Meeting place somewhere
Supt. Hayes hands Mark the contract to sign about going into witness protection and that he will get only 30 minutes notice of when it will happen. He also gives him that the cover story for his sudden disappearance - a move to Special Ops but strongly warns him until the move into witness protection happens, he has to carry on as normal and not raise any suspicion that something is in the off.
Lassiters Complex
Lucas and Mark run into each other in the car park and agree to watch footy together the next night. As they walk towards the store, Mark also asks Lucas about doing some work on his bike, which he will drop off later on.
Number 26
Despite Jade being a bit suss, Mark wants to settles up his share of the bills, citing that he has the cash on him at the moment to do so. That excuse seems to pacify Jade and she gets him to pay off their account at Harold's (for emergency supplies only not so Kyle can put smoothies on it!) and will deduct that from what he's due on other things.
Lassiters carpark
Tash finishes a smooching session with Ivan and he brings up the photos and her looking seriously hot. She quickly grabs the phone and deletes it, citing that doing that it keeps him keen to get more.
Harold's Store
Kate wraps up a domestic call to Sophie (wardrobe crisis!) and Mark dishes out the complements about her being a good big sister. He pays off the #26 household bill but looks longingly at her before finally exiting the store.
Eden University
Chris and Tash aren't looking forward to their study day at the Uni although he dashes off to get some muffins to see if that will help them. While he is away, Bethany comes over to warn Tash about doing stupid things and lets her know that Ivan has been showing off the photo she sent him to his mates.
Garage
As he chats to Lucas, Kyle spots Mark's bike in the garage and wonders why it's in. Lucas replies that he's just being a bit precious about his bike and wanted him to check it over, even if he couldn't find anything wrong with it!
Harold's Store
Mark creeps back into the store and silently watches Kate working before she notices that he is there and engages him in conversation. He agrees to her suggestion of an omelette when he mentions he wants something to eat but asks for it 'to go' because he is on call. She sympathises with him being on call and invites him to dinner and they agree to a 6pm dinner date.
Harold's Store
Commercial break later and Jade is after Kate to go clubbing with her tonight (she bought a new dress) but Kate turns her down because she has a "friends" dinner date with Mark. Jade tries to say Mark wants more and has a go at Kate's calm attitude. "I just want to make sure it's the real deal," Kate finally explains to her but Jade's words of wisdom are that life is too short and she should just "go for it!"
Lassiters carpark
A very annoyed Tash catches up with Ivan and has a go at him over what he did with her photos. He claims he only showed them to one person and his excuse for doing so is just showing off how hot his girl is. "Those photos were meant for you no- one else," she reminds him and he apologies before telling her to forget about them (since they are gone).
Number 26
Mark puts money into various envelopes for his share of the bills. Kyle spots what he is doing when he comes in with the now re- painted door and mentions to him about spotting the bike at the garage too. He quizzes Mark over the hurry to pay the bills and it's brushed off as just being one of his idiosyncrasies and Kyle will get used to it the longer they live together.
Kyle enquires if Mark has had any more heavy breathers, he hasn't and is asked in return if he has mentioned that to anyone, likewise he hasn't, although Mark then goes on to say that its all been taken care of.
Charlie's
Ivan catches up with Tash to tell her he had a go at his mate for talking about the photos and he sends his apologies to her for doing so. As a way of an apology, he suggests that they go out to dinner and maybe visit some clubs too at the weekend. This seems to cheer Tash up and he gives her a goodbye pash, which is witnessed by Chris as he walked into the bar.
(Later)
Chris doesn't fall for Tash trying to say that she just met Ivan and confirms to him that yes, they are back together although unlike him, she doesn't see it as being a big deal. "He's an idiot," Chris tries to tell her but it falls on deaf ears and she accuses him of being "so high school!" until he reminds her that they are the same age! And her comeback is to say that once you starts dating, you see things differently too. "Is that right?!" he asks before gently following it up with that he doesn't want her to get hurt. "I'm smarter than that," she replies but asks that he keeps this between them so she doesn't get any hassle.
CHRIS: Just be careful.
Number 26
Mark jumps when he gets a text but it's just from Hayes to say there is no news. Moments later he gets another silent call on his mobile before that is followed up too on the house phone. When it does off again, Mark gives the caller 'what for' unfortunately this time it is a real call - its Kate, whom he quickly apologises to, blaming it on telemarketing calls. Kate mentions she's had them too but adds that it must be automated ones as nobody talks.
Number 24
Kate picks up on the fact Mark seems very jumpy and that he didn't eat much either although he manages to pacify her on both counts. He then decides to tell her that he regrets how he dealt with her following the Rebecca revelations and how it wrecked things between them. Kate is fine about it; she's already let it go and says that they both should.
The sexual tension between them is very high and Kate takes matters into her own hands when she kisses him. He is very much getting into the pash session that evolves but then suddenly stops and tells her that he, "can't do this," before walking out of the house leaving a bemused Kate behind.
Ramsay Street/Number 24
Mark walks out of the house unsure that what he has just done was right, whilst inside Kate disposes of dinner. Mark mentally debates over what he did before moments later we see him walk back into #24 and kissing Kate passionately.
