what she's jealous?" Priya asks and instead of replying, Kate wants to talk to Sophie to resolve it all but is told it isn't that easy - she's got to investigate it (again) because Sophie came to her.
Just as Priya leaves, Kate gets a text from Summer with a copy of the photo she took of herself and Sophie at the wall's official opening.
Lassiters Lake
Sophie gets the same text too but immediately deletes it. Just as she does that, her phone starts ringing - its Kate but she rejects the call and throws the phone into her bag.
Number 24
A still tearful Sophie arrives home demanding answers... real answers from Kate about what did happen. Kate wants them to sit and chat but Sophie isn't in the mood for that and lets it know that it was Andrew who told her.
SOPHIE: You lied to me and you've been lying to me for weeks.
Kate tries to make excuses like he didn't see properly but it just infuriates Sophie more because Kate is continuing to lie.
SOPHIE: I know that you kissed him.
Soph storms off to her room and Kate gets a call from Priya wanting a chat with both of them at the school.
Number 28
Summer is sorting out her notes when she comes across the post- it notes with the quotes on it from when she sat the exam initially and promptly throws them into the bin moments before Andrew enters the house. He wants them to go out for a walk but she wants to do more exam preparation.
Number 32
Chris is helping Tash with some domestic chores when Andrew arrives. He suggest to them having their own version of schoolies tonight (in the Men's shed) since Summer and Tash can't make it to the real one (Sum's got to re- sit the exam). Tash is up for it as long as Emilia can babysit her dad although Chris does question whether Summer will be up for partying but Andrew thinks a night off studying would really help her.
Men's shed
Lucas firmly chains and padlocks up the fridge as the teens begin to arrive for 'schoolies'. He pulls Chris aside to tell him the beer is padlocked up and for them not to get any ideas!
LUCAS: I'm serious. You raid our stash and I'll hunt you down!
Chris understands the message and Lucas departs, passing Summer on the way out... Andrew got her there on the pre- tense that the door was stuck and they needed Karl's key to get in. She isn't too chuffed at being away from the books but Andrew works his charm on her and she agrees to stay. He however is the one to leave after he gets a call from Priya asking him to come into the school.
School
Paul and Andrew enter Priya's office followed moments later by Kate and Sophie. Already you can see a split in the Ramsay sisters - Sophie chooses to sit next to Paul/Andrew, leaving late alone on the opposite side.
Priya begins by saying she's heard multiple versions of the same story and has to get to the bottom of it. She begins by quizzing Andrew about the video footage and he's denying all knowledge of it and that he made up the story so Sophie would leave Noah alone and calm down. Sophie is aghast at hearing this and accuses him of lying. Priya tries to calm her down too (she's getting a bit worked up) and accuses her of taking things out on her sister.
SOPHIE: No, I'm not making this up. Andrew, tell them the truth.
PRIYA: You're not the first teenage girl to fall in love with a boy.
SOPHIE: I'm not, that's not what this is.
PRIYA: No- one is judging you for that.
SOPHIE: You guys are all ganging up on me.
PRIYA: I'm sure you didn't mean to hurt Kate but sometimes jealousy makes us...
SOPHIE: (interrupting) I'm not jealous.
Sophie starts to get really worked up that she isn't lying and eventually Kate can't stand it no more and admits that there was a kiss.
School (later)
Commercial break later and Priya tells Kate she has to contact the Uni now because she is a student teacher and warns her that the VIT (Victoria Institute of Teaching) will also get involved. Andrew asks what the VIT is and Priya explains that it's the regulatory body for teaching in Victoria and Paul adds that they can stop Kate from getting her teaching qualification.
ANDREW: (astonished) What? Because of one kiss? Okay Noah knew what he did, he was 18.
SOPHIE: (sarcastically) Oh now you tell the truth.
ANDREW: I was trying to help Kate.
Paul tries to explain the rationale behind Andrew's motives and this doesn't win approval from Sophie!
KATE: I'm sorry, what else do you want me to say?
SOPHIE: Sorry that you got caught you mean?
KATE: No!
SOPHIE: You lied to me for months.
KATE: I was trying to protect you.
SOPHIE: Is that why you let him teach me guitar, just so you could be with him?
KATE: You know that's not true.
SOPHIE: Nothing you say is true.
Soph then asks what is going to happen to Kate before realising that really she doesn't want to know the answer because she doesn't care.
SOPHIE: She deserves everything she gets.
"Sophie," Kate shouts and ignores Priya telling her not to go because they haven't finished here, in favour of running after her sister.
Number 24
Kate enters the house moments after Sophie, who is already in her room packing up her stuff. Kate tries to explain why she kept quiet but it's not winning Sophie over.
KATE: It should never have happened. There's no excuse but there is a reason.
Sophie though doesn't want to hear that reason and tells Kate that she could never understand why she did something like that... and she won't believe another word that she says either.
Grabbing her bag and her guitar, Sophie announces she's going off to Sydney to live with Harry and storms out of the house without talking any more to Kate.
Paul arrives just as Sophie is leaving and finds out from Kate what is happening before stopping her from going after her sister. He talks some common sense into Kate and agrees with her that she isn't going to Sydney before adding that the walk to the bus stop will do Sophie good! "Can you just let me handle this?" he asks.
Bus stop
Sophie makes her way towards the bus stop where she immediately spots Paul sitting in his car. "You can't park there," she greets him with and is told that he can afford the fine!
Paul gets out of the car and sits next to her at the bus stop. She makes it clear that she isn't going back and he's fine with that but puts her heading to see Harry in a bad light - how's she going to get into his dorm, what are they going to do for money, what is she doing to do about school...
SOPHIE: Nothing you say is going to make me want to live with her again... ever!
Paul tries to talk to Sophie that Kate only did what she did because she didn't want her to get hurt and wants Sophie to see how hard things have been for Kate too.
SOPHIE: I don't care about her.
Paul then puts a plan into action - Sophie is coming home with him and she can either come voluntarily or he'll throw her in the car himself but she puts the stuff in the boot herself when she sees/hears Kate approaching. Kate wants her to come home and talk it over but Sophie refuses and asks Paul to take her home but he refuses until she tells Kate what is going on.
SOPHIE: I live with Paul now.
KATE: WHAT?!
SOPHIE: See I told her, now let's go.
Kate can't believe what is happening as she stands and watches Paul get into the car too and drive off.
Men's shed
Chris is curious to see what Tash wrote on his shirt (he did the same to her dress earlier on) and takes it off to see what she has written! Cue one happy Tash getting out her phone to record it!
Andrew returns and takes Summer to onside to tell her something - he tells her about Kate kissing Noah and then confesses to his role in it. Summer isn't amused at finding out the truth behind the file being deleted.
SUMMER: Losing that footage made me so stressed about my exam.
ANDREW: (interrupting) But I didn't have a choice okay. I had to protect Kate, she could lose everything.
SUMMER: And what about what I lost?
ANDREW: She's my cousin. I knew you'd be okay, the rest of your folio is amazing and everyone except you knows you're going to get the marks you need.
"Just stop," she tells him before walking off.
Number 24
Kate enters Sophie's unoccupied room and discovers the journal. As she looks through it, she can't but help notice how obsessed Sophie was about Noah before going into her pocket and tearfully sneaking a look at the photo Summer sent on her phone.
Men's shed
Summer has calmed down enough to let Andrew sit next to her on the stairs. She asks why he didn't tell her and again his reply is that he was trying to help Kate. "So you lied to me?" she asks and like a bit of a broken record he then replies that Kate needed him. The pair of them agree they don't want to argue with each other over it and promise not to lie to each other again and seal a 'no more secrets' deal with a kiss.
Men's shed (later)
Commercial break later and the teens hold a symbolic burning of the ties to signify leaving school. Tash pulls Andrew inside leaving Summer and Chris outside to chat.
Sum pulls him aside to confess she cheated in the original exam. Chris can't believe what he is hearing and Sum continues by saying Michael caught her but he collapsed soon after and now doesn't remember any of it. "Why would you cheat?" he asks and also enquires if anyone else knows. Sum replies nobody knows but is guilt- ridden for cheating; it's not in her nature. He asks what she intends doing and her reply is she thought he could tell her! His advice is to keep quiet until his dad finds out and Sum plans on doing that until he adds that his dad doesn't care what she does! Chris' next suggestion is owning up but the thought of doing that terrifies Sum as it could mean she fails Year 12. Again, he reminds her that keeping quiet/doing nothing isn't her.
SUMMER: What if it means I don't get into my course?
CHRIS: Look Summer I know you, you will not be able to live with yourself. Yes you might get into Uni but you'll never sleep again. You're going to have to say something.
