Previously on Neighbours
Sonya not happy about keeping Toadie in the dark that Callum and she have met previously.
Toadie finding thing things Callum got from Sonya and calling Harold for help.
Ramsay Street
Toadie ignores a call from Sonya as he stands waiting for Harold to arrive in his campervan. Both are happy to see each other and embrace warmly, with Harold remarking about the slim line Toadie!
Number 30
After a much needed comfort break for Harold, Toadie finally tells Harold why he asked for a visit - he wants an objective view from him over what to do about Sonya. Harold just finishes telling him that he is the only one who can make that call when Callum comes in and spots their visitor. He quizzes Toadie on how his date with Sonya went and Toad is forced to tell him he didn't go and Cal doesn't look too impressed with his dad! Harold interjects to explain that he is here to help them and adds that if he can help with Sonya too then he will, when Callum wondered why he was back in town.
Number 28
The K's are thrilled to see Harold back in town as he has a cuppa with them. They chat about the Sonya situation and Susan makes it clear she isn't happy that Sonya is still around although Karl tries to put a different slant on things, by saying that they don't know what Sonya is going through.
Lassiters Park
Jade catches up with her sister and she tells her about Toadie bailing on their date - she's confused as to what has happened since things were going so well before.
Sonya heads off and Jade spots Kyle chatting up some random woman and he succeeds in getting her number before she runs off. Jade goes over and quizzes him as to what he was up to and to find out if he's given up on Kate. Kyle replies that nothing seems to be happening on that front but should something happen, he'll be there and in the meantime he's content with having a bit of fun.
Number 24
Despite never having met, Sonya recognises her visitor immediately as Harold, and invites him in to his former house. She is a bit puzzled as to why he is there and thinks he's there to have a go at her when he begins to say why. However once she's had a bit of a rant, he explains that he'd like to hear her side of the story since he's heard Toadie's.
Charlie's
Over breakfast, Jade and Kyle banter back and forth about how to pick up someone and they enter a competition with each other to see who can pick up the most numbers for each other.
Number 24
Sonya explains to Harold what we've already heard her say before - her old life sucked and after seeing Callum's name, she decided to see where it went and see if she could see her son again.
HAROLD: And when you did?
SONYA: Everything changed. I wasn't expecting it.
HAROLD: Jarrod.
SONYA: He's easy to love.
HAROLD: Yes I know he is... and so is the idea of the perfect family eh?
Sonya denies that but does admit that she loves him. Harold asks if she is still angry, she is but with herself over how she handled things.
SONYA: If I had the choice of going back and never meeting Callum or Toadie, I'd do the same thing again and again and again. I love him and I want things to go back to the way they were.
Ramsay Street
Harold now looks at how well Sonya has been taking care of the garden and they chat generally getting on like a house on fire with each other whilst making their way down the driveway. She asks if he's going to be around for long and with a wry smile he replies no, because there is someone he wants to get back to. They warmly part with each other before she heads back to #24 and him towards #30.
Charlie's
After Jade talks to some random ladies and Kyle likewise with some random guys, she wins round 1 by getting 5 numbers for him whereas he only got 2 for her. "Karl Kennedy could have done better than that!" she insults him with! "It's not over yet," he replies!
Number 30
Harold comes clean to Toadie that he went to see Sonya to get her perspective. Toadie doesn't look too impressed but is keen to hear what she said but not that Sonya loves him because she's lied to him and thinks it's another lie. Harold doesn't think that and puts it to Toadie that deep down he loves her too. When Toadie doesn't say anything back to that last part, Harold asks why he called him.
TOADIE: To fix my problems like you always did.
HAROLD: I never fixed any of your problems. You had my support in everything that you did, nothings changed there. I can see why you fell in love with here, I really can but from here, only you can decide which way this goes.
(Later)
Commercial break later and Toadie ponders what Harold said to him and goes to dig out a photo of the three of them in happier times. He then puts the photo down and exits the house...
Ramsay Street
... and heads straight for Sonya who is putting out the wheelie bin. He begins by apologising for standing her up, and then mentions that he found the stuff she gave Callum and why he called Harold. "Why are you here now?" Sonya asks and he explains that why seeing Callum behind his back wasn't on but he can see why they did so. "I want to get past this," he says.
TOADIE: I actually really just want things to go back to the way they were.
SONYA: So do I.
As Sonya said that, she moved closer to Toadie, and he asks "where do we start?" "I guess this is a good a place as any," she says whilst reaching for Toadie's hand. He takes her hands warmly and has a tentative smile on his face before moments later Sonya breaks out into a full smile.
Charlie's
Its 1- 1 now as Kyle outscores Jade 11- 7 on the numbers front although she isn't too impressed at some of the people the numbers came from! They decide on sudden death - Jade will find him a date now and in return, he'll admit she is the better wingman. He agrees to the new challenge... but no lies this time! (Earlier Jade told the ladies that Kyle's wife died when on a skiing holiday!!!)
"What you see is what you get," is Jade's main selling point to the first lady (Lexi) she spots in the bar as she tries to get Kyle a date. Lexi isn't quite sure why Jade is setting her up but goes over to where Kyle is playing pool none the less, before agreeing to head outside to chat.
Lassiters Park
Toadie catches up with Callum as he plays football in the park. He tells his dad that it's him to blame for going behind his back to see Sonya. Cal then has a big smile on his face when Toadie tells him about wanting to keep sorting things out with Sonya although both know its still very early days. "I don't want you getting your hopes up mate," Toadie explains to him as the kick the football about. Cal then mentions Sonya's promise to him, and how serious he thinks she means it, and the whole atmosphere changes - Toadie doesn't look happy at all although he tries to cover it up in front of Callum.
Number 24
Sonya's happy persona is brought crashing down to earth when she lets an angry Toadie into the house. "I'm going to give you one last chance to explain," he tells her although she is very bemused as to what he is on about.
TOADIE: Lying to me I can deal with that but lying to Callum.
SONYA: (interrupting) Callum.
TOADIE: Who is a 13 year old kid.
SONYA: I didn't lie to Callum.
TOADIE: You're unbelievable.
SONYA: Toadie I didn't lie to Callum.
TOADIE: (angry) You made him a promise you can't keep.
(It now dawns on her what he's going on about)
SONYA: That wasn't a lie.
TOADIE: Is that right?! So you'll never relapse? You know that for sure?
SONYA: We just started talking again.
TOADIE: Is that supposed to be an excuse?
SONYA: He's just a kid, he doesn't understand all that stuff and I needed to give him something.
TOADIE: You manipulated him; you told him what he wanted to hear.
SONYA: No, I meant what I said.
TOADIE: Alright, so the next time you relapse who deals with the fall out?
SONYA: That's not going to happen.
TOADIE: YOU CANNOT PROMISE THAT!
SONYA: Well I keep trying Toadie, I am really trying.
"That's not good enough," he says defeatedly before going towards the door as Sonya pleads with him to stay.
