Previously on Neighbours
The hunt for another housemate for #26.
Lucas finding out what his dad wanted him to do in his will.
Garage
Lucas tries his best to ignore his father's ashes that are sitting on a workbench as he works but it gets the better of him (and his concentration) so he moves them into a drawer where he can't see them.
Charlie's
Toadie finds Lucas playing darts trying to avoid work. He brings up his dads ashes and Lucas doesn't know why his dad picked him to scatter them and at a footy oval too. Toadie confirms to him that although the lawyer handed over his ashes, technically speaking nobody would know if he didn't scatter them.
Harold's Store
Jade and Kyle are impressed at the number of applicants their advert has attracted and plan to interview everyone today minus a break for Kyle to sort Lou's shower.
Number 26
Kyle and Jade moan about how much cleaning they will need to do before starting the interviews - they are missing Mark the clean freak! They then debate the traits that the new person must have and about the only thing they agree on, are no freaks!
(Later)
The interviews being and let's just say nobody is suitable!
Garage
Lou drops by to borrow a shifter (so Kyle can sort the shower) but when he's looking for one, finds the urn with the ashes. He tries to talk about it to Lucas but he isn't interested although when Lou leaves, you can see it's really getting to Lucas and the next place for the urn is the bin!
Number 26
The duo is going through those interviewed so far when Lou drops by with the shifter for Kyle. He takes the shifter from Lou but doesn't give in to Lou's demand to sort it now so he leaves ever so slightly annoyed!
Harold's Store
Toadie catches up with Lucas in the store to try and get him to deal with his dad's ashes - even so much as going to get the permit to scatter the ashes but like earlier, Lucas doesn't want to know. He tries to get Lucas to think about the significance of why his dad wanted his ashes scattered on an oval and suggests ringing Dan to see if he knows.
LUCAS: I don't need to ring Dan, it's just my old man stuffing me around like he always has and I'm sick of it.
Toadie doesn't think that is the case and Lucas opens up to say that is where they used to kick the footy around when he was little but doesn't think it's a big deal and walks out of the store.
Garage
It's slowly getting to Lucas as he stops work to first look at the urn, which is still in the bin, then climbs up the ladder to an area of the garage where some of his belongs are stored. When he looks through one box, he pulls out a photo album and begins to look through it and has a flashback himself as a young kid, playing footy with his dad and Dan, before once again looking at the urn in the bin.
Number 30
Toadie has a giggle at some of the photos of Lucas including one of him in his sailor's outfit as a five year old! Lucas now regrets not making things up with his dad although Toadie does point out that he wasn't to know how sick his dad was. He then confesses that he went to the funeral home but didn't go to the funeral before then changes topics to tell Toad about the oval and why it's important - dad would take them to that oval after work for a kick about, although not enough Lucas adds. "Maybe that's what he regrets," Toadie suggests and that he associates it with being a good father.
TOADIE: So what you going to do?
LUCAS: I don't know.
Number 26
Jade and Kyle are back interviewing again and looks like they've found a new housemate subject to Lyn agreeing and the lease being signed! However just as they are all getting on like a house on fire, Lou's appearance from the bathroom freaks her out.
Ramsay Street
Kyle and Jade chase after Danni trying to persuade her that Lou doesn't live at #26. Turns out it's the fact that it's such a tight- knit community that is putting her off and even the promise of changing the locks can't make her change her mind and she walks off down Ramsay Street.
The duo have a go at Lou when he walks down the street towards #24 but he's unrepentant - if Kyle had sorted the shower immediately he wouldn't have had to shower at #26 and isn't sympathetic at their plight of having to start again to find a new housemate.
At the other side of the street, Toadie gets a call from Peter to see if Lucas has scattered the ashes, but Toad isn't sure.
Garage
And we cut to the garage to find Lucas staring at the urn in the bin before he retrieves it and begins to clean it up.
Ramsay Street[/b]
Toadie wraps up the call by telling Peter that he'll get Lucas to call once the ashes have been scattered so all the formalities are tied up.
Garage
Lucas digs out his St. Kilda gurnsey and puts it on before picking up the ashes and exiting the garage.
Oval
Lucas has some more flashbacks to himself as a little kid playing footy with his dad and Dan before he picks up the urn and scatters the ashes over the oval.
As the credits come up, Mark's name has been removed.
