Previously on Neighbours
A bunch of backpackers turning up at #22.
Jade indecisive about her feelings for Kyle.
Jim collapsing.
Hospital
As she watches outside with Mal, Susan is concerned that Rhys and Karl can't seem to rouse Jim. Mal reminds his mum that Jim's cancer is terminal and suggests that maybe it's tired of fighting. "No, not yet," Susan insists because Jim isn't ready to die yet, adding that she won't let him either.
(Later)
Karl comes out of Jim's room with some good news for Susan that he's regained consciousness but warns her that it may not last for long. Susan seems quite oblivious that the end is near despite Karl trying to tell her.
Number 26
Jade enters her room to find it all clean and tidy (courtesy of Kyle) but she doesn't like it and when he comes in to explain things, sends him packing and orders him not to tidy her room again. And almost like and insolent kid, messes up the duvet.
Harold's Store
Andrew treats Summer to dessert and hot chocolate as a thank you for helping him sort #22 out although she does remind him that the whisky has to be replaced.
Sonya brings Jade a tea and then tells her about Callum calling her 'mum' although she misses it first time around because she is in dreamland. After re- telling her, Sonya asks for details and Jade admits that it's Kyle - she is constantly thinking about him. Sonya suggests telling him but Jade has a cunning plan - telling him and going on a date... which will mean it's out of her system if past experience is anything to go by! She begs Sonya to let Kyle have the afternoon off (he's working on her project) to carry out her plan.
SONYA: I don't think this is going to make you get over him.
JADE: That's 'cos you're not me.
Number 22
When Andrew (and Summer) enter #22 Paul tries to catch him out, over the whisky at least, by suggesting that the two of them share a dram since Andrew is almost 18. Thinking quickly, Andrew rejects the offer as he'd rather wait until he is legal and offers to make Paul a coffee instead. Paul bides his time by accepting the cuppa and returning the bottle to the unit, content for now to bide his time.
Dial- a- Kyle
Chris finishes helping Kyle unload his Ute when Sonya comes by to try and get him to take time off (for his date with Jade) but despite her coming up with good reasons for him to take the afternoon off, he steadfastly refuses and Jade isn't pleased when she reports in either!
Hospital
As Susan sits in Jim's room, Mal comes by to deliver a coffee to his dad and to give him a bit of a pep talk too - he urges him to keep on trying to reach out to Susan even if it is hard sharing her because of her love for caring for people.
Inside Jim's room, to her relief he finally comes round. He apologises for keeling over and likewise she apologises for arguing with Karl in front of him. He tells her to go to Peru and adds that Karl is a good bloke and not to waste what they have together.
Hospital
Commercial break later and Rhys catches up with Karl to quiz him on why he wasted precious hospital resources by giving Jim a blood transfusion. "Just because a person is dying doesn't mean we give them less care," he reminds his junior colleague. On that part he agrees, but not on the blood transfusion, so Karl asks how he would have handled things and Rhys replies just a simple drip especially since his cancer is terminal. Rhys still seems quite bitter that Jim refused chemo so Karl requests that he become Jim's doctor because hand- holding is his thing, unlike Rhys, and he begrudgingly agrees to Karl's suggestion.
(Later)
Karl takes Susan into an office to tell that he is taking over being Jim's doctor and why. He also explains that things are going to get rough in the coming months and he wants to support her too. "Thank you," Susan replies after giving him a mega smile and a kiss.
Number 26
Jade prepares herself for her date with Kyle by turning herself into a lady killer! God help Kyle is all I'll say!
Garage/Dial- a- Kyle
"I would be a dead man already," Andrew replies to Summer quizzing him on whether Paul knows about the fake whisky after she begins to get suss over why Paul invited Andrew to have a dram.
Chris comes out of the garage and Andrew pays him for the whisky but as the trio chat about dinner plans their conversation is immediately curtailed when they spot lady killer Jade approaching. The guys are literally drooling, and even Summer admits that she looks amazing, however when Jade goes up to Kyle and tempts him with the offer of sharing a drink he turns her advances down because he's busy working much to her annoyance!
Lassiters Complex
Ooh it looks like Andrew is getting an expensive 18th pressie from his dad - a blue Audi if the conversation Paul has just finished is correct. Lady killer Jade passes him and even he is impressed although Jade is still in the humph over being turned down by Kyle as she storms though the complex.
"He didn't even notice," Jade frustratingly tells her sister when they meet just outside the store. Sonya suggests that being honest and straight- forward by telling him how she feels would be a better way to progress but Jade has a different plan to that - putting the offer on the table since she doesn't play games, totally ignoring Sonya trying to talk her out of doing that.
Hospital
Susan is teasing Jim over the Round 21 score between the Blues and Fremantle (the Blues won 115- 85!!!) when Karl comes into the room to inform him about taking over being his doctor from Rhys. Jim is happy with the change although Susan seems to think he's a miracle worker too by promising Jim that they will go to Anglesea, totally ignoring Karl's cautionary approach.
Lassiters Complex
Andrew is putting 2+2 together too and coming up with a new car for his 18th after finding the Audi book Paul had earlier at home when he meets up with Summer outside the store for their dinner date with Chris. She urges caution in case he is disappointed as they head off to meet Chris.
Meanwhile, Susan is singing Karl's praise as Jim's doctor to Mal as they walk through the complex. He remarks that it's nice to see her out of the hospital too and bluntly tells her that while he knows Jim is important to her, she mustn't forget about Karl too.
Dial- a- Kyle
After standing and watching Kyle work for a bit (even though it's dark!), Jade takes the bull by the horns and going over to him. "Are you bored or something?" he asks and even suggests going for a drink but she takes him totally by surprise by kissing him!
KYLE: What was that?!
JADE: Did you like it?
KYLE: Yeah.
"So shut up and don't ask questions!" she demands before proceeding to pash his face off!
Number 26
The duo are still pashing away as they enter Jade's room and start to remove clothing before Kyle puts a stop to proceedings.
KYLE: I'm already kicking myself for asking this but this isn't going to change things is it?
JADE: Course not.
KYLE: Look I really like hanging out with you, I don't want to stuff that up.
JADE: Kyle, just relax okay, this is just a little fun between friends.
KYLE: Like our party pash at the housewarming?
JADE: Exactly.
KYLE: Sweet.
JADE: Mmm great. Now is your little bout of nerves over?
Looks like it must be as they resume pashing and removing clothes as we head into the final commercial break.
Number 26
Jade tenderly runs a finger down the snoozing Kyle's face with a small smile playing on her face. This motion causes him to wake up and he apologises for falling asleep on her and sleeping in her bed. He gathers up his clothes before he heads back to his room but pauses to confirm that the two of them are still cool and nothing has changed? "Nope, nothings changed," Jade replies and Kyle grabs the last of his stuff before saying "night" and exiting her room although when he leaves Jade still looks quite frustrated.
